Description

Title of the invention: Outdoor stove Technical field

[0001] The present invention relates to an outdoor stove, which allows its use with organic materials, biomass, such as wood pellets or the like, so that the stove requires little maintenance and is very energy efficient. State of the art

[0002] The existence of outdoor stoves is known in the state of the art, which consist of a fuel tank, a combustion chamber, and a smoke outlet. Relevant examples can be seen in document ES2557413 and, in particular, in document AR119384 which is considered to be the closest state of the art.

[0003] One of the problems with these stoves is that combustion generates ash, so it is not possible to visualize the combustion. All the windows quickly become dirty and the aesthetic appearance is nullified. Therefore, the user must carry out frequent cleaning.

[0004] The applicant does not know of any system that can solve all these problems as effectively as the present invention. Brief explanation of the invention

[0005] The invention consists of an outdoor stove whose variants solve the problems of the state of the art.

[0006] The invention relates to an outdoor stove comprising a housing, a first combustion chamber, an air inlet to the first chamber and a fuel hopper provided with a feed spout to a grate of the first chamber. The stove also has a lower ash pan and a smoke outlet. The first chamber is connected to a second vertical, transparent and circular-section chamber through inclined radial blades. Namely, the air passing through these blades takes on a rotational speed and moves helically through the second chamber, where the flame is produced.

[0007] Preferably, the stove has an annular access around the blades which connects the interior of the second chamber with the environment. This access may also have inclined blades to generate rotation of the current.

[0008] In the most preferred embodiment, the grate consists of a perforated cylinder, with a horizontal axis, from which a plurality of perforated fins extend, the grate being connected to a rotation motor. The grate is above a passage to the lower ash pan, so that during rotation, the accumulated ash falls into it.

[0009] In one embodiment, the first chamber is rectangular prismatic to provide a larger storage volume for all waste without reducing air passage.

[0010] In one embodiment, the spout comprises a cylindrical valve with a horizontal axis with two perimeter passages.

[0011] Other variations will emerge in the remainder of the description. Description of figures

[0012] For a better understanding of the invention, the following figures are attached, illustrating exemplary embodiments.

[0013] [Fig. 1] is an exterior view of an exemplary embodiment.

[0014] [Fig.2] is a longitudinal section of the previous example.

[0015] [Fig.3] is a detail of an example of a grid. Embodiments of the invention

[0016] A brief description of one embodiment of the invention is given below, by way of illustrative and non-limiting example thereof.

[0017] The outdoor stove consists of a self-supporting housing in which a hopper 1 is defined for storing biomass, generally in the form of pellets to better control the dosage. The hopper 1 has an upper opening, which can be hermetically sealed to prevent the escape of gas or dust, and a lower feed spout 2 to a first combustion chamber 3. The first chamber 3 receives the biomass from the spout 2 onto a rotating grate 4. The grate 4 consists of a perforated cylinder 41, with a horizontal axis, from which a plurality of fins 42, also perforated, extend. The size of the perforations is smaller than the dimensions of the pellets. The fins 42 facilitate the emptying of the ash from the first chamber 3 and the entry of the biomass in a controlled manner from the spout 2.

[0018] As can be seen, the first chamber 3 has a rectangular prismatic shape, with the grid 4 at one end and a second vertical, transparent chamber 5 of circular section in the upper part of the opposite end.

[0019] To ensure the transparency of the second chamber 5, two solutions have been applied. According to the first, the connection between the first chamber 3 and the second chamber 5 comprises a series of inclined radial blades 6 which ensure the helical flow of air through the second chamber 5. Furthermore, around the blades 6, an annular access 7 is defined which communicates the lower part of the second chamber 5 with the environment. Due to the speed of passage of the fumes and gases through the second chamber 5, the ambient air is sucked in through the access 7, so that a layer is generated near the wall of the second chamber 5 which separates the fumes and gases from the wall. The upper part of the second chamber 5 includes a smoke outlet, with a closing plate, as is customary for this type of stoves, which are shaped in a "mushroom" shape.

[0020] The grate 4 is rotatable with the aid of a motor 8, which allows any ash accumulated on the grate 4 to fall into a removable lower tray 9. The motor 8 can be programmed to rotate with a certain frequency or when a variation in temperature or another variable of the stove is detected. Any gas produced in the lower tray 9 will reach the chambers 3,5 through the grate 4.

[0021] An air inlet 10 allows access of oxidant to the first chamber 3. As is customary in the state of the art, the air inlet 10 has a closure which makes it possible to control the quantity of air entering and even to cut off the air inlet. Similarly, it is possible to control the quantity of fuel entering the first chamber 10 by means of a cylindrical valve 11 with two facing perimeter passages. This valve controls the passage of fuel by rotating it, for example, manually. If the passages are transverse to the nozzle 2, the fuel will stop passing and the diameter of the valve 11 will separate the heat from the combustion zone of the hopper 1.

[0022] The stove has safety measures such as grates so that users cannot access the second chamber 5.
