Description

Title of the invention: vehicle body, in particular railway vehicle, and vehicle comprising such a body

[0001] The present invention relates to a vehicle body, in particular a railway vehicle, and a vehicle comprising such a body.

[0002] In the field of passenger transport, in particular rail transport, transport vehicles comprise a body with a floor, a ceiling and two side walls delimiting a passenger compartment. Seats are arranged in the compartment for the passengers. During the journey, some passengers wish to chat with other passengers, for example to work, but the noise generated may disturb other passengers who prefer silence.

[0003] When a compartment comprises only one access door for the passage of passengers, the compartment comprises one end, opposite the door, which forms a dead end, and it is known to isolate this end by means of a partition, in particular a glazed one. In order to prevent the propagation of noise to the rest of the compartment, such a partition generally occupies the entire cross-section of the compartment and is fixed to the floor, the side walls and the ceiling. The installation or removal of such a partition is a cumbersome operation, which requires immobilizing the vehicle.

[0004] CN-10 779 2097-A describes a railway transport car comprising a com separate compartment, with specific benches and toilets. The installation of such a compartment is only possible in a railway vehicle with a specific body, the fitting of which is a heavy operation, which requires immobilizing the vehicle.

[0005] It is these problems that the invention more particularly intends to remedy, by proposing a system which offers a private space to passengers and which is easy to install or uninstall.

[0006] To this end, the invention relates to a body of a passenger transport vehicle, in particular a railway vehicle, which comprises a floor and side walls providing a passenger compartment. The body further comprises seats, arranged within the compartment for the passengers, some of the seats being arranged opposite each other and defining a pair of seats. According to the invention, the body comprises a private module, located in the compartment and fixed to the rest of the body, the private module comprising transverse partitions and an upper partition delimiting an isolated volume. At least one pair of seats is received in the isolated volume. The transverse partitions of the private module are reversibly fixed to the compartment floor, and the private module is self-supporting.

[0007] Thanks to the invention, the private module is installed around existing pairs of seats, without having to change the configuration of the seats in the compartment. This private module is self-supporting, that is to say that the transverse and upper partitions comprise a structure sufficiently strong to withstand mechanical stresses and vibrations when the vehicle is in motion, even in the absence of attachments to the side walls or the ceiling of the body. The private module, fixed to the floor, is easy and quick to install or uninstall, without having to change the configuration of the seats in the compartment. Passengers seated on the seats received in the isolated volume of the private module can thus converse in complete confidentiality and without being disturbed by the conversations and noises of other passengers outside the private module.

[0008] According to advantageous but not obligatory aspects of the invention, such a box may incorporate one or more of the following characteristics taken in isolation or in any technically admissible combination:

[0009] - the transverse partitions and the upper partition each comprise a face internal, oriented towards the isolated volume of the private module, while each internal face is essentially made of a material configured to absorb sound waves.

[0010] - The floor of the compartment comprises fixing rails, arranged parallel attached to a longitudinal axis of the body and intended to receive feet for fixing the seats and / or shelves, while the transverse partitions are fixed to the fixing rails.

[0011] - The private module comprises a back partition, which is parallel to a wall adjacent side of the box and which connects the transverse walls.

[0012] - The bottom wall incorporates a translucent central portion, preferably transparent, while the central portion is aligned with a window in the adjacent side wall of the box.

[0013] - The body comprises two pairs of seats, which are located on the same side of a cash register corridor, which are adjacent to each other and which define a square of seats, while the square of seats is received in the isolated volume of a private module.

[0014] - At least one of the transverse partitions of a private module receiving a square of seats defines a sheath, in which a movable partition is housed, the movable partition being guided in translation relative to the private module parallel to a transverse axis of the body between a rearward position, in which the movable partition is essentially received in the sheath, and a forward position, in which the movable partition closes the corridor.

[0015] - The body comprises a square of seats and a set of seats chosen from a pair of seats or a square of seats, which are aligned along the transverse axis of the cash register and are located on either side of the aisle, the square of seats and the set of seats each being received in a respective private module, whereas when the movable partition of the private module receiving the or one of the squares of seats is in the forward position, the movable partition cooperates with the private module located on the other side of the aisle so as to completely close off the aisle along the transverse axis of the cash register.

