Hearing device and method for reducing feedback therein

In a hearing device with low feedback tendency with simultaneous open feed and utilization of the natural directional effect of the pinna, the hearing device has a tube-shaped ear fitting piece for insertion into an auditory canal and speaker is arranged in the ear fitting piece, and at least two microphones are arranged in the ear fitting piece acoustically-symmetrically to the speaker in the built-in state of the hearing device in the ear fitting piece. The sound emitted by the speaker that can be differentiated from the usable sound, such that the level of feedback can be reduced. At the same time, open feed and utilization of the natural directional effect of the pinna are ensured.

Active noise suppression for a hearing aid device which can be worn in the ear or a hearing aid device with otoplastic which can be worn in the ear

In the case of a hearing aid device which can be worn in the ear or a hearing aid device with a otoplastic which can be worn in the ear, the penetration of direct sound through a ventilation channel of the hearing aid device or of the otoplastic is prevented. An acoustic signal is picked up from the ventilation channel via a second microphone in a first region of the ventilation channel and phase-shifting it in a filter device in such a way that the direct sound is at least largely eliminated after the phase-shifted signal is emitted into the ventilation channel via a second earphone. The invention offers the advantage that an enlargement of the cross section of the ventilation channel is made possible as a result, even to provide an open supply, without disturbing direct sound getting into the auditory canal of the person wearing the hearing device.

A hearing device with an open earpiece having a short vent

The present invention relates to a new type of hearing device housing having an open canal section that is adapted for fitting in the ear canal of a wearer and having a short vent, the longitudinal extension of which is shorter than the longitudinal extension of the open canal section, and an output port for emission of sound towards the eardrum of the wearer when inserted in the ear canal, and an outer ear section for accommodation of electronic components and being attached to the canal section and adapted for positioning in front of the ear during use, the short vent reducing the occlusion effect, wherein the canal section comprises an open and flexible earpiece manufactured in standard sizes. The hearing device may be a hearing aid, a headset, a headphone, etc. Unlike a conventional BTE (Behind-The-Ear) hearing aid having a housing to be positioned behind the ear, the housing of the hearing device according to the present invention is positioned in front of the ear, i.e. in front of the pinna. The positioning of the hearing device is simple since positioning of the outer ear section is automatically performed together with the positioning of the open canal section in the ear canal of the wearer.

Headphone device

[Object] To provide a headphone device in which the influence of individual differences in virtual sound field reproduction is less likely to occur and which may listen external sounds naturally,[Solution] A left-side headphone body and a right-side headphone body include speaker arrays which are formed of a plurality of speaker units which are arranged to surround auricles, respectively. The speaker array of the headphone body reproduces a sound field inside a closed curved surface in the vicinity of the auricle using wave field synthesis, and since reverberation or a diffraction effect occurs in the ear of each individual, the influence caused by individual differences is less likely to occur. In addition, the speaker array has the plurality of the speaker units arranged to surround the auricle and is not of a shape that blocks the ear of the listener, and then the external sound can be heard naturally.

Ear-mounted lenticular acoustic reflector

The present invention pertains to an ear-mountable, paraboloid-shaped reflective acoustic lens which can be used to enhance a user's perception of the sounds from a source the user faces. The lens mechanically collects and naturally amplifies the airborne acoustic information from the sound source. The lens uses both the wearer's external ear as well as the interior face of an acoustic lens to coherently reflect increased amounts of sound from the source into the ear canal of a user who wears the lightweight, deformable lens. All sections of the lens meet the head of the user at an obtuse angle. The lens is held in place around the user's ear by the inward pressure of the lens pushing against the outside of the user's pinna. Adherence of the device to the ear of the wearer can be increased by an adhesive strip on the interior face of the lens.

Sound oriented transmission method of mobile terminal and mobile terminal

The invention provides a sound oriented transmission method of a mobile terminal and the mobile terminal. The method comprises the steps of: storing auricle images of a user into the internal storage of the mobile terminal in advance; when the mobile terminal plays sound, starting an image obtaining device to obtain the front image of the mobile terminal; recognizing that whether auricle characteristics are included in the front image; if the auricle characteristics are recognized, matching the auricle characteristics in the auricle images stored in the mobile terminal with the auricle characteristics in the front image; if the matching is successful, obtaining relative three-dimensional space coordinates of the ears of the user relative to a parametric array loudspeaker in the mobile terminal, starting the parametric array loudspeaker, and transmitting sound signals towards the directions of the ears according to the obtained relative three-dimensional space coordinates. According to the sound oriented transmission method of the mobile terminal and the mobile terminal, after being recognized, the ears of the user are positioned, sound is transmitted in an oriented manner by the parametric array loudspeaker, and thereby sound diffusion is reduced, and interference of the sound on people nearby is avoided.

Hearing device system with behind-the-ear hearing aid devices fashioned side-specific

In order to improve the directional effect in a hearing device system with a hearing aid device worn behind the left ear and a hearing aid device worn behind the right ear, the hearing aid devices are to be fashioned side-specific. Furthermore, each hearing aid device has at least three sound entrance ports that are arranged substantially along a straight line. When the hearing aid devices are worn, these straight lines are turned toward the straight-ahead viewing direction of a hearing device user (in contrast to symmetrically-fashioned hearing aid devices) due to the particular fashioning of the hearing aid devices. A directional effect thus is achieved by the natural formation of the pinna.
