[0009] Thus, the present invention relates to a cosmetic active ingredient comprising an extract of oyster milt from the Ostreidae family, said extract being an alcoholic or hydroalcoholic extract.
[0010] The oyster is a bivalve mollusc of the family Ostreidae, comprising several genera, notably the genera Pynodonta, Crassostrea or Ostrea, for the best known.
[0011] The genus Pycnodonta includes species of bottom-dwelling oysters, meaning that their environment is that of shallow waters, down to 2000m. Thus, they have the particularity of living in places that are never exposed. They have a very round shell made of vacuoles.