[0016] - The private module comprises an information device, located inside the isolated volume intended to disseminate information to passengers seated in the seats received in this private module.

[0017] The invention also relates to a passenger transport vehicle, in particular a railway vehicle, comprising a body providing a passenger compartment, this body being as described previously.

[0018] The invention will be better understood, and other advantages thereof will appear more clearly in the light of the following description of an embodiment of a transport vehicle body, in particular a railway vehicle, and of a transport vehicle in accordance with its principle, given solely by way of example and with reference to the appended drawings, in which:

[0019] - [Fig.l] [Fig.l] is a schematic top view of a cutaway of a vehicle in accordance with the invention comprising a private module in accordance with the invention, and

[0020] - [Fig.2] [Fig.2] is a perspective view of a private module installed in the vehicle of [Fig.l], observed according to arrow II in [Fig.l].

[0021] A passenger transport vehicle 2 is shown in [Fig.l]. The vehicle 2 is here a railway vehicle running on rails 4 of a railway installation.

[0022] In the illustrated example, the rails 4 are assumed to be rectilinear and parallel to each other, defining a longitudinal direction of the rails 4, which is also a direction of movement of the vehicle 2. The rails 4 are assumed to be horizontal here and define a horizontal plane PL. The plane PI is located in the observation plane of [Fig.l].

[0023] The vehicle 2 is here a train, which comprises a body 6. A single body 6 is shown in [Fig.l]. Alternatively, the vehicle 2 comprises several bodies 6, connected to each other. The body 6 has an elongated shape parallel to the rails 4 which defines a longitudinal axis A6 of the body 6.

[0024] For convenience, a longitudinal plane P2 of the vehicle 2 is defined as being a vertical plane parallel to the longitudinal axis A6. The plane P2 being orthogonal to the observation plane of [Fig.l], the plane P2 coincides with the longitudinal axis A6 in [Fig.l]. A transverse axis A7 is also defined as being an axis orthogonal to the longitudinal plane P2. The transverse axis A7 is therefore horizontal and orthogonal to the longitudinal axis A6.

[0025] The body 6 comprises a floor 8, two side walls 10 and a roof 12. The floor 8, essentially flat, is horizontal here because the rails 4 are horizontal. The side walls 10 are arranged opposite each other parallel to the plane P2 and have openings, such as windows 13 or doors. Two windows 13 are partially visible in [Fig. 2], while the doors are not shown. The roof 12, essentially flat, is parallel to the floor 8 and connects the side walls 10 in the upper part of each body 6. For each body 6, the floor 8, the side walls 10 and the roof 12 together delimit a compartment V6 for accommodating passengers separated from the outside of this body 6 by the elements 8, 10 and 12. The roof 12 of the body 6 is thus a ceiling for the compartment V6 where the passengers are accommodated.

[0026] In [Fig.l], the roof 12 is shown partially cut away. Seats 14 are arranged inside the compartment V6 for passengers, the seats 14 being fixed to the floor 8 and / or to the side walls 10. In the example illustrated, the seats 14 are oriented parallel to the longitudinal axis A6 of the body 6, that is to say that when a passenger is seated on a seat 14, this passenger is seated either in the direction of movement of the vehicle 2, or in the opposite direction.

[0027] In the illustrated example, the seats 14 are arranged in longitudinal alignments, i.e. the seats 14 of compartment V6 are aligned parallel to the longitudinal axis A6. In the illustrated example, the seats 14 are arranged in three longitudinal alignments, denoted 16A, 16B and 16C.

[0028] An aisle 18 is provided between the seats 14 to allow passengers to move within the compartment V6. In the example, the aisle 18 separates the seats 14 of the alignment 16A from the seats 14 of the alignment 16B. The aisle 18 is here rectilinear and extends parallel to the longitudinal axis A6 of the body 6. The longitudinal axis A6 is here shown in the middle of the aisle 18.

