Description

Title of the invention: V2H method with automatic power supply management

[0001] The present invention relates to a method for automatically supplying electricity to a building from at least one electric vehicle, said electricity supply being calculated from the electricity consumption habits of the building, a computer program for implementing this method and a human-machine communication interface comprising such a computer program.

[0002] V2H technology (abbreviation for "vehicle to home" in English) makes it possible to use the storage of batteries in electric vehicles by allowing a two-way exchange between these vehicles and the home's electrical network. Thus, the V2H system allows an electric vehicle to temporarily supply electricity to a home, depending on demand.

[0003] It should be noted that an electric vehicle may, in the context of the present invention, comprise one or more batteries indifferently, but that reference will be made to the batteries (in the plural) of these vehicles, even if said vehicles only comprise one battery per vehicle.

[0004] Typically, the V2H system allows users of such a system to control electricity consumption by storing a portion of the electricity from the electricity grid (i.e., electricity supplied by an electricity company - also referred to herein as the "external electricity grid"), particularly during periods of lower rates (commonly referred to as "off-peak hours").

[0005] Furthermore, in the case of homes equipped with electricity generating devices (solar panels, wind turbines, etc.), the V2H system makes it possible to accumulate the electricity thus produced in the electric vehicle(s) before redistributing the excess to the external electricity network. The V2H system therefore appears to be a particularly advantageous system for improving the management of electricity as energy for a home and reducing consumption costs.

[0006] However, there is a need to improve electricity management in V2H systems. Indeed, there is a need to optimize the amount of energy contained in the battery of the vehicle(s) for everyday applications in the home, while benefiting from the capacity of the vehicle(s) batteries to conserve, predict and supply electricity to the vehicle(s) when desired or necessary.

[0007] The aim of the invention is therefore to overcome the drawbacks of the prior art by proposing a method for automatically supplying electricity to a building from of at least one electric vehicle. In this method, said power supply is calculated from the building's electricity consumption habits.

[0008] Thus, by tracing and archiving the electrical energy flows in the building, such as a home, it is possible to establish an electricity consumption profile, applicable in a predictive manner. The present invention therefore solves the problem of traceability of the energy exchanges taking place in a V2H system between the vehicle(s) and the applications requiring electricity within a building with a sharing of information from various actors which will make it possible to optimize the service according to the different needs of the users in an optimized manner.

[0009] The invention is particularly well suited to people with a daily routine that can be reproduced day after day, or week after week, which makes it possible to calibrate the electricity flows optimally. Thus, the present invention allows the optimization of electrical energy exchanges (in particular electricity drawn from the external electrical network) for the applications requiring it most within the building in an optimized, personalized, or even customizable manner (i.e. modifiable on demand).

[0010] In particular, the present invention makes it possible to limit the charging voltages on the external electrical network.

[0011] The present invention thus allows many users adopting a V2H system to be able to optimize the quantity of energy contained in the batteries of their vehicle(s) for the applications of their daily life requiring it most in a secure manner, traced in complete immutability.

[0012] Furthermore, the present invention makes it possible to use the energy stored in said at least one vehicle for applications requiring electricity at home in order to be able to optimize the V2H service according to the number of people in the building and the needs, the habits within the building in terms of electricity consumption, the number of connected objects and associated use within the building.

[0013] A “building” according to the present invention is a public, personal or professional building comprising an internal electrical network, such as a residential house, a building comprising several apartments and / or professional offices, a garage, a municipal hall, a town hall, a hospital, etc.

[0014] Preferably, a “building” according to the present invention is a residential house comprising, for example, a garage for an electric vehicle.

[0015] Advantageously, consumption habits are extracted from a data storage and transmission mode in the form of blocks linked to each other and protected against any modification, also called "blockchains". The security generated by the use of such storage modes makes it possible to ensure the reliability of the method according to the present invention.

[0016] Thus, the use of “blockchain” technology is particularly advantageous for being able to trace the exchanges of information and energy from the V2H system from the vehicle and from the external electrical network, in order to be able, in particular thanks to quantum technology, to optimize the energy management of the V2H system according to the energy supplier, while tracing the needs and charging habits of said at least one vehicle of the user(s) as well as the energy consumption habits within a building (for example a home).

[0017] In other words, the "blockchain" technology making it possible to trace energy exchanges during the V2H service in a secure, integrated and immutable manner, can then, on the basis of this data on the needs and habits of the users, optimize the energy exchanges of the service and optimize the use of the energy remaining in the batteries of said at least one vehicle for the electrical applications in the building that require it.

[0018] In a particular embodiment, the traceability of the data emitted from the V2H system as well as the electrical habits and electrical consumption of users from energy companies are secured in order to be able to optimize the process based on this data for better allocation of energy for everyday applications.

