Abstract
Description
Title of the invention: Device for conditioning and applying a product to the lips technical field
[0001] The present invention relates to the closure elements of cosmetic product containers, in particular lipstick, makeup product or care or hygiene product, in particular stick deodorant.
[0002] More generally, a cosmetic product is a product as defined in Regulation (EC) No 1223 / 2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 30 November 2009 on cosmetic products. Previous technique
[0003] There are many types of closure devices. For example, from applications EP 2 104 572, EP 4 014 786 and FR 3 117 749, devices including a groove, for example to receive reliefs of the closure cap, the groove being disposed towards the top of a pump fixing collar placed on a neck of the container.
[0004] In application FR 2 394 464, the closing cap has slats with projections intended to cooperate with an annular relief of a hand pump bottle or an aerosol can.
[0005] In the utility model CN215664885U, this refers to the closure of a bottle.
[0006] In application EP 4 262 470, the device comprises a first elastic interlocking relief and a second elastic interlocking relief, one of which is made of metal. Furthermore, the relief is formed within a cylindrical portion. There is no progressive tensioning of the elastic interlocking reliefs, nor is this tension released by elastic return.
[0007] Cosmetic bottle closure systems comprising one or more magnets to ensure contact between the closure member and the container by a phenomenon of magnetic attraction are also known, for example by utility models CN 217791865 U, CN 207979222 U, and applications JP 2020-89680 and FR 3 056 386.
[0008] Magnetic closure systems are particularly appreciated by consumers, especially for their ease of use and the sensations they provide.
[0009] However, such systems require the use of permanent magnets, which represent a high cost, penalize the recycling of the product at the end of its life and constitute a scarce resource.
[0010] The proposal of eco-responsible, environmentally friendly solutions, whose design and development take into account environmental issues, is becoming a major concern in order to contribute to meeting planetary challenges.
[0011] It is therefore essential to design products that reduce the amount of materials used and / or replace them with more environmentally friendly materials and / or use recyclable materials in order to reduce the carbon footprint of the product.
[0012] There is therefore a need to further improve container closure mechanisms in order in particular to reproduce the behavior of a magnetic closure system, while being inexpensive, reliable and eco-friendly. Summary of the invention
[0013] The invention aims to meet all or part of this need and relates to a device for packaging and applying a cosmetic product, in particular makeup or skincare, for example to be applied to the lips, in particular lipstick, comprising a container for holding the product, the container comprising: - a drive mechanism comprising a first part and a second part carrying the product, - a base part in which the second part is at least partially received, the base part comprising a frustoconical portion, the container comprising a groove integral with the container, the groove being formed on the base part, the device further comprising a container closure member, comprising elastic flexible tabs, the elastic flexible tabs each comprising a protruding relief,The protruding ridges of the flexible elastic legs cooperate with the groove of the container in the closed position of the device, the closing member and the container being configured so that the closing member performs a closing stroke until it reaches the closed position, a closing stroke in which the protruding ridges of the flexible elastic legs rub against the frustoconical portion of the container until they cooperate with the groove.
[0014] The product may be, but is not limited to, a cosmetic product, such as lipstick, makeup, or a skincare product. It is a lip product. The device is configured to allow the application of the product to the lips. Alternatively, the product may be a hygiene product, such as a stick deodorant.
[0015] The closing member and the container can be configured so that the closing member performs a closing stroke in which the closing member The groove rubs against the truncated conical portion of the container until it reaches the closed position. The groove can be positioned in an area of the container corresponding to a closing limit of the closing mechanism on the container, in particular the base of the container.
[0016] The conicity of the frustoconical portion allows for a gradual tensioning of the elastic flexible tabs, thanks to friction between the protruding ridges of the elastic flexible tabs of the closing mechanism and the frustoconical portion of the container. This friction increases as the closing mechanism moves downwards along the frustoconical portion during the closing stroke. At the beginning of the closing stroke, the friction can be very low, then there is an increasing frictional force with a gradual tensioning of the elastic flexible tabs, and finally a release when the protruding ridges of the elastic flexible tabs encounter the groove. This further improves the simulation of automatic closure in the presence of one or more magnets.