[0029] The seats 14 are preferably arranged in transverse rows, that is to say that certain seats 14 are aligned in a direction parallel to the transverse axis A7. Two seats 14 of the same transverse row and located on the same side of the aisle 18 are so-called “neighboring” seats 14. Two neighboring seats 14 are oriented in the same direction. Each seat 14 of the alignment 16B is therefore adjacent to a seat 14 of the alignment 16C and oriented in the same direction as this seat.

[0030] Some seats 14 of the same alignment 16A, 16B or 16C are arranged facing each other, that is to say that two passengers, seated on these seats 14 facing each other, face each other. Two seats 14 facing each other define a pair 20 of seats 14. In the example, a tablet 21 is arranged between two seats 14 of the same pair 20, each tablet 21 here having a folding part to facilitate the passage of passengers. In [Fig. 1], some of the tablets 21 are shown in the folded configuration, and some of the tablets 21 are shown in the deployed configuration. In [Fig. 2], the tablets 21 are shown in the deployed configuration. The configuration of the tablets 21 has no influence on the implementation of the invention.

[0031] Two seats 14 facing each other in the alignment 16B are therefore adjacent to two seats 14 in the alignment 16C, also arranged facing each other, and which therefore form another pair 20 of seats 14.

[0032] Each pair 20 of seats 14 of one of the alignments 16B or 16C is therefore adjacent to a pair 20 of seats 14 of the alignment 16C or 16B. Two neighboring pairs 20 of seats 14 form a group of four seats 14, called a square 22 of seats 14. A square 22 therefore comprises two neighboring pairs 20 of seats.

[0033] In the illustrated example, each transverse row comprises three seats 14, belonging respectively to one of the alignments 16A, 16B or 16C. In a variant not shown, one or more seats 14 of the same row are sometimes omitted, for example a seat 14 of the alignment 16A is omitted, in order to provide a space for receiving wheelchairs or a space for storing passenger luggage.

[0034] The seats 14 of the same transverse row are generally all oriented in the same direction. In the example illustrated, each square 22, located on the alignments 16B and 16C, is aligned, along the transverse axis A7, with a pair 20 of seats 14, located on the alignment 16A. The body 6 here comprises two squares 22 of seats 14, and two pairs 20 of seats 14, each aligned with one of the squares 22.

[0035] In the example, the two squares 22 of seats 14 are each received in a private module 40, while the two pairs 20 of seats 14 are each received in a private module 40'.

[0036] As a variant, only one of the pairs 20 of seats 14 is received in a private module 40', in which case only the square 22 aligned with this pair 20 along the transverse direction A7 is received in a private module 40. Each private module 40 or 40' has dimensions adapted to the number of pairs 20 of seats 14 received in this module 40 or 40'.

[0037] Alternatively, only one of the pairs 20 of seats 14 or one of the squares 22 of seats is received in a private module 40 or 40'.

[0038] We will now describe the private module 40 shown in [Fig.2], which receives a square 22 of seats 14, knowing that what is valid for this private module 40 can be transposed to the other private modules 40 or 40'.

[0039] The private module 40 is located in the compartment V6 and is fixed to the rest of the body 6. The private module 40 comprises transverse partitions 42 and an upper partition 44, the transverse partitions 42 and upper 44 delimiting an isolated volume V40, which here has a substantially parallelepiped shape. Preferably, the transverse partitions 42 are orthogonal to the floor 8 and parallel to the axis transverse A7, while the upper partition 44 is parallel to the floor 8 and the ceiling 12. The volume V40 is open onto the aisle 18, to allow passengers access to the seats 14 received in the private module 40.

[0040] The transverse partitions 42 are reversibly fixed to the floor 8 of the compartment V6. The private module 40 is self-supporting, that is to say that the transverse partitions 42 and upper 44 form a structure sufficiently strong to withstand mechanical stresses and vibrations when the vehicle 2 is in motion or when passengers lean on the transverse partitions 42. Thus, the private module can be mounted in the compartment V6 without modifying the internal cladding of the side walls 10 or the ceiling 12. The transverse partitions 42 and upper 44 are preferably made of a sandwich of a lightweight panel between two rigid protective layers, for example a melamine panel between two layers of aluminum.

