Description

Title of the invention: CHEF'S JACKET Technical field

[0001] The present invention relates to a chef's jacket. State of the art

[0002] Generally, chef jackets comprise a central body, at the bust, from which extend sleeves, long or short, and a collar.

[0003] The central body of a chef's jacket comprises a back portion and a front portion, also called a front panel, on which the jacket closure is located.

[0004] Typically, chef jackets have a closure with coupling means, for example buttons, arranged in a single row or in two rows on the front panel.

[0005] In use, there is a widespread tendency among those who wear such jackets to undo a few buttons in the upper part of the jacket closure, for example due to the high ambient temperatures typical of the kitchen working environment or for greater comfort during prolonged use of the jacket.

[0006] In this way, however, a flap of the front panel corresponding to the detached part of the front panel remains suspended or, to better understand, hanging.

[0007] This suspended flap can cause inconvenience.

[0008] Indeed, for example, this flap can come into contact with food, and contaminate it, or with cooking fires.

[0009] The flap can also be a nuisance for the person wearing the jacket both from a visual point of view, particularly when leaning forward, and from the point of view of manual operations: for example, it may happen that when moving one hits the flap with one's hands or arms.

[0010] Furthermore, in a professional kitchen, it is important that the chef, or more generally the staff who use the kitchen jacket, maintain appropriate decorum. Statement of the invention

[0061] The chef's jacket 1 comprises a front panel 10, 20 and, preferably, a back panel 30, opposite the front panel 10, 20, which, in use, are positioned respectively at the chest / abdomen and back of the user.

[0062] The jacket 1 preferably has a first side 31 and a second side 32, opposite the first side 31, as well as a first shoulder 35 and a second shoulder 36 to join the front panel 10, 20 to the rear panel 30.

[0063] The jacket 1 preferably has a first sleeve 33 and a second sleeve 34, arranged respectively above the first and second sides 31, 32.

[0064] The jacket 1 has in its upper part a collar 2, defined at least partially by the front panel 10, 20 and by the rear panel 30, and in its lower part a lower edge 5.

[0065] The lower edge 5 is preferably, but not exclusively, a hem.

[0066] Note that the lower edge 5 is positioned at the lower part of the front panel 10, 20, the rear panel 30, the first side 31 and the second side 32.

[0067] The jacket 1 comprises at least a first front panel 10 and a second front panel 20 which can be superimposed on each other.

[0068] Jacket 1 includes a collar 2.

[0069] The jacket 1 comprises a plurality of female elements 11 arranged in succession along the first front panel 10 and a plurality of respective male elements 21 arranged in succession along the second front panel 20, or vice versa.

[0070] In other words, the elements 11 arranged in succession along the first front panel 10 are female or male elements and the respective elements 21 arranged in succession along the second front panel 20 are male or female elements.

[0071] Preferably, the succession of elements 11 along the first front panel 10 is arranged adjacent to a free lateral edge 19 of the first front panel 10.

[0072] The female or male elements 11 may be removably coupled to the respective male or female elements 21 to secure all or part of the first front panel 10 to the second front panel 20.

[0073] The removable coupling between the elements 11 in succession along the first front panel 10 and the elements 21 in succession along the second front panel 20 defines the fixing, total or partial, of the first front panel 10 to the second front panel 20.

[0074] Note that the total or partial fixing of the first front panel 10 to the second front panel 20 determines at least partial superposition between the first front panel 10 and the second front panel 20.

[0075] Note that the coupling between all the female or male elements 11 of the first front panel 10 and all the respective male or female elements 21 of the second front panel 20 determines a closed configuration of the jacket 1.

[0076] The first front panel 10 has a foldable flap 15, defining at least a portion of the collar 2.

[0077] In other words, at least a portion of the foldable flap 15 defines at least a part of the neck 2.

[0078] Note that the foldable flap 15 is arranged in an upper area, in use, of the first front panel 10 and, in particular, is arranged in an upper end portion of the first front panel 10 defining at least part of the neck 2.

[0079] The foldable flap 15 comprises one or more of said female elements 11, or male elements 11, to determine a closing or an opening of the neck 2.

