Description

Title of the invention: Control of the display of a low-emission zone in augmented reality on a motor vehicle screen

[0001] The present invention belongs to the field of on-board navigation systems for motor vehicles.

[0002] The term “vehicle” means any type of vehicle such as a private, utility or heavy goods vehicle.

[0003] A navigation system makes it possible to display navigation information on a graphical interface in relation to a current position of the vehicle, which makes it easier for the driver to control the vehicle.

[0004] It is known to display such navigation information in the form of a two-dimensional map representing the surroundings of the vehicle, seen from the sky, the map identifying the different roads, as well as contextual elements relevant to navigation. The road on which the vehicle is traveling, called the current route, can be highlighted in the navigation information, in order to facilitate the driver's location in the displayed two-dimensional map.

[0005] In a guidance mode, the navigation information may further indicate a route, via at least one road, to reach a destination that has been previously indicated by the driver. The route may be indicated by highlighting the road, or road sections, to reach the destination. In addition, the navigation information may include directional elements indicating directions to take in order to follow the route. For example, a right arrow may be displayed in connection with a given distance value, to indicate turning right at the given distance from the current position, to reach the next road section of the route.

[0006] In an unguided mode, the current position of the vehicle is simply located in the two-dimensional map, the current road possibly being highlighted to differentiate it from other roads.

[0007] It is now possible to display navigation information, no longer in the form of two-dimensional mapping, but by a display of the scene facing the vehicle in augmented reality, in which navigation information is added to a scene acquired in real time by a camera of the vehicle, the camera being oriented towards the front of the vehicle in a direction of travel.

[0008] However, such an augmented reality navigation interface only allows the display of directional arrows added to the scene filmed by the camera, when the guidance mode is activated.

[0009] The regulations of certain countries delimit geographical areas, in which the driving rules differ from other geographical areas and / or which are only accessible to certain types of motor vehicles and / or at certain time slots.

[0010] This is particularly the case for low-emission zones: in such zones, certain older vehicles cannot circulate, particularly when their engines do not comply with certain greenhouse gas and / or fine particle emission thresholds, and / or specific speed limits may be imposed and / or traffic may be regulated during certain time slots.

[0011] Some navigation systems provide for identifying such low-emission zones on a two-dimensional map. Such a two-dimensional map thus represents the surroundings of the vehicle, in particular the roads and other contextual elements, the current position of the vehicle as well as the low-emission zone(s), which can be indicated as an area of a given color in the displayed map.

[0012] The driver can thus generally locate the low-emission zone compared to the current position of the vehicle and can thus adapt the vehicle's route depending on whether or not he wishes to enter the low-emission zone, or whether or not he wishes to remain inside the low-emission zone.

[0013] However, such a navigation system lacks precision in that it is complex for the driver to know whether he is indeed outside or inside a low-emission zone. In particular, certain sections of road may be tangent to such a low-emission zone, which makes it complex to evaluate the current position of the vehicle relative to the low-emission zone.

[0014] Another solution used in an existing navigation system consists of displaying a pop-up window, also called a "pop-up" window, when the vehicle enters a low-emission zone or leaves a low-emission zone.

[0015] Such a pop-up window, however, has the effect of disturbing the user, in particular because such a pop-up window may hide other relevant navigation information on the graphical interface and / or because the user must then make a user input, such as a touch input, to close the pop-up window, which disrupts the driving of the vehicle.

[0016] There is therefore a need to improve navigation systems to allow the addition of new navigation information, in particular the addition of navigation information relating to one or more low emission zones, without cluttering the graphical interface on which the navigation information is displayed.

[0017] The present invention improves the situation.