[0041] The transverse partitions 42 and the upper partition 44 each comprise an internal face 45, oriented towards the isolated volume V40 of the private module 40. Advantageously, each internal face 45 is essentially made of a material configured to absorb sound waves. By “essentially”, it is meant that at least 70% of a surface of the internal faces 45 is made of a material capable of absorbing sound waves. Such a material comprises, for example, an elastic foam covered with a perforated fabric.

[0042] In the illustrated example, the floor 8 of the compartment V6 comprises fixing rails 46. Two fixing rails 46 are shown in [Fig. 2]. The fixing rails 46 are here arranged parallel to the longitudinal axis A6 of the body 6 and are for example intended to receive fixing feet 47 of the seats and / or the shelves 21. The rails 46 are connected to the structure of the body 6 and have for example a profile shape with a C-shaped section, the opening of which is oriented upwards, that is to say that the profile is open onto the compartment V6. The floor 8 is generally covered with a coating layer, not shown, which hides the fixing rails 46.

[0043] The transverse partitions 42 are here fixed to the fixing rails 46 of the floor 8, by means of fixing members which cooperate reversibly with the fixing rails 46. The fixing members, not shown, are for example cylindrical head bolts, the head of which is housed in one of the rails 46. Thus, during the assembly of the private module 40, the position of the module 40 along the longitudinal axis A6 is continuously adjustable.

[0044] The assembly and disassembly of the private module 40 is quick, because the fixing rails 46 are already present. It is sufficient to move and / or pierce the coating layers to access the fixing rails 46.

[0045] According to one embodiment, the seats 14 received in the private module 40, 40' are fixed to the transverse partitions 42.

[0046] The private module 40 also comprises a bottom partition 48, which connects its two transverse partitions 42. The bottom partition 48 extends parallel to the side wall 10 of the body 6, which is adjacent to the private module 40.

[0047] The bottom partition 48 comprises a central portion 52, which is made of a translucent material, that is to say one which lets light through, or preferably of a transparent material. The central portion 52 is, for example, made of glass or polycarbonate. The central portion 52 is aligned, in a direction parallel to the transverse axis A7, with one of the windows 13 of the box 6, so as to allow natural exterior light to penetrate into the private module 40 and, if it is transparent, to see through the window 13. A portion of a window 13, seen transparently through the central portion 52, is shown in thin lines in [Fig.2].

[0048] Optionally, lamps are provided in the private module 40, for example integrated into the upper partition 44. These lamps are not shown.

[0049] Generally, the transport vehicle 2 is equipped with a passenger information system - also called SIV -, for example in the form of display screens which are arranged in the vicinity of the ends of the compartment V6 and which broadcast information relating to the driving of the vehicle 2, stops, etc. The passenger information system and the display screens are not shown.

[0050] The private module 40 advantageously comprises an information device 53, represented here by a screen, which broadcasts information to the passengers seated on the seats 14 received in the private module 40.

[0051] The information device 53 is located inside the isolated volume V40 and is oriented towards the seats 14 received in this isolated volume V40. The information device 53 is fixed to one of the partitions 42, 44 or 48 of the private module 40, preferably at a height. In the example illustrated, the information device 53 is located at the junction between the upper partition 44 and one of the transverse partitions 42.

[0052] The private module 40 advantageously comprises a sheath partition 54, which is arranged parallel, at a distance along the axis A6, from one of the two transverse partitions 42 so as to define, with this transverse partition 42, a sheath 56. The sheath 56 is a hollow volume, which extends between the sheath partition 54 and the corresponding transverse partition 42. In the example illustrated, the sheath partition 54 is located outside the isolated volume V40, while the sheath 56 extends from the floor 8 to the upper partition 44.