[0080] To better clarify, the elements 11 arranged on the foldable flap 15 are the upper elements, with reference to the jacket 1 in use, of the succession of elements 11 along the first front panel 10. The coupling, or the uncoupling, of these elements 11, female or male, arranged on the foldable flap 15 with the respective elements 21, male or female, located on the second front panel 20 determines the closing, or the opening, of the collar 2.

[0081] The jacket 1 comprises at least one blocking element 16 arranged on the first front panel 10 on the opposite side relative to the succession of female elements 11, or male elements 11.

[0082] The locking element 16 can be removably coupled to the foldable flap 15 so as to lock the foldable flap 15 in a folded position RL

[0083] The folded position RI of the foldable flap 15 defines a lapel 3 of the jacket 1.

[0084] Advantageously, locking the foldable flap 15 in the folded position RI makes it possible to prevent the foldable flap 15 itself from remaining suspended when the elements 11, female or male, arranged on the foldable flap 15 are uncoupled from the respective elements 21, male or female, arranged on the second front panel 20.

[0085] Advantageously, locking the foldable flap 15 in the folded position RI ensures that the neck 2 remains open.

[0086] Advantageously, locking the foldable flap 15 in the folded position RI allows personnel using the kitchen jacket to maintain appropriate decorum.

[0087] In other words, the jacket 1 described in the present invention makes it possible to detach an upper portion of the front panel 10 defining a part of the collar 2 and to block it by folding it on itself so that it does not remain suspended, thus avoiding inconvenience and in order to preserve the decorum of the personnel using the jacket 1 itself.

[0088] According to one aspect of the description, the locking element 16 disposed on the first front panel 10 is configured to mate with a respective coupling element 17 disposed on the foldable flap 15 in a portion defining at least a part of the collar 2 to lock the foldable flap 15 in the folded position RI defining the lapel 3 of the jacket 1.

[0089] In other words, the foldable flap 15 comprises a coupling element 17 configured to couple to the locking element 16 to lock the foldable flap 15 itself in the folded position RL

[0090] Essentially, the coupling between the locking element 16 and the coupling element 17 locks the foldable flap 15 in the folded position RI defining the lapel 3 of the jacket 1.

[0091] In one embodiment, the locking element 16 disposed on the first front panel 10 is a male element and the coupling element 17 disposed on the foldable flap 15 is a female element.

[0092] In an alternative embodiment, the locking element 16 disposed on the first front panel 10 is a female element and the coupling element 17 disposed on the foldable flap 15 is a male element.

[0093] Preferably, the coupling element 17 arranged on the foldable flap 15 corresponds to one of said female or male elements 11, arranged in succession on the along the first front panel 10 and the locking element 16 is, respectively, in the form of a male or female element.

[0094] In a preferred embodiment, the succession of female or male elements 11 along the first front panel 10 has a constant pitch and the respective succession of male or female elements 21 along the second front panel 20 has the same constant pitch.

[0095] Preferably, in the folded position RI of the foldable flap 15, the reverse 3 defines a folding edge 4.

[0096] According to a first embodiment, in the folded position RI of the foldable flap 15, a first distance PI, a second distance P2 and a third distance P3 are defined.

[0097] The first distance PI corresponds to the distance between the point of the foldable flap 15 most distal to the folding edge 4 and the lower point of the folding edge 4.

[0098] The second distance P2 corresponds to the distance between the female or male element 11 of the first front panel 10 coupled to the respective male or female element 21 of the second front panel 20 most proximal to the folding edge 4 and a lower edge 5 of the jacket 1.

[0099] The third distance P3 corresponds to the distance between the female or male element 11 of the first front panel 10 coupled to the respective male or female element 21 of the second front panel 20 most proximal to said lower edge 5 of the jacket 1 and the lower edge 5.

[0100] The first, second and third distances PI, P2, P3 have predefined lengths.

[0101] Advantageously, these distances having predefined lengths make it possible to block the foldable flap 15 in the folded position RI in a predefined manner: the first, second and third distances PI, P2, P3 having predefined lengths determine a predefined positioning of the blocking element 16 and of the coupling element 17.

[0102] Preferably, these predefined lengths determine a perfect superposition of the foldable flap 15 on the first front panel 10 in the folded position RI of the foldable flap 15.