[0018] To this end, a first aspect of the invention relates to a method for controlling a graphical interface displayed on a screen of a motor vehicle, comprising the following steps: - obtaining cartographic data identifying at least one low emission zone; - obtaining a current position of the vehicle; - obtaining at least one image from an image acquisition device of the motor vehicle capable of acquiring images representative of a scene facing the vehicle; - determination, from the current position of the vehicle and the cartographic data, of the presence or absence of a border of said at least one low emission zone in a field of vision of the image acquisition device; - in the event of the presence of said border in the field of vision of the image acquisition device, displaying a graphical interface on said screen comprising said at least one image acquired by the image acquisition device and at least one piece of navigation information relating to the border of said at least one low-emission zone, said at least one piece of navigation information comprising at least one graphical element positioned in said at least one image as a function of the current position of the vehicle and a position of said border.

[0019] Thus, the invention allows the driver to view a virtual border of a low-emission zone in an image representative of the scene facing the vehicle displayed on a screen, in accordance with the principles of augmented reality. The navigation information comprises a graphic element positioned in the image at a position corresponding to the position of the border in the map data. Thus, the navigation information does not require any interaction with the user and does not clutter the displayed graphical interface, since it is integrated into the image.

[0020] According to embodiments, said at least one image may be a video frame, video frames are obtained at a given frequency from the image acquisition device, and, in the event of the presence of said boundary in the field of vision of the image acquisition device, the method may comprise determining the position of said at least one graphic element in each video frame as a function of the current position of the vehicle for said video frame and a position of said boundary, and the method may comprise displaying the graphic interface successively comprising, for each video frame, said video frame and said at least one graphic element positioned in the video frame.

[0021] Thus, the graphical interface allows the integration of navigation information representative of the border of the low-emission zone into a video displayed on the screen. The driver can thus follow in real time the evolution of the current position of the vehicle in relation to the border of the low-emission zone, which improves the vehicle's driving assistance.

[0022] According to embodiments, said at least one graphic element can be displayed in said at least one image in a vertical plane normal to a road on which the vehicle is traveling and a position of which corresponds to the position of the border of the low-emission zone, so as to materialize in augmented reality an entry or an exit from the low-emission zone in said at least one image on the graphical interface.

[0023] Thus, the border can be materialized in augmented reality in said image, in the form of a vertical plane, which facilitates the identification by the driver of the position of the border in relation to the current position of the vehicle.

[0024] In addition, said at least one graphic element may comprise a virtual gantry integrated into said at least one image in the graphic interface displayed on the screen, so as to rise above at least one traffic lane of the road on which the vehicle is traveling.

[0025] Thus, the navigation information takes the form of a road infrastructure element integrated into the image, which prevents any surprise effect for the driver and reinforces the safety associated with driving the vehicle and taking into account the border of the low-emission zone.

[0026] According to embodiments, if the current position of the vehicle is outside said low emission zone, the navigation information displayed in the graphical interface may comprise at least a first graphical element representing an entry into the low emission zone; and, if the current position of the vehicle is inside said low emission zone, the navigation information displayed in the graphical interface may comprise at least a second graphical element representing an exit into the low emission zone.

[0027] Thus, the driver can easily differentiate between entering and leaving the low-emission zone, allowing him to determine whether he is currently inside the zone or outside the zone. The navigation information communicated to the driver is thus enriched without cluttering the graphical interface.

[0028] In addition, said at least one first graphic element may comprise said virtual gantry and at least one panel comprising a first pattern for entering the low-emission zone, and said at least one second graphic element may comprise said virtual gantry and at least one panel comprising a second pattern for exiting the low-emission zone, different from the first pattern.

[0029] Thus, the navigation information takes the form of a road infrastructure element integrated into the image and differentiated according to whether it is an entrance or a exit from the low emission zone.

[0030] According to embodiments, the method may further comprise displaying on said at least one image in the graphical interface, at least one directional graphical element indicating a route to a destination indicated by a driver of the vehicle, said directional graphical element being positioned in said at least one image so as to be placed in front of the vehicle on a current travel lane of the vehicle.

[0031] Thus, the display of the border of the low emission zone is compatible with a guidance mode and does not hide the guidance information, the directional graphic elements and the graphic elements representative of the border being able to be at distinct positions in the image displayed on the graphical interface.

