Abstract
Description
Title of the invention: Oil-based cosmetic
[0001] The present application is based on, and claims, the benefit of priority from Japanese patent application No. 2024-152328 filed on September 4, 2024. Scope of the invention
[0002] This disclosure relates to an oil-based cosmetic product.
[0003] Related prior art
[0004] Oil-based cosmetics are a form of cosmetic widely used for foundation, eyeshadow and the like, and various functions and sensations of use can be achieved by changing the type or quantity mixed with an oily agent and a powder intended to be mixed in the cosmetic.
[0005] The present inventors have previously proposed, in the patent document 1, an oil-based powder foundation containing spherical particles, titanium dioxide, a film-forming agent, a volatile oily agent, and a surfactant. The oil-based powder foundation described in patent document 1 has good spreading ability, which is a characteristic of an oil-based product, and also has the function of quickly transitioning to a powder feel after application, and is excellent in terms of makeup durability (resistance to sebum and perspiration).
[0006] Patent document 1: Japanese patent application not examined, publication no. 2022-176122 Summary of the invention
[0007] Since the oil-based powder foundation described in patent document 1 contains a relatively large amount of volatile oily agent, an airtight container is necessary during storage. In this regard, in the case of a composition containing no volatile liquid or a low proportion of volatile liquid, various containers other than the airtight container may be used, and a change in composition due to drying can be avoided as much as possible.
[0008] Therefore, one objective of the present disclosure is to provide a new oil-based cosmetic product that exhibits excellent spreadability upon application, rapidly transforms into a powder-like feel after application, and offers excellent makeup durability, even when a volatile liquid is not essential.
[0009] Specific means for solving the above problems include the following embodiments.
[0010] <1> An oil-based cosmetic containing: (a) a non-volatile oily agent having a kinematic viscosity at 25°C of 4mm2 / s to 20mm2 / s and a boiling point at 1 atm of 290°C or more; (b) spherical particles; (c) a film-forming agent; and (d) a coloring matter,
[0011] wherein the mass ratio between the content of (b) spherical particles and the content of (a) non-volatile oily agent is between 1.0 and 3.5.
[0012] <2> Oil-based cosmetics as described in aspect <1> , in which a the proportion of volatile liquid having a boiling point at 1 atm below 290°C is less than 5% by mass.
[0013] <3> Oil-based cosmetics as described in aspect <1> Or <2> , In in which the proportion of (a) the non-volatile oily agent is between 15% by mass and 50% by mass.
[0014] <4> Oil-based cosmetics as described in any of the aspects <1> has <3> , in which the proportion of (b) spherical particles is between 30% by mass and 65% by mass.
[0015] <5> Oil-based cosmetics as described in any of the aspects <1> has <4> , further containing: (e) a wax.
[0016] <6> Oil-based cosmetics as described in any of the aspects <1> has <5> in which the oil-based cosmetic does not contain any silicone compound.
[0017] <7> Oil-based cosmetics as described in any of the aspects <1> has <6> , in which an index of natural origin (excluding water), calculated in accordance with ISO 16128, is 90% or more.
[0018] <8> Oil-based cosmetics as described in any of the aspects <1> has <7> , which is a cosmetic for foundation, eyeshadow, eyebrows, cheek or base.
[0019] According to this disclosure, it is possible to provide a new oil-based cosmetic product which, upon application, offers excellent spreadability, quickly transforms into a powder-like feel after application and offers excellent makeup durability, even when a volatile liquid is not essential. Detailed description of the invention
[0020] Specific embodiments of this disclosure will be described in detail below. In this description, unless otherwise indicated, an "x to y" notation using numeric values x and y means "x or more and y or less." In such an expression, when a unit is added only to the numerical value y, the unit is also applied to the numerical value x.
[0021] <Cosmétique à base d’huile>
[0022] The oil-based cosmetic according to this embodiment contains: (a) a non-volatile oily agent having a kinematic viscosity at 25°C of 4mm2 / s to 20mm2 / s and a boiling point at 1 atm of 290°C or more (hereinafter also referred to as "component (a)"); (b) spherical particles (hereinafter also referred to as "component (b)"); (c) a film-forming agent (hereinafter also referred to as "component (c)"); and (d) a colorant (hereinafter also referred to as "component (d)"), and the mass ratio between the content of component (b) and the content of component (a) is between 1.0 and 3.5.
[0023] The oil-based cosmetic according to this embodiment is excellent in terms of its spreadability upon application, quickly transitions to a powdery feel after application, and offers excellent makeup durability even when a volatile liquid is not required. The reason for this is not clear, but is presumed as follows. That is, upon application, excellent spreadability is achieved by the non-volatile oily agent with low viscosity, and after application, a powdery feel is obtained through the spherical particles. Furthermore, because the spherical particles adhere to the skin surface via the film-forming agent, excellent makeup durability is achieved.
[0024] In what follows, each of the components contained in the oil-based cosmetic according to this embodiment will be described in detail. Each of the following components can be used alone, or can be used in combination with two or more of them.
[0025] [(a) Non-volatile oily agent]
[0026] In this description, the term "non-volatile" means that the boiling point at 1 atm is 290°C or higher.
