Abstract
Description
Title of the invention: Motor vehicle comprising an electric machine, an air conditioning compressor forming a support for said electric machine
[0001] The present invention relates to the field of motor vehicles and in particular the fixing of a compressor in a vehicle comprising at least one electrical machine.
[0002] The compressor is preferably an air conditioning compressor of an air conditioning system.
[0003] The motor vehicle may be a thermally powered thermal and electric vehicle, being a hybrid vehicle, the electric machine ensuring at least partial propulsion of the vehicle. The motor vehicle may also be a vehicle with only electric propulsion.
[0004] Today, the compressors of the air conditioning system of the motor vehicle are fixed on the electric machine, which makes it possible to take advantage of the latter's filtration. The electric machine is then connected to a support crossmember by two suspension pieces, each located at an opposite end of the electric machine.
[0005] The electric machine is also fixed to the vehicle body by a second support on the side of the reducer of said electric machine.
[0006] The size of electric compressors called "e-compressors" no longer allows their integration into engines. Indeed, such compressors require a need for more efficient filtration.
[0007] Furthermore, the second support requires having sufficiently spaced fixing points on the reducer of the electric machine in order to ensure sufficient holding stiffness as well as a good vibration level.
[0008] Fixing an e-compressor on the reducer side of the electric machine causes interference with the second support of the electric machine.
[0009] There is therefore a need to improve the fixing of new air conditioning compressors in a motor vehicle comprising at least one electrical machine.
[0010] An objective of the invention is to propose a fixing for an air conditioning compressor, while reducing the size of the support on the side of the reducer of the electric machine.
[0011] The present invention relates to a motor vehicle comprising at least one electrical machine extending along a transverse axis between two longitudinal side members, said electrical machine comprising a drive shaft secured to a reducer.
[0012] The motor vehicle further comprises a compressor of an air conditioning system extending along a longitudinal axis perpendicular to the transverse axis.
[0013] The compressor comprises a fixing sleeve extending vertically from an external cylindrical surface of the compressor towards the spar on the reducer side and forming a support for the electric machine on the reducer side.
[0014] The integration of the fixing sleeve into the compressor body allows a gain in overall volume, mass, as well as reduced assembly cost and time.
[0015] Advantageously, the fixing sleeve comprises a distal end secured to the spar on the reduction side.
[0016] For example, the distal end is secured to a connecting member by screw means, for example a vertical screw, itself secured to the spar on the reduction side.
[0017] Advantageously, the fixing sleeve further comprises a proximal end secured to the external cylindrical surface of the compressor.
[0018] By "proximal end" is meant an end closer to the cylindrical body of the compressor than the "distal end".
[0019] The proximal end of the fixing sleeve is preferably in shape conforming to the external cylindrical surface of the compressor.
[0020] Advantageously, the fixing sleeve is made in one piece with the body of the compressor.
[0021] The fixing sleeve is for example made of metallic material.
[0022] Alternatively, it could be provided to overmould the fixing sleeve onto the body of the compressor.
[0023] Advantageously, the reducer comprises three transverse fixing lugs extending along the transverse axis towards the side member on the side opposite the electric machine.
[0024] For example, the fixing lugs of the reducer are regularly distributed around the perimeter of said reducer.
[0025] Advantageously, the compressor further comprises at least three transverse fixing studs extending transversely from the body of the compressor and each configured to cooperate with a fixing lug of the reducer for fixing said reducer to the compressor.
[0026] The particular attachment interface of the compressor on the reducer makes it possible to position the air conditioning compressor on the reducer side of said electric machine without degrading the vibration performance of said electric machine while benefiting from the spacing of the attachment points of the compressor on the reducer.
[0027] For example, two of the transverse mounting studs of the compressor extend transversely from the outer cylindrical surface of the compressor, preferably the upper surface and the lower surface and one of the transverse fixing pads extends from a side surface of the compressor.
[0028] Advantageously, each transverse fixing stud of the compressor has a cylindrical shape comprising a bore configured to receive the end of a corresponding fixing lug of the reducer, said fixing lugs of the reducer are made integral with an associated transverse fixing stud of the compressor by means of screw means, for example a transverse fixing screw.
[0029] For example, the electric machine comprises a casing extending along the transverse axis and delimited transversely by a first end on the side opposite the reducer and a second end on the side of the reducer, said first end of the electric machine being fixed on a first support on the side of the suspension of the vehicle.
