Description

Title of the invention: CONTAINER DOOR FOR SEALED TRANSFER SYSTEM technical field

[0001] The invention relates to the sealed transfer of objects from a sealed container to a cell, with a double-door connection system. PREVIOUS STATE OF THE ART

[0002] In various industrial sectors, tasks are carried out in a confined atmosphere, for example to protect the environment from radioactivity or toxicity, or to carry out these tasks in an aseptic atmosphere.

[0003] The transfer of objects from a container to a cell, without breaking the seal, is ensured with a double-door connection device, known for example from documents FR2695343 and US8950624.

[0004] Such a device can be used for the packaging of medicines: a filling line is then installed in the cell, and small objects such as bottle caps are transferred into the cell to supply this line.

[0005] The cell is equipped with a flange which is closed on the inside by a cell door mounted on a hinge equipping this flange, and the container is for example a bag whose mouth is provided with another flange equipped with a container door.

[0006] The container door conventionally comprises a cylindrical body with a main axis provided with a central cylindrical housing defined by a circumferential wall. Internal tabs project radially inward to form a bayonet connection.

[0007] The connection consists of engaging the container flange with that of the cell and rotating it on itself, which has the effect of:

[0008] - to join the two flanges together by engaging a first connection at bayonet called bridle-bridle connection;

[0009] - to secure the two doors together by engaging a second connection to bayonet, also known as door-to-door link, via the inner ears;

[0010] - detach the container door from its flange by disengaging a third bayonet fitting, also known as flange-door fitting.

[0011] After connection, the cell door is pivoted inwards to open it: the container door being then rigidly attached to that of the cell by the door-to-door connection, it is taken with the cell door to extract it from the container flange.

[0012] When the objects have been transferred, the cell door can then be slammed shut against this opening with the container door it carries.

[0013] The container is then rotated on itself in the opposite direction, which has the effect of:

[0014] - to secure the container door to the container flange;

[0015] - detach the container door from the cell door;

[0016] - detach the container flange from the cell flange.

[0017] In such a device, pivoting the container with its flange relative to the cell flange, to couple and uncouple them, requires significant effort from the operator. This operation necessitates rotating the container through a large angular range against the friction and actuation forces of the various bayonet connections and their respective seals. Such repeated stress can cause operator fatigue, presenting a risk of musculoskeletal disorders.

[0018] The object of the invention is to provide a solution to remedy this drawback. Description of the invention

[0019] To this end, a container door is provided comprising a cylindrical body about a principal axis of revolution, the body also defining a blind cylindrical housing about the principal axis and open on its front face, the housing comprising a radially projecting wall from which a set of internal lugs are provided to form an internal bayonet connection. According to the invention, the door also comprises a plate mounted for rotation about the principal axis relative to the body, the plate comprising, in radial projection from its periphery, a set of external lugs provided to form an external bayonet connection, the door being equipped with a coupling device for rotation with the plate which is accessible from the front face.

[0020] According to other specific, non-exclusive and optional embodiments of the invention:

[0021] - the coupling device includes a footprint intended to cooperate with a homologous profile to transmit a rotational torque around the main axis.

[0022] - the imprint includes a quadrilateral pattern;

[0023] - the door includes a locking device that rotates around the main axis of the plate relative to the cylindrical body;

[0024] - the locking device comprises a slidingly mounted pin in a housing of the cylindrical body and one end of which is stepped and engaged in a light of the coupling device;

[0025] - the coupling device includes at least one stop extending into a throat delimited at least in part by a bottom of the housing, the wall of the housing and at least one inner ear of the set of inner ears;

[0026] - the coupling device comprises four stops extending into the groove and which are attached to an arm extending diametrically into the housing;

[0027] - the door includes means for returning the tray to the body;

[0028] - the means of return include an elastic element;

[0029] - the external ears include means for locking the connection to external bayonet;

[0030] - the locking means include axially recessed notches and / or pro axially projecting tubercles.

[0031] - the body includes a device for locking the body against rotation about the axis main ;

[0032] - the locking device includes a tab projecting radially from the body;

[0033] The invention also relates to a cell door arranged to collaborate with the rotational coupling device of a door as described above.

