[0003] Patent Document 1: WO2019 / 207783 5 SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION PROBLEMS TO BE SOLVED BY THE INVENTION

[0004] In the scroll compressor of Patent Document 1, when the fixed scroll is inserted into a middle shell, the tip of the first spiral body provided in the fixed scroll might 10 interfere with the tip of the second spiral body of the orbiting scroll. If the fixed scroll is inserted into the middle shell while the tip of the first spiral body and the tip of the second spiral body are interfering with each other, the orbiting scroll is inclined, so that parallelism 15 and perpendicularity between the fixed scroll and the orbiting scroll are deteriorated. Here, the perpendicularity is an index indicating whether the second spiral body of the orbiting scroll is perpendicular to the base plate surface of the fixed scroll. Thus, the sliding resistance during 20 operation of the compressor increases and sealing property between compression chambers is deteriorated, whereby performance of the compressor is deteriorated. Therefore, a structure and an assembly method that allows assembly to be performed without interference between the tip of the first 25 spiral body of the fixed scroll and the tip of the second spiral body are needed.

[0005] The present disclosure has been made to solve the above problem, and an object of the present disclosure is to make it possible to avoid interference between the tip of the 5 first spiral body of the fixed scroll and the tip of the second spiral body of the orbiting scroll in assembling. [0010] Embodiment 1 The present embodiment relates to a scroll compressor used in an air conditioner, a refrigerator, or the like. Hereinafter, embodiment 1 will be described with 10 reference to drawings. FIG. 1 is a perspective view showing the scroll compressor, FIG. 2 is a schematic vertical sectional view showing the scroll compressor, FIG. 3 is a perspective view showing a middle shell, FIG. 4 is a perspective view showing a mam frame, and FIG. 5 is a 15 perspective view showing a fixed scroll as seen from the lower side. FIG. 6A and FIG. 6B are perspective views showing the orbiting scroll, FIG. 6A is a view as seen from the upper side, and FIG. 6B is a view as seen from the lower side. FIG. 7 is a perspective view showing an Oldham ring, 20 FIG. 8 is a perspective view showing a crankshaft, and FIG. 9 is a perspective view showing a bush. The scroll compressor shown in FIG. 1 is a so-called vertical-type scroll compressor used in a state in which the center axis of the crankshaft is substantially perpendicular to the ground

[0011] As shown in FIG. 1 and FIG. 2, the scroll compressor includes a shell 1, a main frame 2, a compression mechanism portion 3, a drive nechanism portion 4, a sub frame 5, a crankshaft 6, a bush 7, and a power supply portion 8. 5 In the following description, using the main frame 2 as a criterion, the side in which the compression mechanism portion 3 is provided (upper side) is defined as one end side (E in the drawings), and the side in which the drive mechanism portion 4 is provided (lower side) is defined as 10 another end side (F in the drawings). The shell 1 is a housing made of metal and closed at both ends, and includes a niddle shell 11, an upper shell 12, and a lower shell 13. The middle shell 11 is formed into a cylindrical shape, and a suction pipe 14 is connected to 15 the side wall thereof by welding or the like. The suction pipe 14 is a pipe for introducing a refrigerant into the shell 1, and communicates with the inside of the middle shell 11.

[0012] The upper shell 12 is formed into substantially a 20 hemisphere shape, a part of the side wall thereof is connected to the upper end of the middle shell 11 by welding or the like, and the upper shell 12 covers the upper opening of the middle shell 11. A discharge pipe 15 is connected to an upper part of the upper shell 12 by welding or the like. 25 The discharge pipe 15 is a pipe for discharging the refrigerant to the outside of the shell 1, and communicates with the internal space of the middle shell 11. The lower shell 13 is formed into substantially a hemisphere shape, a part of the side wall thereof is connected to the lower end 5 of the middle shell 11 by welding or the like, and the lower shell 13 covers the lower opening of the middle shell 11. The shell 1 is supported by a stationary base 16 having a plurality of screw holes. In the stationary base 16, a plurality of screw holes are formed and screws are screwed 10 into the screw holes, whereby the scroll compressor can be fixed to another member such as a housing of an outdoor unit.

