Abstract
Description
Title of the invention: ELECTRIC HARNESS FOR A TURBOMACHINE Technical field of the invention
[0001] The present invention relates to an electrical harness, in particular for an aircraft or an aircraft turbomachine, and a method for manufacturing this harness. Technological background
[0002] A turbojet engine generally comprises a casing, possibly in several parts depending on its structure, which encloses various components, rotating or not, such as a fan, a compressor, a combustion chamber, a turbine, a nozzle, etc.
[0003] On the surface of the casings, in addition to the fluid transport pipes, are numerous electrical cables, called "electrical harnesses" in the field of turbomachinery. These electrical harnesses supply electricity to the various peripheral equipment of the turbomachine, such as the computer or temperature sensors used to measure the temperature at the turbine inlet. These harnesses are positioned on the surface of the casing and held in place by means of a positioning and retention device.
[0004] With reference to Figures 1A and 1B, a turbojet harness 100 may comprise several branches 108i 3 (as illustrated in [Fig.1A]) connected together via a metal ring 104 or, a branch 108i (as illustrated in [Fig.1B]) having at least one of its ends a metal ring 104. In the example of [Fig.1B], the harness 100 comprises a main branch 1081, called the mother branch, which may comprise one or more secondary branches 1082.3, called daughter branches.
[0005] Generally, an IO813 branch may comprise one or more electrical cables or IO612 conductor wires generally insulated from each other (as illustrated in [Fig.1B]).
[0006] With reference to [Fig. 1C], representing a cross-sectional view of the electrical harness 100 of [Fig. 1B], the parent branch 1081 and the daughter branches 1082 and 1123 may each comprise at least one shielding layer, respectively 1122 and 1123. The shielding layers 1122 and 1123 of the parent branch 1081 and the daughter branches 1082 each have at least one end connected by a metal ring 104. The metal ring 104 includes a hole 110 through which the parent branches 1081 and daughter branches 1082 and 1123 pass. The shielding layers 1121 and 1123 may be braided and generally tubular in shape. The shielding layers 1121 have a portion, preferably an end, that completely or partially surrounds the the metal ring 104. The shielding layers 1 12i.3 are clamped onto this ring by a clamping collar 102'. Each shielding layer 1 12i_3 is made of a conductive material exhibiting a certain elasticity; thus, a harness is not rigid but exhibits a certain flexibility, a certain suppleness.
[0007] The metal ring is classically, and without limitation, a crimping ring, a split support ring, or any other type of known mechanical part equipped with a rear fitting.
[0008] The clamp 102' can be a strap 200 as illustrated in [Fig.1D].
[0009] With reference to [Fig. 1D], the strap 200 comprises an elongated band 204 and a loop 202 located at a first end 208 of the strap 200. The loop 202 has a passage 206 through which a second end 210 of the strap 200, opposite the first end 208, can be inserted or introduced so as to connect the shields over 360°.
[0010] It is generally recommended to connect the 12i_3 shielding layers by making two complete turns of the collar 102' around the metal ring 104.
[0011] This recommendation has limitations however in the case where the metal ring has a large contour or perimeter and the available collars do not have a suitable length to ensure a connection with the two recommended turns.
[0012] It may therefore be desirable to provide a harness which makes it possible to overcome at least some of the aforementioned problems and constraints. Summary of the invention
[0013] An electrical harness is therefore proposed, in particular for an aircraft, notably an aircraft turbomachine, this harness comprising at least one branch including at least one electrical cable and having one end connected to a metal ring, the branch comprising a shielding layer, one end of which surrounds the metal ring and is clamped onto this ring by a clamping device, this clamping device comprising at least a first clamping collar which has a first elongated band and a first loop located at one end of the first collar, the first loop having a first passage hole, characterized in that the clamping device further comprises at least a second collar which has a second elongated band and a second loop located at one end of the second collar and having a second passage hole, the first collar being configured so as to extend all around the end of the shielding layer surrounding the metal ring and such that the end opposite the first loop passes into the first orifice of the first loop, the second collar extending at least partially around the end of the shielding layer surrounding the metal ring, the first and second clamps being engaged with each other, so that the first band passes through the second hole of the second loop and the second band passes through the first hole of the first loop.
[0014] Thus, thanks to the invention it is possible to make harnesses of all contours or perimeters, and in particular of large contours, and the shields can thus advantageously be connected on two complete turns, as recommended.
