Abstract
Description
Title of the invention: MOTOR VEHICLE COMPRISING AN ON-BOARD HIGH-VOLTAGE CHARGER AND A CONNECTOR PROTECTION DEVICE SIDES OF SAID LOADER, METHOD AND DEVICE BASED ON SUCH A VEHICLE
[0001] The invention relates to the field of motor vehicles comprising an on-board high-voltage charger, arranged in particular under the hood of an electric vehicle. This type of vehicle is illustrated in [Fig.l].
[0002] This type of on-board charger has in certain cases connectors arranged laterally along a Y axis on either side of the charger, which leads to disadvantages from the point of view of electrical protection, particularly in the event of a frontal impact.
[0003] Indeed, several elements can come into contact with these connectors in the event of shocks, which is dangerous for users.
[0004] The objective of the invention is to overcome the defects of the prior art, and in particular to propose a solution for protecting the connectors of the on-board charger arranged in a Y shape, in the event of a frontal impact.
[0005] To achieve this objective, the invention provides a motor vehicle in a spatial reference frame comprising a longitudinal axis along a direction of movement of the motor vehicle; a lateral axis perpendicular to the longitudinal axis, and a vertical axis perpendicular to the longitudinal axis and to the lateral axis, the motor vehicle comprising an on-board charger which has a front side and a rear side along the longitudinal axis, and lateral sides along the lateral axis, the on-board charger being equipped on at least a first lateral side with at least one connection, characterized in that the motor vehicle further comprises a protection device arranged against at least a first rear and / or lateral side of the on-board charger, and in that the protection device comprises at least one protection projection arranged behind said connection with reference to the longitudinal axis, and extending laterally along the lateral axis..
[0006] Advantageously, the invention makes it possible to propose a protection device providing close protection of the connectors against impacts and stacking, in the event of a frontal impact.
[0007] This device protects the Y connectors from attack by the stiffeners and by the surrounding parts (in particular the low voltage battery, the electronic boxes, the master cylinder, etc.).
[0008] Furthermore, the invention makes it possible to have complete protection of the high-voltage connectors by a simple and easy-to-manufacture device, for example made of a metal alloy; it makes it possible to have a maximum level of safety for all cases of frontal impact, even the most severe with high intrusion; it does not significantly modify the processes, the materials, or the performance if the invention is implemented during the manufacture of the on-board charger casing; finally, variations are possible according to the developments of the components because the device can be added during assembly.
[0009] According to a variant, the protective projection has a thickness along the vertical axis which is greater than or equal to the corresponding thickness of said connection.
[0010] This further improves the protection of the connectors connected to the connections of the on-board charger.
[0011] According to a variant, the on-board charger is equipped with several connections on its two lateral sides along the lateral axis, and the protection device is arranged at least against the two lateral sides, and comprises two protection projections arranged behind said connections on each lateral side.
[0012] This makes it possible to be adapted to an on-board charger with several side connectors on both lateral sides of the on-board charger.
[0013] According to a variant, the protection device forms a casing arranged around the front, rear and lateral sides of the on-board charger.
[0014] This provides protection on all sides of the on-board charger.
[0015] According to a variant, said protective projection comprises a first portion extending along the longitudinal axis then a second portion extending along the lateral axis, as well as reinforcing ribs between the first portion and the second portion.
[0016] This makes it possible to reinforce protection against projections.
[0017] According to a variant, the first portion is arranged in front of the second portion with reference to the longitudinal axis.
[0018] This allows for a configuration specific to certain environments of the on-board charger.
[0019] According to a variant, the second portion is arranged in front of the first portion with reference to the longitudinal axis.
[0020] This allows for a configuration specific to certain other environments of the on-board charger.
[0021] According to one variant, the protection device comprises a metal alloy.
[0022] This makes it possible to reinforce the rigidity of the protective projection.
[0023] The invention further relates to a method for protecting an on-board charger of a motor vehicle according to the invention, comprising a step of placing a protection device against the on-board charger so that said protection projection is arranged behind said connection with reference to the longitudinal axis, extending laterally along the lateral axis.
[0024] Another object of the invention relates to a protection device for a motor vehicle according to the invention, comprising said protection projection extending laterally along the lateral axis.
[0025] The invention will be further detailed by the description of non-limiting embodiments, and on the basis of the appended figures illustrating variants of the invention, in which: - [Fig.l] schematically illustrates a view in space of an on-board charger in its environment under a hood of a motor vehicle; - [Fig.2] schematically illustrates a view in space of a protection device according to a first embodiment of the invention; - [Fig.3] schematically illustrates a top view of the protection device of [Fig.2]; - [Fig.4] schematically illustrates a view in space of a protection device according to a second embodiment; - [Fig.5] schematically illustrates a top view of the protection device of [Fig.4]; - [Fig.6] schematically illustrates the impacts in several directions whose effects are prevented by a protective device according to the invention; and - [Fig.7] schematically illustrates two close-up spatial views of the protective projections carrying reinforcing ribs.
[0026] The invention relates to a protection device D and a motor vehicle comprising such a device D.
[0027] The motor vehicle is described in a reference frame in space comprising a longitudinal axis X following a direction of movement of the motor vehicle; a lateral axis Y perpendicular to the longitudinal axis X, and a vertical axis Z perpendicular to the longitudinal axis X and to the lateral axis Y.
[0028] The motor vehicle comprises an on-board charger C illustrated in [Fig.l]. The on-board charger C has a front side and a rear side along the longitudinal axis X, and right and left lateral sides along the lateral axis Y. The on-board charger C is equipped on its lateral sides with several connections C1, C2, C3, C4. More precisely, these connections C1, C2, C3, C4 are connection plugs oriented perpendicular to the lateral axis Y. These connections C1, C2, C3, C4 receive connectors CB1, CB2, CB3, CB4 of connection cables corresponding to laying.
[0029] According to the invention, the vehicle further comprises said protection device D.
[0030] In the first embodiment illustrated in figures 2 and 3, this protection device D forms a rear protection wall MP arranged against the rear side of the on-board charger C.

[0032] Furthermore, according to the invention, the protection device D comprises two protection projections OD, OG, in particular in the form of right and left ears, arranged behind the connections C1, C2, C3, C4, with reference to the longitudinal axis X, and extending laterally along the lateral axis Y.
[0033] In the case of the second embodiment, the lateral parts of the protection device D extend against the lateral sides of the on-board charger C, providing bores for the connections C1, C2, C3, C4 and their respective connectors CB1, CB2, CB3, CB4.
[0034] The protective projections OD, OG have a thickness along the vertical axis Z which is greater than or equal to the corresponding thickness of said connection C1, C2, C3, C4, and preferably that of said respective connectors CB1, CB2, CB3, CB4.
[0035] The protective projections OD, OG comprise a first portion 01 extending along the longitudinal axis X then a second portion 02 extending along the lateral axis Y, so as to have an “L” hook shape.
[0036] On the right protective projection OD, the first portion 01 is arranged in front of the second portion 02 with reference to the longitudinal axis X, and the reverse arrangement is implemented on the left protective projection OG.
[0037] Preferably, the protective projections OD, OG comprise reinforcing ribs N between the first portion 01 and the second portion 02. They are illustrated in detail in [Fig.7].
[0038] The invention further relates to a method for protecting an on-board charger C of a motor vehicle as described above. In this method, the protection device D is placed against the on-board charger C so as to protect the connections C1, C2, C3, C4 and the connectors CB1, CB2, CB3, CB4 of the cables in the event of a frontal impact.
[0039] The invention further relates to a protection device D as described above.