[0053] The private module 40 also comprises a movable partition 58. The movable partition 58 is shown in dotted lines in [Fig. 2]. The movable partition 58 is guided in translation relative to the private module 40 parallel to the transverse axis A7 of the body 6 between a forward position, in which the movable partition 58 closes the aisle 18 and prevents passengers from passing in the direction of the longitudinal axis A6, and a retracted position, in which the movable partition 58 is essentially received in the sheath 56 and does not prevent passengers from passing in the direction of the longitudinal axis A6. The translational movement of the movable partition 58 between the retracted and forward positions, which is parallel to the transverse axis A7, is represented by a double arrow F58 in [Fig.2].

[0054] According to an aspect of the invention which is optional and which is not shown in the figures, a sheath partition 54, a sheath 56 and a movable partition 58 are also arranged in the vicinity of the transverse partition 42 visible on the right of [Fig.2],

[0055] Each movable partition 58 is, preferably, an automatic door, moved by a motor, not shown, and the opening of the movable partition 58 is controlled, for example, by a button activated by the passengers or by a presence sensor. The closing of the movable partition is for example controlled, after opening, by a time delay.

[0056] In the example illustrated, only the private modules 40 receiving a square 22 of seats 14 comprise a sheath 54 and a movable partition 58. When the movable partition 58 of a private module 40 is in the forward position, this movable partition 58 cooperates with the transverse partitions 42 of the private module 40' located on the other side of the aisle 18 so as to completely close the aisle 18 in the transverse direction A7 of the body 6 and to prevent the passage of passengers. When it is in the forward position, each movable partition 58 contributes to soundproofing the internal volumes V40 of the private modules 40 and 40' from the rest of the compartment V6, which guarantees the confidentiality of the conversations exchanged in these volumes V40 with respect to the other passengers.

[0057] In the example illustrated, the seats 14 are arranged in three longitudinal alignments, denoted 16A, 16B and 16C. Such a configuration corresponds, for example, to a first-class compartment V6. In other words, the body 6 comprises, on either side of the aisle 18, a square 22 of seats 14 and a seat assembly comprising a pair 20 of seats 14, the seat square 22 and the seat assembly being aligned along the transverse axis A7.

[0058] In a variant not shown, a fourth alignment of seats 14 is provided between the aisle 18 and the alignment 16A. Such a configuration corresponds for example to a second-class compartment V6, in which the seats 14 are narrower than in the first-class configuration with three alignments. Each square 22 located on the alignments 16B and 16C is thus aligned, parallel to the transverse axis A7, with another square 22 of seats 14, located on the alignment 16A and on the fourth alignment. In other words, the box 6 comprises, on either side of the aisle 18, a first square 22 of seats 14 and a set of seats comprising another square 22 of seats 14, the square of seats 22 and the set of seats being aligned along the transverse axis A7. Each of the squares 22 of seats 14 is then received in a private module 40, however only one of the two private modules 40 comprises a sheath 56 and a movable partition 58.

[0059] More generally, the body 6 comprises a square 22 of seats 14 and a set of seats 14 chosen from a pair 20 of seats or a square 22 of seats, which are aligned along the transverse axis A7 of the body 6 and are located on either side of the aisle 18. The square 22 of seats and the set of seats 14 are each received in a respective private module 40 or 40'. When the movable partition 58 of the private module 40 receiving the or one of the squares 22 of seats 14 is in the forward position, this movable partition 58 cooperates with the private module 40 or 40' located on the other side of the aisle 18 so as to completely close off the aisle along the transverse axis A7 of the body 6.

[0060] In the example illustrated, the seats 14 and the shelves 21 are fixed to the floor 8, and the bottom partition 48 extends to the floor 8. In a variant not shown, for example when the shelf 21, and / or the seats 14 and / or other fitting-out elements of the compartment V6 are fixed to the side wall 10 of the body 6, the bottom partition 48 has openings, allowing the private module 40 or 40' to be installed without having to remove the seats, shelves or other fitting-out elements.

[0061] According to another variant not shown, the bottom partition 48 is in several pieces, assembled together during the assembly of the private module 40.

[0062] The embodiments and variants mentioned above can be combined with each other to generate new embodiments of the invention.
