AI Technical Summary
Current ceiling luminaire installation systems fail to maintain load recovery and prevent intumescent material from falling during a fire, as the luminaire is connected to the holding cable via plastic materials, which are not flame-resistant.
The introduction of a suspension accessory with a metallic axial element and metal hanging part, which directly connects the luminaire to the building structure using metal components, ensuring that the luminaire remains attached and the intumescent material is retained.
This solution significantly delays the potential drop of the luminaire during a fire and prevents the intumescent material from falling, effectively maintaining load recovery and fire resistance.

Abstract
Description
Title of the invention: Suspension accessory for a ceiling luminaire for a flush-mounted box, installation assembly for a luminaire comprising such a suspension accessory and electrical box comprising a flush-mounted box and such an installation assembly
[0001] The present invention relates, in general, to the field of electrical equipment.
[0002] The invention relates more particularly to a suspension accessory for a ceiling light fitting for a flush-mounted box comprising: - a piece for hanging the light fixture, and - a shield adapted to close a front opening of the flush-mounted box and which has an opening provided to provide access to an electrical connection module of the luminaire arranged in the flush-mounted box.
[0003] The invention also relates to an installation assembly for a ceiling luminaire for a flush-mounted box comprising such an accessory and an electrical box for a ceiling luminaire comprising said installation assembly fitted in a flush-mounted box.
[0004] Current standards for these installation assemblies require that a load of 25 kg be provided when installing a light fixture on the ceiling. Thus, it is generally provided to install a retaining cable which is fixed, on one side, to a structural element of the building hidden by the ceiling (then commonly called a "false ceiling"), and, on the other, to a flush-mounted box. The flush-mounted box thus fixed to the ceiling then offers, on the one hand, a hanging point for the light fixture via the hanging part of the light fixture which is itself fixed to said box, and, on the other hand, an electrical connection point via the connection module arranged in said box.
[0005] Current fire-resistant wall standards also require restoring the original fire-resistant performance of a drywall partition, in this case the ceiling, which has been pierced with the hole necessary for the installation of the flush-mounted box, i.e. preventing fire from passing through the drywall for a predefined period (for example 30 or 60 minutes). To do this, it is known to place an intumescent material inside the flush-mounted box, which may be in the form of a patch. When the intumescent material is exposed to heat, it swells and then obstructs the duct entry openings of the flush-mounted box, which allows air to be expelled and prevents the passage of flames and gases through them.
[0006] Document FR3118082 discloses a fire-resistant flush-mounting box for a ceiling luminaire which is itself partially made of an intumescent material. In this flush-mounting box, the load return is achieved by means of a U-shaped bracket at the base of which the retaining cable is fixed. The two branches of the bracket then serve to fix the peripheral side wall of the flush-mounting box. It is then provided that a hook for hanging the luminaire is fixed to the shield closing the flush-mounting box.
[0007] However, in this fire-resistant recessed box for luminaires, the load recovery is not maintained in the event of a fire because the luminaire is secured to the retaining cable via plastic parts: shield, peripheral side wall, hook. The luminaire is therefore likely to fall quickly to the ground in the event of a fire. In addition, the intumescent material may also fall to the ground in the event of damage to the shield due to heat and gravity.
[0008] In order to overcome the aforementioned drawbacks, the present invention proposes a suspension accessory for a luminaire by means of which said luminaire is connected directly to the retaining cable by means of a set of metal parts.
[0009] More particularly, according to the invention, there is proposed a suspension accessory as described in the introduction comprising a metallic axial element adapted to be engaged in the flush-mounted box and which comprises: - a rear attachment means provided to receive a free end portion of a retaining cable, and - a front fixing means arranged to receive the hanging piece; wherein the shield and the attachment piece are metallic; and wherein the shield is fixed to the axial element.
[0010] Thanks to the metal axial element and the metal hanging piece, the luminaire is thus secured directly to the structure of the building by metal elements. This makes it possible to significantly delay a possible fall of the luminaire in the event of a fire.
[0011] In addition, since the shield is also a metal part, it resists flames longer than a plastic part and can therefore prevent the intumescent material from falling to the ground for longer. Due to its metallic nature, it also contributes, in itself, to preventing the passage of flames. Advantageously, the metal shield is also connected to the retaining cable by a metal element, namely the axial element, which allows it to continue to ensure load recovery and to effectively fulfill the two aforementioned roles (retaining the intumescent material and preventing the passage of flames).