[0034] Other features and advantages of the invention will become apparent from the following description of a particular, non-limiting embodiment of the invention. Brief description of the drawings

[0048] With reference to Figures 1 to 3, a cell partition 1 is equipped with a cell flange 2 into which a container flange 3 is engaged, the latter having a container door 30, by means of a first bayonet connection defined by a first set of four cell flange 2 lugs (not shown) and a first set of four container flange 3 lugs (3.1 to 3.4) visible in [Fig. 3]. The container itself (not shown) extends beyond the flange 3, outside the cell, and may be a soft bag or a rigid case.

[0049] This cell flange 2 has an inner face 4 turned towards the inside of the cell it equips, and an outer face 7 turned towards the outside of the cell it equips and to which the container flange 3 is coupled.

[0050] The cell flange 2 is provided on the inner side of the cell with a hinge 14 on which a cell door 15 is mounted, as seen in Figures 1 and 2. This cell door 15 has an outer face 8 facing outwards from the cell 2. The door 15 itself is connected to the hinge 14 by means of an arm 16 having one end rigidly fixed to a rotating element of the hinge 14 and a body fixed to the door 15. The door 15 includes a locking block equipped with a cam 21, or groove, which projects radially on the side opposite the hinge 14. The door 15 also includes a first square parallelepiped recess 17 which is set back from the face 8 of the door 15. The door 15 includes four external tabs 15.1 to 15.4 of the cell door 15 which are radial projection of the door 15 towards the main axis AX.

[0051] The cell door 15 opens inwards to free the central opening 18 of the flange 2, as in the configuration of [Fig. 2]. This door 15 can also be folded down over the opening 18 to close it, which corresponds to the configuration of [Fig. 1]. As can be seen in Figures 1 and 2, the hinge 14 extends along an axis AY which is parallel to the partition 1 and which is here oriented vertically.

[0052] The cell flange 2 is equipped with a locking device comprising a rotary lock 19 for selectively cooperating with the cam 21.

[0053] The rotary lock 19 is located opposite the hinge 14, and it protrudes from the inner face 4 by being able to pivot around an axis parallel to the axis AX, this lock 19 having a finger 22 extending parallel to the face 4 and which is able to cooperate with the cam 21.

[0054] When the door 15 is folded down, the cam 21 is positioned opposite the lock 19, of pivoting the lock 19 around its axis allows its finger 22 to engage in this cam 21, thus locking the door. Rotating the lock 19 in the opposite direction disengages its finger 22, releasing the cam 21 and allowing the door 15 to open and the opening 18 to be released.

[0055] As shown in [Fig. 3], the container flange 3 is annular in shape and includes a cylindrical inner face 5 that defines an internal passage 6. The internal passage 6 has four internal tabs 10 to 13 evenly distributed around a central principal axis AX of the flange 3 and extending radially towards the axis AX. The internal tabs 10 to 13 extend over angular sectors, centered on the axis AX, of thirty degrees. As shown in [Fig. 3], the face of the tab 10 that faces the internal passage 6 includes a notch 10.1 in the shape of a truncated pyramid and that is recessed from said face. The internal tabs 11, 12, and 13 include similar notches 11.1, 12.1, and 13.1, respectively.

[0056] As seen in [Fig.3], the container door 30 comprises a cylindrical body 31 of revolution about the axis AX. The body 31 also defines a blind cylindrical housing 32 with axis AX and which is open in the front face 33 of the body 31. The housing 32 is delimited by a bottom 32.1 and by a radially projecting wall 34 from which come a set of four internal lugs 35, 36, 37 and 38 adapted to form an internal bayonet connection with the external lugs 15.1 to 15.4 of the cell door 15.

