Abstract
Description
Title of the invention: Vehicle seat cover with a pocket
[0001] The present invention relates to the field of vehicle seat covers and more particularly to the field of covers incorporating storage such as purse pockets positioned on the back of vehicle seats.
[0002] It is common to equip vehicles with various easily accessible storage spaces in the passenger compartment, including the pocket pockets. These pocket pockets are placed at the rear surface of the backs of some of the vehicle's seats so that the interior volume of the pocket is defined by, on the one hand, a part of the seat back and, on the other hand, a textile or net attached to the seat back and arranged in a plane parallel to this back. The opening for accessing the interior volume of the pocket then corresponds to the upper edge of the textile or net.
[0003] Due to their configurations pressed against the rear surface of the backrests, the alms pockets are perfectly suited for storing thin items such as road maps, files or books. However, it may happen that an item with a more bulky volume such as a bottle of water is inserted inside the pocket. When inserting such an item, the part of the pocket formed by the surface of the backrest of the seat being rigid, it does not support any deformation. Only the part formed by the textile or the net attached against the backrest of the seat is then deformed under the effect of the volume and weight of the item.Under these conditions, the presence of a bulky object in the pocket for a certain period of time leads to significant stress on the fabric or mesh of the pocket and a loosening of its upper edge, which is then likely to present difficulties in returning to rest against the surface of the seat back. With the loosening of the pocket opening, the formation of a gap between the upper edge of the pocket and the seat back is then likely to alter the perception of the quality of the finish of the vehicle interior.
[0004] The present invention aims to overcome these drawbacks by proposing in particular a solution which makes it possible to limit the loosening of the opening of the pocket over time while maintaining a qualitative rendering over time to the finish of the passenger compartment of the vehicle.
[0005] The invention thus relates to a cover for a vehicle seat comprising a backrest configured to cover the rear face of the seat, the cover comprising a pocket on its backrest, this pocket comprising an external wall of the type

[0011] net or textile assembled along its peripheral edges to the backrest so as to define a storage volume between the external wall and the backrest, the upper edge of the external wall being separated from the backrest so as to form an access orifice to the storage volume of the purse pocket, characterized in that the cover also comprises a mechanism for reinforcing the purse pocket which comprises: - a reinforcing element arranged along the length of the upper edge of the external wall, - a pair of connecting elements, each comprising, on the one hand, a fixing interface which cooperates with one end of the reinforcing element and, on the other hand, a fixing interface intended to cooperate with a respective portion of a structural element of the seat intended to receive the cover, the cover also comprising, at the level of the portion of the backrest positioned opposite the external wall, a pair of orifices passing through the thickness of the cover and positioned at each of the ends of the upper edge of the external wall, each of these orifices being crossed by the reinforcing element and / or the connection element. The invention also relates to a method of lining a vehicle seat with a cover according to the invention, characterized in that the method comprises: - a step of wrapping the seat structure with padding, - a step of mounting each fixing interface of the reinforcement mechanism on a structural element of the seat, - a step of closing the cover by moving the “Zipper” ® cursor. The invention will be better understood from the following description, which relates to preferred embodiments, given by way of non-limiting example, and explained with reference to the appended schematic drawings, in which: [Fig.l] represents a schematic illustration from the rear of a seat of an example of a cover according to the invention dressed on a seat, the cover incorporating a pocket with a reinforcement mechanism in the presence of an object. [Fig.2] represents a schematic illustration of different elements of an example of a pocket of a headdress according to the invention. [Fig.3] represents a schematic illustration of the top of the back of a headdress according to the invention incorporating a pocket for holding an object. The present invention relates to a cover for a vehicle seat comprising a backrest 2 configured to cover the rear face of the seat, the cover comprising a pocket 1 on its backrest 2, this pocket 1 comprising an external wall 11 of the net or textile type assembled along its peripheral edges 111 to the backrest 2 so as to define a storage volume between the external wall 11 and the backrest 2, the upper edge 112 of the external wall 11 being separated from the backrest 2 so as to form an access orifice to the storage volume of the purse pocket, characterized in that the cover also comprises a mechanism for reinforcing the purse pocket 1 which comprises: - a reinforcing element 3 arranged along the length of the upper edge 112 of the external wall 11, - a pair of connection elements 4, each comprising, on the one hand, a junction interface 43 which cooperates with one end 34 of the reinforcing element 3 and, on the other hand, a fixing interface 42 intended to cooperate with a respective portion of a structural element 21 of the seat intended to receive the cover, the cover also comprising, at the level of the portion of the backrest 2 positioned opposite the external wall 11, a pair of orifices 13 passing through the thickness of the cover and positioned at each of the ends of the upper edge 112 of the external wall 11, each of these orifices 13 being crossed by the reinforcing element 3 and / or the connection element 4.
