Description

Title of the invention: Incorporation box for concrete slab Technical field

[0001] The present invention relates to an incorporation box for a concrete slab which makes it possible to create a reservation within a concrete slab in order to carry out the passage of flexible or semi-rigid conduits for the circulation of liquid or gaseous fluids, for example a hot or cold water circuit or a town gas circuit. By flexible or semi-rigid, we mean the fact that the conduit can be bent according to a radius of curvature so as to allow it to exit the concrete slab and rise in a partition wall or outside a partition wall to which said conduit is then fixed.

[0002] The incorporation box according to the invention will be implemented by plastics specialists, sold by construction equipment dealers and distributors of sanitary / heating equipment and used on construction sites by structural works companies pouring concrete slabs, or even by secondary works companies such as plumbers or heating engineers who make their reservations before the concrete slab is poured by the structural works. State of the art

[0003] Incorporation boxes are well known in the market for the construction of works such as buildings and buildings for professional or residential use. Some examples of incorporation boxes are described in the titles published under the following numbers: EP3219873B1; EP2530220A1; FR2837514B1; FR2974587B1; FR2986549B1; and WO2007148218A2.

[0004] Traditionally, the incorporation boxes are placed on a metal lattice structure of the concrete slab to be poured and ducts (or sleeves) are also placed on this metal lattice structure according to a precise layout respecting a network plan, said ducts opening into the incorporation boxes which are closed before the concrete slab is poured. The ducts and the incorporation boxes are secured to the metal lattice structure to prevent them from moving during the pouring of the concrete, which could have the effect of shifting the ducts relative to the network plan, bending the ducts and making it impossible to pass flexible or semi-rigid conduits, once the concrete slab has been poured and dried, and also of moving the incorporation boxes, thus causing poor positioning of the outlet or inlet of flexible or semi-rigid conduits.Once the slab has been poured and dried, the operator can pass his conduits into the ducts and bring them out of the incorporation boxes.

[0005] In document EP3219873A1, systems for introducing a sheath are arranged on one side of a contour wall of the incorporation box, these introduction systems being designed to allow the passage and holding of sheaths of two different diameters. For this purpose, the introduction system comprises a circular opening of a first diameter, a circular cover of a second diameter, smaller than the first diameter, and a ring housed in the opening and receiving the cover. The periphery of the cover is connected to the internal periphery of the ring by means of first breakable connection points and the external periphery of the ring is connected to the periphery of the opening by means of second breakable connection points. The cover can be detached while keeping the ring attached to the opening, to allow the passage of a sheath of a diameter adapted to the diameter of the internal periphery of the ring; the ring can also be detached from the opening to allow the passage of a sheath of a diameter adapted to the diameter of the opening. Despite this advantage provided by this design of incorporation box, it allows laitance to pass through the side of the wall comprising the systems for introducing a sheath, during the pouring of the concrete. Summary of the invention.

[0006] The present invention implements an incorporation box on which the system for introducing a sheath allows the passage of a sheath which may have different diameters, with the aim of eliminating or, at the very least, greatly reducing the passage of laitance through the side of the wall comprising the system(s) for introducing a sheath, during the pouring of the concrete.

[0007] For this purpose, the invention relates to an incorporation box for a concrete slab, which comprises a body having a parallelepiped shape provided with a bottom and a contour wall. The contour wall comprises on one of its sides at least one system for introducing a sheath, preferably several systems for introducing a sheath. The system for introducing a sheath is configured to introduce sheaths of different diameters inside the body. According to the invention, the at least one system for introducing a sheath comprises a circular opening provided with a first periphery, from which first teeth and second teeth extend radially towards the center of the opening. The first teeth and the second teeth are adjacent to each other and arranged alternately, the first teeth being of a length greater than that of the second teeth. The first teeth and the second teeth are configured to be flexible, so as to be able to deform when a sheath passes through and return to their initial position. In addition, the at least one introduction system comprises a cover provided with a second periphery, from which third teeth extend radially outward from the cover, defining a notched shape on the second periphery. Furthermore, the third teeth are positioned in . the extension of the second teeth, the second teeth associated with the third teeth being complementary to the first teeth, breakable connecting means being arranged between the cover and the first and / or second teeth. This complementarity of the second teeth extended by the third teeth, with the first teeth, advantageously makes it possible to completely close the space between the periphery of the opening and the periphery of the cover, which prevents the passage of laitance through the system for introducing a sheath when the latter is not in use.

