Description

Title of the invention: Fastening assembly comprising a connecting rod and a tenon Technical field of the invention

[0001] The present invention relates, in general, to connecting rods and the assembly of a connecting rod yoke and a tenon for fixing a connecting rod and a tenon on a fixing shaft.

[0002] More specifically, the invention relates to a fastening assembly comprising a fastening shaft, a connecting rod provided with two connecting portions, and a tenon. Prior art

[0003] An existing fixing assembly 1, as shown in [Fig.1], includes a connecting rod clevis 2 provided with two connecting portions 3 and 4, and a tenon 5 mounted on a fixing shaft 6 for fixing the connecting rod 2 and the tenon 5 around the fixing axis X.

[0004] The two connecting portions 3 and 4 are generally formed of a carbon fiber reinforced plastic material and the tenon is formed of metal such as aluminium.

[0005] Conventionally, two contact rings 7 and 8 are also interposed radially between the fixing shaft 6 and the connecting portions 3 and 4.

[0006] The proximity and contacts resulting from the fixing of the connecting rod 2 and the tenon 5 lead to the appearance of galvanic corrosion at the interface between the connecting portions 3 and 4 and the tenon 5. However, this phenomenon leads to premature wear of the fixing assembly 1.

[0007] In order to eliminate this risk of galvanic corrosion, it is known to deposit a layer 9, 10 of glass fiber reinforced plastic material, generally in the form of a fold, on the surface of the connecting portions 3 and 4 coming into contact with the tenon 5.

[0008] However, the addition of such a layer 9, 10 on the connecting portions of the connecting rod increases the weight of the fastening assembly 1.

[0009] Given its nature and manufacturing steps, layer 9, 10 makes obtaining the fastening assembly 1 also particularly expensive.

[0010] Furthermore, the presence of glass fibers in layer 9, 10 does not allow the carbon fibers of the carbon fiber reinforced plastic material of the connecting portions 3 and 4 of the connecting rod 2 to be recycled after disposal of the fastening assembly 1. Summary of the invention

[0011] The invention therefore aims to remedy these drawbacks and to offer a simple and quick-to-implement configuration of a fastening assembly including a fixing shaft, a connecting rod and a tenon to eliminate the appearance of galvanic corrosion at the interface between the connecting rod and the tenon.

[0012] A fixing assembly is therefore proposed comprising a fixing shaft, a connecting rod provided with first and second connecting portions and a tenon, the first and second connecting portions of the connecting rod and the tenon being positioned around said fixing shaft, the tenon being disposed on the fixing shaft axially between the first and second connecting portions of the connecting rod.

[0013] In addition, the fastening assembly includes:

[0014] - a first set of contacts interposed radially between the bore of the first connecting portion of the connecting rod and the fixing shaft, the first contact assembly comprising first and second rings fitted at least partially into one another, the second ring being positioned in the bore of the first ring, at least one of the first and second rings bearing axially against a first lateral face of the tenon or opposite said first lateral face, and

[0046] Figure 2 illustrates a fastening assembly 11 according to a first embodiment of the invention. The fastening assembly comprises a connecting rod 12 and a tenon 13.

[0047] The connecting rod 12 includes at least one forked end forming a connecting rod yoke and comprising first and second connecting portions, respectively 14 and 15.

[0048] The first connecting portion 14 comprises a first face 14b and a second face 14c axially opposite to the first face 14b. The thickness of the first connecting portion 14 is delimited by the first and second faces 14b and 14c.

[0049] Similarly, the second connecting portion 15 comprises a first face 15b and a second face 15c axially opposite to the first face 15b. The thickness of the second connecting portion 15 is delimited by the first and second faces 15b and 15c.

[0051] In addition, the tenon 13 is arranged on the fixing shaft 16 axially between the first and second connecting portions 14 and 15 of the connecting rod 12.

[0052] The tenon 13 comprises a first lateral face 13a and a second lateral face 13b axially opposed to the first lateral face 13a of the tenon 13. The first and second lateral faces 13a and 13b define the thickness of the tenon 13. The tenon 13 also comprises a bore 13c bearing against the outer surface of the fixing axis 16.

[0053] The fastening assembly 11 further includes first and second contact assemblies, respectively 17 and 18.

[0054] The first contact set 17 is interposed radially between the bore 14a of the first connecting portion 14 of the connecting rod 12 and the fixing shaft 16.

[0055] The first contact set 17 comprises a first outer ring 19 and a second inner ring 20 fitted into each other.

[0056] The first ring 19 advantageously comprises an axial portion 19a having a bore 19b, an outer surface 19c radially opposite to the bore 19b, and first and second frontal faces 19d and 19e axially opposite and which delimit the axial length of the axial portion 19a.