[0012] According to an example relating to a construction variant of the reinforcement mechanism of the cap, at least one of the reinforcement elements 3 and / or connection 4 has elastic properties along the axis of the upper edge 112 of the external wall 11.
[0013] The reinforcing mechanism of the cover according to the invention is thus constructed to be positioned at the level of the access orifice to the storage volume so as, on the one hand, to allow easy opening of this orifice by pulling on the upper edge 112 of the external wall 11 to move it away from the backrest 2 and, on the other hand, to allow the closing of this orifice by pressing the upper edge 112 of the external wall 11 against the backrest 2 thanks to the elastic properties of the reinforcing 3 and / or connecting 4 elements and their cooperation, direct or indirect, with the structural element 21 of the seat. The structural element 21 of the seat is capable of corresponding to at least part of the frame. Indeed, such direct cooperation with the structural element 21 of the seat allows the production of a reinforcing mechanism anchored to a rigid structure and not simply with a more flexible structure such as a covering which forms the surface of the seat. The cooperation of the elastic properties of the reinforcing elements 3 and / or connection 4 with an anchoring to the structural element 21 of the seat thus optimizes the plating and retention over time of the upper edge 112 of the external wall 11 against the surface of the backrest 2.
[0014] According to different construction examples, the elastic properties of the reinforcement mechanism of the cap are distributed between the different elements 3, 4 which form the assembly bringing together the reinforcement 3 and connection 4 elements. By way of example, the presence of elastic materials at the level of the connection elements 4 alone allows the production of a mechanism with a rigid reinforcing element 3 so that the upper edge 112 of the external wall 11 can be moved away from the backrest 2 over its entire length with limited deformation, for example in bending, or even without deformation. As an alternative example, the production of a mechanism with a flexible, deformable but non-elastic reinforcing element 3 makes it possible to obtain an upper edge 112 of the external wall 11 which is able to adapt to the surface of a possible object positioned through the access orifice to the storage volume by matching at least part of its surface. Also as an alternative example, the presence of elastic materials at the level of the reinforcement elements 3 alone, or even preferentially at the level of all the reinforcement elements 3 and connection 4, allows the production of a mechanism in which elastic means are distributed and spread out along a greater length so as to optimize the capacity of the upper edge 112 of the external wall 11, on the one hand, to withstand deformation during the insertion of an object through the access orifice to the storage volume and, on the other hand, to return to the pressed position in abutment against the surface of the backrest 2.
[0015] According to an example relating to another variant of construction of the reinforcement mechanism of the cover, the upper edge 112 of the external wall 11 being produced by a hem 1121 of the material of the external wall 11, the majority of the length of the reinforcement element 3 is arranged in the thickness of the hem 1121. The integration of the reinforcement element 3 inside a hem 1121 allows the positioning of this reinforcement element 3 inside the external wall 11 so that, on the one hand, the reinforcement element 3 is hidden and is invisible from the passenger compartment of the vehicle and, on the other hand, the inner surface of the hem 1121 produces a contact surface with the reinforcement element 3 to allow the upper edge 112 of the external wall 11 to be retained and pressed against the backrest 2.The hem 1121 of the external wall 11 is thus used as a sheath inside which the reinforcing element 3 is capable of moving, by sliding or stretching relative to the external wall 11.