[0008] When the sheath insertion system is used, the cover is detached from the opening by cutting the breakable connecting means, thus revealing the first teeth and the second teeth. It is then possible to introduce into the opening a sheath whose diameter can be between a diameter defined by the ends of the first teeth and a diameter defined by the periphery of the opening. When the diameter of the sheath is between the diameter defined by the ends of the first teeth and the diameter defined by the ends of the second teeth, the first teeth flex due to their flexibility, as the sheath passes through the opening. When the diameter of the sheath is between the diameter of the second teeth and the diameter of the periphery of the opening, the first teeth and the second teeth flex due to their flexibility, as the sheath passes through the opening. The sheaths generally include grooves, allowing the first teeth and - depending on the diameter of the sheath - the second teeth to return to their initial position and penetrate the grooves of the sheath to maintain it in position with respect to the contour wall of the incorporation box.

[0009] According to a preferred embodiment of the system for introducing a sheath onto the incorporation box, the ends of the second teeth are attached to the ends of the third teeth by means of breakable connecting lines. Alternative embodiments of breakable connecting means remain possible, while remaining within the scope of the invention. For example, the ends of the first teeth could be attached to the periphery of the cover, that is to say in the bottom of the hollows formed between the third teeth, by means of breakable connecting lines.A combination of the two aforementioned embodiments may also be envisaged, i.e. the presence of first breakable connecting lines between the ends of the second teeth and the ends of the third teeth and of second breakable connecting lines between the ends of the first and the bottoms of the hollows formed on the periphery of the cover between the third teeth, although this embodiment makes it more difficult to detach the cover to release the opening.

[0010] According to a preferred embodiment of the sheath introduction system on the incorporation box, the first teeth have a trapezoid shape whose large base is fixed to the periphery of the opening and the second teeth have a shape of trapezoid whose small base is fixed to the periphery of the opening. An inverted variant could be envisaged, while remaining within the scope of the invention, that is to say first teeth having a trapezoid shape whose small base is fixed to the periphery of the opening and second teeth having a trapezoid shape whose large base is fixed to the periphery of the opening. The term trapezoid is used, but those skilled in the art will understand that the shape may differ very slightly from that of a trapezoid as such, since the small and large bases may be very slightly curved due to the circular shape of the opening and the operculum.

[0011] According to a preferred embodiment of the system for introducing a sheath onto the incorporation box, the length of the first teeth is equal to twice the length of the second teeth. Alternative embodiments are possible with different proportions, for example a length of the second teeth measuring two-thirds or three-fifths of the length of the first teeth.

[0012] According to a preferred embodiment of the system for introducing a sheath onto the incorporation box, the first teeth and the second teeth are free from each other. Alternatively, it would be possible to provide a connection between the juxtaposed parts of the first teeth and the second teeth, this connection being able to be breakable so that when a sheath is introduced into the opening, the first teeth and the second teeth flex and detach from each other.

[0013] According to a preferred embodiment of the incorporation box, the side of the contour wall comprises five systems for introducing a sheath. A different number of systems for introducing a sheath remains possible, for example two, three, four or six.

[0014] According to a preferred embodiment of the incorporation box, the bottom of the body is configured to form a curved ramp inside said body, said curved ramp being arranged facing the side of the contour wall comprising the at least one system for introducing a sheath. The ramp is configured to force a conduit to bend and move towards the top of the body or towards said side of the contour wall, depending on the direction of introduction of the conduit into said body, by bearing on said ramp. Thus, according to the invention, the body of the incorporation box incorporates a curved ramp which will allow the conduit to be bent and directed into the body to easily guide said conduit without risking damaging it. The curved ramp is preferably implemented by the bottom of the body which has a particular shape obtained directly during the molding of said body, in plastic material.Alternatively, this curved ramp could be implemented on the side of the contour wall, opposite the side comprising the at least one system for introducing a sheath.

[0015] According to a preferred embodiment of the incorporation box, the body comprises an upper opening and the incorporation box comprises a lid configured to fit onto the contour wall and close said upper opening. A variant of the incorporation box could be envisaged without a cover, the body being completely closed and cut on its upper part at the time of the passage of the conduits.

