Abstract
Description
Title of the invention: Precise Torque Clamp
[0001] The invention relates to an innovative orthodontic device that allows for precise torque adjustments, an essential step in orthodontic treatments. This device is designed for use by orthodontists to optimize the curvature of orthodontic archwires in treatments requiring meticulous adjustments.
[0002] The device consists of two separate clamps, each having a specific function: • First clamp: It has graduations ranging from 0° to 30°, allowing for precise measurement of the torque angle. • Second clamp: Its head is sculpted in the shape of a sharp needle to improve visual precision when adjusting the torque.
[0003] The specific advantages 1. Increased precision a. This provides better adaptation to the patient's orthodontic treatment plan thanks to the graduation. By allowing very fine angle adjustments, the clamp ensures that torque fabrications are precise and symmetrical, thus optimizing the effectiveness of orthodontic treatment. 2. Reliability and repeatability a. The device offers the possibility of reliably repeating precise adjustments, which can be important in complex treatments requiring regular readjustments. b. Advantage: Reliability in angle reproduction avoids errors in processing and ensures consistent results at every stage. 3. Strength and durability a. The choice of 420 steel guarantees high resistance to wear and increased longevity, while offering the possibility of sterilizing the device repeatedly without losing its mechanical properties. b. Advantage: The material guarantees not only sanitary safety (thanks to sterilization), but also durable use without compromising the precision of adjustments. 4. Time saving a. The ability to adjust the torque precisely in a single step, thanks to the clear graduations and the ergonomics of the clamp, reduces the time required to make adjustments. b. Advantage: This allows the orthodontist to save time while obtaining more precise results.
[0004] Comparison between the classical method and this invention
[0005] Traditionally, torque adjustment is done with two simple clamps and a graduated black plate to check the angle. The new invention eliminates the need for this plate, thanks to the integrated graduations and the pointed head which facilitates precision.
[0006] Characteristic of the two clamps 1. First pair of pliers: a. Length: 130 mm b. Head: 15 mm, with graduations from 0° to 30° in both clockwise and counterclockwise directions c. Handle width: 50 mm d. Clamp thickness: 8 mm e. Head: 2 mm for fine handling f. Ergonomic handles designed to hold the orthodontic archwire in place during adjustment. 2. Second pair of pliers: a. Length: 130 mm b. Head: Pointed part of 15 mm and rounded part of 12 mm c. Handle width: 50 mm d. Clamp thickness: 8 mm e. Head: 2 mm for fine handling f. Ergonomic handles for easy adjustment of the orthodontic archwire.
[0007] Objective of the invention
[0008] The objective of this invention is to improve the efficiency and precision of torque adjustments, a process essential for the completion of orthodontic treatments. Thanks to the double clamp, this instrument guarantees optimal adjustments while eliminating margins of error. Brief description of the drawings
