Hair treatment composition with cationic surfactant, fatty alcohols and low polar oil

Abstract

HAIR TREATMENT COMPOSITION WITH CATIONIC SURFACTANT, FATTY ALCOHOLS, AND LOW POLAR OIL Hair treatment compositions and methods of treating hair using the compositions are disclosed. The hair treatment compositions include: (a) one or more cationic surfactants; (b) one or more solid fatty alcohols; (c) one or more liquid fatty alcohols; (d) one or more low polar oils having a polarity index of about 23 mN / m to about 40 mN / m; and (e) water; wherein a weight ratio of a combination of (c) and (d) to a combination of (a) and (b) is about 0.5:1 to about 3:1 (((c)+(d)):((a)+(b))). The hair treatment compositions are particularly useful in methods of detangling, aligning, and smoothing hair. Figure for the abstract: none