[0057] The door 30 also includes a plate 40 mounted for rotation about the axis AX relative to the body 31 and extending opposite a rear face 33.1 of the body 31, opposite the front face 33. To this end, the plate 40 includes an axial cylindrical protrusion 41 which is received in a central cylindrical bearing 39 of the body 31. A screw 42, which extends through the protrusion 41 and the bearing 39, rotationally links the plate 40 and a cap 43 located on the side of the front face 33 of the body 31. The cap 43 is provided at its apex with a second square parallelepiped recess 44 which projects from an upper face 45 of the cap 43. The second recess 44 is complementary to the first recess 17. A first helical spring 46 is interposed between the body 31 and the cap 43 returns the plate 40 towards the body 31. A seal 59 at the bearing 39 ensures the seal between the body 31 and the plate 40.

[0058] The plate 40 includes, projecting radially from its periphery 47, a set of four external lugs 48, 49, 50, and 51 adapted to form an external bayonet connection with the internal lugs 10 to 13. As can be seen in [Fig. 3], the face of the lug 48 that faces the body 31 includes a truncated pyramid-shaped stud 48.1 that projects axially from said face. The lugs 49, 50, and 51 include similar studs 49.1, 50.1, and 51.1, respectively.

[0059] The body 31 comprises four external retaining lugs 55 to 58 regularly distributed in radial projection from the body 31 around the axis AX. Two of these external retaining lugs 56 and 57 are visible in [Fig. 3]. The external retaining tabs 55 to 58 extend radially from the outer circular circumference of the body 31 so that each can engage between two adjacent internal tabs 10 to 13 of the flange 3, against which they bear, as in the configuration of [Fig. 4]. The retaining tabs 55 to 58 thus prevent rotation about the axis AX of the body 31 relative to the container flange 3.

[0060] With reference to Figures 5 to 7, the connection of the container flange 3 to the cell consists of engaging the ears 3.1 to 3.4 of the container flange 3 in the cell flange 2 (Figures 5 and 6), and then rotating the container flange 3 around the axis AX, for example by means of two gripping handles not shown ([Fig.7]). During the approach operation of the container flange 3 to the cell flange 2 ([Fig. 5]), the second indentation 44 of the cap 43 is received in the first indentation 17 of the cell door 15, which rotationally couples the cell door 15 and the tray 40. When the container flange 3 is inserted into the cell flange 2, the bearing force exerted by the door 15 on the cap 43 against the first spring 46 causes a translation of the tray 40 relative to the body 31 in a direction parallel to the axis AX. The pins 48.1, 49.1, 50.1, and 51.1 are respectively disengaged from the notches 10.1, 11.1, 12.1, and 13.1 and the body 31 is then free to rotate relative to the plate 40 ([Fig.6]). .

[0061] A rotational movement is then applied to the container flange 3 (here a rotation of sixty degrees clockwise as shown in [Fig.6]), and during this rotational movement the following steps take place:

[0062] - the first bayonet joint, also called bridle-bridle joint and not visible In the figures, it engages to secure the container flange 3 to the cell flange 2 ([Fig.7]). This first bayonet connection thus constitutes a means of coupling the two flanges;

[0063] - the external tabs 15.1 to 15.4 of the cell door 15 cooperate with the ears internal 35 to 38 of the container door 30 to engage the internal bayonet joint, also called the door-to-door joint and not visible in the figures. The internal bayonet joint secures the container door 30 to the cell door 15. This second bayonet joint thus constitutes a means of securing and disconnecting the container door and the cell door;

[0064] - the second imprint 44 engaged in the first imprint 17 immobilizes a rotation around the AX axis of the tray 40 relative to the cell door 15. The stop tabs 55 to 58, in contact with the internal tabs 10 to 13, prevent rotation around the AX axis of the body 31 relative to the container flange 3. Thus, during the rotation of the container flange 3 around the AX axis, the tray 40 remains fixed relative to the cell flange 2, and the body 31 undergoes a rotation. tively to plate 40, which has the effect of bringing the stop lugs 55 to 58 opposite the ears 48 to 51 and disengaging the external bayonet connection, also called the flange-door connection. The container door 30 is then detached from the container flange 3.

[0065] Once the coupling operation of the container door 30 with the cell door 15 is completed, the opening of the cell door 15 allows the central opening 18 to be released, taking the container door 30 with it, which corresponds to the situation in [Fig.2].