[0016] Preferably, when the incorporation box comprises a body and a cover, as mentioned above, said cover comprises at least one pair of tabs. The tabs are arranged opposite each other on a peripheral edge of the cover and each comprise a free end and an end adjoining the peripheral edge and opposite the free end. These tabs each comprise a slot, the slot comprising a flared portion towards the free end and a narrowed portion extending downwards the flared portion and extending to the adjoining end, in such a way as to allow a tie to freely penetrate into the flared portion of the slot, from its free end, then to become wedged in the narrowed portion of the slot by pushing it into it. The wedging of the tie in the slot makes it possible to completely immobilize the tie with respect to the cover closing the body.Preferably, the embedding box comprises two pairs of legs arranged perpendicular to each other. In other words, the cover comprises four legs, one on each of the sides of the cover which has a rectangular shape, two legs on two opposite sides of the cover forming a pair of legs, the two pairs of legs being arranged in a cross. Thus, the operator can place two cross links which are wedged respectively on the two pairs of legs of the cover when anchoring the embedding box on the wire mesh structure.

[0017] Thus, once the incorporation box is suitably positioned on the metal mesh structure, the cover closing the body, a link such as flexible or semi-rigid wire is placed in engagement on said metal mesh structure and then two portions of the link are pressed respectively on two opposite sides of the contour wall of the body and are then engaged respectively in the slots of the two tabs of said at least one pair of tabs, which makes it possible to wedge the two portions of the link respectively in the two tabs on the cover, thus perfectly immobilizing the link with respect to the cover and, thus, the incorporation box with respect to the metal mesh structure. It is therefore not necessary to directly fix the body of the incorporation box on the metal mesh structure.Although not required, once wedged into the two legs, the two ends of the tie can optionally be tied together above the cover to ensure that the portions of the tie remain properly wedged onto the legs. Once the concrete slab has been poured and dried, the operator can unclamp the tie from the legs on the cover and then release the cover from the body to open the embedding box. If desired, the operator can then remove the body from the slab. concrete, this not being fixed directly onto the metal mesh structure.

[0018] Preferably, when the incorporation box comprises a body and a cover, the contour wall of the body comprises a peripheral end portion opening onto the upper opening. In addition, the cover comprises a flat face provided with a ribbed contour extending from the inner side of the flat face. In other words, the ribbed contour forms a peripheral rim projecting from the inner side of the flat face of the cover. The ribbed contour is configured to be juxtaposed with said peripheral end portion of the body and form a peripheral reinforcement when the cover closes the body. When the concrete slab is poured, the concrete surrounding the body of the incorporation box exerts pressure on it, which tends to deform the contour wall of the body; such deformation could release the cover from the body. The body would then no longer be properly immobilized on the metal mesh structure and could then move.Furthermore, such deformation could allow concrete to penetrate into the embedding box. The presence of the ribbed contour on the cover prevents such deformation of the body contour wall.

[0019] According to one embodiment of the incorporation box which is the subject of the invention, the bottom of the body comprises on its external side wedging means capable of wedging the body on a metal lattice structure when said body is placed on said metal lattice structure. This wedging reinforces the immobilization of the incorporation box on the metal lattice structure. Brief description of the figures

[0031] In the remainder of the description, the term box designates the incorporation box according to the invention, unless otherwise indicated in the text. In addition, terms such as "top", "bottom", "below", "above", "lower", "upper"... which could be used, will be used in consideration of the normal position of the incorporation box positioned on a metal lattice structure, before or after pouring the concrete slab.

[0032] With particular reference to Figures 1 and 2, the box 1 comprises a body 2 which comprises a base 3 and a contour wall 4, the contour wall 4 having four sides 5-8 which define an upper opening 9, which can be closed by a cover 10 illustrated in Figures 8 and 9. One of the sides 5 of the contour wall 4 comprises five sheath insertion systems 11-15 which allow the insertion of five respective sheaths. Of course, only one or more of the sheath insertion systems 11-15 may be used, depending on the number of sheaths to be inserted into the body 2 of the box 1, before pouring the concrete slab.