[0013] As shown in FIG. 4, the main frame 2 is, for example, made of metal such as cast iron, and is a frame having a hollow part in which a cavity is formed. The main 15 frame 2 is provided inside the shell 1. The main frame 2 includes a body portion 21, a main bearing portion 22, and an oil return pipe 23. The body portion 21 is fixed to the inner wall surface on the one end side of the middle shell 11, and has, at the center thereof, a storage space 211 20 formed along the longitudinal direction of the shell 1. The storage space 211 opens on the one end side and has a step shape so that the space is narrowed toward the other end side. The body portion 21 has, on the one end side, an annular flat surface 212 surrounding the storage space 211. 25

[0014] On the flat surface 212, a ring-shaped thrust plate 24 made of a steel-plate material such as valve steel is provided (see FIG. 10). Therefore, in the present embodiment, the thrust plate 24 acts as a thrust bearing. Since the thrust plate 24 acts as a thrust bearing, a 5 rotation stopper for suppressing rotation is needed. Although not shown here, for example, the flat surface 212 of the main frame 2 may be provided with projections thinner than the thickness of the thrust plate 24, whereby rotation of the thrust plate 24 can be suppressed. Further, a 10 structure in which the main frame 2 has grooves, the thrust plate 24 has projections, and both components are fitted to each other, may be adopted. In the main frame 2, a suction port 213 is formed at a position in which the thrust plate 24 does not overlap on the outer end side of the flat surface 15  212. The suction port 213 is a space penetrating the body portion 21 in the up-down direction, i.e., between the upper shell 12 side and the lower shell 13 side. In FIG. 4, one suction port 213 and two oil return pipes 23 are provided, but the numbers thereof are not limited thereto. In 20 addition, the suction port 213 is shown as a through hole, but the suction port 213 may be formed as a cutout in which the outer wall is partially removed.

[0015] The main frame 2 has an Oldham storage portion 214 at a step part on the other end side with respect to the flat 25 surface 212. At the Oldham storage portion 214, a first Oldham groove 215 is formed. A part of the first Oldham groove 215 on the outer end side is formed such that the inner end side of the flat surface 212 is cut out. Thus, when the main frame 2 is seen from the one end side, the 5 first Oldham groove 215 partially overlaps the thrust plate 24. Paired two first Oldham grooves 215 are formed so as to be opposed to each other. The main bearing portion 22 is continuously formed on the other end side of the body portion 21 and has a shaft hole 221 therein. The shaft hole 221 is 10 provided so as to penetrate the main bearing portion 22 in the up-down direction, and the one end side thereof communicates with the storage space 211. The oil return pipe 23 is a pipe for returning lubricant oil stored in the storage space 211 to an oil reservoir provided inside the 15 lower shell 13, and is inserted and fixed into an oil discharge hole formed so as to penetrate the main frame 2 between the inner side and the outer side.

[0016] The lubricant oil is refrigerant oil containing ester-based synthetic oil, for example. The lubricant oil is 20 stored at the lower part of the shell 1, i.e., in the lower shell 13. The lubricant oil is sucked by an oil pump 52 described later and passes through an oil passage 63 in the crankshaft 6. And the lubricant oil reduces wear between mechanically contacting members of the compression mechanism 25 portion 3 and the like, adjusts the temperatures of sliding parts, and improves sealing property. It is preferable that the lubricant oil is high in lubrication property, electric insulation property, stability, refrigerant solubility, low-temperature fluidity, and the like, and has an appropriate 5 viscosity.

[0017] The compression mechanism portion 3 is a compression mechanism for compressing the refrigerant. The compression mechanism portion 3 is a scroll compression mechanism including a fixed scroll 31 and an orbiting scroll 10   32. As shown in FIG. 2 and FIG. 5, the fixed scroll 31 is made of metal such as cast iron, and includes a first base plate 311 and a first spiral body 312. The first base plate 311 is formed into a disk shape, and has a discharge port 313 penetrating in the up-down direction at the center. The 15 first spiral body 312 protrudes from the surface on the other end side of the first base plate 311 so as to form a spiral wall, and the tip of the spiral wall protrudes toward the other end side.

[0018] As shown in FIG. 6A and FIG. 6B, the orbiting 20 scroll 32 is made of metal such as aluminum, and includes a second base plate 321, a second spiral body 322, a cylindrical portion 323, and a second Oldham groove 324. The second base plate 321 is formed into a disk shape having one surface on which the second spiral body 322 is formed, 25 another surface whose outer circumferential area serves, at least partially, as a sliding surface 3211, and a side surface 3212 located at the radially outermost side and connecting the one surface and the another surface. The sliding surface 3211 is supported (borne) by the main frame 2 5 so as to be slidable on the thrust plate 24. The second spiral body 322 protrudes fron the one surface of the second base plate 321 so as to form a spiral wall, and the tip of the spiral wall protrudes toward the one end side.