[0017] The protruding reliefs of the flexible elastic legs can have a triangular shape in longitudinal section, forming entry and exit slopes, the entry and exit slopes being of equal or different inclinations with respect to a longitudinal axis of the device.
[0018] Alternatively, the protruding reliefs of the flexible elastic legs can take the form of a ridge, in particular a ridge with a semi-circular cross-section, formed on the flexible elastic legs.
[0019] The flexible elastic tabs provide elastic flexibility in the radial direction. They can have a spring effect on the closing member, in particular to hold it on the container in the closed position, especially on the base of the container, the flexible elastic tabs being in particular under elastic stress in this closed position.
[0020] The flexible elastic leg(s) may have a free end, the lower or upper end of each of the flexible elastic legs being free and not held in place. The flexible elastic leg can thus deform more easily. Alternatively, the flexible elastic leg(s) may be provided between two slots. The flexible elastic leg(s) can thus be held at each of their two ends.
[0021] The cooperation of the elastic flexible tabs and the groove makes it possible to produce a hard point at the opening, corresponding to the tensioning of the elastic flexible tabs under the effect of the protruding ridges outside the groove, then to give the sensation that the opening is easy once the hard point is passed, the friction force existing between the protruding ridges carried by the elastic flexible tabs and the frustoconical portion of the container gradually decreasing until reaching a zero value when this contact is broken and the closing element is separated from the container.
[0022] At closing, the cooperation of the flexible elastic legs and the container, in particular the base part of the container and more particularly the truncated conical portion of the base of the container, makes it possible to provide a resistance force, corresponding to the progressive tensioning of the flexible elastic legs when the protruding ridges of the legs come into contact with the container, and to the friction forces between these elements when the protruding ridges travel along the truncated conical portion of the base, then a sensation that the closing member comes into position on its own on the container, in particular on the base part of the container, with a release effect, corresponding to the elastic relaxation of the flexible elastic legs when the protruding ridges are in line with the throat and come to rest in it.
[0023] In addition, the friction provides a sensation of resistance which increases the sensation of release at the entrance of the throat, as would the attraction by a magnet.
[0024] The closure appears to the user to be advantageously clear and direct.
[0025] The invention allows the user to experience the sensations obtained when opening and / or closing a container where the closing mechanism and / or the container contains one or more permanent magnets. The invention mechanically imitates a magnetic closure of a container, without using a permanent magnet.
[0026] The closing mechanism may be without a permanent magnet. The container, in particular the base of the container, may be without a permanent magnet. The device may be without a permanent magnet.
[0027] The device extends along a longitudinal axis, preferably a straight one. The device may be elongated along the longitudinal axis. Description of the invention Throat
[0028] The groove forms a recess designed to receive the protruding ridges of the flexible elastic tabs carried by the closing member in the closed position of the device, after they have traveled along the frustoconical portion of the base of the container. The groove is not a protruding ridge. The shape of the groove can be chosen so that there is axial play between the groove and the protruding ridges of the flexible elastic tabs when the latter are received in the groove.
[0029] The groove may be annular, being continuous, or non-annular, being discontinuous. It may have a plurality of recesses, with at least one recess in view of one or more flexible elastic legs, or even several recesses facing several flexible elastic legs.
[0030] The groove may have a rounded edge, the rounded edge having a radius of curvature between 0.05 and 2 mm, or even between 0.1 and 1.5 mm, preferably between 0.15 and 0.7 mm. The presence of this rounded edge prevents excessive stress on the flexible elastic tabs during their movement in and out of the groove. Base part
[0031] The base part may include a gripping portion that is visible and accessible from the outside when the closing member is in place on the container in the closed position of the device.
[0032] The groove may be located on the base, above said gripping portion. The groove may be concealed when the closing element is in place on the container in the closed position of the device.
