Abstract

Journey optimization platform to reduce toll costs and optimize routes. The invention relates to a platform capable of presenting the user with possible exit options based on a start and end address in order to optimize the cost of their journey. Current applications for planning motorway journeys lack features that allow for toll cost optimization. Users need an innovative solution to minimize expenses related to motorway journeys, taking into account the different exits and associated costs. The application offers an advanced solution for planning motorway journeys while minimizing toll costs. It allows the user to define a start and end point, accurately calculating the potential costs for each motorway exit.By presenting several alternative routes, the application offers optimal solutions taking into account the speed of the journey and the number of exits required. The application is designed for the user (individual or company) seeking to reduce their expenses during their motorway journeys while choosing routes optimized in terms of toll costs. Description

Title of the invention: Journey optimization platform to reduce toll costs and optimize routes

[0001] This invention consists of a mobile application allowing users to plan which highway exits to take in order to save on toll costs.

[0002] Existing applications for journey planning have limitations in accurately accounting for toll costs. They do not provide an analysis of the various possible tariffs considering each motorway exit and do not offer the best cost optimizations for users. In addition, it is not possible to give one's departure and arrival address. However, it is necessary to define the departure motorway entrance and the arrival motorway exit.

[0003] The application aims to address these shortcomings by providing a simple platform capable of geolocating the user's address, or entering their starting address, and entering their arrival destination. It then performs a precise calculation of all possible fares, taking into account each motorway exit to present the user with the best cost optimization options for their journey.

[0004] This invention makes it possible to overcome the drawbacks with the following characteristics: a. Entry of departure and arrival addresses: The application offers the user the possibility of specifying their departure address, which can be geolocated, as well as their final destination. b. Calculation of tariffs: Process of evaluating and presenting the different possible toll costs depending on the motorway exits used. c. Cost Optimization: Using built-in algorithms, the application identifies and presents the user with the best cost optimizations among the different possible routes. These optimizations allow the user to save on tolls without compromising the overall journey time. d. Fastest route: The app prioritizes the fastest route while taking into account potential toll savings. This ensures a seamless user experience while offering significant savings.

[0005] The application offers a complete solution for users by taking into account the criteria of toll cost and speed of the motorway journey, thus allowing them to choose the most advantageous route in financial terms while guaranteeing optimal journey time.

[0006] The application collects data from the start and end points provided by the user, either via geolocation or manual entry. It maps the planned route, identifying the various potential motorway exits. Using map data and information from all motorway pricing, the application estimates the toll costs for each section of the route and for different vehicle classes. It compiles this information to present the user with a detailed view of the costs associated with each portion of the route.

[0007] An integrated algorithm analyzes the pricing data as well as possible alternative routes taking into account different vehicle classes. It identifies route options that optimize toll costs.

[0008] A regular update mechanism is integrated to ensure that pricing and mapping data are up to date. Maintenance tools are included to ensure the proper functioning of the application and the correction of any technical problems.

[0009] As a non-limiting example, for a journey from point A to Z via all points B, C, D, E, ..., if this motorway journey costs €10.00, the application will calculate all possible costs with a single exit (from A to B then B to Z, from A to C then C to Z, ...), then with two exits, then with three exits, ... If, with one exit, the journey A to C costs €1.20 and the journey C to Z costs €8.00, the most optimized total journey with one exit via C then costs €1.20 + €8.00 = €9.20. All journeys with the most optimized costs ranging from one to three exits are presented to the user.

[0010] The accompanying drawings illustrate the invention:

[0011] [Fig. 1] represents the final result with the savings made depending on the number of exits, as well as the list of exits to take to make these savings

[0012] [Fig.2] represents the possibility of choosing your departure and arrival address, or of geolocate

[0013] [Fig.3] represents the main interface of the application