[0019] At the tips of the first spiral body 312 of the 10 fixed scroll 31 and the second spiral body 322 of the orbiting scroll 32, seal members for suppressing leakage of the refrigerant are provided. The cylindrical portion 323 is a cylindrical boss protruding from substantially the center of the other surface of the second base plate 321 toward the 15 other end side. On the inner circumferential surface of the cylindrical portion 323, a swing bearing (so-called journal bearing) for rotatably supporting a slider 71 described later is provided such that the center axis of the bearing is parallel with the center axis of the crankshaft 6. The 20 second Oldham groove 324 is a groove formed at the another surface of the second base plate 321 and having a generally rectangular shape with ends formed into an arc shape. Paired two second Oldham grooves 324 are provided so as to be opposed to each other. A line connecting the paired two 25 second Oldham grooves 324 is set to be perpendicular to a line connecting the paired two first Oldham grooves 215. An Oldham ring 33 is disposed in the Oldham storage portion 214 in the main frame 2.

[0020] As shown in FIG. 7, the Oldham ring 33 includes a 5 ring portion 331, a first key portion 332, and a second key portion 333. The ring portion 331 is formed into a ring shape. Paired two first key portions 332 are formed so as to be opposed to each other on the surface on the other end side of the ring portion 331, and are stored in the paired two 10 first Oldham grooves 215 of the main frame 2. Paired two second key portions 333 are formed so as to be opposed to each other on the surface on the one end side of the ring portion 331, and are stored in the paired two second Oldham grooves 324 of the orbiting scroll 32. When the orbiting 15 scroll 32 revolves and orbits along with rotation of the crankshaft 6, the first key portions 332 slide in the first Oldham grooves 215 and the second key portions 333 slide in the second Oldham grooves 324, whereby the Oldham ring 33 prevents the orbiting scroll 32 from rotating. The first 20 spiral body 312 of the fixed scroll 31 and the second spiral body 322 of the orbiting scroll 32 are meshed with each other, whereby a compression chamber 34 is formed.

[0021] The volume of the compression chamber 34 is reduced from the outer side toward the inner side in the radial 25 direction, and thus the refrigerant is gradually compressed while moving to the center side after sucked from the outer end side of the spiral body. The compression chamber 34 communicates with the discharge port 313, at a center part of the fixed scroll 31. On the surface on the one end side of 5 the fixed scroll 31, a muffler 35 having a discharge hole 351 is provided, and a discharge valve 36 which opens / closes the discharge hole 351 in a predetermined case in order to prevent reverse flow of the refrigerant is provided.

[0022] The refrigerant is formed by, for example, 10 halogenated hydrocarbon having a double bond of carbon in the composition, halogenated hydrocarbon not having a double bond of carbon, hydrocarbon, or a mixture containing these. As the halogenated hydrocarbon having a double bond of carbon, there are a HFC refrigerant and a fluorocarbon-based low-GWP 15 refrigerant whose the ozone depletion potential is zero, and examples thereof include tetrafluoropropene such as HFO1234yf, HFO1234ze, and HFO1243zf, represented by the chemical formula C3H2F4. Examples of the halogenated hydrocarbon not having a double bond of carbon are a 20 refrigerant of R32 (difluoromethane) represented by CH2F2, and a refrigerant in which R41 and the like is mixed. Examples of the hydrocarbon are propane and propylene which are natural refrigerants. Examples of the mixture are mixed refrigerants obtained by mixing R32, R41, etc. in HFO1234yf, 25 HFO1234ze, HFO1243zf, etc.

[0023] As shown in FIG. 2, the drive mechanism portion 4 is provided on the other end side of the main frame 2 inside the shell 1. The drive mechanism portion 4 includes a stator 41 and a rotor 42. For example, the stator 41 is formed by 5 winding wires, with an insulating layer interposed, around a core composed of a plurality of stacked electromagnetic steel sheets, and is formed into a ring shape. The stator 41 is fixed and supported inside the middle shell 11 by shrink fit or the like. The rotor 42 is formed such that permanent 10 magnets are provided inside a core composed of a plurality of stacked electromagnetic steel sheets, and is formed into a cylindrical shape having a through hole penetrating in the up-down direction at a center part. The rotor 42 is provided in the internal space of the stator 41. 15