[0033] The base part may include a portion that is hidden when the device is closed. This hidden portion may be covered by the closing mechanism when the device is closed. This hidden portion may be at least partially frustoconical.
[0034] The base portion includes a frustoconical section. A groove may be formed at the base of the frustoconical section. In particular, the groove may be formed between the frustoconical section and a gripping portion of the base portion. The frustoconical section of the base portion may be concealed when the closing element is in place on the container in the closed position of the device.
[0035] By "truncated cone portion," we mean a truncated cone shape with a circular base, or a truncated pyramid shape, for example with a non-circular base, being polygonal, particularly square, and especially having rounded corners, being wider at the bottom than at the top. The truncated cone portion may thus have one or more faces forming an angle with the longitudinal axis X, allowing the elastic flexible tabs to be tensioned by contact with it. The truncated cone portion of the base, and the face or faces it defines, may have a flat surface or, alternatively, a slightly concave or slightly outwardly convex surface in the radial direction, while still forming an angle with the longitudinal axis X, without departing from the scope of the present invention.
[0036] The width is measured as a maximum dimension of the base portion in the radial direction, measured perpendicular to a longitudinal direction of the container. By 'downwards', it is understood that the width measurement is taken at one end of the frustoconical portion oriented towards the gripping portion in the longitudinal direction. By 'upwards', it is understood that the width measurement is carried out at one end of the truncated conical portion oriented opposite to the gripping part in the longitudinal direction.
[0037] The conicity of the frustoconical portion also allows for an improved centering effect when closing the device.
[0038] The truncated conical portion may have an external surface of conical shape, forming an angle with a longitudinal axis of the device of between 0.1° and 10°, or even between 0.5° and 5°, being for example between 2° and 4°.
[0039] In one embodiment, the force required to push the closing member to the closed position is between 1 N and 4 N, better between 1.4 N and 3.2 N, being for example close to 1.8 N.
[0040] The frustoconical portion can extend over a height measured along the longitudinal axis greater than 2 mm, for example between 2 and 10 mm, in particular between 5 and 10 mm, better between 6 and 9 mm, being for example between 7 and 8 mm.
[0041] In one embodiment, the gripping portion and the concealed portion, in particular the frustoconical portion, are made in one piece. The base part may be in one piece.
[0042] Alternatively, the gripping portion and the concealed portion, in particular the frustoconical portion, are made of two separate and assembled parts. The base part may be in two or more parts. Such a configuration allows the frustoconical portion, intended to cooperate with the second part of the drive mechanism, to be changed, thus enabling the device to be recharged after use of the product.
[0043] In one embodiment, the base part may include a separately manufactured and assembled bottom portion. Such a configuration may facilitate demolding in the case of manufacturing by molding.
[0044] The closing member and the container can be configured so that the closing member makes a closing stroke to the closing position, closing stroke in which the closing member rubs against the container, in particular the protruding reliefs of the flexible elastic legs rub against the container, in particular on the frustoconical portion of the base part.
[0045] The closing stroke may have a length of at least 2 mm, in particular at least 3 mm. The closing stroke may have a length, for example, between 7 and 8 mm. The closing stroke may have a length of less than 10 mm, in particular less than 8 mm.
[0046] The closing stroke corresponds to the distance traveled by the closing mechanism on the container before the protruding ridges of the flexible elastic tabs meet the groove of the container. The closing stroke extends from the entry into contact of the protruding reliefs with the container, in particular the base part of the container, until they are received in the throat.
[0047] During this closing stroke, the closing member rubs against the container, in particular on the base part of the container, in particular the protruding reliefs of the flexible elastic legs rub against the container, in particular on the truncated conical portion of the base part of the container.
[0048] Such a configuration makes it possible to simulate the movement of a closing mechanism towards a container in the presence of magnets, in order to simulate entry into the magnetic field lines of a magnet. For this purpose, it is useful to have a sufficient length of friction before the protruding features reach the groove of the container.