[0015] The invention thus allows the use of existing components (for example, collars and split support rings). It is not necessary to manufacture new collars to connect harness shielding with large contours or perimeters; existing collars can be engaged with one another as described in the invention for connecting the shielding.
[0016] The invention can also make it possible to reduce the manufacturing cost of harnesses, in particular harnesses with large contours.
[0017] The invention may further include one or more of the following optional features, in any technically feasible combination: - the shielding layer has a general tubular shape; - the clamping device forms two turns around the ring; - the second clamp extends all around the end of the shielding layer surrounding the metal ring; - the second hose clamp passes through both the first hole of the first loop and the second hole of the second loop; - the second hose clamp is in one piece; - The clamping device comprises two parts: - a first piece comprising a portion of strip and a loop, and - a second piece comprising a portion of strip, the first and second pieces forming the second clamp of the clamping device, - the first and second pieces come from the same second clamp or from two separate second clamps; - the first piece represents at least one third of a perimeter of the metal ring; - the first piece represents at least one quarter of the perimeter of the metal ring and the second piece represents at least one third of the perimeter of said metal ring; - the second collar is partly located outside a contour formed by the first collar around the end of the shielding layer surrounding the metal ring and partly located inside said contour; - the first band includes an end opposite the first loop, which is folded and folded over the first loop; the second band includes one end opposite the second loop, which is folded back onto the second loop; - the first and second loops are diametrically opposite to each other, or are angularly separated from each other by an angle of less than 120°.
[0018] The invention also relates to a method for manufacturing an electrical harness as described above, said method comprising at least one step of connecting at least one layer of shielding which includes at least one substep called engaging the first and second cable ties into each other, said engagement step being carried out by passing the first band through the second orifice of the second loop and the second band through the first orifice of the first loop.
[0019] The method may further include one or more of the following optional features, in any technically feasible combination: - the connection step also includes a sub-step of locking the first collar and possibly the second collar; - The locking substep includes at least: - tightening the first clamp and possibly the second clamp; and - the passage and folding down of the end opposite the first loop on the first loop and possibly from the opposite end of the second loop onto the second loop. Detailed description of the invention
[0021] Figures IA to 1D, which represent the prior art, have already been described above.
[0022] An example of a harness according to the invention is illustrated in [Fig. 2A]. The invention can be located at the end of a branch 1081 (or of a cable 106, 2) as illustrated in Fig. 1B or at the connection between several branches 108 i 3 as illustrated in [Fig.1A],
[0023] Just like the harness described in [Fig. IC], the harness 100 of the present invention includes at least one arm 108i.3, a metal ring 104 including a hole or orifice 110 through which the arm 1081 _3 passes.
[0024] Still with reference to [Fig.2A], each branch 1081_3 may include a shielding layer 112x3 (not shown in [Fig.2A]) which has a general tubular shape and one end of which surrounds at least part (or all) of the metal ring 104. The shielding layer 112i.3 may be, for example, and without limitation, a braided layer.
[0025] The harness further includes a clamping device 102 suitable for clamping the end of the shielding layer 112i.3 onto the part 104a of the metal ring 104.
[0026] In the examples in Figures 2A to 2C, the metal ring 104 preferably has a circular outline or perimeter. However, those skilled in the art will understand that the perimeter of the metal ring 104 can be of various shapes, for example, but not limited to, a square with rounded corners. The ring can be, for example, a crimping ring, a split support ring, or any other type of mechanical part equipped with a rear fitting.
[0027] The clamping device 102 can form two turns around the metal ring 104, as illustrated for example in [Fig. 2A], and comprises at least one first clamping collar 200b
[0028] The first clamp 200i has a first elongated band 204i and a first loop 202i located at one end of the first clamp 200i and having a first passage orifice (not shown).
[0029] Still referring to [Fig. 2A], the clamping device 102 further comprises a second clamping collar 2002 which includes a second band 2042 of the shape elongated and a second loop 2022 located at one end of the second clamp 2002 and having a second passage opening (not shown).
[0030] The first clamping collar 200i extends all around the metal ring 104 covered by the shielding layer 1 12i_3 (not shown) and thus forms a contour around the end of the shielding layer which surrounds the metal ring 104.
[0031] As for the second clamping collar 2002, it extends at least in part around the end of the shielding layer 1 12i_3 which surrounds the metal ring 104.
