Title of the invention: Opening and its preparation method, an assembly integrating such an opening

[0001] The present invention relates to an opening to which a fixing is suitable for fixing, an assembly integrating such an opening, and a method for preparing such an opening.

[0002] It relates in particular to an opening in the form of a panel comprising: - a peripheral chant, - two facings extending on either side of the peripheral edge and - a base, also called the core, arranged between the said facings, said base being made of a material whose resistance to tearing is less than wood, the peripheral edge being formed by a part of the perimeter of the base and / or a part of an element, also called an edge band, attached around said base.

[0003] Such an opening, intended for example to form a door leaf, is known. Such an opening must frequently be fitted with hardware, such as a hinge, pivots, a handle faceplate, or the like. It frequently happens that the base, also called the core, of the panel constituting said opening is made of particleboard, cardboard, glass, or foam. 1. An opening (1) in the form of a panel comprising: - a peripheral edge (2), - two facings (3) extending on either side of the peripheral edge (2), and - a base (4) disposed between said facings (3), said base (4) being made of a material whose pull-out resistance is less than that of wood, the peripheral edge (2) being formed at least partially by a portion of the perimeter of the base (4) and a portion of an element (9) attached around said base (4), characterized in that, to allow the fixing of hardware (20), the opening (1) is provided with at least one wooden cylinder (5) extending from the edge (2) towards the center of the base (4), said cylinder (5) being provided with an axial hole, called a pilot hole (6), opening into the edge (2) of the opening (1), and in that the attached element (9), also called alaise, which surrounds the base (4) on part of its perimeter in the area extending between the facings (3),is made of a "hard" wood to form a reinforcing element.

2. Opening (1) according to claim 1, characterized in that the cylinder (5) is externally coated with glue (7) on at least a part of its surface.

3. Opening (1) according to one of claims 1 or 2, characterized in that the cylinder (5) is provided externally with longitudinal grooves (8).

4. Opening (1) according to any one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the opening (1) is a door opening.

5. Assembly comprising at least one opening (1) and a fixed (21) into which the opening (1) is able to fit at least partially, characterized in that the opening (1) conforms to one of claims 1 to 4.

A method for preparing a panel-shaped opening (1) to allow the attachment of hardware (20), said opening (1) comprising: - a peripheral edge (2), - two facings (3) extending on either side of the edge (2), and - a base (4) disposed between said facings (3), said base (4) being made of a material having a pull-out resistance inferior to that of wood, the edge (2) being formed by a part of the perimeter of the base (4) and a part of an element (9) attached to said base (4), characterized in that the attached element (9), also called an edge band, which surrounds the base (4) on a part of its perimeter in the area extending between the facings (3), is made of a "hard" wood to form a reinforcing element and in that the process includes a step of inserting at least one wooden cylinder (5) into at least one hole (10) in the edge (2) of the opening (1) to a position in which the cylinder (5) extends from the edge (2) towards the core of the base (4), and - an axial drilling step of said cylinder (5) from the edge (2) of the opening (1) to obtain an axial drilling of the cylinder, called a pilot hole (6), opening into said edge (2).

7. Method according to claim 6, characterized in that the drilling (10) of the edge (2) of the opening (1) used to receive a cylinder (5) has a diameter between 8 and 16 mm.
