[0001] The technical field concerns sheet metal assemblies by crimping and motor vehicles having such assemblies.
[0002] For car manufacturers, the quality of their vehicles' finish and their aesthetic aspects are essential to stand out from other brands. Therefore, manufacturers are making many efforts to constantly improve these areas.
[0003] In this context, certain body parts, such as the engine hood, are provided with seals to protect against the intrusion of water, snow or dust into an area to be protected. Thus, the engine hood of a vehicle is sometimes equipped with a seal extending along a seam formed between the hood skin and its lining. To date, the sealing gaskets are often attached using adhesive or fixing clips placed on the lining.

Assembly (1) of sheets for a vehicle body (2) comprising at least two sheets (3), respectively forming a bodywork element (4) and a lining (5), the sheets (3) each extending between a respective inner face (6) and outer face (7), the lining (5) being assembled on the bodywork element (4) so that the respective inner faces (6) are arranged opposite one another, the bodywork element (4) and the lining (5) being joined to one another, along a common periphery (8), by a crimping (9) extending over at least a portion of the common periphery (8) and in which the bodywork element (4) covers a crimping zone (10) of the outer face (7) of the lining (5), the assembly (1) comprising a sheet metal rim (11) projecting from the crimping zone (10) and the outer face (7) of the lining (5), the rim (11) extending along at least part of the common periphery (8),the sheet metal edge (11) being designed to be introduced into a groove (12) for fixing a sealing gasket (13) to ensure the fixing of the gasket (13) on at least part of the common periphery (8).,
2. Assembly (1) according to claim 1, characterized in that the rim (11) projects from the lining (5) substantially orthogonally to the outer face (7) of the lining (5).

5. Assembly (1) according to one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the rim (11) is formed from a third sheet metal crimped between the inner faces (6) of the bodywork element (4) and the lining (5).
6. Assembly (1) according to one of claims 1 to 5, characterized in that it comprises a sealing joint (13) forming a profile delimiting a fixing groove (12), the rim (11) being introduced into the fixing groove (12), the joint (13) extending over at least part of the common periphery (8).
7. Assembly (1) according to claim 6, characterized in that the joint (13) is formed by injection of at least two plastic materials.
8. Assembly (1) according to one of claims 1 to 7, characterized in that the bodywork element (4) forms an engine hood skin.