[0027] A non-volatile oily agent as a component (a) has a kinematic viscosity at 25°C of 4 mm² / s to 20 mm² / s (4 cs to 20 cs). When the kinematic viscosity of the non-volatile oily agent at 25°C is 4 mm² / s or higher, good spreadability, which is characteristic of an oil-based product, tends to be readily apparent. Furthermore, when the kinematic viscosity of the non-volatile oily agent at 25°C is 20 mm² / s or lower, spreadability at the time of application is improved, and a good powdery feel tends to be obtained after application. The kinematic viscosity of the non-volatile oily agent at 25°C is preferably 4 mm² / s to 18mm² / s, and more preferably from 4mm² / s to 15mm² / s. Kinematic viscosity is a value measured at 25°C using a type B viscometer.
[0028] The non-volatile oily agent is not particularly limited as long as it has a kinematic viscosity at 25°C of 4 mm² / s to 20 mm² / s and can be used for cosmetics. Examples of non-volatile oily agents include ester oils such as dicaprylyl carbonate, coco caprylate / caprate, heptyl undecylenate, hydrogenated ethylhexyl olivate / hydrogenated olive oil unsaponifiables, ethyl isostearate, and hexyl laurate; and hydrocarbon oils such as C15-19 alkanes and liquid paraffin. [0032] In the present description, the term "spherical" includes not only a true spherical shape but also an substantially spherical shape, an elliptical spherical shape and the like, and designates a shape in which a ratio (aspect ratio) between a major axis and a minor axis is from 1.0 to 1.5, and preferably from 1.0 to 1.2. A spherical particle, as component (b), may have a smooth surface, may have pores on the surface, or may have tiny irregularities on the surface.
[0033] The volume-weighted average diameter of a spherical particle is preferably between 5 µm and 30 µm, more preferably between 6 µm and 25 µm, and even more preferably between 7 µm and 20 µm. When the volume-weighted average diameter of a spherical particle falls within the above range, the oil-based cosmetic according to the present embodiment tends to exhibit a good feel, a good finish, and a good blurring function (a gradation function to make pores and the like less visible). The volume-weighted average diameter is a particle diameter (median diameter) at which accumulation reaches 50% when a cumulative volume distribution curve is plotted from a small-diameter side in the particle size distribution measured by a laser diffraction / scattering method.
[0034] The material of the spherical particles is preferably chosen from the point of view of dispersibility (wetting of the spherical particles) and usability in oil-based cosmetics. [0036] The proportion of component (b) is preferably from 30% by mass to 65% by mass, and more preferably from 35% by mass to 60% by mass.
[0037] The mass ratio between the content of component (b) and the content of component (a) is from 1.0 to 3.5. When the content of component (b) is equal to or greater than 1.0 times the content of component (a), a good powder feel tends to be obtained after application. Furthermore, when the content of component (b) is equal to or less than 3.5 times the content of component (a), the spreadability at the time of application tends to be good, and the durability of the makeup after application tends to be good. The mass ratio of the content of component (b) to the content of component (a) is preferably from 1.1 to 3.0, and more preferably from 1.1 to 2.3.
[0038] [(c) Film-forming agent]

[0092] The dimethicone contained in the trimethylsiloxysilicic acid / dimethicone mixture used in Example 4 corresponds to component (a) because the kinematic viscosity at 25°C is 6mm2 / s and the boiling point at 1 atm is 290°C or more.
[0093] As shown in Tables 1 to 5, the oil-based cosmetics of Examples 1 to 11, containing components (a) to (d) and with a mass ratio of component (b) to component (a) between 1.0 and 3.5, exhibit excellent spreadability upon application, a non-sticky powder feel after application, and excellent makeup durability. In contrast, the oil-based cosmetics of Comparative Examples 1 and 2, in which an oily agent with high kinematic viscosity was used instead of component (a), exhibited inferior spreadability upon application and did not provide a powdery feel after application. Furthermore, in the oil-based cosmetic of Comparative Example 3, with a mass ratio of component (b) to component (a) less than 1.0, no powdery feel was obtained after application. In contrast, the oil-based cosmetic in comparative example 4, whose mass ratio between the content of component (b) and the content of component (a) was greater than 3.5, exhibited lower spreadability and shorter makeup durability upon application. Furthermore, the oil-based cosmetic in comparative example 5, lacking component (c), exhibited an inferior finish after application and shorter makeup durability.
[0094] The oil-based cosmetics of Examples I to 4 and I to 11 are suitable as solid foundation, while that of Example 5 is suitable as liquid foundation. For reference, formulation examples other than foundation are shown in Table 6 below. The numerical values in a column for each component in Table 6 indicate the mixing ratio (unit: % by mass) of the component, and a blank space indicates that the component is not mixed. Furthermore, all kinematic viscosities in Table 6 are values at 25°C. An oil-based cosmetic of formulation Example 1 is suitable for eyeshadow, an oil-based cosmetic of formulation Example 2 is suitable for the cheeks, and an oil-based cosmetic Formulation Example 3 is suitable for a basic cosmetic.
