Abstract

Title of the invention: Packaging system for food products. Technical field.

[0001] The invention relates to the field of food packaging. Technological background

[0002] Various types of food packaging are known for containing food products. Such food products can be takeaway items, for example, fast food.

[0003] Traditionally, in order to offer a variety of food products simultaneously, food service outlets use separate packaging for each food item. These separate packages require a table, or similar surface, to allow customers to have a free hand to consume one of the food items. There is room for improvement in terms of the ease of use of existing food packaging. Summary of the invention

[0004] One idea underlying the invention is to provide a more practical food packaging system for the user. The invention therefore aims to provide a food packaging system that allows a user to have one hand free to consume the packaged food products, while carrying them in the other hand.

[0005] According to one embodiment, the invention provides a packaging system for food products, comprising: - a shell comprising a rectangular flat main wall normal to a vertical direction, the vertical direction being parallel to the direction of gravity, a first and a second rectangular flat side walls, an inner face and an outer face being defined on the flat main wall and the first and second side walls extending from the inner face of the main wall in the vertical direction, the main wall and the first and second side walls being secant in pairs along a common edge so as to form a right trihedron made around a common vertex, the flat main wall having a gripping tab located in a corner opposite the common vertex of the right trihedron; - a basin having a bottom wall, a circumferential side wall connected to the bottom wall and a cavity delimited by the circumferential side wall and the bottom wall, and opening through an opening at an end edge of the basin on a side opposite the bottom wall.

Packaging system according to any one of claims 1 to 3, wherein the gripping tab (24) of the main flat wall (21) has a snap-on member (28) projecting from the inner face (26), and being able to cooperate by snap-on with the circumferential side wall (52) of the cup when the gripping tab (24) is inserted into the first slot (60).

Packaging system according to any one of claims 1 to 4, wherein the shell (20) is a first shell, the packaging system comprises a second shell (20) identical to the first shell, and the first shell and the second shell are configured to jointly form a closed rectangular parallelepiped box (15) by reversibly interlocking one with the other in an interlocking state, the main wall (21) of the first shell (20) forming the bottom wall of the box (15) and the main wall (21) of the second shell (20) forming the top wall of the box (15).

Packaging system according to claim 7, wherein an external face (240) of the gripping tab (24) is defined parallel to an external face (27) of each main wall (21), and wherein a dimension (H) of the cup in the vertical direction (Z) is greater than a dimension (D) between the external faces (240) of two gripping tabs (24) located vertically above each other.

9. Packaging system according to the preceding claim, wherein a first gripping tab (24) of the second box (15) is inserted into the first slot (60), and a first gripping tab (24) of the first box is inserted into the second slot (61).

Packaging system according to the preceding claim, wherein the tray (50) is a first tray and the packaging system comprises a second tray (50), wherein a second gripping tab (24) of the second box (15) is inserted into the first slot (60) of the second tray (50), and a second gripping tab (24) of the first box (15) is inserted into the second slot (61) of the second tray (50).
