Abstract
Description
Title of the invention: FILTER SYSTEM FOR A WATER TREATMENT TANK technical field
[0001] The present invention relates to a filter system for a water treatment tank, as well as a water treatment tank comprising such a filter system. PRIOR TECHNOLOGY
[0002] Waters, in particular runoff, classically contain a significant amount of hydrocarbons, sludge and various suspended solids which it is necessary to intercept before discharging these waters into a receiving environment.
[0003] A runoff water treatment tank is known which comprises a tank divided into two parts by a horizontal partition. Water enters the tank through an inlet pipe at the top and passes through the horizontal partition via orifices in the horizontal partition.
[0004] Water rises through a central opening in the horizontal wall. A central pipe is mounted above the central opening and sealed against the horizontal wall. A semi-cylindrical grid is mounted above the central opening and inside the central pipe.
[0005] The runoff water treatment tank also includes an outlet pipe in the upper part of the tank which opens into the central pipe.
[0006] The water thus enters through the inlet pipe, passes through the horizontal wall where it gets rid of its impurities by gravity, then it rises through the central opening and passes through the grid where the non-settable particles are retained, to flow into the central pipe and exit through the outlet pipe.
[0007] When the grille is blocked, it must be removed from the top for cleaning or replacement. During this operation, items attached or pressed against the grille may become detached and soil the surrounding area. It is therefore desirable to find a different arrangement that improves this situation. Description of the invention
[0008] An object of the present invention is to propose a filter system which ensures the retention of impurities in the cylindrical filter.
[0009] To this end, a filter system for a water treatment tank is proposed, said filter system comprising:
[0010] - a cylindrical filter delimiting an internal volume opening at the level of a lower end of the cylindrical filter by a lower opening and at the level of an upper end of the cylindrical filter by a upper opening,
[0011] - a hinged trapdoor mounted at the lower end of the cylindrical filter and movable between a closed position in which the hatch blocks the lower opening and an open position in which the hatch does not block the lower opening, and
[0012] - an actuation means arranged to alternately move the hatch from the open position to closed position.
[0013] With such a trap, impurities are blocked in the cylindrical filter when it is removed from the treatment tank.
[0014] Advantageously, the lower end of the cylindrical filter is arranged in a lower ring, and the upper end of the cylindrical filter is arranged in an upper ring.
[0015] Advantageously, the hatch is mounted to rotate about a tilting axis and the center of gravity of the hatch is offset with respect to said tilting axis.
[0016] Advantageously, the actuation means is a flexible link extending through the internal volume, the first end of which is fixed to the hatch on the same side as the center of gravity with respect to the tilting axis, and the second end of which extends beyond the upper end of the cylindrical filter.
[0017] Advantageously, the filter system includes a stop located at the upper opening and attached to the cylindrical filter and a counter-stop attached to the flexible link and arranged to bear against the stop when the hatch is in the open position.
[0018] Advantageously, the filter system includes a locking means arranged to block the flexible link when the hatch is in the closed position.
[0019] According to a particular embodiment, the flexible link consists of two strands and a tension spring fixed between the two strands, where the tension spring is disposed between the locking means and the hatch when the hatch is in the closed position.
[0020] According to a particular embodiment, the flexible link has a tension spring fixed between the two points of said flexible link.
[0021] The invention also proposes a water treatment tank delimited by a side wall and comprising:
[0022] - a horizontal wall pierced with a central opening and at least one orifice and dividing the water treatment tank into a lower volume and an upper volume,
[0023] - an upstream pipe intended to be connected with a water pipe to treat, passing through the lateral wall at the level of the upper volume,
[0024] - a cistern delimiting an interior space, where the cistern has an end lower part arranged inside the central opening and an upper end featuring a support equipped with a seat,
[0025] - a downstream pipeline intended to be connected with a treated water pipeline, and passing through the side wall to open into the interior space of the cistern, and
[0026] - a filter system according to one of the preceding variants where the lower end The cylindrical filter is positioned in the lower end of the tank and the upper end of the filter system is placed on the support.
[0027] Advantageously, the water treatment tank includes an internal pipe arranged above the horizontal wall and around the tank, the tank has a first horizontal opening around the cylindrical filter, the tank has an additional filter arranged around the cylindrical filter, and the additional filter has a lower end which rests on the edge of the first opening and an upper end which carries the support.