[0033] With reference to figures 1 and 5, the bottom 3 of the body 2 comprises a particular shape defining a curved ramp 16 inside the body 2, said curved ramp 16 being placed facing the side 5 of the contour wall 4 which comprises the systems for introducing a sheath 11-15. When a conduit 17 (illustrated in dashed lines in [Fig. 5]) emerges from a sheath 18 (illustrated in dashed lines in [Fig. 5]) from the side 5 of the contour wall 4, said conduit 17 comes against the curved ramp 16 and is guided upwards towards the upper opening 9. When an operator pulls on this conduit 17 to extract it from the body 2 of the box 1, the curved ramp 16 guides the conduit 17 and the bend according to a radius of curvature defined by the curved shape of said curved ramp 16.Conversely, when an operator wishes to insert a conduit 17 into the body 2 then into the sheath 18 connected to the side 5 of the contour wall 4, the curved ramp 16 also contributes to guiding and bending the conduit 17 during its introduction into said sheath 18.

[0034] With reference to figures 1, 5, 6 and 7, the bottom 3 of the body 2 comprises two sets of four studs 19, 20 which extend downwards under said bottom 3. The four studs 19a, 19b, 19c, 19d of the first set of pads 19 define a first rectangle RI (illustrated in dotted lines in Figures 6 and 7) and the four pads 20a, 20b, 20c, 20d of the second set of pads 20 define a second rectangle R2 (illustrated in dotted lines in Figures 6 and 7) included in the first rectangle RI, the two rectangles RI, R2 being arranged on the same median axis X, as shown in Figures 6 and 7. The two pads 19a, 19b of the first set of pads 19 and the two pads 20a, 20b of the second set of pads 20 are aligned. The two pads 20c, 20d of the second set of pads 20 are arranged on an edge 21 of the curved part 22 of the bottom 3, closest to the side 5 of the contour wall 4. The other pads 19a, 19b, 19c, 19d, 20a, 20b are arranged on a peripheral portion 23 of the bottom 3, outside the curved part 22.The arrangement of these two sets of studs 19, 20 advantageously makes it possible to place the bottom 3 of the body 2 on a first metal lattice structure 24 whose rods 24a, 24b form first grids Q1 of a first dimension, by wedging said rods 24a, 24b with respect to the four studs 19a, 19b, 19c, 19d of the first set of studs 19, as illustrated in [Fig. 6], or to place the bottom 3 of the body 2 on a second metal lattice structure 25 whose rods 25a, 25b form second grids Q2 of a second dimension, smaller than that of the first grids Q1, by wedging said rods 25a, 25b with respect to the four studs 20a, 20b, 20c, 20d of the second set of plots 20, as illustrated in [Fig.7].

[0035] Once the body 2 is wedged on the metal lattice structure 24 or 25, the box 1 is completely immobilized with respect to said metal lattice structure 24 or 25 by means of links 26, 27 which may be flexible or semi-rigid and which engage on the cover 10 closing the body 2 of the box 1, as described below. The links 26, 27 will engage on the rods 24a, 24b or 25a, 25b of the metal lattice structure 24 or 25, then will be pressed against the sides 5-8 of the contour wall 4 and on the cover 10. The cover 10 comprises a flat face 28 and a peripheral edge 29 of rectangular shape. The peripheral edge 29 has, in cross-sectional view, a notched shape with an upper part 30 on which extend four tabs 31, 32, 33, 34 placed respectively on the four sides 35-38 of the cover 10.The two tabs 31, 32 are arranged opposite each other on the two opposite sides 35, 36 of the cover 10 and form a first pair of tabs 39 making it possible to fix two portions of a first link 26 respectively on the cover 10. Similarly, the two other tabs 33, 34 are arranged opposite each other on the two other opposite sides 37, 38 of the cover 10 and form a second pair of tabs 40 making it possible to fix two portions of the second link 27 respectively on the cover 10.