[0030] Other aims, characteristics and advantages of the invention will appear on reading the following description, given solely by way of non-limiting example, and made with reference to the appended drawings in which:
[0031] [Fig.l] illustrates very schematically a part of the engine compartment of a motor vehicle according to the invention;
[0032] [Fig.2] and [Fig.3] are detailed views of [Fig.l].
[0033] In the following description, the terms "longitudinal", "transverse", "vertical", "front", "rear", "left" and "right" are defined according to the usual orthogonal reference system for motor vehicles, shown in the drawings, and which includes:
[0034] - a longitudinal axis X, horizontal and oriented from the front to the rear of the vehicle;
[0035] - a transverse axis Y, horizontal, perpendicular to the longitudinal axis X and oriented from left to right of the vehicle when the vehicle is moving;
[0036] - a vertical axis Z, orthogonal to the longitudinal and transverse axes X and Y and directed from bottom up.
[0037] [Fig.l] illustrates an example of a front part 1 of an engine compartment M of a motor vehicle. The engine compartment M is closed by a hood (not shown) and is separated from the passenger compartment of the vehicle by a transverse wall or apron (not shown).
[0038] The motor vehicle comprises, in a known manner, a chassis configured to support all of the mechanical components and the bodywork of the vehicle. The chassis comprises two longitudinal side members 2 each extending along the longitudinal axis X and only one of which is visible in FIGS. 1 and 2, and a plurality of transverse cross members arranged between said side members 2.
[0039] The motor vehicle 1 further comprises an electrical machine 3 comprising a casing 3a, here cylindrical, extending along the transverse axis Y and delimited transversely by a first end 3b and a second end 3c.
[0040] The first end 3b of the electric machine 3 is fixed on a first support 4, on the side of the suspension 5 of the vehicle 1.
[0041] The second end 3c of the electric machine 3, from which extends a drive shaft (not visible in the figures) connected to a reducer 6 comprising transverse fixing lugs 6a, here three in number, extending along the transverse axis Y towards the side member 2, on the side opposite the electric machine 3.
[0042] The transverse fixing lugs 6a are regularly distributed around the circumference of the reducer 6 and here form an angle of 120° with respect to each other.
[0043] The motor vehicle further comprises a compressor 10 of an air conditioning system (not shown) of the motor vehicle.
[0044] The compressor 10 comprises a substantially cylindrical body 10a extending along the longitudinal axis X, perpendicular to the electrical machine 3.
[0045] The compressor 10 comprises a fixing sleeve 7 forming a second support for the electric machine on the side of the reducer 6.
[0046] The fixing sleeve 7 extends vertically from the external cylindrical surface 10a of the compressor towards the spar 2 on the reducer side.
[0047] The fixing sleeve 7 comprises a distal end 7a secured to the spar 2 on the reduction side 6 by means of a connecting member 16 or buffer itself secured to the spar 2.
[0048] The distal end 7a of the sleeve 7 is fixed to the connecting member 16 by screw means, for example a vertical fixing screw 15.
[0049] The sleeve 7 further comprises a proximal end 7b secured to the external cylindrical surface 10a of the compressor 10.
[0050] The proximal end 7b of the fixing sleeve 7 is in shape matching the external cylindrical surface 10a of the compressor 10.
[0051] The fixing sleeve 7 is made in one piece with the body of the compressor 10.
[0052] The compressor 10 further comprises transverse fixing studs 13, here, at number of three, two of which extend transversely from the external cylindrical surface 10a of the compressor, here the upper surface and the lower surface and a transverse fixing stud 13 extends from a lateral surface 10b.
[0053] Each transverse fixing stud 13 has a cylindrical shape comprising a bore configured to receive the end of a corresponding fixing lug 6a of the reducer 6. A fixing lug 6a of the reducer 6 is made integral with an associated transverse fixing stud 13 by means of screw means 14, in particular a transverse fixing screw.
[0054] The reducer 6 is thus integral with the body of the compressor 10, so as to maintain the electrical machine 3 on said compressor 10 on the side of the reducer 6.
[0055] The particular attachment interface of the compressor on the reducer makes it possible to position the air conditioning compressor on the reducer side of said electric machine without degrading the vibration performance of said electric machine while benefiting from the spacing of the attachment points of the compressor on the reducer.
[0056] Furthermore, the air conditioning compressor acts as a support part for the electric machine on the reducer side.