[0049] The closing stroke also provides a resistance effect, in other words, a piston effect, during closing. Indeed, an inner diameter of the closing element can be adjusted to an outer diameter of the drive mechanism, and in particular its first part, so that the air present between the closing element and the drive mechanism offers some resistance to the axial movement of the closing element towards the base. This resistance effect can accentuate the effect due to the closing stroke on the frustoconical portion. This piston effect can compensate for a decrease in force due to a moderate closing stroke length.
[0050] The closing stroke can extend axially along a longitudinal axis of the device. The movement of the closing element relative to the container can occur parallel to the longitudinal axis of the device.
[0051] The groove can be formed between the top of the base portion and a shoulder connecting the concealed portion of the base portion to the gripping portion of the container. The groove can be formed in the lower half of the height of the concealed portion, or even in the last third, preferably in the last quarter of the height of the concealed portion.
[0052] The groove may be formed on a lateral surface of the container, in particular on the concealed portion of the container. It may go all the way around the concealed portion.
[0053] The base portion may include an angular indexing relief for the closing element. The angular indexing relief is configured to allow angular indexing of the closing element relative to the container, and in particular its base portion.
[0054] The base part can be made of a plastic material, for example PET, or alternatively of glass, ceramic, or a plant-based material, for example bamboo or wood. It can be covered with a cap, for example metallic or alternatively electroplated or made of glass, ceramic, or a plant-based material. For example, bamboo or wood. This can produce a metallic sound when the closure mechanism is placed on the container. Closing mechanism
[0055] The closing mechanism may include a cover that, in the closed position, covers the groove and the flexible elastic tabs. This conceals the flexible elastic tabs, improving the aesthetics of the device. The groove may not be positioned too low; in particular, it may be located more than 1.5 mm from the bottom of the closing mechanism when the latter is in the closed position, or even more than 1 mm, and specifically more than 0.5 mm from the bottom of the closing mechanism when the latter is in the closed position. The groove may not be positioned too high; in particular, it may be located less than 5 mm, or even less than 3 mm, from the bottom of the closing mechanism when the latter is in the closed position.
[0056] The closing mechanism may include at least one angular indexing notch for the closed position on the container. The angular indexing notch(s) may be complementary to the angular indexing relief on the base portion.
[0057] The closing member may include a hood and an insert inserted in the hood, the flexible elastic tabs being carried by the hood or by the insert.
[0058] In one embodiment, the flexible elastic legs are carried by the insert.
[0059] The insert can be made of a plastic material, in particular a material chosen from the following, which is not exhaustive: PP, PE, PET, PETG, PBT. The cover can typically be made of metallic material or plastic material, or alternatively of glass, ceramic, or plant material, for example bamboo or wood, in particular covered with a metallic coating or lacquer.
[0060] The insert can be covered by the cap, which is, for example, made of plastic or metal. A metal cap can produce a metallic sound, particularly a metal-on-metal sound, when the container, and more specifically the base, is made of metal or has a metal casing, during the placement of the closing mechanism on the container. The sound produced during closure can thus be improved.
[0061] The hood may protrude slightly from the insert, providing a small step with the insert when it is in place in the hood, thus ensuring that the insert does not protrude from the hood, which is aesthetically advantageous.
[0062] The device, in particular the insert, may comprise a plurality of flexible elastic legs, in particular between 1 and 8 flexible elastic legs, in particular between 2 and 6 flexible elastic legs, including three or four flexible elastic legs. In particular, the device, in particular the insert, may comprise 4 flexible elastic legs arranged at 90° to each other, or 2 diametrically opposed flexible elastic legs, or 3 flexible elastic legs at 120° to each other. one of the others. Such an arrangement is advantageous in terms of balancing the closure. Drive mechanism
[0063] The product may be in the form of a grape, in particular lipstick, or in the form of a stick, in particular deodorant.
