Abstract

The pouf-duvet initially takes the form of a cylindrical pouf, composed of several separable parts, allowing the entire pouf to open and reveal the inner duvet. The cylinder then becomes a footboard flap, and the interlocking side discs form a round cushion cover. The duvet has invisible horizontal openings and various seams creating staggered filling compartments. The openings in the cover allow for the filling and unfilling of the duvet using a variety of removable cushions. The pouf-duvet is available in different sizes, shapes, and materials; it can be quilted and include a carrying handle. Figure for the abbreviation: [FIG 3]

Description

Title of the invention: Convertible and modular duvet-pouf.

[0001] The model according to the invention initially takes the form of a cylindrical pouf composed of different detachable parts. The side discs separate from the cylinder, which also opens into two parts, allowing the entire pouf to be deployed to reveal the duvet. Once deployed, the duvet is simply placed on the bed and does not require any additional protective cover. The duvet has different invisible openings and a number of seams forming offset compartments that allow it to be filled and unfilled with a plurality of removable cushions. This opening system allows the duvet to be modular at will, to adapt to all beds and to be easily washable in a standard machine. Its filling cushions are quilted with wadding and filled with recycled and flame-retardant polystyrene beads, making it more comfortable and enveloping.

[0002] This system overcomes the disadvantages of the models already offered: Traditional poufs, like duvets, are single-use and difficult to maintain (laundry, dry cleaning). Duvets are generally not usable in all seasons and the materials used for their filling give them a uniform density, retaining the same heat over their entire surface. They are bulky, do not fit all beds and their protective covers remain complicated to install.

[0003] The pouf: Made of different pieces of fabric connected together by zips, Velcro, etc., it wraps around the duvet to form a very useful extra seat and becomes the ideal packaging to avoid cluttering cupboards. Available in several shapes, sizes and materials depending on the duvet model, it can be offered separately from the duvet, quilted and include a carrying handle.

[0004] The duvet: Is made of several partially overlapped front fabric panels and a back fabric panel. Thanks to this system, the cover can be opened and adjusted at will, thus allowing it to adapt to all beds - evolving, bunk beds, etc. -. Its removable filling cushions facilitate its frequent washing in a standard machine, thus avoiding maintenance complications and anti-mite treatments. It is available in several sizes and materials - cotton, linen, silk, etc. -, its seams and openings can be different depending on the models and sizes. The invisible openings of The covers can be more or less numerous, closed by zips, snaps, etc., or remain without closure and extensions can be offered depending on the models chosen to obtain more length and width.

[0005] The filling cushions: Initially quilted with wadding and filled with recycled and fireproof polystyrene beads, the cushions can be mixed with different materials such as; fiber beads - down beads..., or even with simple filling such as; beads, feathers, wadding..., and be of different densities according to needs. Polystyrene bead cushions are a significant asset for the duvet; they allow the regulation of heat thanks to the movements made during sleep, making the cover more enveloping and comfortable. They are easily machine washable and do not cause any overload during the cycle.

[0006] The side discs: Combined together, they form a round cushion cover or even a discreet pajama storage. They can be doubled and filled to form extra pillows depending on the model chosen.

[0007] The different parts of this model: They are washable in standard washing machines even with other laundry, they can be used separately and come in other shapes, sizes and materials depending on the models.

[0008] The attached drawings illustrate the Pouf-duvet from different aspects:

[0009] 1. The realization of [Fig.l] [Fig.l] represents the exploded plan of the cover and includes: One piece of fabric on the back (1), five pieces of fabric on the front partially overlapped (3), two removable circular pieces of fabric forming the seat and the base of the cylinder (4).

[0010] 2. The realization of [Fig.2] [Fig.2] represents the front of the cover with filling mixed and includes: A duvet (1) which can be opened using invisible zips, Velcro, etc. (4) with a foot flap (6) on which fixing seams (2) and a plurality of offset seams (3) are made, forming filling compartments (5).

[0011] 3. The realization of [Fig.3] [Fig.3] represents one of the possibilities of folding the comforter : The cover filled with its cushions is folded on itself by its sides and rolled to form the pouf by assembling the sides of the cylinder (flap) and the side discs.

[0012] 4. The realization of [Fig.4] [Fig.4] represents two of the parts of the model and includes: A front and cut-out cushion model, and a cylindrical pouf model forming the packaging and its side discs.

Claims

Claims

1. Model of a convertible and modular duvet pouf, characterized in that the model initially takes the form of a cylindrical pouf, composed of different separable parts, allowing the entire pouf to open to unfold the duvet. The cylinder then becomes a bed foot flap and the side discs, which can be combined with each other, form a round cushion cover. The duvet has invisible horizontal openings as well as different seams forming offset filling compartments. The openings in the cover allow the duvet to be filled and unfilled with a plurality of removable cushions quilted with wadding and filled with recycled and fireproof polystyrene beads.

2. Model according to claim 1, characterized in that the pouf is formed from different sections of fabric joined together by zips, Velcro, etc. forming the packaging of the duvet and an extra seat. Depending on the model, it can be of different shapes, sizes and materials.

3. Model according to claims 1 and 2, characterized in that the different parts of the pouf are separable and form a bed foot flap by its cylinder and a cushion cover with its side discs. Depending on the model, the pouf can be separated from the duvet, be quilted and with a carrying handle.
