Description

Title of invention: Ceiling fan Technical field

[0001] The present application relates to a ceiling fan comprising a particularly versatile motor unit, simplifying the manufacture and design of the different versions and models of fans. STATE OF THE ART

[0002] Ceiling fans are known in the current state of the art, comprising a bracket, a housing attached to the bracket, a motor in the housing, and a series of blades, usually three or more. The blades are driven by the motor, which has a controller for controlling the different speeds and directions of rotation of the blades.

[0003] The manufacturer usually has different models, with different aesthetics and, relevantly, different materials and blade lengths. This means that each design has different moments of inertia and its motors have a different working regime than other models.

[0004] From document US2019199254, it is known that there are fans whose motor detects the conditions of the blades by the power consumed. This system is reasonably efficient, but requires great complexity because it requires sensors and other technical elements. The construction complexity and the probability of failure are therefore high.

[0005] The applicant does not know of any system that can solve all of these problems as efficiently as the invention. BRIEF EXPLANATION OF THE INVENTION

[0006] The invention consists of a ceiling fan consisting of a bracket for fixing to a ceiling, a housing with a drive unit and blades, and which is characterized in that the drive unit consists of a motor and a controller with a memory which stores at least two series of speeds, each comprising at least two speeds and / or directions of rotation.

[0007] Advantageously, the ceiling fan comprises an ionizer.

[0008] Preferably, the fan comprises a humidity sensor.

[0009] Thus, the ceiling fan is of the type consisting of a bracket for fixing to a ceiling, a housing with a drive unit and blades. The drive unit consists of a motor and a controller. The controller has a memory which stores at least two sets of speeds, each having at least two speeds and / or directions of rotation. In the preferred case, it includes several series with twelve speeds: six in one direction and six in the other.

[0010] The fan can be supplemented with an ionizer to eliminate static electricity and improve the environment, and prevent dust from adhering to the blades by electrostatic effect. A humidity sensor can also be placed in the housing, usually at the top of the finial. It is thus possible to modify the speed or series of speeds depending on the ambient humidity.

[0011] Other variations can be appreciated in the remainder of the document. DESCRIPTION OF FIGURES

[0012] For a better understanding of the invention, the following figures are included, showing exemplary embodiments.

[0013] [Fig.l]: Exterior view of an example of an embodiment

[0014] [Fig.2]: Functional diagram of the motor unit. MODES OF EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION

[0015] An embodiment of the invention is briefly described below, by way of illustrative and non-limiting example thereof.

[0016] The preferred example is described with reference to [Fig.l]. The fan has a bracket (1) for attachment to the ceiling, a housing (2) with a drive unit inside and blades (3). The drive unit is powered by an electric cable which is usually routed along the bracket (1) to the ceiling. The fan is usually controlled from a remote control, but instructions can also be transmitted by cable.

[0017] The power unit of [Fig.2] comprises a motor (4) with a controller (5), a receiver or a driver. The motor has a rotor connected to the blades (3) and a stator fixed to the housing (2). The controller (5) controls the rotational speed of the motor (4), so that it follows the orders it receives concerning the speed and direction of rotation.

[0018] The controller (5) is pre-programmed with at least two sets of speeds stored in a memory. Each set consists of variations in power supplied to the motor (4) to form at least two speeds, including one or two directions of rotation. Most often, six speeds in each direction are included. Thus, the fan installer will choose the set of speeds that will apply to the model being assembled, depending on the blades (3). It should be considered that the installer will normally be an operator or technician, but may also be the end user.

[0019] It is possible to indicate to the controller (5) which series of speeds to choose by hardware, by manipulating a button or a lever, or by software by introducing a concrete order via the remote control or the electric cable.

[0020] Thus, the same motor unit can be used with several different blade models, and the user can even modify the performance of his fan, by changing the blades (3) after purchase and installation. It is sufficient to place the new blades and indicate to the controller (5) which series will be activated from that moment when the fan is started.

[0021] For example, a fan according to the invention may have six sets of six programmed speeds (three in each direction). The user or installer marks on the controller (5) the chosen set according to the size or weight of the blades (3). Thus, this drive unit could move blades (3) capable of being mounted at 106, 122, 132, 152, 166 and 178 cm, blades made of wood or plastic, and / or of variable shapes.

[0022] The controller (5) can also be connected to lamps, speakers or any other accessories of the fan, so that the user can control them using the remote control.

[0023] In one embodiment, the fan has an ionizer (6) that purifies the air, for example by incorporating ionizing tips into the finial of the housing (2). This allows ions to be diffused into the environment, reducing the electrostatic charge and purifying the air.
