Description

Title of the invention: Motor vehicle comprising an electric machine, an air conditioning compressor forming a support for said electric machine

[0001] The present invention relates to the field of motor vehicles and in particular the fixing of a compressor in a vehicle comprising at least one electrical machine.

[0002] The compressor is preferably an air conditioning compressor of an air conditioning system.

[0003] The motor vehicle may be a thermally powered thermal and electric vehicle, being a hybrid vehicle, the electric machine ensuring at least partial propulsion of the vehicle. The motor vehicle may also be a vehicle with only electric propulsion.

[0004] Today, the compressors of the air conditioning system of the motor vehicle are fixed on the electric machine, which makes it possible to take advantage of the latter's filtration. The electric machine is then connected to a support crossmember by two suspension pieces, each located at an opposite end of the electric machine.

[0005] The electric machine is also fixed to the vehicle body by a second support on the side of the reducer of said electric machine.

[0006] The size of electric compressors called "e-compressors" no longer allows their integration into engines. Indeed, such compressors require a need for more efficient filtration.

[0007] Furthermore, the second support requires having sufficiently spaced fixing points on the reducer of the electric machine in order to ensure sufficient holding stiffness as well as a good vibration level.

[0008] Fixing an e-compressor on the reducer side of the electric machine causes interference with the second support of the electric machine.

[0009] There is therefore a need to improve the fixing of new air conditioning compressors in a motor vehicle comprising at least one electrical machine.

[0010] An objective of the invention is to propose a fixing for an air conditioning compressor, while reducing the size of the support on the side of the reducer of the electric machine.

[0011] The present invention relates to a motor vehicle comprising at least one electrical machine extending along a transverse axis between two longitudinal side members, said electrical machine comprising a drive shaft secured to a reducer.

[0012] The motor vehicle further comprises a compressor of an air conditioning system extending along a longitudinal axis perpendicular to the transverse axis.

[0013] The reducer comprises at least three transverse fixing lugs extending along the transverse axis towards one of the side members, on the side opposite the electric machine.

[0014] The compressor comprises at least three transverse fixing studs extending transversely from the body of said compressor, each transverse fixing stud being coaxial with a transverse fixing lug of the reducer.

[0015] The vehicle further comprises a support for the electric machine on the reducer side secured to the reducer side rail and fixed to each transverse fixing stud of the compressor by a transverse fixing screw.

[0016] The reducer is thus secured to the body of the compressor and the support on the reducer side, so as to hold the electric machine on said compressor on the reducer side.

[0017] The particular attachment interface of the compressor on the second support of the electric machine makes it possible to position the air conditioning compressor on the side of the reducer of said electric machine without degrading the vibration performance of said electric machine while benefiting from the spacing of the attachment points of the compressor on the reducer.

[0018] Furthermore, the air conditioning compressor acts as a support part for the electric machine on the reducer side.

[0019] Advantageously, the support of the electric machine on the reducer side comprises a support plate extending in the plane comprising the longitudinal axis and a vertical axis perpendicular to the longitudinal and transverse axes and three fixing end pieces each extending transversely from the support plate towards the electric machine, said support being fixed to the reducer via the compressor by three transverse fixing screws each extending through a fixing end piece of said support, a transverse fixing stud of the compressor and a transverse fixing lug of the reducer.

[0020] Thus, the number of screws for fixing the electric machine to the side member is reduced, which allows a saving in mass, a saving in assembly time and therefore an economic gain.

[0021] The number of fixing tips corresponds to the number of transverse fixing studs of the compressor and transverse fixing lugs of the reducer.

[0022] Advantageously, each transverse fixing stud of the compressor is coaxial with a transverse fixing lug of the reducer and a fixing end piece of the support of the electric machine on the side of the reducer.

[0023] For example, the support plate of the electric machine support on the reducer side comprises a vertical end secured to the side member by means of a screw vertical fixing.

[0024] The support of the electric machine on the reducer side is, for example, made of metallic material.

[0025] The fixing lugs of the reducer are, for example, regularly distributed around the perimeter of said reducer and form an angle of 120° with respect to each other.

[0026] Generally speaking, the arrangement of these fixing lugs is constrained by the compressor, in particular its volume and its wiring-pipe interfaces.

[0027] For example, two of the transverse mounting pads of the compressor extend transversely from an outer cylindrical surface of the compressor, preferably the upper surface and the lower surface, and one of the transverse mounting pads extends from a side surface of the compressor.

[0028] Advantageously, each transverse fixing stud of the compressor has a cylindrical shape comprising a bore configured to receive the end of a corresponding fixing lug of the reducer.

[0029] For example, the electric machine comprises a casing extending along the transverse axis and delimited transversely by a first end on the side opposite the reducer and a second end on the side of the reducer, said first end of the electric machine being fixed on a first support on the side of the suspension of the vehicle.