[0012] Other characteristics of the suspension accessory according to the invention are as follows: - a portion of the attachment piece passes through the shield to be fixed to the front fixing means of the axial element so that the shield is held between the attachment piece and the axial element; - the front fixing means of the axial element comprises an axial housing adapted to receive the part of the attachment piece passing through the shield; - the axial housing is cylindrical around a receiving axis and the rear fixing means of the axial element is arranged to receive the retaining cable in a direction parallel to said receiving axis; - the attachment part has a peripheral collar arranged to abut against an external face of the shield; - the shield has a peripheral portion which protrudes from the flush-mounted box; - the peripheral portion of the shield has an annular shape; - the peripheral portion of the shield has a flat or curved shape towards the flush-mounted box.
[0013] The invention also proposes an installation assembly for a ceiling luminaire for a flush-mounted box comprising a suspension accessory for the luminaire as mentioned above and an electrical connection module for the luminaire adapted to be connected to the electrical network and comprising a connection well whose mouth is positioned in correspondence with the opening of said shield.
[0014] The invention finally proposes an electrical box for a ceiling light fitting comprising: - a flush-mounted box comprising a bottom wall and a peripheral side wall which delimit an interior volume open onto a front opening, the front opening being opposite the bottom wall, - an installation assembly for the luminaire as mentioned above, the electrical connection module of the installation assembly being housed in the interior volume of the flush-mounted box, the metallic axial element of the installation assembly extending into the interior volume of the flush-mounted box between the back wall and the front opening.
[0015] The description which follows with reference to the appended drawings, given as non-limiting examples, will make it clear what the invention consists of and how it can be implemented.
[0016] In the attached drawings:
[0017] [Fig-1] is an exploded schematic perspective view of an electrical box according to the invention.
[0018] [Fig.2] is a schematic assembled side sectional view of the electrical box of [Fig.l].
[0019] [Fig.3] is a rear perspective assembled schematic view of the electrical box of [Fig.l].
[0020] In Figures 1 to 3, an electrical box 1 for a ceiling luminaire according to the invention is shown. Such an electrical box 1, commonly called DCL (for “Luminaire Connection Device”), is intended to be embedded in a false ceiling wall 2 (see [Fig.2]) in order to allow the suspension and connection of a luminaire (not shown).
[0021] In the following description, by convention, the term "front" will designate the side of the electrical box 1 facing the installer, i.e. facing downwards. The term "rear" will designate the opposite side. The term "inside" will designate the side facing the center of the electrical box 1 and the term "outside" the opposite side.
[0022] The electrical box 1 is specially designed to be fitted into a dry wall, here into a false ceiling wall 2.
[0023] It is recalled in this regard that, in a known manner, such a partition or dry wall, also called a hollow partition or wall, is generally composed of a metal frame (formed of vertical uprights and / or horizontal rails) and plasterboard panels attached to at least one of the two faces of the metal frame. The cavity made in this dry wall to accommodate the electrical box 1 is then simply formed by a circular opening 21 made with a hole saw in one of the plasterboard panels of the false ceiling wall 2 (see [Fig.2]).
[0024] The electrical box 1 is adapted to be connected to the structure of the building by means of a holding cable 3. The wording "adapted to be connected" here means that it is specifically designed to be connected to the structure of the building via the holding cable 3.
[0025] As shown in [Fig.l], the electrical box 1 comprises: - a 200 flush-mounted box; - an axial element 100; - an electrical connection module 300 allowing the light fixture to be connected to it; - a 400 shield; and - a hanging piece 500 of the luminaire allowing the luminaire to be suspended there.
[0026] As shown in Figures 1 to 3, the flush-mounted box 200 is completely conventional, it serves for the protection, fixing and wiring of the electrical equipment. The interior volume 201 of the flush-mounted box 200 allows the base of the equipment mechanism to be housed and its wiring to be carried out there.
[0027] Essentially, the flush-mounted box 200 comprises a body 210 which has a generally cylindrical shape around a central axis A1 (see [Fig.2]), but which could of course have a different shape, in particular parallelepiped.
