Abstract

A gelled electrolyte for a lithium electrochemical cell, the electrolyte comprising:a) a matrix consisting of a linear, non-chemically crosslinked polyurethane polymer comprising at least one polycarbonate segment and optionally one or more segments selected from a polycarbonate, a polyether, a fluorinated or perfluorinated polyether, a polysiloxane,b) one or more organic solvents and one or more lithium salts incorporated in the matrix,the gelled electrolyte not including inorganic particles. A gelled electrolyte comprising:a) a matrix consisting of a non-crosslinked polyhydroxyurethane,b) one or more organic solvents and one or more lithium salts incorporated in the matrix.
