Abstract

ON-BOARD DEVICE FOR SECURING A LEVEL CROSSING ON A RAILWAY TRACK The invention relates to an on-board device (1) for securing a level crossing (2) on a traffic track (3) of a railway vehicle (4) comprising: a blade (7), called the safety blade, fixed at one of its ends to a drum (6) mounted rotatably, and configured to be able to be arranged according to a first mechanical configuration in which said safety blade can be wound around said drum (6), and a second mechanical configuration in which said safety blade is unwound from the drum and forms a rigid self-supporting barrier intended to secure said level crossing of the traffic track; guiding means (8.1) and shaping means (8.2) of said safety blade, configured to allow bidirectional tilting of said safety blade between the two configurations.