[0036] With reference to Figures 8 to 10, each of the tabs 31-34 extends on the upper side 30 of the peripheral edge 39 and comprises a free end 41 and an adjoining end 42. Each tab 31-34 comprises a slot 43 which extends in the direction of the length of the leg 31-34 and comprises a flared portion 44 opening onto the free end 41 and a narrowed portion 45 extending downwards the flared portion 44 and opening onto the adjoining end 42. The flared portion 44 and the narrowed portion 45 are dimensioned to allow the free introduction of a portion 46 of a link 26, 27 into the flared portion 44, then the forced introduction of said portion 46 into the narrowed portion 45, so that the two edges 45a, 45b of the narrowed portion 45 crush said portion 46 or even penetrate slightly into it, which blocks the link 26, 27 with respect to the cover 10. The edges 45a, 45b of the narrowed portion 45 may have a slight chamfer 47 facilitating the penetration of the narrowed part 45 of the slot 43 into the link 26, 27.Thus, once the link portions 26, 27 are engaged in the respective tabs 31, 32, 33, 34, these are wedged on the cover 10 and the box 1 is perfectly immobilized with respect to the metal lattice structure 24, 25. The wedging of the links 26, 27 in the tabs 31, 32, 33, 34 is sufficient to immobilize the box 1; however, the links 26, 27 may possibly be attached to each other in addition, to guarantee the maintenance of the links 26, 27 wedged on the cover 10.

[0037] The cover 10 comprises a ribbed contour 48 juxtaposed with the peripheral edge 29 and forming a peripheral protuberance below the flat face 28, on the internal side of said cover 10, as shown in [Fig. 9]. This ribbed contour 48 constitutes a reinforcement on the cover 10. The contour wall 4 of the body 2 comprises a peripheral end portion 49 (referenced [Fig. 5]) which opens onto the upper opening 9. When the cover 10 closes the upper opening 9 of the body 2, the peripheral edge 29, which has a crenellated cross-section, engages on the peripheral end portion 49 and the ribbed contour 48 is placed inside the body 2, juxtaposed with the internal face 50 (referenced [Fig. 5]) of said peripheral end portion 49.Thus the contour wall 4 of the body 2 is reinforced in its upper end part 49 once the cover 10 is in place, which prevents any possible deformation of the contour wall 4 during the pouring of the concrete which puts pressure on said contour wall 4. This guarantees perfect maintenance of the cover 10 on the body 2 during the pouring of the concrete.

[0038] Figures 1 to 4 specify the design of the systems for introducing a sheath 11-15 on the side 5 of the contour wall 4 of the body 2 of the box 1. Five systems for introducing a sheath 11-15 are illustrated, but this number is not fixed, variants being able to be envisaged with one, two, three, four or six systems for introducing a sheath, for example. Each system for introducing a sheath 11-15 comprises an opening 51 whose periphery 51a has a diameter D1, first teeth 52 and second teeth 53. The first teeth 52 and the second teeth 53 extend radially towards the center C1 of the opening 51 to which they are attached. The first teeth 52 and the second teeth 53 are attached to each other others and arranged alternately, as shown in [Fig.3].

[0039] Preferably, the first teeth 52 reduce in width towards the center C1, these having a trapezoidal shape with their large base 52a attached to the periphery 51a of the opening 51. Conversely, the second teeth 53 increase in width towards the center C1, these having a trapezoidal shape with their small base 53a attached to the periphery 51a of the opening 51. A variant could be envisaged by reversing the shapes of the first teeth 52 and the second teeth 53, while keeping them attached to each other.

[0040] The first teeth 52 have a greater length than that of the second teeth 53, preferably twice the length. Thus, the ends 52b of the first teeth 52 define a diameter D2 with center C1 and the ends 53b of the second teeth 53 define a diameter D3 with center C1, D2 being inscribed in D3, itself inscribed in D1. It would be possible to envisage different length ratios for the first teeth 52 and the second teeth 53, the second teeth 53 could have a length of two-thirds or three-fifths of that of the first teeth 52, for example.

[0041] The first teeth 52 and the second teeth 53 are flexible, thanks to their thin thickness and the use of a plastic material, which gives them a capacity to deform in order to be able to bend when a sheath 18 is introduced through the opening 51. The opening 51 can accommodate sheaths 18 whose diameter can vary between the diameter D1 and the diameter D2. When the sheath 18 has a diameter between D2 and D3, only the first teeth 52 bend when the sheath 18 passes through the opening 51. When the sheath 18 has a diameter between D3 and D1, the first teeth 52 and the second teeth 53 bend when the sheath 18 passes through the opening 51.The sheaths 18 generally have grooves (not shown) in which the ends 52b of the first teeth 52 and the ends 53b of the second teeth 53 can be placed - depending on the diameter of the sheath 18 - in order to ensure retention of the sheath 18 introduced into the opening 51, which keeps the sheath 18 in position relative to the side 5 of the contour wall 4 of the body 2.