[0064] According to the invention, the groove is not formed on the drive mechanism, and in particular is not formed on the first or second part of the drive mechanism. Advantageously, a standard drive mechanism can be used in the invention without requiring any modification.
[0065] The drive mechanism can be configured to allow longitudinal drive of the product, along a longitudinal axis of the device, in particular from the inside of the container to the outside.
[0066] Alternatively, the drive mechanism can be configured to allow rotational drive combined with longitudinal drive of the product, which can follow a helical path.
[0067] The drive mechanism may include a first part and a second part that can rotate relative to the first part to distribute the product, one of the first and second parts having an element axially fixed relative to the other of the first and second parts.
[0068] The drive mechanism may further include anti-rotation means attached to the second part and cooperating with the base part so as to allow the drive mechanism to move axially relative to the base part while allowing the second part to be substantially fixed in rotation relative to the base part.
[0069] During use, the user can hold the first part of the drive mechanism while applying a rotational torque to the base part. This allows the drive mechanism to move axially relative to the base part while allowing the second part to be substantially fixed in rotation relative to the base part.
[0070] The anti-rotation means can be made with the second part, in particular in the form of a portion having a non-symmetrical cross-section of revolution, for example polygonal or oval or comprising at least one lug, rib or grooves.
[0071] The drive mechanism may include a cup supporting the product in the form of a grape, in particular lipstick, the cup being able to be moved axially when the first part rotates relative to the second part.
[0072] The cup may include at least one lug that slides into a slot in a tubular wall of the second part, this lug having an end protruding from the slot and engaged in a helical groove attached to the first part. Brief description of the drawings

[0087] Figures 1 to 6b illustrate a device 1 for conditioning and applying a cosmetic, makeup, or skincare product P to the lips, for example, lipstick. The product P may be in the form of a grape. The device 1 extends along a straight longitudinal axis X. The device 1 is elongated along the longitudinal axis X.
[0088] The device 1 comprises a container 10 for containing the product P and a closure member 20 for the container 10, as illustrated in [Fig.1].
[0089] The container 10 includes a drive mechanism 2 comprising a first part 4 and a second part 3 carrying the product P, and a base part 30 in which the second part 3 is received at least partially.
[0090] The container has a groove 15 integral with the container 10, the groove being formed on the base portion 30, on a lateral surface of the container. In this example, it makes a complete circumference of the base portion 30.
[0091] The closing member 20 of the container 10 comprises flexible elastic tabs 22, each of the flexible elastic tabs having a protruding ridge 22a, the protruding ridges 22a of the flexible elastic tabs 22 cooperating with the groove 15 of the container in the closed position of the device. In the example described, the groove 15 is annular, being continuous. It can be seen in [Fig. 3a] that there remains axial clearance between the groove 15 and the protruding ridges 22a of the flexible elastic tabs 22 when the latter are received in the groove 15.
[0092] The protruding features 22a of the flexible elastic legs 22 have a triangular shape in longitudinal section, forming inlet and outlet slopes. The inlet and outlet slopes may have equal or different inclinations with respect to a longitudinal axis X of the device.
[0093] The closing member 20 and the container 10 are configured so that the closing member 20 performs a closing stroke from the position shown in [Fig. 3b], in which there is no friction between the protruding ridges 22a of the flexible elastic tabs 22 and the container 10, until it reaches the closed position illustrated in [Fig. 3a]. During this closing stroke, the closing member 20 rubs against the base 30 of the container 10 until it reaches the closed position. The closing stroke can have a length, for example, between 7 and 8 mm. The closing stroke extends axially along the longitudinal axis X of the device. The movement of the closing member 20 relative to the container 10 is parallel to the longitudinal axis X of the device.
[0094] The base part 30 includes a gripping portion 31 visible and accessible from the outside when the closing member 20 is in place on the container 10 in the closed position of the device 1, as well as a hidden portion 32 in the closed position of the device 1. The hidden portion 32 is covered by the closing member 20 in the closed position of the device 1.