[0066] Similarly, once the transfer has been completed, the cell door 15 is folded down before the lock 19 is actuated to secure it in its closed position. The operator then pivots the container 3 in the opposite direction to engage the external bayonet connection of the platform 40 on the container 3 in order to secure the container door 30 to the container flange 3, disengage the internal bayonet connection in order to detach the container door 30 from the cell door 15, and to disengage the connection between the cell flange 2 and the container flange 3 in order to release the latter.

[0067] This results in a container whose particular arrangement of the door 30 allows a considerable reduction in the overall effort to be applied by an operator to overcome the friction induced by the bayonet connections by drastically reducing the friction induced by the disengagement of the door 30 from the container flange 3.

[0068] The identical or analogous elements to those previously described shall bear a numerical reference identical to that in the following description of a second and a third embodiment of the invention.

[0069] According to a second embodiment of the invention shown in figures 8 and 9, the container door 30 includes a locking device 60 for rotation about the main axis (AX) of the platform 40 relative to the cylindrical body 31.

[0070] The locking device 60 comprises a pin 61 slidably mounted in a housing 62 of the cylindrical body 31. The pin 61 is cylindrical in shape and comprises a lower portion 63, the free end of which is engaged in the housing 62 and on which a second spring 64 applies a force tending to disengage the pin 61 from the housing 62. The upper portion 65 of the pin 61 is stepped and comprises a first section 66 with a diameter substantially equal to that of the housing 62. The section 66 is surmounted by a second section 67 with a diameter substantially smaller than the diameter of the section 66.

[0071] The cap 43 is provided with a light 68 centered on the axis AX and describing an angular sector of thirty degrees around the axis AX. The light 68 comprises a first end 68.1 and a second end 68.2. The first end 68.1 comprises a cylindrical recess 69 arranged to receive the section 66.

[0072] In the absence of a connection with a cell door 15, the pin 61 is pushed back by the spring 64 and the section 66 is engaged in the recess 69. The section 66 engaged in the recess 69 blocks a rotation of the tray 40 relative to the body 31 and the container door 3 is locked onto the container flange by the external bayonet connection, also called the flange-door connection.

[0073] During the approach operation of the container flange 3 and the cell flange 2, the second recess 44 of the cap 43 is received in the first recess 17 of the cell door 15. The pin 61 is then pushed by the first recess 17 into the housing 62 against the effect of the spring 64, and the section 66 is pushed out of the recess 69. The cell door 15 and the tray 40 are then rotationally coupled. A rotational movement is then applied to the container flange 3 (here a rotation of sixty degrees clockwise as shown in [Fig. 9]), and during this rotational movement the following steps take place:

[0074] - the first bayonet joint, also called bridle-to-bridle joint and not visible in the figures, it engages to secure the container flange 3 to the cell flange 2 via the lugs 3.1 to 3.4. This first bayonet connection thus constitutes a means of coupling the two flanges;

[0075] - the external tabs 15.1 to 15.4 of the cell door 15 cooperate with the ears internal 35 to 38 of the container door 30 to engage the internal bayonet joint, also called the door-to-door joint and not visible in the figures. The internal bayonet joint secures the container door 30 to the cell door 15. This second bayonet joint thus constitutes a means of securing and disconnecting the container door and the cell door;

[0076] - After a rotation of thirty degrees, the pin 61 comes to rest against the end 68.2 of the light 68. Thus, as the container flange 3 continues to rotate around the AX axis, the tray 40 remains fixed relative to the cell flange 2, and the body 31 rotates relative to the tray 40. This causes the stop tabs 55 to 58 to align with the lugs 48 to 51 and disengages the external bayonet connection, also known as the flange-door connection. The container door 30 is then detached from the container flange 3.

[0077] Once the coupling operation of the container door 30 with the cell door 15 is completed, the opening of the cell door 15 allows the central opening 18 to be released, taking the container door 30 with it, which corresponds to the situation in [Fig.2].

[0078] Similarly, once the transfer has been completed, the cell door 15 is folded down before the lock 19 is actuated to secure it in the closed position. The operator then pivots the container 3 in the opposite direction to engage the external bayonet connection of the platform 40 onto the container 3 in order to secure the container door 30 to the container flange 3, disengage the internal bayonet link in order to separate the container door 30 from the cell door 15, and to disengage the link between the cell flange 2 and the container flange 3 in order to release the latter.