[0032] The first 200i and second 2002 clamps are engaged in each other so that the first band 204i of the first clamp 200i passes through the second orifice (not shown) of the second loop 2022 of the second clamp 2002 and the second band 2042 passes through the first orifice (not shown) of the first loop 202i.
[0033] In the example illustrated in [Fig.2A], the second clamp 2002, which is in one piece, extends all around (over 360°) the metal ring 104 covered by the shielding layer 1 12i_3.
[0034] With further reference to [Fig. 2A], the first hose clamp 200i passes through both the opening of the first loop 202i of the first hose clamp 200i and the opening of the second loop 2022 of the second hose clamp 2002, and the second hose clamp 2002 passes through both the opening of the first loop 202i of the first hose clamp 200i and the opening of the second loop 2022 of the second hose clamp. A free end 210i of the first band 204b, opposite the first loop 202i, is folded and folded back over the first loop 202i.
[0035] The second band 2042 also includes an end 2102 opposite the second loop 2022, which is folded and folded over the second loop 2022.
[0036] In this example, the first 202i and second 2022 loops are diametrically opposite each other. In alternative embodiments, the first 202i and second 2022 loops may be arranged differently.
[0037] In a first embodiment, illustrated in [Fig. 2B], the clamping device 102 can comprise the first hose clamp 200i and two pieces 300i, 3002 of hose clamps. The first piece 300i has a portion of band 2042 and a loop 2022. The second piece 3002 has a portion of band 2043 without a loop. The first piece 300i can also correspond to an entire hose clamp if the latter is smaller than the first hose clamp 200i. The first 300i and second 3002 pieces can be arranged to form a second hose clamp 2002 of a size smaller than or the same size as the first hose clamp 200i.
[0038] In a first configuration, the first 300i and second 3002 pieces can come from the same second collar 2002.
[0039] In a second configuration, the first 300i and second 3002 pieces can come from two separate second 2002 collars.
[0040] In the configurations mentioned above, the lengths of the pieces 300i and 3002 are preferably defined so that they do not overlap under the first clamping collar 200i. This avoids a three-layer clamping device 102 in the first 202i and second loops 2022. The first 300i and second 3002 pieces can extend over at least one-third of the metal ring 104. In particular embodiments, the pieces 300i and 3002 extend around the metal ring 104 (and the shields) such that a free end 2102 of the first piece 300i, opposite the end comprising the second loop 2022, abuts against a first free end 2103 of the second piece 3002. For example, starting from the example of [Fig.2B] the strips of the first 300i and second 3002 pieces can extend along the arc of circle A1A2 in dotted line so as to come to rest against each other. The pieces can be determined so that exactly two thicknesses are obtained all around the metal ring 104.
[0041] Still referring to [Fig. 2B], the first free end 2103 of the second piece is inserted between the shielding (not shown) and the first band 204i of the first clamp 200i. The second piece 3002 also includes a second free end 2083, opposite the first free end 2103, which is folded and folded over the second loop 2022 of the first piece 300i.
[0042] In this configuration, the first 202i and second 2022 loops can be angularly separated from each other by an angle of less than 120°.
[0043] In a second embodiment, illustrated in [Fig. 2C], the clamping device 102 may comprise the first hose clamp 200i and a single piece 300i of hose clamp. The piece 300i comprises a portion of a hose clamp band 2042 having a free end 2102, and a loop 2022 located at an end opposite the free end 2102. The piece 300i may originate from a second hose clamp 2002 or may also correspond to an entire second hose clamp 2002 if the latter is smaller than the first hose clamp 200i.
[0044] Piece 300i can extend at least over one third of the perimeter of the metal ring 104.
[0045] In particular embodiments, the piece 300i can extend around the metal ring 104 so that its free end 2102, opposite the end including the second loop 2022, comes into contact with the second loop 2022, as illustrated by the dashed arc A1A2 on [Fig.2C] extending the piece 300i.
[0046] In this configuration, an end 2102 of the portion of the strip 2042 (or of the strip 2042, if piece 300i is a clamp smaller than the first clamp 2000 of piece 300i), opposite the second loop 2022, is left free after passing through the first loop 202i of the first clamp 200i and extends between the first clamp 200i and the shielding layer 112i_3 (not shown).
[0047] Similar to the first variant, illustrated in [Fig.2B], the first 202i and second 2022 loops can be angularly separated from each other by an angle of less than 120°.
[0048] The invention also relates to a method 400 for manufacturing a harness as described above.