[0016] According to an example relating to a specific variant of the previously detailed construction variant, the hem 1121 of the material of the external wall 11 comprises at least one orifice 1122 for the passage of the reinforcing element 3 oriented towards the inside of the backrest 2. The particular orientation of the orifice 1122 of the hem 1121 so that it faces the backrest 2, makes it possible, at the ends of the upper edge 112 of the external wall 11, that is to say at the ends of the orifice for access to the storage volume, to mask the presence of a reinforcing element 3 inside the hem 1121. By being oriented towards the backrest 2, the orifice 1122 of the hem 1121 is arranged to be preferentially positioned opposite orifices 13 passing through the thickness of the cover so that the reinforcing element 3 crosses the surface of the backrest 2 of the cover to access the structural element 21 located deep under the seat padding.
[0017] According to an example relating to another specific variant of the previously detailed construction variant, the hem 1121 is capable of adopting the form of several loops arranged in particular facing the backrest 2 and spaced apart from each other. These loops being positioned facing the backrest 2, they remain masked by the surface of the hem 1121 and invisible from the passenger compartment of the vehicle.
[0018] According to another example relating to a construction variant of the reinforcing mechanism of the cover, the reinforcing element 3 is produced in the form of a strip. For example, this strip is likely to be produced by a flexible strap or by a substantially rigid blade. Such an arrangement makes it possible to apply a pressing of the upper edge 112 of the external wall 11 over a height of this edge widened to the width of the strip of the reinforcing element 3. By exerting tension over a greater width, the pressing of the upper edge 112 of the external wall 11 against the backrest 2 of the seat is then improved. Similarly, when elastic means are distributed over the entire width of the strip of the reinforcing element 3, the reinforcing element 3 has greater resistance over time.
[0019] According to an example relating to another construction variant of the reinforcing mechanism of the cover, each attachment interface 42 to the structural element 21 has a clip-on arrangement of concave shape complementary in section with a vertical portion of the structural element 21 of the seat. A vertical portion of the structural element 21 provides a particularly relevant anchoring point for blocking the horizontal translational movement of the connection element 4. The cooperation of the connection element 4 with the structural element 21 of the seat notably allows anchoring of the connection element 4 to the seat. According to a specific construction variant of the structural element 21 of the seat, the latter has, in a horizontal plane, at least one portion arranged along an axis substantially oriented, or even aligned, with the tension axis of the reinforcing element 3 of the reinforcing mechanism of the cover. This portion of the structural element 21 of the seat is thus oriented transversely relative to the main axis of the vehicle intended to receive the seat.
[0020] According to an example relating to another construction variant of the reinforcement mechanism of the cover, the attachment interface 42 of a connection element 4 to the structural element 21 positioned at a first end 34 of the reinforcement element 3 comprises at least one hook having a concavity oriented towards the homologous connection element 4 positioned at the second end 34 of the reinforcement element 3. This hook is also capable of corresponding to a pinching interface of a portion of the structural element 21 of the backrest. Similarly, the hook of the attachment interface 42 is also capable of corresponding to a ring portion. This hook of the fixing interface 42 has an opening and an arrangement of shape substantially complementary to the structural element 21 of the seat or to a specifically dedicated portion of the structural element 21 of the seat. This specifically dedicated portion of the structural element 21 is likely to take the form of a hook, a ring or even a ring portion of complementary shape and adapted to the hook carried by the fixing interface 42 of the connection element 4.
[0021] According to an example relating to another construction variant of the reinforcement mechanism of the cap, the attachment interface 42 to the structural element 21 of at least one connection element 4 comprises a means for clipping the connection element 4. By way of example, this clipping involving the connection element 4 is likely to correspond to a carabiner type mechanism or, alternatively, to a mechanism which has a male-female type of shape cooperation between two parts integrating spring elements for locking these two parts together, for example by pinching a first of the two parts with the second of the two parts.