[0028] Advantageously, the tank has a second horizontal opening above the first opening and the tank has an overflow filter arranged in the second opening. Brief description of the drawings

[0036] DETAILED STATEMENT OF IMPROVEMENTS
[0037] In the following description, terms relating to a position are taken with reference to a water treatment tank in the position of use, that is to say as it is represented in [Fig.1].
[0038] The water treatment tank 100 (hereinafter "treatment tank") has, in its lower part, a bottom 101 which rests on the ground when the treatment tank 100 is in the position of use and in its upper part, a ceiling 103 pierced with a passage 103a which allows access to the interior of the treatment tank 100.
[0039] The treatment tank 100 is delimited between the bottom 101 and the ceiling 103 by a side wall 102 which delimits the treatment volume 102a of the treatment tank 100.
[0040] In the operating position, the treatment tank 100 is positioned vertically along a vertical axis Z with the ceiling 103 above the bottom 101.
[0041] As shown more clearly in [Fig.5], the treatment tank 100 also has a horizontal wall 104 which is pierced with a central opening 105 and one or more orifices 106 which are arranged outside with respect to the central opening 105. In the embodiment of the invention presented in [Fig.1], there are several orifices 106, but there may be only one and this / these orifices may take different forms such as circular holes, slots, etc.
[0042] The horizontal wall 104 divides the treatment volume 102a of the treatment tank 100 into a lower volume 100a which is between the bottom 101 and the horizontal wall 104 and an upper volume 100b which is between the horizontal wall 104 and the ceiling 103.
[0043] The treatment tank 100 has an upstream pipe 108 which is intended to be connected with a pipe through which the water to be treated is introduced into the treatment tank 100. The upstream pipe 108 passes through the side wall 102 at the level of the upper volume 100b, i.e. the upstream pipe 108 is open in the upper volume 100b.
[0044] The treatment tank 100 also includes a downstream pipe 110 which is intended to be connected with a pipe through which the treated water is discharged from the treatment tank 100. Here, the axis of the downstream pipe 110 and the axis of the upstream pipe 108 are generally in the same plane which is generally horizontal.
[0045] The treatment tank 100 also includes a cistern 112 which is installed inside the side wall 102 and in the upper volume 100b and which has a lower end 112a and an upper end 112b. The cistern 112 delimits an internal space 112c.
[0046] The lower end 112a of the tank 112 is cylindrical in shape, parallel to the vertical axis Z, and is arranged inside the central opening 105 to open into the lower volume 100a. The lower end 112a of the tank 112 is positioned within the central opening 105 such that the junction is watertight. In the embodiment of the invention presented here, the fitting is adjusted to prevent water from passing between them.
[0047] At its upper end 112b, the tank 112 is in fluidic communication with the downstream pipe 110, that is to say that the downstream pipe 110 passes through the side wall 102 at the level of the upper volume 100b to open into the interior space 112c at the upper end 112b of the tank 112.
[0048] Fig. 6 shows an enlargement at the upper end 112b of the cistern 112 which has a support 115 having a seat 115a (more visible on Fig. 6) which is aligned vertically with the lower end 112a of the cistern 112. The seat 115a here takes the form of a circular ring.
[0049] The water path is then as follows (arrows on [Fig. 1]). The water to be treated enters through the upstream pipe 108 and flows into the upper volume 100b. The water then passes through the horizontal wall 104 via the orifices 106 and flows into the lower volume 100a where some of the waste falls by gravity to the bottom 101. The water then rises through the central opening 105 and thus into the tank 112 via its lower end 112a until it reaches the downstream pipe 110 where the water is discharged.
[0050] The treatment tank 100 also includes a filter system 150 according to the invention which is more clearly seen in Figs. 2 to 4.
[0051] The filter system 150 comprises a cylindrical filter 152 which is mounted on a frame 151 having a lower ring 151a and an upper ring 151b. The frame 151 also includes connecting bars 151c fixed between the rings 151a-b, which may not be necessary depending on the rigidity of the cylindrical filter 152. The cylindrical filter 152 is made of a filter material suitable for the application. The cylindrical filter 152 has its axis parallel to the vertical axis Z.
