Abstract
Description
Title of the invention: Closing element
[0001] The subject matter of the invention is a fencing element having an end profile that facilitates installation of the fencing element and allows for the attachment of accessory parts. The end profile of the fencing element is formed from vertical tubes that have a substantially rectangular cross-section and are spaced apart from each other forming gaps. The gap has been locally widened in two or more places with transverse, non-penetrating stamped cutouts made on the walls of the vertical tubes, located opposite each other at the same height at the end profile and extending through the end profile in the lengthwise direction of the fence, forming a crossing point for fastening means.
[0002] Livestock enclosure fences are generally constructed from fence elements that can be combined to form an assembly suitable for the installation location. The fence elements are fixed to each other or to fixed structures, such as a stable wall or a post. For fixing, the fence elements are generally mounted with fixed fixing means, such as fixing loops and pins fixed by welding or adjustment slats fixed inside the frame tubes.
[0003] Traditionally, before installing the fence, the entire fence must be planned precisely, because the connectability of the elements is limited to the standard dimensions of the fence elements and the connectability of the fixing means integrated into them.
[0004] A prerequisite for the installation of such a fencing system is that the height differences of the installation platform, the location of the gates and other features are taken into account in advance. The locations of any functional parts must also be taken into account, as these may require a different fastening system.
[0005] The aim of the invention is to propose a solution of fencing elements adaptable to the environment of the on-site installation and easily modifiable.
[0006] The above advantages are achieved through the features of the present invention and its preferred embodiments.
[0007] In the following, the invention will be explained in more detail with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which:
[0008] [Fig. 1] shows a fence element with horizontal tubes having an end profile of the fence element according to the invention. In the figure, eye screws are fixed to the stamped cutouts at one end of the fence element to illustrate the function of the stamped cutouts. The area marked by dotted lines is a enlargement of the end profile at the stamped cutouts, i.e. at the point where the end profile crosses.
[0009] [Fig.2] shows a fence element with vertical tubes, having an end profile of the fence element according to the invention.
[0010] [Fig.3a] shows a plywood fence frame with a plywood board mounted thereon and a lock attached to the end profile.
[0011] [Fig.3b] shows the second end profile of the plywood fence frame and, in the middle of it, a tension fixing solution for a plywood board.
[0012] [Fig.4] shows a horizontal tube fence element, in which the end profile is connected to the horizontal tubes by means of bolted connections.
[0013] The fencing element 1 comprises at least two horizontal tubes 2 and, at its two ends, two parallel vertical tubes 4a, 4b, forming the end profile 3, between which the horizontal tubes 2 are fixed. The vertical tubes 4a, 4b forming the end profile 3 of the fencing element 1 are of substantially rectangular cross-section and spaced apart from each other forming a gap 5. The gap 5 between the vertical tubes 4a, 4b has been locally widened in two or more places with non-penetrating transverse stamped cutouts 6a, 6b made on the walls of the vertical tubes 4a, 4b, said cutouts being located opposite each other at the same height in the end profile 3 and extending through the end profile 3 in the transverse direction, forming a point of crossing 6 for a fixing device. The fastening device may be a screw-type fastening device, such as a threaded eye screw, screw or bolt, which is secured to the fence member by a nut fastener.
[0014] In a preferred embodiment, the stamped cutouts 6a, 6b, made on the walls of the vertical tubes 4a, 4b forming the end profile 3, have a cross-section having essentially the shape of a segment of a circle. The ratio between the diameter of the crossing point 6 formed by the two stamped cutouts 6a, 6b located opposite each other and the width of the gap 5 is approximately 1.6:1 to 2.2:1. In a particularly preferred manner, the diameter of the crossing point 6 is 25 mm and the width of the gap is 14 mm. Therefore, a fastening means having a diameter of approximately 24 mm, such as a threaded eye screw, a screw or a bolt, will be able to be inserted into the crossing point. The stamped cut-out 6a, 6b must be deep enough to allow the fixing means to be connected thereto to support the weight of the fence element against the edges of the stamped cut-outs.
[0015] The fence element 1 preferably comprises threaded eye screws 7 fixed at least by the crossing points of one of the end profiles 3. The threaded eye screws 7 thus function as a hinge fixing for the fence element, or is part of a fastener with rod and eye.
[0016] In addition to the stamped cutouts 6a, 6b, the fence has at both ends a straight gap of the same width 5, to which any accessories can be fixed with continuous height adjustment at the gap of the end profile.