[0019] In a particular embodiment, the “blockchain” data is contained in a computing “cloud” (“cloud computing” in French, referring to the use of memory and computing capacities of computers and servers distributed geographically and linked by a network).

[0020] Thus, advantageously, the electrical power supplied by said at least one electric vehicle is greater than 10%, preferably greater than 50% of the total daily electricity consumption of the building. Indeed, the electricity stored in said at least one electric vehicle comes from the external electrical network at a time when consumption rates are at their lowest ("off-peak hours"), or comes from energy sources independent of the external electrical network, such as solar panels, wind turbines, hydroelectric power plants, geothermal sources coupled with electricity generators, etc., thus providing a reserve capacity of energy usable at the most opportune moment. In addition, the method according to the present invention makes it possible to favor, if the user so wishes, one (or more) source(s) of electrical energy independent of the external electrical network.Indeed, if the building (or the property on which the building is located) includes one or more energy sources independent of the network (for example solar panels, wind turbines, hydroelectric power plants, geothermal sources coupled with electricity generators, etc.), the user can configure his process to preferentially use one or more such energy source(s) by doing so. operate the system batteries, in particular those of said at least one electric vehicle, to compensate for drops in electrical production from the independent energy source(s) or increased energy demands within the building.

[0021] In a preferred embodiment, the electrical power supplied by said at least one electric vehicle is greater than 60%, preferably greater than 80%, more preferably greater than 95% of the total daily electricity consumption of the building. Such proportions of electrical energy are particularly achievable at times of the year requiring little electrical energy, such as during the summer or mid-season, when heating needs are lower.

[0022] Preferably, the method according to the invention is characterized in that it is included in a V2H system. V2H systems are known in the art and the method according to the invention, due to its simplicity, can easily be added to V2H systems already installed.

[0023] Thus, in a particular embodiment, the electrical power supplied to the building by said at least one electric vehicle is adapted to the price variations of the electricity in the network to which said building is connected. Typically according to the invention, the batteries of said at least one electric vehicle are recharged during so-called “off-peak” periods and the electricity is thus stored and used in high price periods (corresponding to the peaks in general electricity consumption on the external electricity network) also called “peak hours”.

[0024] Preferably, the method according to the invention comprises a function for canceling the automatic function. Indeed, if the user wishes to interrupt the automatic method, in particular because he knows that his habits risk being modified, he can interrupt and / or modulate the method according to the present invention to best meet his electricity consumption wishes.

[0025] This can for example be achieved simply using a modifiable calendar. Thus, in a particular embodiment, the method according to the invention comprises an interface for incrementation by a user, in particular in the form of a modifiable calendar.

[0026] Such an interface can also be connected to the building's connected objects in order to optimize the management of the electrical resource (whether it comes from the external electrical network and / or from an independent source).

[0027] In a particular embodiment, the method comprises a UPS function (acronym for “uninterruptible power supply” in English), in particular in the event of a power outage in the building. Indeed, the batteries of said at least one vehicle can be used to supply electricity, in particular to ensure electricity is maintained over a short period of time in in the event of a power failure on the external electrical network supplying the building.

[0028] In a particular embodiment, if the building is not connected to a network, but includes independent means of generating its own electricity (solar panels, wind turbines, hydroelectric power station, etc.), said at least one vehicle can offer a simple means of increasing the capacity of electricity reserves, in particular complementary to one or more batteries installed on site.

[0029] The subject matter of the present invention further relates to a computer program comprising program code instructions for executing the method as described above when said program is executed on a computer.

[0030] By "computer" is understood any type of electronic device having the capabilities of an automatic information processing machine, obeying programs formed by sequences of arithmetic and logical operations, such as a PC computer, a server, a touch tablet, a smartphone, a connected watch, etc.

[0031] The subject of the present invention also relates to a human-machine communication interface, such as a smartphone, a touch tablet, a PC computer, said machine comprising a computer program as described above.

[0032] Embodiments of the present invention will be described below, by way of non-limiting examples, with reference to the appended figure in which: [Fig.l] schematically illustrates a diagram of storage and management on a cloud of the data emitted from a V2H type system in order to be able to optimize the process based on this data for a better allocation of energy for everyday applications.

[0033] With reference to [Fig.l], a cloud 1 comprises means 2 for collecting and storing data. For example, such means may comprise an electricity meter placed at the entrance to the building, upstream and / or downstream of independent energy sources, providing connected information (data) which is then shared with the “cloud 1” network. Generally speaking, the more (physical) means there are for collecting data on the electricity network, the more efficient the method according to the present invention will be. These collection means may be shared, with the user's authorization, with other actors in the system taken as a whole, such as electricity suppliers. The data thus collected are analyzed and processed by analysis and processing means 3 and the data are displayed automatically by an automatic display means 4.The result is the generation of an electricity consumption profile which is then implemented in the electrical network of building 5 (therefore including electric vehicle 6) to optimize electricity consumption.