[0049] The manufacturing process includes at least one step of mounting (not shown) one end of the shielding layer of at least one branch around the metal ring 104. Thus, at least a part of the metal ring 104 is covered by the shielding layer.
[0050] The manufacturing process further includes at least one step of connecting 400o the shielding layers 1 12i_3 mounted around the metal ring 104 of the harness 100.
[0051] With reference to [Fig.3A], the connection method 4000 includes at least a substep called engagement 402 of the first 200i and second 2002 clamping bands of the clamping device 102, the engagement 402 being carried out by passing the first band 204i through the second loop 2022 and the second band 2042 through the first loop 202i so that the free ends of the first 200i and second 2002 clamping bands, folded over the first 202i and second 2022 loops, remain outside the contour(s) formed by the first 200i and / or second 2002 clamp(s) of the clamping device 102 around the ends of the shielding layers 112i 3 (not shown) surrounding the metal ring 104.
[0052] Still with reference to [Fig.3A], the connection method 4OOo further includes a locking substep 404 of the first clamp 200i and / or the second clamp 2002 of the clamping device 102.
[0053] With reference to [Fig. 3B], the locking substep 404 of the first hose clamp 200i and / or the second hose clamp 2002 comprises at least: - tightening the first clamp 200i and possibly the second clamp 2002 to 600; and - the passage and the folding 602 of the end opposite the first loop 202i onto the first loop 202i and possibly of the end opposite the second loop 2022 onto the second loop 2022.
[0054] In the case of the harness illustrated in [Fig.2A]; the connection of the shielding layers takes place as follows: - the first band 204i of the first collar 200i is passed through the orifice (not shown) of the second loop 2022 of the second collar 2002 and the second band 2042 of the second collar 2002 through the orifice (not shown) of the first loop 202i of the first collar 200i, the first 204i and second 2042 bands being held above the shielding (and not between the metal ring and the shielding); - the free end 210i of the first band 204b opposite the first loop 202i of the first collar 200i and which has already passed through the opening of the second loop 2022 (the first band having passed through the opening of the second loop), is also passed through the opening of the first loop 202i and is then tightened and folded over the first loop 202i which contains the two thicknesses of collars 200i, 2002, namely the thickness of the first collar and the thickness of the second collar. The first collar will be blocked by the thickness of the second collar and thus immobilized; Then, the end 2102 of the second band 204i, opposite the second loop 2022 of the second clamp 2002 and which has already passed through the opening of the first loop 202i (the second band having passed through the opening of the first loop), is also passed through the opening of the second loop 2022 and is then tightened and folded over the second loop 2022, which contains the two thicknesses of the first 200i and second 2002 clamps, namely the thickness of the second clamp and the thickness of the first clamp. The second clamp 2002 will in turn be blocked by the thickness of the first clamp 200i and thus immobilized.
[0055] Thus, the first 200i and second 2002 clamping collars overlap over 360°, thus forming two turns of the perimeter of the metal ring 104 covered by the shielding layers 112i 3. In this configuration, the loops 202 h 2022 are oriented towards the outside of the contour or perimeter of the metal ring 104.
[0056] In the case of the harness illustrated in [Fig.2B], the connection of the shields can proceed as follows: - The second collar 2002 is cut to obtain at least two pieces 300i, 3002. The first piece 300i comprises a portion of the second band 2042 and the second loop 2022, and the second piece 3002 comprises the remainder or a portion of the remainder of the second band 2042. The second piece 3002 can also be replaced by a portion of a band from another collar. The two pieces 300i and 3002 have lengths that are defined as so that they do not overlap under the first collar 200i. This avoids a three-layer clamping device 102 at the first 202i and second loops 2022. The first 300i and second 3002 pieces can extend over at least one-third of the metal ring 104, or even extend around the metal ring 104 (and the shields) so that the free end 2102 of the first piece 300i, opposite the end including the second loop 2022, comes abutting against the free end 2103 of the second piece 3002. For example, starting from the example in [Fig.2B], the strips of the first 300i and second 3002 pieces can extend along the dashed arc A1A2 so as to come abutting against each other; - the first strip 204i of the first collar 200i is passed, following arrow Sla, into the second loop 2022 of the first piece 300i containing portion 2042 of the second collar 2002, so that the free end 210 2 of the first piece 300i of portion 2042 of the second collar 2002 is positioned, following arrow Slb, between the first collar 200i and the shield 112i 3 (not shown); and - the second free end 2083 of the strip portion 2043 of the second piece 3002 of the second collar 2002 (or of another collar) is passed through both the first loop 202i and the second loop 2022, respectively following arrows S2a and S2b, so that the first free end 2103 of the second piece 3002, opposite the second free end 2083 of the strip portion 2043 of the second piece 3002, is positioned between the first collar 200i and the shield 112.4 not shown); - the first collar 200i is then tightened and the free end 210ide of the first band 204b opposite the first loop 202h is folded over the first loop 202i which contains the two thicknesses of collars 200i, 2002 (the thickness of the first collar 200i and the thickness of the band of the second piece 3002 of the second collar 2002). The first collar 200i will, after tightening, block the first piece 300i of the second collar 2002; - then, the second free end 2083 of the portion of the band 2043 of the second piece 3002 of the second collar (or of another collar), passed through the second loop 2022 of the first piece 300i of the second collar 2002, is tightened and folded over the second loop 2022.
