Title of the invention: Anti-clip loss interior trim.
[0001] The technical field relates to passenger compartment trims designed to be stapled, assemblies comprising such trim and at least one staple, vehicle passenger compartments comprising at least one such assembly and finally motor vehicles having such a passenger compartment.
[0002] Automobile manufacturers are particularly focused on reducing the time and costs of manufacturing their vehicles in order to offer their customers vehicles at controlled prices. In this context, automobile manufacturers seek to optimize each stage of assembly, and in particular the interior trim stages. During some of these trim stages, trim panels are stapled to a passenger compartment structure using staples that are pre-positioned in pre-drilled holes in the panel. Thus, the trim panels are delivered to the assembly lines with pre-positioned staples.
[0003] The most commonly used staples are omega-type staples, which have a central portion from which fastening tabs extend. These staples are particularly effective at securing the panel to the structure. However, before being fastened to the structure, these staples have the disadvantage of easily detaching from the panel. Indeed, a staple positioned in a panel fastening hole can sometimes rotate within that hole, causing it to come out. The loss of pre-positioned staples obviously poses a problem during panel assembly on the production line.
[0004] Thus, there is a need for a solution to limit or avoid the loss of staples pre-positioned on a cladding panel.
[0005] The present invention aims to overcome the problems described above. In this technical context, one objective of the present invention is to provide a trim that limits or prevents the detachment of a clip pre-positioned on the trim before the trim is attached to a passenger compartment structure.
[0006] To this end, the present invention relates to a trim piece for a motor vehicle interior designed to be fixed to an interior structure by at least one clip, the trim piece extending between a first and a second opposing face, the trim piece having at least one clip hole, each designed to receive an omega-type clip, having a central portion from which fixing tabs protrude, the clip being inserted into the clip hole from the first face, each hole being delimited by a perimeter and extending along its own longitudinal axis, the first face having, around the hole and on each side of the longitudinal axis, at least one stop each projecting from the first face and positioned and sized to limit rotation around the longitudinal axis, forming a stop at the central part of an omega-type clip, with its fixing tabs engaged in the orifice, the limitation of rotation preventing the clip from coming out of the orifice.
[0007] The invention also relates to an assembly comprising a trim according to the invention and at least one omega-type staple pre-positioned in a stapling hole of the trim, such that its fixing tabs are engaged in the hole from the first face and such that its central part protrudes from the first face, the rotation of each staple around the longitudinal axis corresponding to the hole being limited by the corresponding stops of the hole.

[0010] Thus, the trim according to the invention accommodates an omega-type staple in a stapling hole in the trim, allowing the staple to be pre-positioned before the trim is stapled. Thanks to the stops formed around each stapling hole, a pre-positioned staple is prevented from rotating sufficiently around its longitudinal axis to cause it to detach from the trim. Therefore, a staple pre-positioned in the hole, that is, with its fastening tabs engaged in the hole from the first face, is not at risk of coming out of the hole during handling of the trim before it is fastened.

Demands
1. Trim (1) for a motor vehicle passenger compartment designed to be fixed to a passenger compartment structure by at least one clip (2), the trim (1) extending between a first (5) and a second opposing faces, the trim (1) having at least one clipping hole (6) each designed to receive an omega-type clip (2), having a central portion (3) from which fastening tabs (4) project, the clip (2) being inserted into the clipping hole (6) by the first face (5), each hole (6) being delimited by a perimeter (7) and extending along its own longitudinal axis (AL), the first face (5) having, around the hole (6) and on each side of the longitudinal axis (AL), at least one stop (8) each projecting from the first face (5) and being positioned and dimensioned to limit rotation, around the longitudinal axis (AL), by forming a stop at the central part (3) of an omega-type clip (2),presenting its fixing tabs (4) engaged in the opening (6), the limitation of rotation making it possible to prevent the staple (2) from coming out of the opening (6).
2. Fitting (1) according to claim 1, characterized in that at least one stop (8) has an inclined plane (9) with respect to a direction normal to the first face (5), facing the orifice (6) and oriented so that the height of the stop (8) increases away from the periphery (7).
3. Fitting (1) according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that it comprises, on each side of the longitudinal axis (AL), two stops (8) spaced apart from each other and each arranged so as to be positioned opposite a fixing tab (4) of a clip (2) engaged in the orifice (6).
4. Fitting (1) according to any one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that each stop (8) is shaped to limit the rotation to 45° around the longitudinal axis (AL) of a clip (2) inserted into the orifice (6).
5. Fitting (1) according to any one of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that each stop (8) forms a rib (10) extending in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal axis (AL).
6. Fitting (1) according to claim 5, characterized in that each rib (10) extends from the periphery (7) of the orifice (6).
7. Assembly (11) comprising a trim (1) according to any one of claims 1 to 6 and at least one omega-type clip (2) pre-positioned in a stapling hole (6) of the trim (1), such that its fixing tabs (4) are engaged in the hole (6) from the first face (5) and such that its central part (3) protrudes from the first face (5), the rotation of each clip (2) around the longitudinal axis (AL) corresponding to the hole (6) being limited by the corresponding stops (8) of the hole (6).
8. Motor vehicle passenger compartment comprising an assembly (11) according to claim 7, the trim (1) being attached to a passenger compartment structure by each clip (2) of the assembly (11).