[0030] Other aims, characteristics and advantages of the invention will appear on reading the following description, given solely by way of non-limiting example, and made with reference to the appended drawings in which:

[0031] [Fig.l] illustrates very schematically a part of the engine compartment of a motor vehicle according to the invention;

[0032] [Fig.2] and [Fig.3] are detailed views of [Fig.l].

[0033] In the following description, the terms "longitudinal", "transverse", "vertical", "front", "rear", "left" and "right" are defined according to the usual orthogonal reference system for motor vehicles, shown in the drawings, and which includes:

[0034] - a longitudinal axis X, horizontal and oriented from the front to the rear of the vehicle;

[0035] - a transverse axis Y, horizontal, perpendicular to the longitudinal axis X and oriented from left to right of the vehicle when the vehicle is moving;

[0036] - a vertical axis Z, orthogonal to the longitudinal and transverse axes X and Y and directed from bottom up.

[0037] [Fig.l] illustrates an example of a front part 1 of an engine compartment M of a motor vehicle. The engine compartment M is closed by a hood (not shown) and is separated from the passenger compartment of the vehicle by a transverse wall or apron (not shown).

[0038] The motor vehicle comprises, in a known manner, a chassis configured to support all of the mechanical components and the bodywork of the vehicle. The chassis comprises two longitudinal side members 2 each extending along the longitudinal axis X and of which only one is visible in the figures, and a plurality of transverse cross members arranged between said side members 2.

[0039] The motor vehicle 1 further comprises an electrical machine 3 comprising a casing 3a, here cylindrical, extending along the transverse axis Y and delimited transversely by a first end 3b and a second end 3c.

[0040] The first end 3b of the electric machine 3 is fixed on a first support (not visible in the figures), on the side of the suspension 5 of the vehicle 1.

[0041] The second end 3c of the electric machine 3, from which extends a drive shaft (not visible in the figures) connected to a reducer 6 comprising transverse fixing lugs 6a, here three in number, extending along the transverse axis Y towards the side member 2, on the side opposite the electric machine 3.

[0042] The transverse fixing lugs 6a are regularly distributed around the circumference of the reducer 6 and form an angle of 120° with respect to each other.

[0043] The motor vehicle further comprises a compressor 10 of an air conditioning system (not shown) of the motor vehicle.

[0044] The compressor 10 comprises a substantially cylindrical body 10a extending along the longitudinal axis X, perpendicular to the electrical machine 3, delimited by two lateral faces, only one of which is visible in the figures, namely the front lateral face 10b.

[0045] The compressor 10 comprises transverse fixing studs 13, here three in number, two of which extend transversely from the external cylindrical surface 10a of the compressor, here the upper surface and the lower surface and a transverse fixing stud 13 extends from the front lateral surface 10b.

[0046] Each transverse fixing stud 13 has a cylindrical shape comprising a bore configured to receive the end of a corresponding fixing lug 6a of the reducer 6.

[0047] The vehicle further comprises a second support 7 of the electric machine 3 on the side of the reducer 6 comprising a support plate 7a extending in the XZ plane and fixing end pieces 7b, here three in number, each extending transversely from the support plate 7a towards the electric machine 3.

[0048] The second support 7 is also called the reducer side support.

[0049] The second support 7 is for example made of metallic material.

[0050] The support plate 7a comprises a vertical end secured to the side member 2 by means of a vertical fixing screw 15.

[0051] The second support 7 is fixed to the reducer 6 via the compressor 10 by three transverse fixing screws 14 each extending through a fixing end piece 7b of the second support 7, a transverse fixing stud 13 of the compressor 10 and a transverse fixing lug 6a of the reducer 6.

[0052] The number of fixing tips 7b corresponds to the number of transverse fixing studs 13 of the compressor 10 and transverse fixing lugs 6a of the reducer 6.

[0053] Thus, the number of screws for fixing the electrical machine 3 to the side member 2 is reduced, which allows a saving in mass, a saving in assembly time and therefore an economic gain.

[0054] Each transverse fixing stud 13 of the compressor 10 is coaxial with a transverse fixing lug 6a of the reducer 6 and a fixing end piece 7b of the second support 7.

[0055] The reducer 6 is thus secured to the body of the compressor 10 and to the second support 7, so as to hold the electrical machine 3 on said compressor 10 on the side of the reducer 6.

[0056] The particular attachment interface of the compressor on the second support of the electric machine makes it possible to position the air conditioning compressor on the side of the reducer of said electric machine without degrading the vibration performance of said electric machine while benefiting from the spacing of the attachment points of the compressor on the reducer.

[0057] Furthermore, the air conditioning compressor acts as a support part for the electric machine on the reducer side.