[0057] The first 202i and second 2022 loops are traversed by two thicknesses of tape, thus immobilizing the assembly. In this configuration, the Loops 202i, 2022 are oriented outwards from the contour or perimeter of the metal ring 104.
[0058] In the case of the harness illustrated in [Fig.2C], the connection of the shields can proceed as follows: - the second collar 2002 can first be shortened to obtain a piece 300i comprising a portion of the second band 2042 and the second loop 2022, the piece 300i representing at least one third of the perimeter of the metal ring 104. Alternatively, the piece 300i can correspond to a second collar 2002, not shortened or cut, but of small size (smaller than the first collar) and having a length representing at least one third of the perimeter of the metal ring 104. Preferably, the piece 300i can extend around the metal ring 104 so that its free end 2102, opposite the end comprising the second loop 2022, comes abutting against the second loop 2022, as illustrated by the dashed arc A1A2 on [Fig.2C] extending the piece 300i; - Once the 300i piece is obtained, the first 204i strip of the first 200i collar is passed, following arrow Sla, through the second loop 2022 of the 300i piece of the second 2002 collar, and the 2042 strip of the 300i piece of the second 2002 collar (or a second, uncut, short-length 2002 collar) is passed through the first loop 202i of the first 200i collar, following arrow S2b. In this configuration, the first loop 202i is oriented towards the outside of the perimeter of the metal ring 104, and the second loop 2022 towards the inside of the perimeter of the metal ring 104, following arrow S2a.Thus, a first portion of the band 2042 of piece 300i of the second collar 2002 (or of the second collar 2002 uncut and of short length) which includes the second loop 2022 is located above a portion of the first band 204i of the first collar 200i (outside of a portion of the contour of the first collar around the unshown armor layers) and, a second portion of the band of piece 300i of the second collar 2002 (or of the second collar 2002 uncut of short length) crosses the first loop 202i of the first band 204i to be located below it (inside the contour of the first collar around the unshown armor layers); . - the first collar 200i is then tightened and the free end 210i, opposite the end including the first loop 202i, is folded over the first loop 202i which contains the two thicknesses of collar (the thickness of the first collar 200i and the thickness of the band of the piece 300i of the second collar 2002 (or second uncut and short collar 2002). The first collar 200i will thus be immobilized by the thickness of the band of piece 300i of the second collar 2002 (or second uncut and short collar 2002). Tightening the first collar 200i automatically tightens piece 300i of the second collar 2002 (or second uncut and short collar 2002). The second portion of the band of piece 300i of the second collar 2002 (or second uncut and short collar 2002), which is located below the first collar 200i, includes the free end 2102, opposite the end with the second loop 2022, the free end 2102 being neither tightened nor folded over a loop.
[0059] Advantageously, the person skilled in the art will thus understand that, thanks to the invention, it is possible to connect layers of shielding on metal harness rings having a large or small contour or perimeter with short length collars, in particular when two complete turns are not feasible.
[0060] The invention thus allows the use of existing components (for example, collars and split support rings). It is not necessary to manufacture new collars to connect harness shielding with large contours or perimeters; existing collars can be engaged with one another as described in the invention for connecting the shielding.
[0061] In addition, the connection of the shields is a simple process whose implementation does not require the use of complex means.
[0062] The invention may have the advantage of reducing the manufacturing cost of harnesses, in particular harnesses with large contours.