[0022] According to an example relating to a construction variant, the cooperation of the fixing interface 42 with the structural element 21 of a seat involves a fixing portion of the frame whose section is not round. This arrangement of the portion of the structural element 21 corresponds for example to a section of oval or ovoid shape or even tapered like a drop or an airplane wing, or even to a section comprising an angular edge. The fixing interface 42 cooperates with the portion of the structural element 21 by at least partially surrounding, or even pinching, the corresponding portion of the structural element 21. This cooperation of the fixing interface 42 with the structural element 21 is thus achieved so that the connection element 4 is not able to pivot around the axis of the portion of the structural element 21.
[0023] According to an example relating to another construction variant of the reinforcement mechanism of the cap, the junction interface 43 between the connection element 4, each comprising, on the one hand, a junction interface 43 which cooperates with an end 34 of the reinforcement element 3, involves a junction obtained by extrusion of the connection element 4 with the reinforcement element 3. According to alternative embodiments, this junction interface 43 involves sewing and / or gluing.
[0024] According to an example relating to another construction variant of the reinforcing mechanism of the cap, the assembly combining the reinforcing element 3 with the pair of connecting elements 4 comprises a means for adjusting the length of the assembly between the two respective fixing points of the connecting elements 4 on the structural element 21 of the seat. This adjustment means is produced in the form of a mechanism for adjusting the length of the reinforcing element 3, making it possible in particular to shorten the length of the reinforcing element 3 in order to control the elastic tension of the mechanism of the invention. Also, in the event of the elastic tension of the mechanism of the invention being released over time, the adjustment means makes it possible to reduce the length of the reinforcing element 3 so that the tension is adapted. As an example of implementation, this adjustment means is positioned at the junction interface 43 of a connection element 4 which interacts with the reinforcing element 3. This adjustment means is also capable of being carried by the junction interface 43 of the connection element 4, taking, for example, the form of a strap loop adjustment mechanism.
[0025] According to an example relating to another construction variant of the reinforcement mechanism of the cover, the cover also comprises at least one “Zipper” ®, visible or invisible, at least a portion of which is positioned along a lateral edge of the external wall 11. According to this construction example, one of the strips of the “Zipper” ® runs along the lateral edge of the external wall 11 of the pocket 1. This “Zipper” ® is arranged at a portion of the cover so as to allow at least two sections of the cover to be separated to facilitate its installation and its covering on the structure of the seat covered with padding. When the cover is positioned on the seat, or even when the fixing interface 42 of the reinforcement mechanism of the pocket 1 is attached to a structural element 21 of the seat, the sections of the cover are able to be brought together and the cover closed to envelop the seat. The positioning of a “Zipper” ® along a lateral edge of the external wall 11 of the purse pocket 1, in addition to having a possible aesthetic interest, makes it possible to position the separation between two sections of the cover at or near the attachment zone of the attachment interface 42 to the structural element 21 of the seat. Also, the cover is able to be essentially positioned on the padding of the seat according to a final arrangement to allow the mounting of the attachment interface 42 to the structural element 21 of the seat, before completely closing the cover on the seat by moving the slider of the “Zipper” ® which joins the two sections.
[0026] According to an example relating to a specific variant of the previously detailed construction variant, the cap comprises two “Zippers” ®, visible or invisible, respectively comprising at least one portion positioned along each of the lateral edges of the external wall 11. According to this specific construction variant, the “Zippers” ® comprise a strip of the respective “Zipper” ® which runs along the lateral edge of the external wall 11 of the purse pocket 1. According to a preferred arrangement, the “Zippers” ® are oriented parallel to each other on either side of the lateral edges of the external wall 11 of the alms pocket 1.
[0027] The invention also relates to a method of lining a vehicle seat with a cover according to the invention, characterized in that the method comprises: - a step of wrapping the seat structure with padding, - a step of mounting each fixing interface 42 of the reinforcement mechanism on a structural element 21 of the seat, - a step of closing the cover by moving the “Zipper” ® cursor.
[0028] Of course, the invention is not limited to the embodiments described and shown in the attached drawings. Modifications remain possible, in particular from the point of view of the constitution of the various elements or by substitution of technical equivalents, without departing from the scope of protection of the invention.