[0095] This masked portion 32 is partially frustoconical, comprising a frustoconical portion 33 as well as the groove 15 located on the base part 30, above the gripping portion 31 and below the frustoconical portion 33. The groove 15 is also masked when the closing member 20 is in place on the container 10 in the closed position of the device 1.
[0096] The frustoconical portion 33 has an external surface of conical shape, as illustrated in [Fig. 3b], forming with the longitudinal axis X of the device an angle y of approximately 1° to 5°, being for example 3°. The frustoconical portion 33 extends over a height h measured along the longitudinal axis X of approximately 7 to 8 mm.
[0097] The base part 30 comprising a frustoconical portion 33, the closing member 20 and the container 10 are configured so that the closing member 20 performs the closing stroke until the closing position, closing stroke in which the protruding reliefs 22a of the flexible elastic legs come to rub on the frustoconical portion 33 of the container 10 until cooperating with the groove 15.
[0098] In the illustrated embodiment, the base part 30 comprises a bottom portion 34 manufactured separately and assembled with the rest of the base part 30. The gripping portion 31 and the concealed portion 32, in particular the truncated conical portion 33, are made in one piece, apart from the bottom portion 34.
[0099] The base portion 30 also includes a shoulder 35 connecting the concealed portion 32 of the base portion 30 to the gripping portion 31 of the container. The groove 15 is formed between the top of the base portion 30 and the shoulder 35.
[0100] Furthermore, the base part 30 has a relief 36 for angular indexing of the closing member 20, in order to allow angular indexing of the closing member 20 relative to the container 10, and in particular its base part 30.
[0101] The closing member 20 has an angular indexing notch 26 for closed position on the container 10, which is complementary to the angular indexing relief 36 of the base part 30.
[0102] The closing member 20 comprises a cover 23 which, in the closed position, covers the groove 15 and the flexible elastic tabs 22, as well as an insert 24 inserted into the cover 23. The flexible elastic tabs 22 are carried by the insert 24, which in this example comprises four flexible elastic tabs 22 arranged at 90° to each other, as seen in [Fig.5b].
[0103] The hood 23 protrudes slightly from the insert 24, providing a small step with the insert when it is in place in the hood, as seen in [Fig.5a].
[0104] The drive mechanism 2, illustrated in isolation in [Fig.6a], is in the described example configured to allow rotational drive of the product, which can follow a helical path.
[0105] For this purpose, the drive mechanism 2 comprises a first part 4 and a second part 3 which can rotate relative to the first part 4 to distribute the product, the second part 3 comprising an element 14 which is axially fixed relative to the first part 4, as illustrated in [Fig.6b].
[0106] The drive mechanism 2 further comprises anti-rotation means in the form of ribs or grooves 45 integral with the second part 3 and cooperating with the base part 30 so as to allow the drive mechanism 2 to move axially relative to the base part 30 while allowing the second part 3 to be substantially fixed in rotation relative to the base part 30. The ribs or grooves 45 are made with the second part 3, as illustrated in [Fig.6a], being made at the periphery of the element 14.
[0107] During use, the user can hold the first part 4 of the drive mechanism, while exerting a rotational torque on the base part 30. This allows the second part 3 of the drive mechanism 2 to move axially relative to the base part 30 while allowing the second part 3 to be substantially fixed in rotation relative to the base part 30.
[0108] Furthermore, the drive mechanism 2 includes a cup 12 supporting the product in the form of a grape, the cup 12 being able to be moved axially when the first part 4 rotates relative to the second part 3. The cup 12 includes at least one lug 17 slidingly engaged in a slot 16 of a tubular wall 13 of the second part 3, this lug having an end protruding from the slot 16 and engaged in a helical groove 7 integral with the first part 4.
[0109] It is of course possible, without departing from the scope of the present invention, to use drive mechanisms different from that described with reference to Figures 6a and 6b. The drive mechanism can, for example, be configured to allow purely longitudinal drive of the product, along a longitudinal axis of the device and without rotation around this axis.