[0032] According to embodiments, in the absence of a low-emission zone boundary in the field of vision of the camera, the method may comprise displaying a graphical interface on the screen comprising said at least one image.

[0033] This allows for continuity in the display of the graphical interface, between the periods of presence and absence of a low-emission zone boundary in the field of vision of the image acquisition device.

[0034] A second aspect of the invention relates to a computer program comprising instructions for implementing the method according to the first aspect of the invention, when these instructions are executed by a processor.

[0035] A third aspect of the invention relates to a device for controlling a graphical interface displayed on a screen of a motor vehicle, comprising: - a first interface capable of obtaining cartographic data identifying at least one low emission zone; - a second interface capable of obtaining a current position of the vehicle; - a third interface capable of obtaining at least one image from an image acquisition device of the motor vehicle capable of acquiring images representative of a scene facing the vehicle; - a processor configured to determine, from the current position of the vehicle and the map data, a presence or absence of a border of said at least one low-emission zone in a field of vision of the image acquisition device, and configured to, in the event of the presence of said border in the field of vision of the image acquisition device, display a graphical interface on said screen, via a fourth interface, the graphical interface comprising said at least one image acquired by the image acquisition device and at least one navigation information relating to the border of said at least one low-emission zone, said at least one navigation information comprising at least at least one graphic element positioned in said at least one image as a function of the current position of the vehicle and a position of said border.

[0036] Other characteristics and advantages of the invention will appear on examining the detailed description below, and the appended drawings in which:

[0037] [Fig-1] illustrates a motor vehicle according to embodiments of the invention;

[0038] [Fig.2] is a diagram illustrating the steps of a process according to rea modes lization of the invention;

[0039] [Fig.3a] illustrates the display of navigation information in augmented reality according to embodiments of the invention, in a first driving situation;

[0040] [Fig.3b] illustrates the display of navigation information in augmented reality according to embodiments of the invention, in a second driving situation;

[0041] [Fig.4] illustrates a control device according to embodiments of the invention.

[0042] [Fig.l] illustrates a motor vehicle 100, according to embodiments of the invention.

[0043] The vehicle 100 comprises in particular a control device 101, which may be a centralized control device in charge of a plurality of functions of the motor vehicle. The control device 101 may be of the ECU type in particular, for “Electronic Control Unit” in English.

[0044] The control device 101 is at least capable of performing a function of controlling the display of navigation information in a graphical interface on a screen 103 of the vehicle.

[0045] The control device 101 and the screen 103 thus form an on-board navigation system of the vehicle 100.

[0046] The screen 103 may be touch-sensitive or not, and is capable of displaying a graphical interface comprising navigation information described below. The screen may be installed inside the passenger compartment of the vehicle, in particular at the front, for example in a central position between the driver and the front passenger. No restriction is attached to the technology associated with the screen 103 according to the invention.

[0047] According to the invention, the on-board navigation system is capable of displaying a graphical interface in augmented reality on the screen. For this purpose, the vehicle 100 further comprises an image acquisition device 102 oriented towards the outside of the vehicle, and positioned so as to acquire real-time images representative of a scene facing the vehicle, in a direction of travel of the vehicle, i.e. in front of the vehicle.

[0048] The image acquisition device 102 may be a camera capable of acquiring several video frames per second, and preferably several tens of video frames per second, in order to obtain a real-time video representative of the scene facing the vehicle 100.

[0049] The frames of the video can be transmitted in real time to the control device 101, for real-time display in at least part of the graphical interface of the screen 103. In addition to the video frames of the scene facing the vehicle, the control device 101 superimposes navigation information in the form of graphical elements integrated into each of the video frames. According to the invention, in certain situations, at least one of the navigation information integrated in augmented reality in the scene of the video frames is navigation information relating to a border, i.e. an entrance or an exit, of a low-emission zone.

[0050] When the navigation system is in guidance mode, directional graphic elements can also be integrated into the scene of the video frames displayed on the screen 103, the directional graphic elements being determined by the control device 101 as a function of a route determined from map information and a current position of the vehicle.

