Description

Title of the invention: Children's Dream Projector

[0001] The present invention relates to a device for entertaining a child during their radiotherapy treatment session regardless of their age. To do this, the device allows the medical and paramedical teams who operate it to broadcast a film, media, a soundtrack or any form of digital content on a screen.

[0002] Radiotherapy sessions (treatment of cancers by the use of ionizing radiation) in young children often require extensive preparation and multidisciplinary work to ensure perfect immobilization for quality care. As a last resort, general anesthesia and all its complications may be necessary. The management of the treatment is therefore quite heavy and the context is anxiety-provoking for the young patient and those around them.

[0003] The device according to the invention makes it possible to overcome these drawbacks by distracting the child while the care is being provided. It comprises a device composed of a mast secured to a system on casters to be easily movable. On this mast is a main screen mounted on an articulated arm also supporting a sound bar which allows them to be placed as close as possible to the child. A fixed secondary screen and a keyboard and mouse set on an ergonomic system are installed opposite the main screen for easy selection of media. A computer tower makes it possible to broadcast different types of audiovisual content from its own "registered trademark" Blu-ray player or other external electronic devices via the USB port, a "registered trademark" USB-C cable or a "registered trademark" Display Port cable.

[0004] According to the particular embodiments: - The mast is placed on a roller system allowing easy movement of the complete device. - On this mast is installed an articulated arm that allows the orientation in all directions of the screen installed on it. Its orientation can be from right to left, from top to bottom and also by rotating sideways and front to back. - Below this screen is integrated a sound bar which allows for more faithful reproduction of content. - A second screen is statically installed for easier user viewing of the settings. - The computer tower is integrated into the device and includes at least one HDMI video input "registered trademark" and one Display Port "registered trademark", two USB inputs (one Type-A and one Type-C "registered trademark"). recorded”), a 3.5mm jack audio output, an RJ45 port or Wi-Fi card and a built-in “registered trademark” Blu-ray player. - An articulated and ergonomic system accommodates a keyboard and a mouse. - A star projector is installed on the upper part of the trolley.

[0005] The attached drawings illustrate the invention: - [Fig.l] represents the device seen from the back. - [Fig.2] represents the device seen from the front.

[0006] With reference to these drawings, the device consists of a vertical mast secured to a roller system (1) on which an articulated arm (2) is arranged in the upper part. On this articulated arm (2) is fixed a main screen (3), which by way of non-limiting example, will have dimensions of the order of 27 to 34 inches diagonally.

[0007] The articulated arm type support (2) allows the screen (3) to be moved and adjusted in space.

[0008] Below this main screen (3) is attached a sound bar (4) to reproduce as faithfully as possible the soundtrack of the media broadcast.

[0009] A computer tower (5) is arranged in the lower part of the device (1). This computer allows the broadcasting of contents on the main screen (3) by means of a video cable as well as on the secondary screen (8) allowing the selection of contents and the various settings.

[0010] To use the computer (5), the user uses a keyboard and a mouse (6) placed on an adjustable support (7) to allow use adapted to each individual.

[0011] A secondary screen (8) is placed on a fixed support opposite the articulated arm (2). This screen (8) is used by the user to launch the broadcasting of the various media and which, by way of non-limiting example, will have dimensions of the order of 19 to 24 inches diagonally.

[0012] To finish the assembly of the device (1), a small star projector (9) is fixed at the top of the mast to create a relaxing atmosphere in the room.

[0013] The device according to the invention is particularly intended for the entertainment of the child during his radiotherapy session.
