Description

Title of the invention: Set of combined and cooperating clamping tools of the clamp type

[0001] The present invention consists of a set of clamping tools composed of a combination of two clamp-type clamping tool structures designed to cooperate in pairs of identical or similar tools for positioning and blocking objects or materials in different orientations, vertical, horizontal or oblique according to the inclination chosen to be adjusted while being well stabilized.

[0002] In the field of tools there are many different tools for holding objects or materials to adjust them but in practice the operator is often forced to carry out multiple manipulations due to not having the most appropriate tool available for the work to be carried out, especially when he is forced to work on materials of different lengths and in different orientations such as oblique, vertical or curved positions.

[0003] The present invention is designed to better meet the requirements for positioning and locking materials through the diversity of possible uses, including in particular for the positioning of long materials and vertical and oblique or curved positioning of the materials to be adjusted. Horizontal positioning and locking is also possible, in particular by using for this purpose the conventional state-of-the-art clamp of each lower clamping structure (4) which serves as a support point for each clamping structure in the upper part (1).

[0004] This state-of-the-art clamp has the specific feature of having a fixed jaw (3) whose bearing surface (29) is flat over its entire length and which extends beyond the location of the bearing point of the vice screw (22) of the clamping arm (23) which faces to provide better stability when tightening said vice screw (22).

[0005] Each upper clamping structure (1) of the clamp type is composed of a clamping arm (2) fixedly connected to the upper part of the fixed jaw (3) of the lower clamp (4) serving as a fixed support point for this upper clamping structure (1). This fixed upper clamping arm (2) is connected by being oriented vertically and in such a way that the sheath (5) for fitting the sliding rail (6) comprising at the end a fixed jaw (7), is also oriented parallel in the direction of the fixed jaw (3) serving as a support point by being connected to the latter above the end (8) of its sliding rail (9) or near the middle of the length of the fixed jaw (3). Likewise, the clamping vice screw (10) integrated in the upper part of said clamping arm (2) is also oriented parallel in this direction.

[0006] In the design of each clamp-type clamping tool structure combined it is the clamping arm (2) comprising the vice screw (10) which is fixed unlike the clamps of the state of the art. And it is the notched sliding rail (6) comprising a fixed jaw (7) at its end and oriented perpendicularly or obliquely in its alignment which is the movable element adjustable according to the length of the notched sliding rail (6) with adjustable stop (6') to limit the sliding of the sliding rail according to the spacing chosen between the guide sleeve (5) of the clamping arm (2) and the fixed locking jaw (7).

[0007] And to allow the positioning and blocking of inclined materials such as boards or panels, this said clamp-type clamping tool comprises a high support point (11) serving as a rounded angle stop (12) which is the high end of the fixed jaw (7) sealed at the end of the sliding rail (6) fitted into the guide sleeve (5) of the sliding rail (6). This said high support point (11) is the point forming the high stop (12) against which a material placed in an oblique plane bears, the low support point (13) of the material placed in an oblique plane consists of the base part (13) of the fixed clamping arm (2) against which the base end of the placed material abuts by bearing there as well as on the high part (14) of the notched sliding rail (6) on which the said material rests. The positioned material is stabilized by the pressure exerted on it by means of the clamping screw (10) and by means of its rotating stop plate (15) provided with a cylindrical accessory element (26) fixed by screw (28) to allow linear support from a point of its circumference on a material placed in an oblique position and also to allow support to be created by a point of its circumference on a square or curved material such as a hoop placed horizontally and to be adjusted and held at the ends by each structure (1) of the set of clamping tools. For this purpose the cylindrical accessory element (26) fitted on the rotating plate (15) is oriented vertically, by pivoting 90 degrees relative to the horizontal position used for oblique positioning of an object material.