[0103] Below are reported different embodiments of the jacket 1 corresponding to different lengths of said first, second and third distances P1, P2, P3.

[0104] As illustrated in [Fig.5] these lengths of first, second and third distances PI, P2, P3 correspond to different sizes of the jacket 1, in particular of a jacket 1 for men.

[0105] Please note that the sizes indicated below are indicative and not limiting.

[0106] Advantageously, the jacket 1 can adapt to the morphology of any user. Indeed, for each size of the jacket 1, the lengths indicated in the table for the first, second and third distances PI, P2, P3 ensure that the foldable flap 15 can be locked in the folded position RI by coupling between the locking element 16 and the coupling element 17.

[0107] In one embodiment, corresponding to a size “XXS”, the first distance P1 is equal to 19.0 cm, the second distance P2 is equal to 40.5 cm and the third distance P3 is equal to 13.0 cm.

[0114] In one embodiment, corresponding to a size “3XL”, the first distance P1 is equal to 20.5 cm, the second distance P2 is equal to 49.0 cm and the third distance P3 is equal to 13.0 cm.

[0115] In one embodiment, corresponding to a size “4XL”, the first distance P1 is equal to 20.5 cm, the second distance P2 is equal to 50.0 cm and the third distance P3 is equal to 13.0 cm.

[0116] In one embodiment, corresponding to a size “5XL”, the first distance P1 is equal to 21.0 cm, the second distance P2 is equal to 50.0 cm and the third distance P3 is equal to 13.0 cm.

[0117] Preferably, considering the embodiments having first, second and third distances PI, P2, P3 of predefined lengths, in the folded position RI of the foldable flap 15, the two female or male elements 11 of the first front panel 10 most proximal to the neck 2 are uncoupled from the two respective male or female elements 21 of the second front panel 20 most proximal to the neck 2.

[0118] In other words, in these embodiments, the folded position RI of the foldable flap 15 preferably presupposes the uncoupling of the two upper elements 11, in use, of the first front panel 10 from the two respective upper elements 21, in use, of the second front panel 20.

[0119] According to a second embodiment, in the folded position RI of the foldable flap 15, a first distance D1, a second distance D2 and a third distance D3 are defined.

[0120] The first distance Dl corresponds to the distance between the point of the foldable flap 15 most distal to the folding edge 4 and the lower point of the folding edge 4.

[0121] The second distance D2 corresponds to the distance between the female or male element 11 of the first front panel 10 coupled to the respective male or female element 21 of the second front panel 20 most proximal to the folding edge 4 and a lower edge 5 of the jacket 1.

[0122] The third distance D3 corresponds to the distance between the female or male element 11 of the first front panel 10 coupled to the respective male or female element 21 of the second front panel 20 most proximal to said lower edge 5 of the jacket 1 and the lower edge 5.

[0123] The first, second and third distances D1, D2, D3 have predefined lengths.

[0124] Advantageously, these distances having predefined lengths make it possible to block the foldable flap 15 in the folded position RI in a predefined manner: the first, second and third distances D1, D2, D3 having predefined lengths determine a predefined positioning of the blocking element 16 and of the coupling element 17.

[0125] Preferably, these predefined lengths determine a perfect superposition of the foldable flap 15 on the first front panel 10 in the folded position RI of the foldable flap 15.

[0126] Below are reported different embodiments of the jacket 1 corresponding to different lengths of said first, second and third distances D1, D2, D3.

[0127] As illustrated in [Fig.6] these lengths of first, second and third distances Dl, D2, D3 correspond to different sizes of jacket 1, in particular of a women's jacket 1.

[0128] Advantageously, the jacket 1 can adapt to the morphology of any user. Indeed, for each size of the jacket 1, the lengths indicated in the table for the first, second and third distances D1, D2, D3 ensure that the foldable flap 15 can be locked in the folded position RI by coupling between the locking element 16 and the coupling element 17.

[0129] In one embodiment, corresponding to a size “XS”, the first distance D1 is equal to 28.0 cm, the second distance D2 is equal to 33.0 cm and the third distance D3 is equal to 15.5 cm.