[0052] The cylindrical filter 152 defines an internal volume 154. The internal volume 154 opens at a lower end 152a of the cylindrical filter 152 through a lower opening 154a located at the lower ring 151a. The internal volume 154 also opens at an upper end 152b of the cylindrical filter 152 through an upper opening 154b located at the upper ring 151b. The filter system 150 has a lower end corresponding to the lower end 152a of the cylindrical filter 152 and an upper end corresponding to the upper end 152b of the cylindrical filter 152.
[0053] The lower end 152a of the cylindrical filter 152 is thus arranged here in the lower ring 151a and the upper end 152b of the cylindrical filter 152 is thus arranged here in the upper ring 151b.
[0054] The cylindrical filter 152 is installed in the upper volume 100b and, more particularly, in the internal space 112c of the tank 112, such that the lower end 152a of the cylindrical filter 152 is disposed in the lower end 112a of the tank 112 and such that the upper end of the filter system 150 is placed on the seat 115a of the support 115 as shown more clearly in [Fig.6].
[0055] Here, the lower ring 151a is fitted into the lower end 112a of the tank 112 and the upper ring 151b is placed on the seat 115a of the support 115. The fitting between the lower ring 151a and the lower end 112a of the tank 112 is such that the junction is watertight, for example by a fitting adjusted to prevent the passage of water between them.
[0056] The lower opening 154a is thus located in the lower end 112a of the tank 112, and the water rising through the lower end 152a of the cylindrical filter 152 passes entirely through the lower opening 154a. The water thus rises inside the cylindrical filter 152, into the internal volume 154, and passes through the cylindrical filter 152 to reach the downstream pipe 110, leaving the impurities in the internal volume 154.
[0057] In the embodiment of the invention presented here, the section of the cylindrical filter 152 is circular, but a section of a different shape is possible.
[0058] For maintenance reasons, the filter system 150 is mounted movably vertically inside the interior space 112c between the lower end 112a of the tank 112 and the support 115 which act as centering and fixing means.
[0059] The lower ring 151a of the frame 151 is inserted into the lower end 112a of the tank 112 and the upper ring 151b of the frame 151 is placed on the seat 115a of the support 115. The dimensions are such that the space between the lower ring 151a of the frame 151 and the lower end 112a of the tank 112 is reduced so that the water and the elements to be filtered cannot pass through it.
[0060] The fixing is ensured by gravity or by any suitable means such as screw elements between the upper ring 151b of the chassis 151 and the support 115.
[0061] Of course, other centering means such as rails can be used.
[0062] If necessary, the filter system 150 can thus be removed through passage 103a by a vertical displacement parallel to the vertical axis Z.
[0063] The filter system 150 also includes a trapdoor 156 which is hinged at the lower end 152a of the cylindrical filter 152, here on the lower ring 151a. The trapdoor 156 is movable between a closed position in which the trapdoor 156 blocks the lower opening 154a and an open position in which the trapdoor 156 does not block the lower opening 154a. Thus, when the filter system 150 needs to be removed, the trapdoor 156 is placed in the closed position, which blocks the lower opening 154a, and during the removal of the filter system 150, the impurities trapped in it remain in the internal volume 154 because they are blocked by the trapdoor 156.
[0064] To actuate the gate 156, the treatment tank 150 also includes an actuating means 158 which is arranged to move the gate 156 alternately from the open position to the closed position.
[0065] In the embodiment of the invention presented here, the hatch 156 is mounted to rotate about a tilting axis X which is horizontal and which is formed by two hinges 157 where each consists of a horizontal stud mounted to rotate in a bore of the lower ring 151a.
[0066] The center of gravity G of the hatch 156 is offset with respect to said tilting axis X so that the tilting towards the open position is carried out automatically by gravity.
[0067] The actuation means 158 can take different forms. For example, the actuation means can be a remotely controlled motor.
[0068] In the embodiment of the invention presented here, the actuation means 158 is a flexible link 160 which is positioned through the internal volume 154 and which has a first end 160a and a second end 160b.
[0069] The first end 160a of the flexible link 160 is fixed to the hatch 156 on the same side as the center of gravity G with respect to the tilting axis X, so, by pulling upwards on the flexible link 160, the hatch 156 moves into the closed position.