[0008] An accessory element consisting of a cylindrical sheath (27) is added to each clamping tool structure (1) to fit onto the vertical jaw (7) to thereby create non-angular support when positioning a curved object or material such as a hoop to be held by each clamping structure (1) of the clamping tool set. A sliding stop (18) designed by a rectangularly perforated plate (16) is fitted onto the sliding rail (6) with a suitable clearance to allow it to slide easily onto the sliding rail (6) and so as to be able to take an oblique position there, its upper part (17) is bent to form a stop (18) applied against the positioned material, against which this stop (18) is pressed, (see [Fig.l]) Thus by applying pressure on the material placed by the vice screw (10) the placed material is stabilized by blocking due to the fact that the perforated plate (16) in an oblique position is locked by gripping the notched sides (19) of the sliding rail (6) and thus depending on the chosen fit of the sliding rail (6) in the guide sleeve (5) and the sliding of the angled perforated plate (16), the inclination of the placed material varies according to the chosen inclination and the material is locked by turning the clamping handle (10'). Similarly, by removing this said plate (16), the material can be placed vertically against the vertical fixed jaw (7) and by pushing this fixed jaw (7) with the material placed against the stop plate (15) of the vice screw (10), the latter blocks the assembly during its tightening by the pressure of the vice screw (10) by turning the clamping handle (10') thereof. To prevent the sliding rail (6) from coming loose during the stabilizing pressure exerted on the material placed by the clamping screw (10), a sliding-adjustable stop (6') is fitted onto the sliding rail (6) behind the clamping arm (2) against which this stop (6') locked by screw (30) bears to limit the sliding of the sliding rail (6) according to the spacing required between the fixed locking jaw (7) and the clamping plate (15) at the end of the clamping screw (10) to position a material according to its thickness.

[0009] In order to avoid possible vibrations of said clamping tools (1) and of the positioned and blocked material during adjustment work on this placed material, a clamping screw (20) can be placed in a perforation (21) made in the threaded sleeve in which rotates the clamping vice screw (22) of the clamping arm (23) of the lower clamp (4) serving as a support point for the upper clamping structure (1), this clamping screw (20) (see [Fig.2]) creates a blocking support on the clamping vice screw (22) after the latter has been previously blocked on a stable support such as a workbench or other fixed support.Likewise, a clamping screw (24) can be placed in a perforation (25) of the guide sleeve (5) of the clamping arm (2) of the upper clamping structure to laterally block the sliding rail (6) after its positioning adjustment and its blocking by means of the clamping vice screw (10) exerted on the placed material which presses on the fixed jaw (7) by stabilizing it, thus during the lateral tightening of this clamping screw (24) the play of the guide sleeve (5) can be eliminated to avoid any possible vibrations of the clamping structures during the adjustment of a placed material.

[0010] To avoid adjustment manipulations in order to be able to position materials at a determined angle of inclination, the sliding rail (6) of the upper clamping structure (1) comprising a fixed clamping jaw (7) can be interchangeable to be replaced by a sliding rail (6) with an oblique fixed jaw (7) of a determined angle of inclination oriented in the extension of said rail (6) such as 135 degrees or other angle relative to the sliding rail (6) including also at an acute angle.

[0011] The present invention can be carried out industrially according to the methods well-known techniques for making different state-of-the-art clamps as well as the metallic materials used such as suitable steel and aluminum and other components such as plastics or wood are also well-known for making industrial manufacturing.

[0012] [Fig.l] shows a combined clamp-type clamping tool element of the clamping tool set according to the invention with the material to be adjusted placed in an oblique plane without the cooperating tool being visible. And a variant of fixed jaw (7) with an open inclination angle, i.e. beyond 90 degrees fixed at the end of the sliding rail (6) is also shown.

[0013] [Fig. 2] shows a side view of an element of the combined clamping tool set according to the invention, in a pre-set position for positioning and locking in a vertical position a flat surface material. And two accessory elements of cylindrical shape (26) and (27) are also shown on the same sheet.

[0014] In the drawings of [Fig.l] and 2 only the elements specifically mentioned in the description are numbered.

[0015] The drawing of the abstract corresponds to [Fig.2].