[0079] According to a third embodiment of the invention shown in Figures 11 and 12, the coupling device 70 comprises a diametrical arm 71 fixed in rotation to the plate 40 via the screw 42. The arm 71 comprises a first axially projecting end 72 from which a first stop 73 and a second stop 74 are mounted. The stop 73 extends into a first groove 80 delimited by the bottom 32.1 of the housing 32, the wall 34, and the lug 38. The stop 74 extends into a second groove 81 delimited by the bottom 32.1 of the housing 32, the wall 34, and the lug 37. The arm 71 comprises a second axially projecting end 75 diametrically opposite the end 72, from which a third stop 76 and a fourth stop 77 are mounted. The Stop 76 extends into a third groove 83 delimited by the bottom 32.1 of the housing 32, the wall 34 and the ear 35. Stop 77 extends into a fourth groove 82 delimited by the bottom 32.1 of the housing 32, the wall 34 and the ear 36.

[0080] The container door 30 according to this third embodiment is intended to cooperate with a cell door 15 whose external face 8 is flat, without a recess 17.

[0081] In the absence of a connection with the cell door 15, the pin 61 is pushed back by the spring 64 and the section 66 is engaged in the recess 69. The section 66 engaged in the recess 69 blocks a rotation of the tray 40 relative to the body 31 and the container door 3 is locked onto the container flange by the external bayonet connection.

[0082] When the container flange 3 and the cell flange 2 are engaged, the pin 61 is pushed by the outer face 8 of the door 15 into the housing 62 against the effect of the spring 64 and the section 66 is pushed out of the imprint 69.

[0083] The outer leg 15.1 of the cell door 15 engages between the lugs 37 and 38 and the outer leg 15.3 of the cell door 15 engages between the lugs 35 and 36. The outer leg 15.1 is therefore located between the stops 73 and 74, the outer leg 15.3 is located between the stops 76 and 77.

[0084] When a rotational movement is applied to the container flange 3 (here a sixty-degree clockwise rotation as shown in [Fig. 9]), the tabs 15.1 and 15.3 respectively bear against the stops 73 and 77 and drive them in rotation within the grooves 80 and 82. The rotation of the flange 3 causes the plate 40 to rotate, and during this rotational movement the following steps take place:

[0085] - the first bayonet joint, also called bridle-bridle joint and not visible In the figures, it clicks into place to secure the container flange 3 to the cell flange 2 via the ears 3.1 to 3.4. This first bayonet connection thus constitutes a means of coupling the two flanges;

[0086] - the external tabs 15.1 to 15.4 of the cell door 15 cooperate with the ears internal 35 to 38 of the container door 30 to engage the internal bayonet joint, also called the door-to-door joint and not visible in the figures. The internal bayonet joint secures the container door 30 to the cell door 15. This second bayonet joint thus constitutes a means of securing and disconnecting the container door and the cell door;

[0087] - after a rotation of thirty degrees, the pin 61 comes to rest against the end 68.2 of the light 68.

[0088] Once the coupling operation of the container door 30 with the cell door 15 is completed, the opening of the cell door 15 allows the central opening 18 to be released, taking the container door 30 with it, which corresponds to the situation in [Fig.2].

[0089] Similarly, once the transfer has been completed, the cell door 15 is folded down before the lock 19 is actuated to secure it in the closed position. The operator then pivots the container 3 in the opposite direction, and the tabs 15.1 and 15.3 come into contact with the stops 74 and 76 respectively, to drive the platform 40. This allows the external bayonet connection of the platform 40 to be engaged on the container 3 in order to secure the container door 30 to the container flange 3, the internal bayonet connection to be disengaged in order to detach the container door 30 from the cell door 15, and the connection between the cell flange 2 and the container flange 3 to release the latter.

[0090] Of course, the invention is not limited to the embodiments described but encompasses any variant falling within the scope of the invention as defined by the claims.