[0070] The second end 160b of the flexible link 160 extends beyond the upper end 152b of the cylindrical filter 152 so as to be accessible to a technician through the passage 103a.
[0071] Here, the flexible link 160 takes the form of a link chain.
[0072] To prevent the flexible link 160 from falling into the internal volume 154, the filter system 150 includes a stop 162a and a counter-stop 162b. The stop 162a is located at the upper opening 154b and is attached to the cylindrical filter 152 here by means of the frame 151. The counter-stop 162b is attached to the flexible link 160 and is arranged to bear against the stop 162a when the hatch 156 is in the open position.
[0073] Here, the stop 162a consists of a bar 163a fixed across the upper opening 154b to the upper ring 151b and pierced with a window 163b through which the flexible link 160 passes. The counter-stop 162b here takes the form of an axis integral with the flexible link 160 which is disposed above the bar 163a and therefore above the window 163b and the counter-stop 162b is dimensioned so that it cannot pass through the window 163b, that is to say that its dimensions are larger than those of the window 163b. Thus, when the flexible link 160 is released, the hatch 156 moves into the open position and the flexible link 160 and the counter-stop 162b descend until the counter-stop 162b comes against the bar 163a.
[0074] Similarly, the hatch 156 must be kept in the closed position, for example, when the filter system 150 is to be removed. To this end, the filter system 150 includes a locking means 166 which locks the flexible link 160 when the hatch 156 is in the closed position to prevent it from returning to the open position.
[0075] The locking means 166 here takes the form of a slot 166a formed in the window 163b and arranged so that when the flexible link 160 is slid into the slot 166a, it is pinched and thus locked. Here, the slot 166a is sized to allow the insertion of a chain link, while the link directly above it rests against the bar 163a and is thus wedged in place.
[0076] To ensure that the flexible link 160 remains under tension and keeps the hatch 156 in the closed position, the flexible link 160 consists of two strands 161a-b and a tension spring 164 fixed between the two strands 161a-b.
[0077] According to another embodiment of the invention, not shown, the tension spring is fixed between two points of the flexible link 160 where the distance between the two points is greater than the unstretched length of the spring. Thus, by exerting a force, the spring tends to shorten said flexible link 160 between the two points.
[0078] The tension spring 164 is located between the locking means 166 and the hatch 156 when the hatch 156 is in the closed position. Indeed, only the portion of the flexible link 160 located between the locking means 166 and the hatch 156 is under tension.
[0079] In the embodiment of the invention shown in [Fig. 1], the treatment tank 100 also has an internal pipe 113 that is generally cylindrical and oriented vertically parallel to the vertical axis Z. The internal pipe 113 is arranged above the horizontal wall 104 and around the tank 112 and rises to an overflow level.
[0080] The tank 112 has a first horizontal opening 170 which is generally in the middle of the upstream pipe 108 and the downstream pipe 110. The first opening 170 is around the cylindrical filter 152, that is to say that the cylindrical filter 152 passes through the first opening 170.
[0081] The tank 112 also includes an additional filter 172 which is cylindrical in shape and which is arranged around the cylindrical filter 152. The additional filter 172 has a lower end 172a which rests on the edge of the first opening 170 and an upper end 172b which carries the support 115 and its seat 115a.
[0082] Thus, when the water rises too much, it passes between the inner pipe 113 and the cistern 112 by passing between the lower end of the inner pipe 113 and the horizontal wall 104. The rising water then reaches the level of the first opening 170 where it passes through the additional filter 172 to enter the inner space 112c of the cistern 112 and join the downstream pipe 110.
[0083] In the embodiment of the invention presented here, the tank 112 also has a second horizontal opening 180 which is above the upstream pipe 108, the downstream pipe 110 and the first opening 170. The second opening 180 is rectangular in shape and the tank 112 has an overflow filter 182 arranged in the second opening 180.
[0084] Thus, when the water rises even more than before, it passes above the overflow level defined by the upper end of the inner pipe 113. The water can then be discharged through the second opening 180 where it passes through the overflow filter 182 to enter the inner space 112c of the tank 112 and join the downstream pipe 110.
[0085] In the embodiment of the invention presented here, the internal pipe 113 and the tank 112 are fixed to the side wall 102 by a frame 111.