[0042] Preferably, the first teeth 52 and the second teeth 53 are free from each other, that is to say that their juxtaposed lateral edges 52c, 53c are not attached to each other, which offers complete freedom of deformation to each of the first teeth 52 and the second teeth 53. Variants, however, remain conceivable by linking the juxtaposed lateral edges of the first teeth 52 and the second teeth 53 by means of a light plastic thread that can be broken during the deformation of the first teeth 52 and possibly the second teeth 53, when a sheath 18 passes through the opening 51.

[0043] The system for introducing a sheath 11-15 also comprises a cover 54, illustrated separately in [Fig. 4]. The cover 54 comprises a periphery 54a from which third teeth 55 extend radially outwardly from said periphery 5a and in notches. The periphery 54a of the cover 54 has a diameter D4 corresponding to the diameter D2 and the ends 55a of the third teeth 55 define a diameter D5 corresponding to the diameter D3. Before detaching the cover 54, to release it from the opening 51, the third teeth 55 are arranged in the extension of the second teeth 53, the second teeth 53 associated with the third teeth 55 having a shape complementary to the first teeth 52, as illustrated in particular in [Fig. 3].The ends 53b of the second teeth 53 are attached to the ends 55a of the third teeth 55 by a breakable connecting line implemented by a light thread of plastic material that can be cut, the cutting of the light thread of material being obtained by pushing the cover 54 through the side 5 of the contour wall 4, thus allowing its removal from the opening 51. Preferably, the cover 54 remains free with respect to the first teeth 52, in order to facilitate its detachment from the opening 51. It would however be possible to provide a breakable connecting line also implemented by a light thread of plastic material that can be cut, between the ends 52b of the first teeth 52 and the bottoms 56a of the hollows 56 formed on the periphery 54a of the cover 54, between the third teeth 55, in addition to or in substitution for the breakable link between the ends 53b of the second teeth 53 and the ends 55a of the third teeth 55. .

[0044] By virtue of this design, the opening 51 is completely closed in the presence of the cover 54 and, when the cover 54 is removed to allow the passage of a sheath 18 through the opening 51, very small passages may appear between the first teeth 52 and the sheath 18, and also between the second teeth 53 and the sheath. Thus, when the concrete slab is poured, laitance cannot penetrate through the sheath introduction systems that are not in use and very little laitance, if any, passes through the opening 51 of a sheath introduction system that is in use, due to the presence of the first teeth 52 and the second teeth 53 surrounding the sheath 18.

[0045] Variants are conceivable within the scope of the invention mainly aiming at the design of the sheath introduction systems 11-15 on the contour wall 4 of the body 2 of the box 1. The cover 10 could comprise only one of the two pairs of tabs 39, 40, in which case a single link 26, 27 would immobilize the box 1 on the metal lattice structure 24 or 25. Variants of the cover 10 are possible without such tabs 39, 40, in which case the body 2 of the box 1 could comprise its own means of fixing on the metal lattice structure 24 or 25. Preferably, the two pairs of tabs 39, 40 will be present on the cover 10, for perfect immobilization of the box 1. The curved ramp 16 could be arranged on the side 7 of the contour wall 4, instead of being arranged on the bottom 3. Variants of the box 1 are also possible without this curved ramp 16. In the absence of such a curved ramp 16, the box 1 could include systems for introducing a sheath on several sides of the contour wall 4. Other wedging means could be arranged on the bottom 3 of the body 2, instead of the two sets of studs 19, 20. The box 1 could only include a completely closed body 2 (without cover 10) which would then include an upper wall (not shown), which would be cut out once the slab has been poured and dried, for the passage of the conduits 17 into the sheaths 18.

[0046] Box 1 is made of plastic, body 2 being made of a single injection-molded piece, as is the cover 10. Once the concrete slab has been poured and dried and the conduits 17 have been passed through, box 1 can be broken and easily removed from the concrete slab, to allow additional concrete to be poured into the reservation area. Box 1 could also remain permanently in the concrete slab, in which case additional concrete would be poured directly into body 2.
