Abstract
Description
Title of the invention: Windshield wiper device and wiper equipped with such a device. FIELD OF THE INVENTION
[0001] The present invention relates to a windshield wiper device and to a windshield wiper equipped with such a device. STATE OF THE ART
[0002] A windshield wiper assembly is already known for a windshield wiper comprising a heating unit for heating the wiper blade and an elastic rail made, over a large part of its main longitudinal extension, in the form of two elastic rail sections separated from each other. The heating unit includes a heating element which has, along the main longitudinal extension of the elastic rail, an intermediate zone in which the installed heating element, viewed along the main longitudinal extension of the elastic rail, runs from one of the elastic rail sections to the other.
[0003] DESCRIPTION AND ADVANTAGES OF THE INVENTION
[0004] The invention relates to a windshield wiper device for a windshield wiper comprising a heating unit for heating a wiper blade and an elastic rail made over a large part of the length of the main longitudinal extension of the elastic rail by two elastic rail sections separated from each other,
[0005] the heating unit comprising at least one heating element,
[0006] having an intermediate zone along the main longitudinal extension of the elastic rail, and in which the heating element, particularly in the mounted state, extends along the main longitudinal extension of the elastic rail, from one of the two parts of the elastic rail to the other, this device being characterized in that the intermediate zone extends over at least a large part of the main longitudinal extension of the elastic rail.
[0007] In particular, the two lateral zones are provided respectively on opposite sides of the intermediate zone. Preferably, the two lateral zones extend at least practically completely over the maximum longitudinal extent of the heating element. The intermediate zone and the lateral zones are juxtaposed at least practically perpendicularly to the maximum longitudinal extent of the heating element.
[0008] The expression "practically perpendicular" refers in particular to the orientation of a line in a plane or direction, especially a succession of lines geometric shapes corresponding to the intermediate zone and the lateral zones, with respect to another line, another plane or another reference direction, in particular a line that includes the maximum longitudinal extension of the heating element; the line, plane or direction and the other line, other plane and the reference direction, in particular considered in a projection plane, form an angle of 90° with each other, the maximum deviation of which is less than 8°, preferably less than 5° and, in a particularly preferential manner, less than 2°. In particular, the intermediate zone and the two lateral zones are juxtaposed, according to the maximum longitudinal extension of the heating element.
[0009] In particular, the two lateral zones are directly joined to the intermediate zone, and in particular, they are connected by the intermediate zone. A heating element composed of a set of intermediate zones can also be considered, in particular, juxtaposed along the maximum longitudinal extension of the heating element, one behind the other. In particular, the intermediate zones extend at least largely along the main longitudinal extension of the elastic rail, in particular, at least practically completely along the main longitudinal extension of the elastic rail or the heating element.
[0010] Preferably, the wiper blade assembly is made as part of a wiper blade. Preferably, the heating element is mounted on the two lateral areas of the elastic rails, in particular on portions of the elastic rail. The elastic rail, in particular its portions, is preferably designed to hold or secure the wiper blade, especially along its entire main longitudinal extension. The elastic rail surrounds or clamps at least partially the wiper blade. The expression "designed to" means that it is a means specifically designed, intended, or equipped to perform a certain function. The fact that an object is designed to perform a certain function means that the object performs, executes, or ensures that specified function in at least one application or operating state.
[0011] Preferably, the maximum main longitudinal extension of the elastic rail, particularly in the mounted state of the wiper assembly, is at least practically parallel to the main extension axis of the wiper blade with respect to the maximum longitudinal extension of the heating element or the main longitudinal extension of the wiper blade. The term "practically parallel" refers to the orientation of a line, plane, or direction corresponding to the maximum main longitudinal extension of the elastic rail with respect to another reference line, plane, or direction, particularly a line corresponding to the main extension axis of the wiper blade, the maximum longitudinal extension of the heating element, or the main longitudinal extension of the wiper blade; the line, plane, or direction is compared to the other line, the other plane or the other direction, a deviation of less than 8°, preferably less than 5° and in particular preferably less than 2°.
[0012] By convention, the conjunction "or" used in the description is an inclusive or which combines the functions of "and" and "exclusive or".
[0013] Preferably, the two elastic rail sections are at least practically parallel. In particular, the two elastic rail sections are juxtaposed along the maximum principal longitudinal extension of the elastic rail. The two elastic rail sections are plate- or blade-shaped. The two elastic rail sections, particularly in the assembled state of the wiper assembly, lie in a common principal extension plane. The term "principal extension plane" designates a component, in particular the elastic rail sections, in a plane parallel to the largest lateral surface of the smaller parallelepiped that closely encloses the component and, in particular, passing through the center of the parallelepiped. It is also possible to consider that the elastic rail is in two parts along its entire main longitudinal extension, in particular the two parts of elastic rail are connected or the two parts of elastic rail are connected by at least one point of connection.
