Abstract
Description
Title of the invention: INVERTER INTENDED TO BE MOUNTED ON AN ELECTRIC MOTOR OF AN ELECTRIC OR HYBRID MOTOR VEHICLE
[0001] The invention relates to the electric motors of electric or hybrid motor vehicles, and more particularly to the inverters present on these electric motors.
[0002] Known from the prior art is an inverter intended for an electric motor of an electric or hybrid motor vehicle. The vehicle includes a battery for storing and transmitting electrical energy. The inverter is electrically connected, by a high-voltage power cable, to the battery of said vehicle to power the electric motor. The battery delivers a direct current. The inverter therefore has the role of transforming the direct current from said battery into an alternating current, which will power the electric motor. In the prior art, the inverter includes two casings in which are located the ogives of an HVDC electrical connector (acronym meaning in English High Voltage Direct Current), an electromagnetic compatibility filter and interconnection bars. The assembly of the interconnection bars is carried out through two nuts positioned opposite the ogives of the HVDC electrical connector. The nuts are accessible through a hatch, which is closed by a closing plate. The closing plate is attached to the inverter by four fixing screws. The closing plate has a gasket. However, there are still disadvantages. Indeed, the inverter assembly time is considerable to fix the interconnection bars, tighten the nuts, and install and secure the closing plate. In addition, the inverter is made heavier by the addition of these elements. This also adds additional cost to the design of each inverter.
[0003] The objective of the present invention is to remedy these drawbacks, and in particular to facilitate the assembly and reduce the time taken to install said inverters on electric motors.
[0004] To achieve this objective, the invention proposes an inverter intended to be mounted on an electric motor of an electric or hybrid motor vehicle, said inverter comprising a first casing and a second casing, said first casing comprising an HVDC electrical connector, said electrical connector comprising a first nose cone and a second nose cone, said second casing comprising an electromagnetic compatibility filter, said electromagnetic compatibility filter comprising at least one interconnection bar, remarkable in that said second casing comprises a first opening and a second opening, the first opening being positioned opposite the first warhead, the second opening being positioned opposite the second warhead, said first opening comprising a first shutter and a first seal, said second opening comprising a second shutter and a second seal, said first shutter and said second shutter each having an end comprising an imprint.
[0005] Thanks to the invention, the assembly of the inverter is made easier, faster and less expensive.
[0006] Advantageously, said imprint is a hollow hexagonal imprint.
[0007] The hexagonal recess allows easy tightening or loosening of the first shutter and the second shutter.
[0008] Advantageously, said first shutter is made of electrically conductive material and said second shutter is made of electrically insulating material.
[0009] Advantageously, said second casing is made of electrically conductive material, said first shutter and said second shutter being made of electrically insulating material.
[0010] This makes it possible to limit the transmission of electrical energy likely to injure a technician coming to install or disassemble said inverter.
[0011] Preferably, said second casing is made of aluminum, said first shutter and said second shutter being made of plastic.
[0012] Advantageously, said first shutter and said second shutter each have a cylindrical shape, said first opening and said second opening each being of circular shape.
[0013] Preferably, said first seal and said second seal have a toric shape.
[0014] This preserves the waterproofness of the inverter. This prevents water infiltration which could cause a short circuit.
[0015] Advantageously, said first warhead and said second warhead each have an external thread.
[0016] The external thread allows the interconnecting bars to be tightened onto the warheads.
[0017] Furthermore, the invention relates to an electric or hybrid motor vehicle comprising an electric motor comprising an inverter as previously described.
[0018] The invention will be further detailed by the description of a non-limiting embodiment, and on the basis of the appended figure illustrating the invention, in which [Fig.l] schematically illustrates an inverter intended to be mounted on an electric motor of an electric or hybrid motor vehicle according to one embodiment.