[0028] As shown in Figures 1, 2 and 3, the body 210 of the flush-mounted box 200 comprises a generally tubular side wall 211 of revolution and a bottom wall 212 which closes the flush-mounted box 200 at the rear. The flush-mounted box 200 is open at the front by a front opening 21 IA opposite the bottom wall 212. The body 210 thus delimits, between the side wall 211, the bottom wall 212 and the front opening 21 IA, the interior volume 201 (see [Fig.2]) of the flush-mounted box 200 which in particular makes it possible to accommodate the electrical connection module 300 as well as the electrical wires coming from the network, necessary for its wiring.
[0029] For its fixing in the circular opening made in the plasterboard of the drywall, the body 210 of the flush-mounted box 200 comprises an external curb 213 which runs externally along the edge of the front opening 21 IA and which is adapted to bear against the front face of the plasterboard, all around the circular opening. This external curb 213 makes it possible to block the body 210 of the flush-mounted box 200 towards the rear in the drywall.
[0030] As shown more particularly in [Fig. 3], to block the body 210 forward in the dry wall, the flush-mounted box 200 is equipped with two screws 221 and claws 220 which operate in diametrically opposite positions on the external face of the side wall 211. Each screw 221, at the free end of which a claw 220 is screwed, passes through arrangements provided in the side wall 211, namely a chimney 222 opening at the front of the flush-mounted box 200 and holding the head of said screw 221 so that said screw is only free to rotate about its axis (and therefore blocked in translation), a recess 223 in the external face of the side wall 211, and an orifice 224 opposite the outlet of said chimney in the recess 223. A ramp is provided 223A at the bottom of each recess 223, part of which is inclined.Once in place, each claw 220 is partially housed in a recess 223 bearing against the ramp 223A. Each claw 220 is locked in rotation in the recess 223 while each screw 221, free to rotate around the axis of its threaded body, is fixed in translation. The assembly is conventionally done in such a way that the rotation of each screw 221 in the chimney 222 causes a translational movement of the corresponding claw 220 along the threaded body of the screw 221. During its movement, each claw 220 slides on the ramp 223A provided at the bottom of the recess 223 to exit from the recess 223, projecting from the external face of the side wall 211 of the flush-mounted box 200, and come to rest or hook onto the rear face of the plasterboard of the false ceiling wall 2.
[0031] The flush-mounted box 200 further comprises a plurality of cable routing sheath inlets. Such a sheath (not shown) houses the cables and / or electrical wires from the local electrical network. As shown in the figures, the flush-mounted box 200 comprises four cable routing sheath inlets. Each inlet is a passage opening 240 extending partly on the side wall 211 of the body 210 of the flush-mounted box 200 and partly on the bottom wall 212 of the body 210 of the flush-mounted box 200. The outline of each passage opening 240 is generally oblong.
[0032] Each passage opening 240 is closed by a tearable or pierceable cover 241. This cover 241 is made up of a flexible membrane (of the type marketed by the applicants under the reference “Batibox™”).
[0033] The body 210 is made of rigid plastic material (typically polypropylene). The flexible membranes are made of a more flexible thermoplastic material (typically SEBS, acronym for Styrene Ethylene Butylene Styrene) overmolded onto the rigid material.
[0034] According to one of the particularly advantageous characteristics of the invention, the axial element 100 is a single-piece metal part, adapted to be engaged in the flush-mounting box 200.
[0035] This axial element 100 comprises: - a rear fixing means 110 provided to receive a free end portion of the retaining cable 3, and - a front fixing means 120 arranged to receive the attachment part 500.
[0036] As shown in Figures 1 and 2, the axial element 100 more particularly comprises a generally cylindrical longitudinal structure 130 forming, at the rear, an axial passage 111 constituting the rear fixing means 110 and, at the front, a sheath 121 constituting said front fixing means 120. The axial element 100 has a larger diameter at the front, at the sheath 121, than at the rear, at the axial passage 111.
[0037] The sheath 121 internally comprises a generally cylindrical axial housing 122 adapted to receive a rectilinear end portion 520 of the attachment part 500. The axial housing 122 is tapped and the rectilinear end portion 520 of the attachment part 500 is threaded so that it is screwed into the axial housing 122 of the sheath 121.
[0038] The axial passage 111 has a shape adapted to the free end portion of the retaining cable 3. The free end portion of the retaining cable 3 is fixed in the axial passage 111 by crimping. As clearly shown in [Fig. 1], the axial element 100 thus forms a stud secured to the retaining cable 3.
