Abstract
Description
System for integrating screens in front areas of bleacher seats for advertising, information, immersive and interactive functions Technology sector Digital, Advertising, Immersive and Information. Background of the invention In sports stadiums, it's common to find fixed advertising elements or large-format LED, OLED, or similar displays. However, there are no widespread systems that utilize the area behind the seats in 15-seater folding stands, the front of the seatbacks, or the armrests as dynamic and synchronized advertising surfaces for tours of stadiums, theaters, halls, etc. This allows for the combination of small screens to visually create a single large-format display, or individual screens that are a major attraction for visitors. While there are seats with sensors or screens located on the back of each seatback to provide entertainment in other contexts (such as airplanes, stadiums, or when seated with the screen of the seat in front), this idea is different. It aims to utilize areas focused on the playing field or spectacle with screens when the seat has a folding configuration. The rear of the seat, the front of the seatback, or even the front of the armrest should face the playing field in a sporting context. The combination of a sports seat with one or more LED screens designed to display mass advertising, either collectively with other seats or individually, is unknown or at least not technically exploited. Explanation of the invention The present invention relates to a system for integrating electronic displays into bleacher seats, whether folding or fixed, for advertising, informational, immersive, and interactive purposes. The proposed system allows the visible front surfaces of the seats to be used for multimedia functionality and visual communication, both when the seats are in use and when they are unoccupied. Possible configurations: 1. For folding seats, several possible locations for installing the screens are considered: Rear area of the seat (visible when folded down). Front area of the seat edge. Upper edge area of the backrest. Front area of the backrest. 2. For fixed seats, several possible locations are considered: Front area of the seat edge. Upper edge area of the backrest. Front area of the backrest. 3. When the seats are equipped with fixed or folding armrests, several possible locations are considered: Front area of the armrest. Upper area of the armrest. Side areas of the armrest. Lower area of the armrest. 4. All these individual configurations can be made together at the same time. System functions: Advertising, information, and immersive function in unoccupied mode: When the seats are not in use (for example, during sightseeing tours or at events without spectators), the screens operate in sync, creating a visual mosaic effect, generating a large screen composed of multiple individual displays. This functionality transforms the seating area into a high-impact visual tool for displaying advertising, institutional, or artistic content. Information, advertising, and interactive function in occupied mode: When the spectator is seated, the screens can offer personalized, advertising, informational, or interactive content (for example, event statistics, sponsor messages, service menus, etc.).The inclusion of presence or pressure sensors is being considered, which would allow the screen to be automatically activated or deactivated depending on seat occupancy, thus improving the user experience and avoiding unnecessary distractions. Advantages of the invention: It allows for a new use of the stands as a large-format audiovisual display. It optimizes space through technological integration into existing elements. Enhance the viewer experience with immersive and interactive features. It adds value to the venue for uses beyond sporting events (tourism, shows, marketing). It's a great point of economic exploitation for sponsorships. It allows for the creation of immersive experiences with high visual impact. Brief description of the drawings The invention consists of a folding seat, fixed seat, or armrest that incorporates one or more screens in the areas visible from the playing field (rear of the folding seat, front of the backrest, front edge of both folding and fixed seats, and the front, top, and side surfaces of the armrests). These screens may be configured with one or more LED, OLED, or similar displays. The dimensions of the LED, OLED, or similar displays may vary depending on the design. Depending on the seat configuration, it can be: visible only when the seat is in an upright (folded) position, always active armrests or with a sensor with automatic disconnection, and in fixed seats when the configuration of this LED, OLED or similar screen is on the front of the seat equipped with an auto-off sensor so that it does not generate heat for the viewer if they use the seat. Each screen is connected to a centralized control system that allows real-time synchronization of digital content, and can function as individual screens or as a joint graphic mosaic (distributed video wall). Optionally, it can incorporate position sensors, wireless connection modules (WiFi or 5G), and protection against external environmental conditions through sealing elements against dust and moisture. To complement the description being made and in order to help a better understanding of the characteristics of the invention, a set of drawings is included as an integral part of said description, in which, for illustrative and non-limiting purposes, the following has been represented: Figure 1.- Shows a diagram of all possible screen locations that a fixed seat can hold. Figure 2.- Shows a diagram of all possible screen locations that a folding seat can hold. Figures 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10.- Show examples of possible screen configurations on a folding and fixed seat from front and side perspectives. Figure 11.- Shows an example of bleachers with the mosaic effect making an advertisement. Preferred embodiment of the invention The system consists of folding seats installed in tiered seating, each equipped with a high-brightness LED, OLED, or similar display located on the back of the seatback, visible when the seat is folded down. The displays are protected by an impact-resistant housing with an IP65 rating for outdoor use. Each screen is wirelessly connected (WiFi / 5G) to a central control system, which allows for real-time synchronization and management of the displayed content. The system can display still images, videos, and animations, either individually at each seat or by combining multiple screens to create a large-format visual mosaic. In this configuration, the seats include a position sensor and a pressure occupancy sensor. Unoccupied mode: the screens display advertising or institutional content coordinated with the rest of the stands. Busy mode: The screen turns off or switches to customized interactive or informational content, such as event statistics, service menus, or sponsor messages. Optionally, the armrests incorporate LED, OLED or similar screens on their front and side faces, also controlled from the same central system, allowing an increase in the advertising area visible to the public and broadcast cameras. The system can also be installed on fixed seats, in which case the screens can be placed on the front edge of the seat or on the front of the backrest, integrating sensors to prevent overheating or discomfort to the viewer. Additionally, the system can incorporate thermal dissipation elements associated with the display modules, such as passive heat sinks or active ventilation systems, in order to prevent heat buildup during operation, especially in configurations close to the user. Likewise, some of the screens, particularly those located on the armrests, may include user interaction functionalities through touch sensors, capacitive technologies, or other equivalent solutions. The control system can be implemented through a local management unit integrated into the premises or through remote systems connected via communication networks, allowing the updating, management and synchronization of the content of the screens.
