Abstract

The trapezoidal, almost rectangular shape of modern spades is rooted in the tradition of spades used by farmers and gardeners a century ago. It requires a strength that today's users no longer possess. Furthermore, large-scale horticultural work has been mechanized. Current gardening needs demand more ergonomic and multifunctional spades. A new shape adapted to these new demands was needed. The "delta wing" spade, the subject of this invention, meets this need. It is pointed for better soil penetration and to avoid obstacles such as stones or roots. The point is followed by a V-shaped section at an angle to the spade's axis, allowing it to cut and shear the soil. Finally, the full width of the spade is used to provide leverage with the handle, facilitating turning. All these features allow for easier and more flexible work.

Description

Title of the invention: TITLE

[0001] New type of spade in "delta wing", more ergonomic and more multifunctional, which is better suited to amateur gardeners who are less physically strong than the farmers of olden times.

Claims

Claims

1. : The “delta wing” shape of the tip as described in this utility certificate, which has 3 parts: the tip, the “V” and the wide part at the socket. Claim 2: A tip which allows easy penetration into the ground and at the same time the detection, then the circumvention, and finally the lifting of obstacles such as pebbles, stones, roots.

3. : a “V” shaped part which allows the tool to continue penetrating the soil by shearing it, to cut any roots, and, when tilting the tool, to shear it differentially, allowing easier extraction of the soil. The “V” shaped part connects to the tip on the one hand and to the part close to the socket by a more open “V”. The angle of the “V” relative to the axis of the spade is of the order of 15° to 20° without this being limiting because it depends on the intended use of the tool.

4. : a part close to the socket, the width of the tip, serving both as a support for the leverage effect when tilting the tool, and as a shovel for transporting the earth lifted to the side.

5. for information purposes and without limitation, example of dimensions of a “delta” spade, the dimensions depending on the use to which it is to be put: type: “28” spade (see attached diagram) width: 18 cm (tests have also been carried out with 20 cm) length of the point: 5 cm, width 5 cm at the base length of the following “V”: 8.5 cm, width 8.5 cm at the base length of the connection: 5 cm, width 18 cm at the base length of the base near the socket: 9.5 cm Note: in very stony ground a narrower spade can be used which is then used to dig up pebbles and stones, with little soil transport, which is the case for planting in such soils.