[0039] The axial housing 122 of the front fixing means 120 is centered on a receiving axis A2 (see [Fig.2]) and the axial passage 111 is arranged to receive the retaining cable 3 in a direction parallel to said receiving axis A2. The axial passage 111 is more particularly centered on the receiving axis A2. The axial housing 122 and the axial passage 111 are thus coaxial. Thus, the longitudinal structure 130 of the axial element 100 has as longitudinal axis of symmetry, the receiving axis A2.
[0040] The axial element 100 also comprises a mounting part which is constituted by a peripheral pavement 140 extending in projection from the external face of the longitudinal structure 130, that is to say substantially radially with respect to the axis A2 as appears in [Fig.2].
[0041] The single-piece part that constitutes the axial element 100 is advantageously produced by machining a metal block such as a steel block (which may be stainless).
[0042] The axial element 100 is mounted in the interior volume 201 of the flush-mounted box 200 so that it extends along the central axis A1, between the bottom wall 212 of the body 210 and the front opening 21 1A of the flush-mounted box 200. As shown in [Fig. 2], when it is mounted in the flush-mounted box 200, the axis A2 of the longitudinal structure 130 of the axial element 100 coincides with the axis A1 of the flush-mounted box 200.
[0043] For mounting the axial element 100 in the flush-mounted box 200, the latter is equipped with a tubular intermediate element 250, a rear end part of which is fixed to the body 210 of the flush-mounted box 200.
[0044] The intermediate element 250 comprises a cylindrical internal surface 250A which delimits an axial passage opening out at each end of said intermediate element 250.
[0045] As shown more particularly in [Fig. 2], the rear end portion of the intermediate element 250 passes through a circular rear opening 212A provided in the center of the bottom wall 212 of the body 210 of the flush-mounted box 200. This rear opening 212A is centered on the central axis AL. The rear end portion of the intermediate element 250 carries on its external face a stop collar 251 positioned in abutment against an internal surface 212B of the bottom wall 212 of the body 210 of the flush-mounted box 200, all around the rear opening 212A, so as to block the body 210 of the flush-mounted box 200 towards the front against the intermediate element 250. The rear end portion of the intermediate element 250 also carries teeth 252, more specifically four teeth 252, two of which are visible in [Fig.2], coming to attach against the external surface 212C of the bottom wall 212, around the rear opening 212A.The rear end portion of the intermediate element 250 is thus designed to be clipped into the body 210 of the flush-mounting box 200, the bottom wall 212 of the body 210 being wedged between the teeth 252 and the stop collar 251 of the rear end portion of the intermediate element 250.
[0046] Once clipped, the intermediate element 250 extends into the interior volume 201 of the flush-mounted box 200 so that the axis of the axial passage delimited by its surface internal 250A is confused with the central axis Al of the flush-mounted box 200.
[0047] As shown in [Fig.2], a rear portion of the axial element 100, here the rear portion located at the axial passage 111 secured to the retaining cable 3, is threaded into the axial passage of the intermediate element 250 so that the retaining cable 3 emerges outside and at the rear of the flush-mounted box 200, to be accessible to an installer. The intermediate element 250 and the axial element 100 are fixed to each other by snap-fastening around the peripheral kerb 140 of the axial element 100. For this, a front end portion of the intermediate element 250 comprises two U-shaped windows 255. Each window 255 is engaged, at the base of the U-shape, in a groove 141 formed between the peripheral kerb 140 and the sheath 121 of the axial element 100. This engagement makes it possible to lock the intermediate element 250 towards the rear on the axial element 100.In addition, the cylindrical internal surface 250A of the intermediate element 250 has a diameter equal, apart from the mounting clearance, to that of the axial element 100 at the axial passage 111. An end edge of the intermediate element 250 is therefore in abutment against the peripheral rim 140 of the axial element 100, which contributes to blocking the intermediate element 250 forwards on the axial element 100.
[0048] As shown in [Fig.l], the connection module 300 comprises a terminal block 310 and a base 320 made of insulating material. The terminal block 310 comprises a plurality of connection terminals 311 located at the bottom of a lateral well 321 provided in the base 320 and accessible to the connection elements of a plug of the luminaire inserted in the well 321. When the connection module 300 is attached to the flush-mounted box 200, the well 321 is advantageously positioned at a distance from the metal axial element 100 to reduce the risk of short-circuiting. The connection terminals 311 of the terminal block 310 are thus arranged more than 3 mm from the axial element 100.
