The present invention relates to a novel carbon-negative, concrete-like solid material obtained by compacting and heat-treating a composition comprising a complex mixture of polysaccharides or a natural gum, clay, sand and / or a sand-clay mixture, and water; a process for manufacturing said solid material; and its use in various applications, particularly in the field of construction materials.
