[0001] The present invention relates to a folding beach chair of the deckchair type. STATE OF THE ART

[0002] There are many forms of folding beach chairs of the deckchair type, generally having an articulated frame, which folds up like folding chairs.

[0007] DISCLOSURE AND ADVANTAGES OF THE INVENTION

[0008] To this end, the invention relates to a folding deckchair type beach seat comprising:

[0012] The beach seat according to the invention has the advantage of being an adjustable seat, that is to say with an adjustable backrest which is very stable in use, easily transportable and of excellent comfort.

[0033] DESCRIPTION OF AN EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION

[0034] According to [Fig.l], the invention relates to a folding beach chair 100 of the deckchair type composed of a backrest 1 and a seat 2. The backrest 1 is in two substantially equal parts, a lower part 11 articulated on the seat 2 and an upper part 12 connected by an articulation 3 to the lower part 11. The articulation 3 of the two parts 11, 12 of the backrest is intended to allow the backrest to be folded to reduce its bulk. This articulation 3 is an external articulation, the upper part 12 of the backrest folding from the outside against the lower part 11.

Claims

1. Beach seat (100) of the folding deckchair type comprising: a. a backrest (1) in two rigid parts (11, 12) which can be folded onto one another, the backrest (1) itself connected by a joint (4) to a rigid seat (2) continuing with a foldable sheet (5), b. a crutch (6, 8) with adjustable inclination, connected to the backrest (1), c. a gripping means for carrying the folded seat.

Beach chair (100) according to claim 1, characterized in that the backrest (1) is formed of two separate parts (11, 12), of substantially equal dimensions to fold one on the other by an external articulation (3), opening or closing only in the half-space behind the backrest, the backrest (1) is connected to the seat (2) by an internal articulation (4) allowing the lower part (11) of the backrest to be folded onto the seat (2), the seat (2) having a length substantially equal to that of the lower part (11) of the backrest (1).

3. Beach seat (100) of the folding deckchair type comprising: - a backrest in two rigid parts (11, 12), separated, of substantially equal dimensions to fold one on the other by an external articulation (3) opening or closing only in the half-space behind the backrest (1), - the backrest (1) itself being connected by an articulation (4) to a rigid seat (2), by an internal articulation (4) allowing the lower part (11) of the backrest to be folded onto the seat (2) whose length is substantially equal to that of the lower part (11) of the backrest (1), - a crutch (6, 8) of adjustable inclination connected to the backrest (1), and - a gripping means for carrying the folded seat.

4. Beach seat (100) according to claims 1 or 3, characterized in that a sheet (5) extending the seat (2) folds up with a length substantially double the length of the seat (2) to fold up against the underside of the seat (2).

5. Beach chair (100) according to claims 1 or 3, characterized in that the adjustable tilting crutch (6), connected to the articulation (3) of the backrest, is foldable into the thickness of the parts (11, 12) of the backrest (1).

Beach chair (100) according to claims 1 or 3, characterized in that the crutch (8) is composed of two branches (8a) and a crosspiece (8b), the branches being connected by an articulation (81) to the respective side of the lower part (11) of the backrest (1), a tie rod (83) being connected by an articulation (831) to each respective branch (8a) and its free end cooperates with a rack (82) carried by each side of the lower part (11) of the backrest.

7. Beach seat (100) according to claim 5, characterized in that the crutch (6) cooperates with a rack (62) connected to the articulation (4) of the backrest (1) to the seat (2).

8. Beach chair (100) according to claim 7, characterized in that the crutch (6) has two twin branches (6a) connected by a crosspiece (6b) cooperating with a twin rack (62a) connected by a crosspiece (62b).

9. Beach seat (100) according to claim 1 or 3, characterized in that the upper edge (11) of the lower part (11) of the backrest (1) is provided with a gripping means such as a handle or shoulder strap (7).

10. Beach seat (100) according to any one of claims 5, 7, 8, characterized in that the rack (9) has teeth (91) having at their base a clipping notch (92) for receiving the end (101) in the form of a round rod carried directly or indirectly by the crutch.