[0057] The second ring 20 advantageously comprises an axial portion 20a having a bore 20b, an outer surface 20c radially opposite to the bore 20b, and first and second front faces 20d and 20e axially opposite and delimiting the axial length of the axial portion 20a.

[0058] The second ring 20 is positioned in the bore 19b of the first ring 19 so that the outer surface 20c of the second ring 20 is positioned in contact with the bore 19b of the first ring 19.

[0059] The second contact set 18 is interposed radially between the bore 15a of the second connecting portion 15 of the connecting rod 12 and the fixing shaft 16.

[0061] The third ring 21 advantageously comprises an axial portion 21a having a bore 21b, an outer surface 21c radially opposite to the bore 21b, and first and second front faces 21d and 21e axially opposite and which delimit the axial length of the axial portion 21a.

[0062] The fourth ring 22 advantageously comprises an axial portion 22a having a bore 22b, an outer surface 22c radially opposite to the bore 22b, and first and second front faces 22d and 22e axially opposite and delimiting the axial length of the axial portion 22a.

[0063] The fourth ring 22 is positioned in the bore 21b of the third ring 21 so that the outer surface 22c of the fourth ring 22 is positioned in contact with the bore 21b of the third ring 21.

[0064] The bore 20b of the axial portion 20 of the second ring 20 and the bore 22b of the axial portion 22 of the fourth ring 22 are positioned against the outer surface of the fixing shaft 16.

[0065] The outer surface 19c of the axial portion 19 of the first ring 19 and the outer surface 21c of the axial portion 21 of the third ring 21 are positioned, respectively, against the bore 14a of the first connecting portion 14 and against the bore 15a of the second connecting portion 15.

[0066] The first and second rings 19 and 20 are fixed to the fixing assembly 11 by press fitting between the first connecting portion 14 of the connecting rod 12 and the fixing shaft 16.

[0067] Similarly, the third and fourth rings 21 and 22 are fixed to the fixing assembly 11 by press fitting between the second connecting portion 15 of the connecting rod 12 and the fixing shaft 16.

[0068] In the example illustrated in [Fig.2], the first ring 19 comes axially to rest against a first lateral face 13a of the tenon 13 and the third ring 21 comes axially to rest against the second lateral face 13b of the tenon 13.

[0069] In addition, a first axial space 23 is provided between the first connecting portion 14 of the connecting rod 12 and the first face 13a of the tenon 13.

[0070] Similarly, a second axial space 24 is provided between the second connecting portion 15 of the connecting rod 12 and the second face 13b of the tenon 13.

[0071] Such a configuration of the fastening assembly 11 makes it possible to eliminate by a simple, quick and inexpensive means the risks of the appearance of galvanic corrosion linked to the contacts between the connecting rod 12 and the tenon 13.

[0072] The contact between the first ring 19 and the tenon 13 and the contact between the second ring 20 and the tenon 13 make it possible to provide, respectively, the first axial space 23 and the second axial space 24 and thus to keep the first and second connecting portions 14, 15 of the connecting rod 12 at a distance from the tenon 13.

[0073] Furthermore, the presence of the first and second axial spaces 23 and 24 between the first and second connecting portions 14, 15 of the connecting rod 12 and the tenon 13 eliminates the need for a smooth surface on the first faces 14b, 15b of the first and second connecting portions 14, 15. The manufacture of the fastening assembly 11 does not require a machining step of the first faces 14b and 15b of the first and second connecting portions 14, 15. As-cast first and second connecting portions 14, 15 can be used.

[0074] The contact assembly 17 is installed by fitting the first and second rings 19 and 20 between the first connecting portion 14 of the connecting rod 12 and the mounting shaft 16, and installing the contact assembly 18 is achieved by fitting the third and fourth rings 21 and 22 into the second connecting portion 15 of the connecting rod 12.

[0075] This press-fit assembly does not require any additional means for fixing the contact assemblies 17 and 18, such as glue. Installation is simple and quick, without requiring, as would be the case for fixing by gluing, any preparation time for the inner surface of the connecting rod 12 and the outer surface of the fixing shaft 16, nor any time for setting, curing, or cleaning.

[0076] In the illustrated example, the first and second rings 19 and 20 come axially to bear against the first lateral face 13a of the tenon 13, and the third and fourth rings 21 and 22 come axially to bear against the second lateral face 13b of the tenon 13.

[0077] The first front face 19d of the axial portion 19a of the first ring 19 and the first front face 20d of the axial portion 20a of the second ring 20 are positioned in contact with the first lateral face 13a of the tenon 13.

[0078] In addition, the first front face 21d of the axial portion 21a of the third ring 21 and the first front face 22d of the axial portion 22a of the fourth ring 22 are positioned in contact with the second lateral face 13b of the tenon 13.