[0049] The terminal block 310 is secured to the base 320 by clipping. The terminal block 310 is supplied with current by electrical wires extracted from an electrical sheath inserted into the interior volume 201 of the flush-mounted box 200 through one of its passage openings 240.
[0050] The well 321 of the base 320 opens through a mouth 321A onto a front wall 322 of said base 320 (see [Fig.l]).
[0051] The front wall 322 of the base 320 has the shape of a disc whose surface area is greater than the surface area of the front opening 21 1A of the flush-mounted box 200. The front wall 322 has a curved peripheral portion raised towards the rear. When the connection module 300 is fitted into the flush-mounted box 200, the front wall 322 closes the front opening 211A of the flush-mounted box 200 and its curved peripheral portion protrudes from the side wall 211 of the body 210 of the flush-mounted box 200.
[0052] Furthermore, the front wall 322 of the base 320 has a central opening 323 for the passage of the rectilinear end portion 520 of the attachment part 500. When the connection module 300 is mounted in the flush-mounted box 200, the central opening 323 is centered on the central axis A1 and placed opposite the entrance of the axial housing 122 of the sheath 121 of the axial element 100. The section of the central opening 323 is equal to the mounting clearance close to the section of said rectilinear end portion 520 of the attachment part 500.
[0053] Finally, the front wall 322 of the base 320 carries on its rear face a cylindrical central wall 324 which rises around the central opening 323. When the connection module 300 is engaged in the flush-mounting box 200, this central wall 324 surrounds the sheath 121 of the axial element 100 and is fitted onto the front end portion of the intermediate element 250 around the windows 255 to temporarily hold the connection module 300 in place in the interior volume 201 of the flush-mounting box 200 (see [Fig.2]).
[0054] As shown in Figures 2 and 3, the shield 400 is in the general form of a disc. It is advantageously produced by stamping a sheet or a thin plate of aluminum or steel. It has dimensions substantially greater than those of the front wall 322 of the base 320 of the connection module 300 because it is adapted to cover the entire external face of this front wall 322 by projecting beyond it to thus close the front opening 21 IA of the flush-mounted box 200. It then contributes to the fire-resistant performance of the flush-mounted box 200, in particular by blocking the passage of flames through the front opening 21 IA.
[0055] As clearly appears in [Fig. 1], the shield 400 has, in an off-center zone, a first opening 401 whose contour is identical to the contour of the mouth 321A of the well 321 of the base 320 of the electrical connection module 300 housed in the interior volume 201 of the flush-mounted box 200. This first opening 401 is intended to provide access to said mouth 321A and is adapted to be placed in correspondence with the latter. The shield 400 also has in its center, a second orifice 402 whose circular shape and dimensions are identical or similar to those of the central opening 323 of the front wall 322 of the base 320 of the connection module 300. This second orifice 402 is adapted to be placed opposite the central opening 323 of the front wall 322 of the base 320 to be crossed by the rectilinear end part 520 of the attachment part 500.
[0056] Advantageously, the shield 400, made of metal, is fixed to the axial element 100. Thus, the shield 400 is also secured to the retaining cable 3. The wording “fixed to the axial element” means that the shield 400 is attached to the axial element 100 while being in direct or indirect contact (via a third part) with the latter. When the electrical box 1 is embedded in the false ceiling wall 2, this means that the axial element 100 helps to hold the shield 400 upwards. The shield 400 is then suspended from the axial element 100.
[0057] The shield 400 has a peripheral portion 403 which protrudes from the flush-mounted box 200. The peripheral portion 403 is curved towards the rear, which means that it approaches the bottom wall 212 of the body 210 of the flush-mounted box 200, so as to come into contact with the dry wall. The peripheral portion 403 of the shield 400 has an annular shape which thus makes it possible to provide a load return on the dry wall all around the periphery of the circular opening 21 provided for flush-mounted the electrical box 1. As shown in [Fig.l], this curved peripheral portion 403 surrounds a flat central portion 404 of the shield so that the shield 400 more specifically has a cup-like shape (relatively flat). This cup shape is particularly well suited to retaining an intumescent material housed in the interior volume 201 of the flush-mounted box 200.
