[0001] The object of the utility model is a piece of furniture with a display stand intended for use in bedrooms, apartments, offices, with easy access to the object on display.
[0002] Display stands of all types are known and widely used. They consist of a system of parallel shelves located one above the other, the rear walls of which are inclined backwards in their upper part - towards the inside of the display stand, with a stop / threshold supporting the object displayed.
[0003] Furniture that uses display elements in its construction is also known. However, the disadvantage of these solutions is that the displays themselves are not necessary elements for furnishing an office or a room - they do not have closed cupboards, shelves or other characteristic elements of a piece of furniture, while the displays placed in furniture elements have partially limited access, because they are limited by the cubic shape of the furniture itself - they are surrounded by side walls or a work surface, which only allows access to the item placed on the display from the front, or requires access to the flat surface of the furniture in the case where the display is placed on top of the furniture.
[0004] The aim of the invention is therefore to develop a piece of furniture in which access to the object placed on the display stand is facilitated and which retains all its other functional characteristics.
[0005] The principle of a piece of furniture with a display unit, that is to say a block composed of cupboards, niches and shelves and a concealing worktop, is that the worktop located above the display unit, in the upper part of the central block of the furniture, has a niche, which preferably has a trapezoidal shape with rounded corners.
[0006] The proposed solution, thanks to the use of a niche in the upper surface of the unit, considerably facilitates access to objects placed on the display stand, such as a remote control, a game controller, or a book. When removing an object from the unit, there is no risk of the object hitting the upper surface of the unit—the worktop—and the placement of the display stand in the upper central section allows for full use of the space beneath the stand and on both sides, which has not significantly altered the ease of use of the unit itself. Furthermore, the niche used in the upper surface of the unit, which constitutes its worktop, has proven to be so negligible compared to the overall surface area that it has not negatively impacted the ease of use of the unit.
[0007] The object of the model is represented in the figure, where [Fig.1] shows an example of furniture containing a display stand in an upward perspective view and [Fig.2] shows the same example of furniture containing a display stand in a side perspective view.
[0008] The furniture according to the model consists of a rectangular parallelepiped 1 divided into three parts: a central part 2 comprising a lockable cupboard 3 and an oblong display stand 4 placed above it, the rear wall 5 of which is inclined at an acute angle towards the interior of the furniture, while in the front part there is a retaining strip 6 to protect the objects placed on the display stand from falling; on both sides of the central part 2 there are left 7 and right 8 furniture wings which are niches that can be divided into additional segments by means of shelves 9. The three central parts 2, left 7, and right 8 are concealed by the worktop 10 which, directly above the display stand 4, has a niche 11 extending across the width of this display stand. It is advantageous for this niche to be rectangular or trapezoidal with rounded corners.
[0009] It goes without saying that the central 2, left 7 and right 8 parts of the furniture can be covered with additional doors or be open elements without doors.

2. The furniture according to claim 1 is characterized by the fact that the niche (11) has a trapezoidal shape with rounded corners.