[0051] For this purpose, the vehicle 100 may further comprise a memory 106 capable of storing data used by the control device 101. The memory 103 may in particular store cartographic data, representative of a given territory in which the vehicle is located. The cartographic data may be updated remotely via a communication interface 104, which may be a cellular interface allowing the vehicle 100 to access a cellular network, such as a 3G, 4G, 5G network or any other generation, for example. Thus, the vehicle 100 can obtain updated cartographic data stored in a remote server.

[0052] The map data according to the invention, in addition to identifying the roads of a given territory, further identifies one or more low-emission zones of the territory. Each low-emission zone may be a two-dimensional geographic area in the map data.

[0053] The vehicle 100 may further comprise a satellite positioning module 105, of the GPS type for example, for “Global Positioning System”, capable of obtaining, and maintaining up to date, a current position of the vehicle.

[0054] Such a current position of the vehicle 100 can be superimposed by the control device 101 with the map data in order to locate the vehicle 100 in the road infrastructure surrounding it. In particular, the control device 101 can determine, at any time, whether the vehicle 100 is inside or outside a low-emission zone.

[0055] [Fig. 2] is a diagram illustrating the steps of a method for controlling a graphical interface according to embodiments of the invention. The method according to the invention can be implemented by a control device, such as the control device 101 described with reference to the preceding figure.

[0056] In an initial situation, prior to the steps described below, the vehicle 100 is outside any low emission zone.

[0057] In a step 201, the control device 101 obtains cartographic data from the memory 106 and / or from the communication interface 104, the cartographic data representing a territory in which the vehicle 100 is traveling, and identifying at least one low-emission zone in this territory.

[0058] In a step 202, the control device 101 obtains a current position of the vehicle 100, via the satellite positioning module 105.

[0059] In a step 203, the control device 101 obtains at least one image, or video frame representative of the scene facing the vehicle, from the camera 102.

[0060] It should be noted that steps 201 to 203 may be iterated at different frequencies. In particular, obtaining images or video frames representative of the scene facing the vehicle may preferably be iterated several times per second, so as to display a video of the scene in real time on the screen 103. The cartographic data relating to the territory in which the vehicle is traveling may be updated, by an iteration of step 201, only when the vehicle approaches a border of the territory for which the cartographic data were obtained from the memory 106 and / or from the communication interface 104. The current position 202 may be obtained at a given frequency, intermediate between the frequency of steps 201 and the frequency of steps 203, for example every second, which allows a regular update of the position of the vehicle 100.The frequency of updating the current position of the vehicle may depend on the vehicle's moving speed: the higher the vehicle speed, the higher the frequency of updating the current position.

[0061] In a step 204, the control device 101 determines from the map data obtained in step 201 and the current position obtained in step 202, whether an entry into a low-emission zone is present in the field of vision of the camera 102 of the vehicle. For this purpose, the control device 101 can evaluate a distance between the current position of the vehicle 100 and a nearest border of the low-emission zone, and can further take into account a main direction of the vehicle, the main direction being given by a main direction of a current road on which the vehicle 100 is traveling. The field of vision of the camera is evaluated by the control device 101 from an opening angle of the camera, and a maximum distance. If the map data indicates that the entrance to the low emission zone is beyond the maximum distance, or is outside the aperture angle of the camera, then the control device 101 determines that the low emission zone is absent from the field of view of the camera 102. The control device 101 applies any predetermined geometric rule to the current position of the vehicle and to the position of the low emission zone in the map data. graphics, in order to determine the absence or presence of the entrance to the low emission zone in the field of view of the camera 102.

[0062] If this is not the case, that is to say in the absence of an entry into a low-emission zone in the field of vision of the camera 102 of the vehicle 100, then the control device 101 controls the graphical interface of the screen 103 so as to display the video frames from the camera 102. In a complementary and optional manner, when the navigation system is in guidance mode, the control device 101 can add directional graphical elements, such as arrows, in the scene of the video frames displayed on the screen 103. The directional graphical elements added in the scene are determined from a route comprising a set of roads or sections of roads to be traveled to reach a destination, and determined by the control device from the map data, the current position of the vehicle, the destination indicated by the driver and criteria predetermined or defined by the driver.