[0014] The heating element is preferably in the form of a heating film or, in particular, a surface-applied heating wire. The heating element transmits heating power through its two lateral zones and through the intermediate zone. Preferably, the heating element is fixed by its two lateral zones to the elastic rail, in particular to the two sections of the elastic rail, for example by bonding. A heating unit composed of a set of heating elements, particularly in the area where it connects to the wiper blade adapter, can also be considered.
[0015] Preferably, the wiper assembly is connected to the wiper blade and includes at least one wiper blade adapter. The wiper assembly secures the wiper blade to the wiper blade adapter. The wiper assembly includes, in particular, the elastic rail designed to receive at least one wiper blade deflector. It is possible for the elastic rails, in particular the elastic rail sections, to have at least one PET coating. Preferably, the heating unit includes at least one heating element for heating a fluid channel of the wiper blade, in particular a fluid channel defined by the deflector and the fluid channel defined by the wiper blade adapter.
[0016] The windshield wiper assembly according to the invention has the advantage of comprising a robust heating element, particularly because the intermediate zone is advantageously large. This allows for quick and reliable mounting of the windshield wiper assembly or the wiper blade, especially because the element The heating element has the advantage of covering a large area of both sections of the flexible rail, and it is positioned simultaneously. The assembly cost is significantly reduced. This also simplifies the stabilization of the wiper blade, particularly because it eliminates the need for additional parts. The invention has the advantage of providing consistent heating of the wiper blade.
[0017] According to another feature, the heating element, particularly in its mounted state, is applied to the intermediate area against the wiper blade, specifically against the blade's leading edge. This simplifies the stabilization of the wiper blade, which is held in place by the elastic rail sections. The elastic rail sections are fixed relative to each other in the wiper blade's installed position. This prevents movement between the lateral areas of the heating element on the elastic rail sections. The result is an advantageously stable arrangement of the heating element as part of the installed wiper blade.
[0018] Preferably, the intermediate zone is separated from the elastic rail, in particular from the elastic rail sections. In particular, the intermediate zone, in the installed state of the wiper assembly, is perpendicular to the principal plane of extension of the elastic rail or the heating element, being offset from the lateral zones. In particular, the elastic rail, in particular its elastic rail sections, is designed so that the wiper blade extends, at least partially, particularly via the head portion of the wiper blade, between the two elastic rail sections, and in particular on one side of the elastic rail equipped with the heating element. Preferably, the heating element is applied against the wiper blade, on the surface, in the intermediate zone, particularly on the head portion of the wiper blade, and preferably at least over a large part of the intermediate zone forming the inner surface of the heating element. In particular, the inner surface of the heating element is provided on one of the elastic rails or the side of the heating element facing the wiping blade.
[0019] According to another feature, the wiper assembly comprises at least one connecting zone for attaching to a wiper adapter, the intermediate zone of the heating element along the main longitudinal extension of the elastic rail extending at least practically over the maximum length of the connecting zone. This advantageously provides even heating of the wiper blade and the fluid channels of the wiper adapter. The wiper assembly is attached to the wiper adapter by the connecting zone, and in particular, the wiper adapter is connected to the elastic rail by a clamping or snap-fit connection.
[0020] According to another feature, the intermediate zone extends along the main longitudinal length of the elastic rail, practically covering the entire maximum longitudinal length of the heating element. This advantageously avoids weak points in the heating element along the main longitudinal length of the elastic rail. This prevents accidental damage to the heating element during wiper operation. It also provides the advantage of even heating of the wiper blade along the entire length of the wiper arm.The expression "virtually completely" means that, in particular, a part of a body with respect to a property of the body, a function of the body, or an activity performed by the body—specifically, a part of the maximum longitudinal extension of the heating element—extends over the intermediate zone, the fraction corresponding to at least 95%, preferably at least 98%, and most preferably at least 99% of the whole. It could be envisaged that the intermediate zone extends at least practically completely over the maximum longitudinal extension of the elastic rail, with the exception of the end zones of the elastic rail, which serve, in particular, to attach an end cap to the wiper blade.
[0021] According to another feature, the heating element directly heats the elastic rail sections and, via the intermediate zone, the wiper blade, in particular the tip of the wiper blade. This advantageously allows for even heating of the wiper blade, including the elastic rail and the wiper blade. This results in an advantageously simple embodiment of the heating element, particularly because the heating element is made at least practically entirely as a uniform surface. Preferably, the heating element transmits heat through its intermediate zone applied against the wiper blade, specifically the tip of the wiper blade. The heating element transmits heat to the elastic rail sections via the lateral zones.
