Abstract

The invention relates to a vehicle (1) comprising a body panel (2) in which an opening (3) is formed, said body panel (2) being adapted to cooperate with a flap (4) to selectively open or close said opening (3), said body panel (2) and the flap (4) comprising first closing means (5) for keeping the opening (3) closed by said flap (4), the flap (4) comprising at least one portion (41) extending the flap (4) beyond the first closing means (5) and covering a portion of the body panel (2), between a section of said extension (41) of the flap (4) and the corresponding section of the portion of the body panel (2) are positioned second closing means (6). Title of the invention: VEHICLE COMPRISING AN OPENING WITH REINFORCED SEALING

[0001] The present invention relates to a vehicle which comprises a bodywork element in which an opening is formed, said bodywork element being adapted to collaborate with an opening to selectively close or open said opening, said bodywork element and the opening comprising closing means making it possible to keep the opening closed by said opening, the opening comprising at least one part which extends the opening beyond the first closing means and which covers a part of the bodywork element.

[0002] It is known to have such an opening which is generally formed by a canvas and which covers an opening by extending along the bodywork at the edge of the opening, but it happens that water infiltrates between the bodywork and the opening, up to the closing means, risking penetrating into the passenger compartment of the vehicle, and this in particular in the front part of the opening (following the normal direction of movement of the vehicle) where the speed of the vehicle accelerates the circulation of air on this front part, facilitating the infiltration of water.

[0005] According to a first characteristic of the vehicle according to the invention, the first closing means extend along two opposite sides and along the front part of the opening, the front part of the opening being defined along the normal direction of travel of the vehicle, the rear part of the opening being fixedly secured to the bodywork element.

[0022] The opening 4 is essentially made up of a canvas which includes reinforcements and is adapted to completely cover the zipper of the first closing means 5.

[0023] Once the canvas of the opening 4 is closed by the zipper of the first closing means 5, the strip of the registered trademark "Velcro" of the second closing means 6 ensures that the front of the extension 41 of the canvas of the opening 4 is firmly pressed against the roof 2, ensuring the sealing of the assembly, even when the vehicle is moving.

[0024] The strip of the registered trademark “Velcro” of the second closing means 6 is not a hindrance when opening the canvas of the opening 4 and when the canvas is rolled up to be fixed behind the opening 3.

Vehicle (1) comprising a bodywork element (2) in which an opening (3) is formed, said bodywork element (2) being adapted to collaborate with an opening (4) to selectively close or open said opening (3), said bodywork element (2) and the opening (4) comprising first closing means (5) for keeping the opening (3) closed by said opening (4), the opening (4) comprises at least one part (41) which extends the opening (4) beyond the first closing means (5) and which covers a part of the bodywork element (2), characterized in that between a section of said extension (41) of the opening (4) and the corresponding section of the part of the bodywork element (2) are positioned second closing means (6).

Vehicle (1) according to claim 1, characterized in that the first closing means (5) extend along two opposite sides and along the front part of the opening (3), the front part of the opening (3) being defined along the normal direction of travel of the vehicle (1), the rear part of the opening (4) being fixedly secured to the bodywork element (2).

3. Vehicle (1) according to claim 2, characterized in that the second closing means (6) are positioned along said front part of the first closing means (5).

4. Vehicle (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the first closing means (5) comprise a zipper.

5. Vehicle (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the second closing means (6) comprise a strip of the registered trademark “Velcro”.

6. Vehicle (1) according to the preceding claim, characterized in that a first part (61) of the strip of the registered trademark “Velcro” is fixed to the bodywork element (2).

7. Vehicle (1) according to the preceding claim, characterized in that a second part of the strip of the registered trademark “Velcro” is fixed on the opening (4).

8. Vehicle (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the opening (4) comprises a canvas part.

9. Vehicle (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, ca- characterized in that the bodywork element (2) is the roof of the vehicle (1).