[0063] If this is the case, that is to say if the control device 101 determines a presence of an entrance to a low-emission zone in the field of vision of the camera 102 of the vehicle 100, then the control device 101 controls, at a step 206, the graphical interface of the screen 103, so as to display the video frames of the scene facing the vehicle as well as navigation information indicating the entrance to the low-emission zone in the form of at least a first graphical element. The control device 101 determines the position of the at least a first graphical element in each video frame as a function of the current position of the vehicle and the position of the entry in the map data. The position of the entry into the low-emission zone being fixed, the control device determines the position of the at least a first graphical element representing the entry into the low-emission zone in each video frame obtained.

[0064] The scene illustrated by the video frames obtained from the camera 103 is displayed in three dimensions on the graphical interface, that is to say in perspective on a two-dimensional screen. Advantageously, the at least one first graphical element representative of the entry into the low-emission zone is displayed on the screen 103 in a plane normal to the road on which the vehicle is traveling, so as to materialize a boundary between the outside of the low-emission zone and the inside of the low-emission zone.

[0065] The graphical interface at the end of step 206 is illustrated with reference to [Fig.3a].

[0066] [Fig.3a] illustrates a graphical interface 300 controlled by the control device 101, in a first driving situation in which the vehicle 100 approaches the entrance to a low emission zone.

[0067] As previously described, the graphical interface 300 displays the video frames of the scene facing the vehicle. In [Fig.3a], one of the video frames of the scene facing the vehicle is displayed: in this scene, the vehicle 100 is traveling on a left lane of a dual carriageway road, separated by a central reservation of another road for oncoming traffic.

[0068] In addition to the display of the video frames from the camera 102, the control device 101 displays navigation information 301 representative of an entry into a low-emission zone, comprising a first graphic element 302 in a vertical plane normal to the road on which the vehicle is traveling. The first graphic element 302 may in particular take the form of a gantry virtually supported on the road and of a height greater than the vehicles traveling on the road. Such a virtual gantry 302 makes it possible to materialize the limit of the low-emission zone in the scene facing the vehicle, without however presenting it as an obstacle for the vehicle, which makes it possible to avoid a dangerous surprise effect for the driver.

[0069] The navigation information 301 representative of the entry into the low-emission zone may also comprise at least one other first graphic element 303.1 or 303.2, having the form of a panel with a pattern representative of the entry into the low-emission zone. The pattern shown here is a leaf, given as an example. Any pattern easily recognizable by the driver may be used as another first graphic element 303.1 or 303.2. In the example shown in [Fig.3a], two other graphic elements are two panels with identical patterns and each placed above one of the traffic lanes of the road on which the vehicle 100 is traveling. The driver can thus identify that even by changing traffic lanes, he will enter the low-emission zone.In different driving situations, the gantry may not cover one of the traffic lanes, in which case the driver may decide to switch to that traffic lane to avoid entering the low emission zone.

[0070] The graphical interface 300 displayed in step 206 may further comprise, optionally and in a guidance mode, directional graphical elements 305 added to the scene facing the vehicle 100, the directional graphical elements indicating the route to follow to reach a destination entered by the driver.

[0071] Step 206 may comprise displaying several consecutive video frames, in which the navigation information 301 is positioned so as to form fixed virtual infrastructure elements. For example, the first graphic elements may have a size that is inversely proportional to the distance between the car and the entrance to the low-emission zone.

[0072] With reference to [Fig.2], following step 206, the control device 101 determines whether vehicle 100 enters the low emission zone or not, at a step 207.

[0073] For this purpose, the control device 101 can compare the current position of the vehicle with the map data identifying the low-emission zone.

[0074] If the control device 101 determines that the vehicle 100 has not entered the low-emission zone, for example because it took a lane allowing the low-emission zone to be avoided, and which was not included under the gantry 301 in the graphical interface displayed in step 206, the method returns to steps 201 to 203.

