TITLE OF THE INVENTION: METHOD AND DEVICE FOR DETERMINING AN ELECTRICAL INFLUENCE VALUE ON A BURIED METAL CONDUCT The method (100) for determining an electrical influence value on a buried metal conduit from an external direct current source comprises: - a step (105) of placing a metal indicator in the ground near the buried cathodically protected gas conduit, said indicator being electrically connected to the conduit, - a step (110) of generating a direct cathodic current from a metal mass to the installed metal indicator, - a step (115) of measuring the voltage or current on the metal indicator,- a step (120) of adapting the intensity of the cathodic current generated on the metallic mass so that the DC voltage on the metallic witness is within a determined range of voltage values without ohmic drop corresponding to compliance with a cathodic protection criterion dependent on resistivity ranges and the type of burial medium of the conduit, and - a step (125) of measuring the cathodic current intensity on the metallic witness, corresponding to the adapted cathodic current.