[0019] [Fig.l] schematically illustrates an inverter 100 intended to be mounted on an electric motor of an electric or hybrid motor vehicle. The vehicle comprises a battery in which electrical energy is stored before being distributed in part to the electric motor. The inverter 100 is an electronic device whose role is to convert a direct current source, in particular the direct current emanating from said battery, into an alternating current used to power said electric motor. The inverter 100 comprises a first casing 1 and a second casing 2. The first casing 1 and the second casing 2 ensure the electrical insulation of the electrical components they contain while preventing the infiltration of liquid, and in particular water, which would be likely to cause a short circuit or even a fire. The first casing 1 comprises an HVDC electrical connector (acronym meaning High Voltage Direct Current in English). The HVDC electrical connector is designed to allow the connection and transmission of electrical energy in high voltage direct current. The electrical connector comprises a first ogive 3a and a second ogive 3b. The second casing 2 comprises an electromagnetic compatibility filter 4. The electromagnetic compatibility filter 4 is an electronic device designed to reduce or eliminate electromagnetic interference in electronic circuits. Indeed, electromagnetic interference is likely to disrupt the normal operation of electronic equipment present near the source of this electromagnetic interference. The electromagnetic compatibility filter 4 comprises at least one interconnection bar 5. The interconnection bar 5 is an electrical element used to connect several electrical component elements together in order to circulate electrical energy between the different electrical components. The interconnection bar is made of electrically conductive material, for example copper or aluminum. The interconnection bar 5 is capable of being clamped around said first warhead 3a and said second warhead 3b. In the context of the invention, said at least one interconnection bar 5 therefore allows the distribution of electrical energy between the electromagnetic compatibility filter 4 and the electrical connector via the first warhead 3a and the second warhead 3b. The second casing 2 comprises a first opening and a second opening. The first opening is positioned opposite the first warhead 3a and the second opening is positioned opposite the second warhead 3b. The first opening comprises a first shutter 6a while the second opening comprises a second shutter 6b. The first shutter 6a is fitted in a sealed manner into said first opening thanks to the presence of a first seal 7a.In the same way, the second shutter 6b is fitted in a sealed manner into said second opening thanks to the presence of a second seal 7b. The first shutter 6a and the second shutter 6b each have an end 8a, 8b. On each of the ends 8a, 8b is located an imprint 9a, 9b. Preferably, each imprint 9a, 9b is a hexagonal hollow imprint. The hexagonal hollow imprints. provide a firm grip allowing easy tightening or loosening of the first shutter 6a and / or the second shutter 6b. According to a first embodiment, said first shutter 6a is made of electrically conductive material and said second shutter 6b is made of electrically insulating material. Preferably, the surfaces in contact with, respectively, said first opening and said second opening are made of electrically insulating material. Thus, electrical transmission is avoided between the first shutter 6a and the second casing 2, as well as between said second shutter 6b and said second casing 2. In addition, said second component is also present at said ends 8a, 8b so that said technician carrying out the assembly or disassembly of the first shutter 6a and / or the second shutter 6b does not suffer an electrocution due to the electrical transmission. In a second embodiment, said second casing 2 is made of electrically conductive material while said first shutter 6a and said second shutter 6b are made of electrically insulating material. Preferably, said second casing 2 is made of aluminum while the first shutter 6a and the second shutter 6b are made of plastic. This makes it possible to preserve the safety of the technician who comes to mount or dismount the inverter 100 by inserting the first shutter 6a and the second shutter 6b into, respectively, said first opening and said second opening. Advantageously, the first shutter 6a and the second shutter 6b each have a cylindrical shape, the first opening and the second opening being circular in shape. Preferably, the first seal 7a and the second seal 7b have a toric shape to respectively enclose the first shutter 6a and the second shutter 6b.Preferably, said first warhead 3a and said second warhead 3b each have an external thread to allow the tightening of said at least one interconnecting bar 5 on said first warhead 3a and on said second warhead 3b.
[0020] Furthermore, the invention relates to an electric or hybrid motor vehicle comprising an electric motor on which an inverter 100 as previously described is mounted.