[0075] If the control device 101 determines that the vehicle 100 has entered the low-emission zone, in particular by passing under the gantry 302 virtually displayed in augmented reality on the graphical interface 300 of step 206, then the method moves on to a step 208.

[0076] In step 208, the control device 101 controls the graphical interface 300 so as to display only the video frames obtained in real time during step 203. It is thus understood that step 203 is implemented continuously during the steps previously described, and for the following steps. Optionally and in the guidance mode, the graphical interface during step 208 may comprise directional graphical elements to indicate the route to the destination indicated by the driver, superimposed on the video frames obtained and displayed in real time.

[0077] In a step 209, the control device 101 determines, from the cartographic data obtained in step 201 and from the current position resulting from the iterations of step 202, whether an exit from the low-emission zone in which the vehicle is located is in the field of vision of the camera 102.

[0078] For this purpose, the control device 101 can evaluate a distance between the current position of the vehicle 100 and a border closest to the low-emission zone, and can further take into account a main direction of the vehicle, the main direction being given by a main direction of a current road on which the vehicle 100 is traveling.

[0079] If this is not the case, that is to say, if the control device 101 determines that no boundary of the low emission zone in which the vehicle 100 is located is in the field of vision of the camera 102, the method returns to step 208 and the control device 101 continues to display the video frames obtained from the camera 102, optionally with the directional graphic elements.

[0080] If this is the case, that is to say if the control device 101 determines that a border of the low emission zone in which the vehicle 100 is located is in the field of vision of the camera 102, then the control device 101 controls the graphical interface of the screen 300 so as to display the video frames from the camera as well as navigation information representative of an exit from the zone. low-emission zone, in the form of at least one second graphic element, at a step 210. As for step 206 previously described, the control device 101 determines the position of the at least one second graphic element in each video frame as a function of the current position of the vehicle 100 and the position of the exit from the low-emission zone in the map data. The position of the exit from the low-emission zone being fixed, the control device 101 determines the position of the at least one second graphic element representing the exit from the low-emission zone, in each video frame obtained at step 203.

[0081] The scene illustrated by the video frames obtained from the camera 103 is represented in three dimensions on the graphic interface, that is to say in perspective on a two-dimensional screen.Advantageously, the at least one second graphic element representative of the exit from the low emission zone is displayed on the screen 103 in a vertical plane normal to the road on which the vehicle is traveling, so as to materialize a boundary between the interior of the low emission zone and the interior of the low emission zone.

[0082] The graphical interface at the end of step 210 is illustrated with reference to [Fig.3b].

[0083] [Fig.3b] illustrates a graphical interface 300 controlled by the control device 101, in a second driving situation in which the vehicle 100 approaches the exit of a low-emission zone. The control device 101 determines in particular that the exit of the low-emission zone is in the field of vision of the camera 102.

[0084] As previously described, the graphical interface 300 displays the video frames of the scene facing the vehicle. In [Fig.3b], one of the video frames of the scene facing the vehicle is displayed: in this scene, the vehicle 100 is traveling on a right lane of a three-lane road, which may be a highway.

[0085] In addition to the display of the video frames from the camera 102, the control device 101 displays navigation information 311 representative of an exit from the low-emission zone, comprising a first graphic element 312 in a vertical plane normal to the road on which the vehicle is traveling. The first graphic element 312 may in particular take the form of a gantry virtually supported on the road and of a height greater than the vehicles traveling on the road, like the gantry 302 described previously for the entrance to the low-emission zone.

[0086] Such a virtual gantry 312 makes it possible to materialize the limit of the low-emission zone in the scene facing the vehicle, without however presenting it as an obstacle for the vehicle, which makes it possible to avoid a dangerous surprise effect for the driver.