[0058] As shown in Figures 2 and 3, the shield 400 is fixed to the axial element 100 by being held between the axial element 100 and the attachment part 500, which is advantageously made of a metallic material, more specifically simple or stainless steel. This means that the shield 400 is blocked forwards and backwards by the axial element 100 and the attachment part 500, without necessarily being in direct contact with the latter. The shield 400 is thus sandwiched between the axial element 100 and the attachment part 500. In this case, as shown in [Fig. 2], the shield 400 is in direct contact with the attachment part 500 but the electrical connection module 300 is interposed between the shield 400 and the axial element 100.
[0059] As shown in [Fig.l], the attachment part 500 forms a metal hook 500. This hook 500 comprises a curved attachment handle 510 extended at one end by a straight rod 520 which forms said rectilinear end portion of the attachment part 500 designed to be screwed into the axial housing 122 of the sheath 121 (forming the front fixing means 120 of the axial element 100). The straight rod 520 is therefore provided with the thread complementary to the tapping of the axial housing 122 (thread not shown).
[0060] As shown in [Fig. 2], the straight rod 520 of the hook 510 passes through the shield 400 to be fixed inside the sheath 121 of the axial element 100 (i.e. by the front fixing means 120). The straight rod 520 is more specifically threaded through the second orifice 402 of the shield 400 to engage in the axial housing 122 of the sheath 121. The second orifice 402 of the shield 400 is centered on the central axis A1 (and therefore also on the receiving axis A2).
[0061] The axial element 100 and the straight rod 520 of the hook 500 are arranged in the interior volume 201 of the flush-mounting box 200 and thus rise towards the rear from an internal face 400A of the shield 400 while the hooking handle 510 of the hook 500 extends towards the front from an external face 400B of the shield 400.
[0062] In order to hold the shield 400, the hook 500 comprises a peripheral collar 530 arranged to abut against the external face 400B of the shield 400. The peripheral collar 530 extends projecting from the straight rod 520 of the hook 500 over the entire circumference of said straight rod 520. The peripheral collar 530 is provided at the junction between the hooking handle 510 and the straight rod 520 of the hook 500. The peripheral collar 530 thus blocks the shield 400 towards the front. Alternatively, the hook could be without a peripheral collar, the shield then being blocked by the curved hooking handle of the hook.
[0063] The axial element 100, the shield 400 and the hanging piece 500 remarkably form a suspension accessory 10 of the ceiling luminaire 2 which is adapted to the flush-mounted box 200. Advantageously, the suspension accessory 10 is entirely metallic and therefore very resistant in the event of fire. The suspension accessory 10, that is to say each of its components, is preferably made of steel. Alternatively, the suspension accessory could also be made of galvanized steel or aluminum.
[0064] Furthermore, the suspension accessory 10 and the connection module 300 form an installation assembly 20 of the luminaire, i.e. a suspension and connection assembly of the luminaire, which is adapted to the flush-mounting box 200.
[0065] Advantageously, the electrical box 1 comprises an intumescent material 600 housed in the flush-mounted box 200 behind the front wall 322 of the base 320 of the connection module 300. As clearly shown in [Fig. 2], the intumescent material 600 is in the form of a multi-layer plate comprising three layers. Although it may have different positions and orientations in the interior volume 201 of the flush-mounted box 200, as shown in [Fig. 2], the plate of intumescent material 600 is positioned substantially parallel to the central axis A1 and opposite the well 321 of the connection module 300 relative to the central axis A1. Alternatively, the intumescent material could be in the form of a flexible patch glued against the bottom wall of the body of the flush-mounted box.
[0066] The intumescent material 600 improves the fire-resistant performance of the electrical box 1 since, when exposed to heat, it swells and obstructs the openings of the flush-mounted box 200, in particular the passage openings 240. The expansion of the intumescent material 600 is improved by its multi-layer structure. In the event of a fire, the risk of the intumescent material falling to the ground is low thanks to the shield 400 which retains it in the flush-mounted box 200.
[0067] To install the electrical box 1 in the cavity made in the plasterboard of the false ceiling wall 2, it is first necessary to insert the free end part of the retaining cable 3 into the axial passage 111 of the axial element 100 and to fix it there by fitting.