[0017] In a preferred embodiment, the fence element is part of a livestock enclosure fence.
[0018] The fence elements can be horizontal tube fence elements, vertical tube fence elements or plywood fence frames. Preferably, the horizontal tube fence elements are telescopic, thus their length is adjustable. At both ends of the vertical tube fence, between the end profile 3 and the adjacent vertical tube, there is a flat steel bar 8 which supports the end profile and which the animal keeper can use in an emergency as a step to quickly exit the enclosure due to an animal with threatening behavior. In a plywood fence frame, the plywood is fixed by pressing the walls on the side of the gap of the vertical tubes of the end profile of the fence element 1 against the plywood.
[0019] The end profile 3 of the fence element 1 is formed from two adjacent, essentially parallel furnishing tubes 4a, 4b of rectangular cross-section, i.e. rectangular tubes, and spaced apart from each other. The rectangular tubes 4a, 4b may be fixed by welding to the ends of the horizontal tubes 2 to form the end profile 3, for example using fixing pins. Alternatively, the end profile may be fixed by bolting to the horizontal tubes. This type of fixing may be achieved by cutting a hole corresponding to the shape of the horizontal tubes in the vertical tubes of the end profile, to which the horizontal tubes are fixed by pressing the vertical tubes of the end profile together by bolted joints. The fence element shown in [Fig.4] is an example of this type of structure.
[0020] The gap 5 between the rectangular tubes 4a, 4b is preferably about 12, 14 or 16 mm, thus allowing a screw of 10, 12 or 14 mm respectively to pass through the gap 5 in order to fix additional parts, such as locks, continuously to the end profile 5 of the fence element 1. When the fence element 1 is a plywood fence frame, the end profile 3 can be used to fix the plywood board. In such a solution, the ends of the plywood board are inserted between the vertical tubes 4a, 4b of the end profile 3 of the fence element 1, and the board is immobilized by pressing together the tubes 4a, 4b of the end profile 3 by means of, for example, a combination of fixing screws and a washer. As above, for example, a 14mm gap can accommodate a 12mm plywood board mm, which is immobilized using clamp fasteners.
[0021] By using rectangular section tubes in the end profile of the fence element 1, good torsional rigidity of the fence element 1 is obtained, also allowing the largest possible bearing surface at the point where the fixing means pass through. The advantage of such a fence element 1 is high endurance in relation to the weight of the fence element 1.
[0022] A stamped cutout 6a, 6b is formed on the edges towards the gap 5 between the parallel rectangular tubes 4a, 4b, allowing a fastening device wider than the gap 5 to pass through. The stamped cutouts 6a, 6b, i.e. the grooves made in the furniture tubes 4a, 4b, thus function as a passage for the fastening means and preferably have a smooth surface. The grooves have been formed in the furniture tubes perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the furniture tube 4a, 4b. In the end profile 3, the stamped cutouts 6a, 6b of the furniture tube 4a, 4b are placed opposite each other. Preferably, the stamped cutouts 6a, 6b are in the shape of a segment of a circle, allowing a screw-type fastening device, such as a fastening bolt or a threaded eye screw, to be inserted through the two opposing segments. At the stamped cutouts 6a, 6b of the end profile 3 of a fence element 1, threaded eye bolts 7 passed through can simultaneously serve as a hinge attachment for a pivoting fence element 1. Two adjacent fence elements 1 equipped with eye bolts 7 can also be firmly connected to each other by means of a locking element passing through the eyelets. In the simplest form, two adjacent fence elements 1 can be connected to each other by the stamped cutouts 6a, 6b with a bolt and nut fastening. Correspondingly, other functional accessories or fastening means can be inserted through the stamped cutouts 6a, 6b of a fence element 1.The stamped cutouts 6a, 6b located in the end profile 3 of a fence element 1 thus allow a versatile use of the fence elements 1, since these can be connected to each other and fixedly or hingedly fastened. Other accessory parts can also be attached to the fastening means and inserted through the end profile 3 of two fence elements 1, leaving between the fence elements 1 a gap necessary for fastening the accessory part. Thus, functional accessory parts or a support system belonging to the accessory part can be fastened between the fence elements 1. The accessory parts can alternatively be fastened by hooking the accessory part or a required support system directly onto a fastening means connecting the fence elements 1.The stamped cutouts 6a, 6b of the end profile 3 of the fence element 1 prevent a fixing device passing through it and being wider than the gap 5 between the rectangular tubes. gulars 4a, 4b does not move in the vertical direction of the end profile 3, i.e. in the longitudinal direction of the rectangular tubes 4a, 4b forming the gap 5 of the end profile 3. The stamped cutout 6a, 6b of the end profile 3 can also be used to attach functional fence parts, such as cup openings, arched gates or access gates. The torsional rigidity of the fence can be further improved by adding reinforcements that extend over the fence element to these accessory parts, especially at the crossing points 6, i.e. the stamped cutouts 6a, 6b.