[0087] The navigation information 311 representative of the exit from the low-voltage zone emissions, may also comprise at least one other second graphic element 313.1 or 313.2, having the form of a sign with a second pattern representative of the exit from the low emission zone. The second pattern shown here is a crossed-out leaf, given as an example. Preferably, in order to facilitate understanding by the driver, the second patterns of the second graphic elements 313.1 and 313.2 correspond to a negation of the first patterns of the first graphic elements 303.1 and 303.2 previously described. Any pattern easily recognizable by the driver may be used as another second graphic element 313.1 or 313.2. In the example shown in [Fig.3b], the two other second graphic elements are two signs with identical second patterns and each placed above one of the traffic lanes of the road on which the vehicle 100 is traveling.Alternatively, the navigation information 311 may comprise as many other second graphic elements representing signs as the road comprises traffic lanes, i.e. three other second graphic elements in the example of [Fig.3b].

[0088] The driver can thus identify that even by changing traffic lane, he will leave the low-emission zone, since the virtual gantry 312 encompasses all three lanes of the road on which the vehicle 100 is traveling. In different driving situations, the virtual gantry 312 may not cover one of the traffic lanes, in which case the driver can decide to switch to this traffic lane to avoid leaving the low-emission zone.

[0089] The graphical interface 300 displayed in step 210 may further comprise, optionally and in a guidance mode, directional graphical elements 315 added to the video frames representing the scene facing the vehicle 100, the directional graphical elements 315 indicating the route to follow to reach a destination entered by the driver.

[0090] Step 210 may comprise displaying several consecutive video frames, in which the navigation information 311 is positioned so as to form fixed virtual infrastructure elements. For example, the first graphic elements 311 may have a size that is inversely proportional to the distance between the car and the exit of the low-emission zone.

[0091] In a step 211, the control device 101 determines whether the vehicle 100 has left the low-emission zone or not, depending in particular on the current position of the vehicle and on the map data identifying the low-emission zone.

[0092] If this is not the case, that is to say if the vehicle 100 has not left the low emission zone, for example by taking a traffic lane allowing it to remain in the low emission zone, the method returns to step 208 previously. described.

[0093] If this is the case, that is to say if the vehicle 100 has left the low emission zone, the method returns to steps 201 to 203 previously described.

[0094] [Fig.4] shows the structure of a control device 101 according to embodiments of the invention.

[0095] The control device 101 comprises a processor 401 configured to communicate unidirectionally or bidirectionally, via one or more buses or via a direct wired connection, with a memory 402 such as a memory of the “Random Access Memory” type, RAM, or a memory of the “Read Ordy Memory” type, ROM, or any other type of memory (Flash, EEPROM, etc.). Alternatively, the memory 402 comprises several memories of the aforementioned types.

[0096] The memory 402 is capable of storing, permanently or temporarily, at least some of the data used and / or resulting from the implementation of the method described with reference to [Fig.2].

[0097] In particular, the memory 402 can temporarily store the video frames obtained in step 203, the map data obtained in step 201 and the current position obtained in step 202.

[0098] The processor 401 is capable of executing instructions, stored in the memory 402, for implementing the steps of the method according to the invention, described with reference to [Fig. 2]. Alternatively, the processor 401 can be replaced by a microcontroller designed and configured to carry out the steps of the method according to the invention, described with reference to [Fig. 2].

[0099] The control device 101 comprises an interface 403 capable of communicating with the camera 102, in particular for obtaining the video frames during step 203.

[0100] The control device 101 comprises an interface 404 capable of communicating with the screen 103, for displaying the graphical interface, as described previously.

[0101] The control device 101 may further comprise an interface 405 capable of communicating with the GPS module 105 to obtain the current position of the vehicle 100 from step 202 previously described.

[0102] The control device 101 may further comprise an interface 406 capable of communicating with the communication interface 104, for obtaining cartographic data in step 201, when they are obtained from the communication interface 104.

[0103] The control device 101 may further comprise an interface 407, capable of communicating with the memory 106 of the vehicle 100, for obtaining map data in step 201, when they are obtained from the memory 106 of the vehicle 100.

[0104] The present invention is not limited to the embodiments described above. examples; it extends to other variants.