[0068] The flush-mounting box 200 is then arranged around the axial element 100, in particular by threading the retaining cable 3 through the intermediate element 250 until the axial element 100 is snapped into the intermediate element 250 and then by fitting the intermediate element 250 into the rear opening 212A of the flush-mounting box 200.
[0069] The end of an electrical sheath (housing electrical wires) which runs behind the false ceiling wall is then pulled into the cavity of the false ceiling wall and introduced into the interior volume 201 of the flush-mounted box 200 via a passage opening 240 whose cover 241 has been at least partially torn. The electrical wires are pulled so that a portion of these electrical wires exits the sheath and enters the interior volume 201 of the flush-mounted box 200.
[0070] The body 210 of the flush-mounted box 200 is fixed in the plasterboard using the claw system 220 and the electrical wires coming from the electrical sheath can then be connected to the connection terminals 311 of the terminal block 310.
[0071] The connection module 300 is then engaged in the flush-mounted box 200. The connection module 300 is held temporarily (i.e. until the shield 400 is fixed) by shape complementarity with the flush-mounted box 200. As shown in [Fig. 2], one end of the cylindrical central wall 324 of the connection module 300 is fitted around the intermediate element 250, in particular around the windows 250. Alternatively, means for clipping the connection module with the flush-mounted box could be provided.
[0072] When engaging the connection module 300, the intumescent material 600 is positioned against the connection module 300 so as to be engaged with it in the flush-mounted box 200. It is thus supported by the front wall 322 of the base 320 of the connection module 300.
[0073] The retaining cable 3 is then fixed to the structure of the building, for example by an installer having access to the attic, that is to say to the rear of the false ceiling wall 2. This installer can typically form a loop around a beam of the frame with the retaining cable 3, adjust the tension of the retaining cable 3, then secure the two strands of the loop with a metal pinching element. The retaining cable 3 can also be equipped with an end piece adapted to be fixed by screwing into a structural element of the building.
[0074] The shield 400 is finally positioned and held to the axial element 100 by screwing the straight rod 520 of the hook 500 into the axial housing 122 of the sheath 121 of the axial element 100. Thus fixed to the axial element 100, the shield 400 then blocks the connection module 300 (and the intumescent material 600) in the flush-mounted box 200.
[0075] It will be emphasized that thanks to the front wall 322 of the base 320 made of insulating material, the electrical wires introduced into the interior volume 201 of the flush-mounted box 200 and connected to the connection terminals 311 cannot come into contact with the metal shield 400.
[0076] The invention is not limited to the embodiment described and shown and any variant in accordance with the appended claims may be provided.
[0077] In particular, the shield could be fixed directly to the axial element, for example by screwing the shield around the axial element (one being tapped and the other threaded).
[0078] The axial element may also comprise several metal parts which are integral but distinct from each other. The sheath of the axial element may in particular be formed by a tube attached to the longitudinal structure of the axial element. This tube then receives at one end the longitudinal structure of the axial element and at the other end the straight rod of the hook.
[0079] The metal shield could be positioned not against the front wall of the connection module but at a distance from the latter.
[0080] The hanging part of the luminaire could also have a metal eyelet instead of the hook, for example a screw eyelet intended to be screwed into the sheath of the axial element. The hanging part could also be attached to the axial element other than by screwing, for example by snap-fastening or by a quarter-turn system.
[0081] The metal shield can be obtained by simply cutting a metal side, rather than by stamping. In this case, it would have an essentially flat shape. It can also, instead of being in direct contact with the ceiling, be located a few millimeters from it.
[0082] The front wall of the connection module could have a diameter smaller than the diameter of the flush-mounted box. The front wall could then itself be located in the interior volume of the flush-mounted box, i.e. set back from the front opening of the latter. In this case, the shield could be flat in shape while being in direct contact with the ceiling, for example by being flush with it.
[0083] The level of fire resistance of the suspension accessory can be modified by selecting the materials constituting it. Thus the metal elements can be made of different materials such as steel, stainless steel, aluminum or an aluminum alloy, such as Zamak, the latter allowing in particular production by molding.
[0084] When the flush-mounted box has a non-cylindrical shape, the shield may have a corresponding, non-circular shape, such as a square or rectangular shape.
[0085] The invention intended for a dry wall based on plasterboard can also be used with other types of dry walls, for example a brick-based wall.
