Title of the invention: DEVICE FOR ATTACHING DECORATIVE BARRETTES TO A UNIFORM technical field

[0001] The present invention relates to a device for attaching at least one decorative bar to an official's garment, such as a uniform or formal attire. The invention also relates to a decoration kit comprising at least one such device. PREVIOUS STATE OF THE ART

[0002] In certain professions (particularly in the military, police, gendarmerie, and fire service), clothing such as uniforms and ceremonial attire is generally complemented by the wearing of civil or military decorations in various forms. For example, these decorations may be in the form of medals or decorative bars, known as Dixmude bars. Each bar consists of a plaque on which a colored ribbon with a specific meaning is mounted. It is sometimes necessary to wear several bars at once to represent the different distinctions earned. To this end, and to improve the overall presentation, the bars are arranged (in rows and columns) in a specific order and then affixed to a support covered with black cloth.

[0003] It is known that, to manufacture these decorations, the ribbon is attached to the barrette plate by sewing. Similarly, each barrette is attached to the backing by sewing. Although offering a very high-quality aesthetic result, such an attachment technique is relatively complex and time-consuming, which leads to high manufacturing costs.

[0039] DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF TWO EXAMPLES OF IMPLEMENTATION

[0040] Figs. 1 and 2 illustrate a device 1 intended to fix at least one decorative barrette 3 to a garment (not illustrated) and which comprises a first support 2, called the decoration support, at least one barrette 3 and second means of fixing 6 intended to fix the at least one barrette 3 to the first support 2.

Device (1) for attaching at least one decorative bar (3) to a garment, said device (1) comprising: - a first decorative support (2) which includes: • a first plate (21); • a sheet (22) configured to cover said first plate (21); • first fastening means for attaching said first decorative support (2) to said garment; - at least one bar (3) for attaching to said first support (2), each bar (3) comprising a second ribbon support (4) and a ribbon (5); - second fastening means (6) for reversibly attaching said at least one bar (3) to said first decorative support (2).

Device (1) according to claim 1, characterized in that said first support (2) comprises at least one pair of holes (211) or one pair of pins (42) and in that each second support (4) comprises a pair of pins (42) intended to be inserted into an associated pair of holes (211) of said first support (2) or respectively a pair of holes (211) intended to receive an associated pair of pins (42) of said first support (2), wherein said at least one pair of holes (211) and said associated pair of pins (42) form said second fastening means (6).

Device (1) according to claim 2, characterized in that the second fastening means (6) further comprise, for each hole (211), an eyelet (23) inserted into said hole (211) associated, where said eyelet (23) encloses said sheet (22) and said first plate (21) so as to fix said sheet (22) to said first plate (21) and where said pins (42) of said second support (4) are forcibly inserted into said eyelets (23) so as to fix said bar (3) to said first support (2).

Device (1) according to claim 2 or 3, characterized in that, when several pairs of holes (211) are provided in said first support (2) and several bars (3) are fixed to said first support (2), said pairs of holes (211) exhibit a determined and constant spacing between them and said bars (3) all have identical dimensions.

Device (1) according to any one of claims 2 to 4, characterized in that said second support (4) comprises a second plate (41) having a front face (41a) and a rear face (41b), where said pins (42) extend from said rear face (41b) of said second support (4) and globally perpendicular to said rear face (41b).

6. Device (1) according to claim 3, characterized in that said rear face (41b) has a recess (43) around each pin (42), said recesses (43) having a depth greater than a thickness of a rim 231 of said eyelet (23) protruding from said first support (2).

7. Device (1) according to claims 3 and 5, characterized in that each strip (3) comprises an adhesive element (7) extending over said front face (41a) of said second support (4), said strip (5) being fixed to said second support (4) by said adhesive element (7).

Device (1) according to claim 7, characterized in that said adhesive element (7) extends over said front face (41a) and partly over said rear face (41b) extending from the upper (41c) and lower (41d) edges of said second plate (41) to said recesses (43), where said tape (5) is applied over the whole of said adhesive element (7).

Device (1) according to claim 7, characterized in that said second support (4) has a through opening (44) and in that said bar (3) further comprises at least one decorative clip (8), said clip (8) comprising a third plate (81) from which extend fixing bars (82) intended to pass through said tape (5) and said adhesive element (7) until they are received in said through opening (44) of said second support (4).

Decoration kit comprising at least one device (1) according to any one of claims 1 to 9, characterized in that it comprises a plurality of first decoration supports (2) and a plurality of bars (3) to be fixed on said first supports (2), wherein each first support (2) comprises a determined number of pairs of holes (211).