[0022] In a particularly preferred manner, at least one heating element forms a conductive path that extends at least zone by zone into the intermediate zone and through the intermediate zone. In particular, the heating element generates heat through the electrical voltage applied by the conductive path. The density of the conductive path in the lateral zones of the heating element corresponds, at least substantially, to the density of the conductive path in the intermediate zone of the heating element. Alternatively, or in addition, the conductive path extends along the maximum longitudinal extent of the heating element, at regular intervals, through the intermediate zone, in particular from lateral zones into another lateral zone.
[0023] According to another feature, the heating element is provided, particularly viewed along the main longitudinal extension of the elastic rail, to surround the elastic rail Specifically, the intermediate zone is designed to clamp the wiper blade, particularly its tip. This allows for a stable and advantageously fixed position of the wiper blade, especially via the elastic rail and the heating element. This provides the advantage of direct heat transfer to both the elastic rail and the wiper blade. In particular, depending on the main longitudinal extension of the elastic rail, the heating element, together with the elastic rail, surrounds the wiper blade, particularly its tip, at least partially, or at least largely, in the intermediate zone. The heating element, in combination with the elastic rail, is designed to clamp the wiper blade, particularly its tip, in the intermediate zone.Preferably, the elastic rail forms at least one receiving recess for the wiping blade between the two elastic rail sections, in particular the head portion of the wiping blade. The elastic rail, in particular the elastic rail sections, are designed to receive the wiping blade by means of a connection through the shape within the receiving recess, and in particular the head portion of the wiping blade applies at least a large part against one side of the elastic rail facing the heating element, against the elastic rail, in particular the elastic rail sections.
[0024] The intermediate zone extends, in particular, in the installed state of the wiper assembly, considered along the main longitudinal extension of the elastic rail, completely over the maximum transverse extension of the receiving recess. Preferably, the intermediate zone, in particular, in the mounted state of the wiper assembly viewed along the main longitudinal extension of the elastic rail, extends at least partially over the maximum transverse extension of the two parts of the elastic rail. Preferably, the two parts of the elastic rail and the heating element are designed so that the head portion of the wiper blade, in particular, in the mounted state of the wiper assembly, viewed along the main longitudinal extension of the elastic rail, extends from the receiving recess at least partially over the main transverse extension of the two parts of the elastic rail.
[0025] In particular, in the assembled state of the wiper assembly and preferably considering the main longitudinal extension of the elastic rail, the two elastic rail sections and the heating element are installed and, in particular, clamped between the elastic rail sections and the intermediate zone of the heating element. Specifically, the elastic rail, and in particular the elastic rail sections, are designed so that the head portion of the wiper blade bears against the outer surfaces of the two elastic rail sections facing the heating element.
[0026] The invention also relates to a windshield wiper comprising a wiping blade and a wiper arm assembly as described above, according to the invention. The windshield wiper comprises the wiper arm. In particular, the wiper arm assembly is made as part of the wiper arm. Preferably, the wiper arm comprises the wiper arm adapter, in particular for attaching the wiper arm to the wiper arm. The wiper arm comprises one, and in particular two, end caps, each to be attached to one of the two end zones of the elastic rail. The end caps prevent relative movement of the elastic rail, the deflector, or the wiper blade in a direction that is at least practically parallel to the main longitudinal extension of the elastic rail or the wiper blade.
[0027] The windshield wiper assembly according to the invention advantageously results in a robust construction, particularly of the wiper blade. The invention allows for quick and secure mounting of the wiper blade, notably because the heating element is advantageously applied over a large surface area on both sections of the elastic rail simultaneously. This translates into the advantage of reduced assembly costs. The wiper blade is also advantageously stabilized in a simple manner, particularly by avoiding the need for additional parts. The invention advantageously provides uniform heating of the wiper blade. Brief description of the drawings

The heating element 46 includes an intermediate zone along the main longitudinal extension 40 of the elastic rail 38; in this intermediate zone, the heating element 36, particularly in the installed state shown in [Fig. 3], extends along the main longitudinal extension 40 of the elastic rail 38 (see also [Fig. 4]) from one of the two elastic rail sections 50 to another of the two elastic rail sections 50.
[0038] The heating element 46 has two lateral zones 52 by which the heating element 46 is mounted on the two sections of elastic rail 48. The heating element 46 is preferably formed from the intermediate zone 50 and the two lateral zones 52. The heating element 46 is connected, in particular, by the two lateral zones 52, by an adhesive bond to the elastic rail 48, in particular to the two sections of elastic rail 48. The heating element 46 is fixed, in particular, by the two lateral zones 52 to the elastic rail 38, in particular to the two sections of elastic rail 48. The intermediate zone of the heating element 46 extends from an end zone 42 of the elastic rail 38 provided for the attachment of one of the end caps 34 along the main longitudinal extension 40 of the elastic rail 38 to the other end zone 42 of the elastic rail 38 used to attach one of the caps. end 34.