[0023] The fence elements 1 according to the invention are ideally suited for use with accessory parts that can be fixed with bolts. Advantageously, both ends of the fence element 1 are identical in their end profiles 3, which allows similar fence elements 1 to be freely combined and used at different sections of the fence by changing the functional parts connected thereto. Since there are no fixedly attached fastening devices in the fence elements, the ends of two adjacent elements can be securely connected to each other.
[0024] Preferably, the two furnishing tubes at both ends of the fence element have two stamped cutouts 6a, 6b located opposite each other in the end profile. The crossing point 6 formed by the stamped cutouts 6a, 6b is preferably located closer to the end of the end profile 3 than to its center, so that the fixing devices support the weight of the fence element from its corner areas. The distance between the crossing points 6 is freely selectable depending on the height of the fence element and can be, for example, 70 to 90 cm, or on the lower parts of the fence, for example, 30 to 50 cm, without being limited to these figures. There may also be several stamped cutouts 6a, 6b, for example 2 to 6 in number in each rectangular tube 4a, 4b arranged two by two in the direction of the height of the end profile, either regularly spaced from each other or grouped together. The end profile 3 of the fence element may, for example, have two through points 6 formed by stamped cutouts 6a, 6b each of which is placed at the same distance from the end of the end profile 3, and one or two through points 6 placed between them, either symmetrically or asymmetrically. In a preferred embodiment, the end profile 3 of the fence element 1 has two through points 6 formed by stamped cutouts 6a, 6b and arranged asymmetrically in the direction of the height of the end profile 3, one through point 6 being located closer than the other to the end of the end profile 3. This has the advantage that by rotating the fence element, the fence element can be fixed at a different height than the adjacent, oppositely rotated fence element when both are fixed. to the same support on a post. As a result, two different height positions are achieved for the fence element by using the crossing points. Thus, alternative fixing points can be arranged on the fence element 1, if it is necessary to fix one element higher than the other. The same advantage can be achieved with three crossings. If two crossings are arranged symmetrically in the end profile 3 at the same distance from the center of the end profile, they will always face each other when the fence elements are installed next to each other on a flat surface. Thanks to the third crossing arranged asymmetrically to the center, it is possible to fix the fence element higher or lower than the upper or lower edge of the adjacent fence element.
[0025] Thanks to the stamped cutouts 6a, 6b and the gap 5 of the end profile 3, it is also possible to fix fence elements of different sizes to each other, or, for example, an accessory part forming a cup opening. The gap 5 of the end profile 3 allows the fixing of accessories with continuous height adjustment with fixing screws penetrating into the gap of the end profile. Thus, the fence element according to the invention can also be used as a gate solution by connecting hinge elements, such as threaded eye screws, to the crossing points 6 of the other end and by connecting a lock to the vertical gap 5 of the opposite end of the fence element. The vertical gap in the end profile 3 also allows the fence elements to be connected to each other by a bolt-and-nut fastening and, as a result, for example, the height of the additional piece can thus be continuously adjusted. The continuous fastening enabled by the gap 5 in the end profile 3 is an important function, especially in a situation where the installation level of the fence is uneven. For example, in nature or in a barn, where the ground is at different heights in places, it is thus possible to connect two fence elements 1 to each other by means of the gap 5 in the end profile 3, which can be directly bolted with a nut or by using a lock 9 which can be fixed to the gap 5, as in [Fig. 3a].A fence element 1, equipped with locks at two different heights, provides the rigidity necessary for use, while also allowing the fence to be opened, for example to introduce work machines into the enclosure. Alternatively, the accessory or the fence element 1 may have several stamped cutouts 6a, 6b, these being able to be connected in stages to the stamped cutouts 6a, 6b of the end profile 3 of a fence element 1. The ends of the end profiles are most often protected by plastic caps.