[0024] The sub frame 5 is a frame made of metal such as cast iron, for example, and is provided on the other end side of the drive mechanism portion 4 inside the shell 1. The sub frame 5 is fixed and supported on the inner circumferential surface on the other end side of the middle shell 11 by 20 shrink fit, welding, or the like. The sub frame 5 includes a sub bearing portion 51 and the oil pump 52 . The sub bearing portion 51 is a ball bearing provided on the one end side at a center part of the sub frame 5, and has a hole penetrating in the up-down direction at the center. 25 The oil pump 52 is provided on the other end side at a center part of the sub frame 5, and is disposed so as to be at least partially immersed in the lubricant oil stored in the oil reservoir of the shell 1. In FIG. 2, a ball bearing is shown as the sub bearing portion 51. However, this may be 5 a journal bearing, for example.

[0025] As shown in FIG. 2 and FIG. 8, the crankshaft 6 is a long rod-shaped member made of metal, and is provided inside the shell 1. The crankshaft 6 includes a main shaft portion 61, an eccentric shaft portion 62, and the oil 10 passage 63. The main shaft portion 61 is a shaft forming a major part of the crankshaft 6, and is disposed such that the center axis thereof coincides with the center axis of the middle shell 11. The rotor 42 is fixed so as to be in contact with the outer surface of the main shaft portion 61. 15 The eccentric shaft portion 62 is provided on the one end side of the main shaft portion 61 such that the center axis of the eccentric shaft portion 62 is eccentric with respect to the center axis of the main shaft portion 61. The oil passage 63 is provided so as to penetrate in the up-down 20 direction inside the main shaft portion 61 and the eccentric shaft portion 62. Regarding the crankshaft 6, one end side of the main shaft portion 61 is inserted into the main bearing portion 22 of the main frame 2, and the other end side is inserted and fixed into the sub bearing portion 51 of 25 the sub frame 5. Thus, the eccentric shaft portion 62 is disposed in the cylinder of the cylindrical portion 323 of the orbiting scroll 32. The outer circumferential surface of the rotor 42 and the inner circumferential surface of the stator 41 are disposed with a predetermined gap therebetween. 5 A first balancer 64 is provided on the one end side of the main shaft portion 61, and a second balancer 65 is provided on the other end side in order to cancel out imbalance due to swing of the orbiting scroll 32.

[0026] As shown in FIG. 9, the bush 7 is made of metal 10 such as iron, and is a connection member for connecting the orbiting scroll 32 and the crankshaft 6. In the present embodiment, the bush 7 is composed of two components, i.e., includes a slider 71 and a balance weight 72. The slider 71 is a cylindrical member having a flange, and is fitted to 15 each of the eccentric shaft portion 62 and the cylindrical portion 323. The balance weight 72 is a doughnut-shaped member having a weight portion 721 whose shape as seen from the one end side is substantially a C shape. The balance weight 72 is eccentrically provided with respect to the 20 rotation center in order to cancel out the centrifugal force of the orbiting scroll 32. The balance weight 72 is, for example, fitted to the flange of the slider 71 by shrink fit or the like. The bush 7 may be formed as one component by being cut by mechanical working and the like such that the 25 slider 71 and the balance weight 72 are integrally formed.

[0027] As shown in FIG. 1 to FIG. 3, the power supply portion 8 is a power supply member for supplying power to the scroll compressor, and is forned on the outer circumferential surface of the middle shell 11 of the shell 1. The power 5 supply portion 8 includes a cover 81, a power supply terminal 82, and a wire 83. The cover 81 is a bottomed cover member having an opening. The power supply terminal 82 is a metal member, with one side provided inside the cover 81 and another side provided inside the shell 1. One side of the 10 wire 83 is connected to the power supply terminal 82 and another side is connected to the stator 41.

[0028] FIG. 10 is an enlarged sectional view showing part X in FIG. 2, FIG. 11 is an enlarged sectional view of part A in FIG. 10, and FIG. 12 is an enlarged sectional view of part 15 B in FIG. 10. The middle shell 11 has a first protrusion portion 112 protruding in the radial direction from a first inner wall surface 111, and a first positioning surface 113 which is an end surface facing the upper shell 12 side of the first protrusion portion 112 and comes in contact with the 20 first base plate 311 of the fixed scroll 31 in order to determine the axial-direction position of the fixed scroll 31. The middle shell 11 has a second inner wall surface 114 which is the inner wall surface of the first protrusion portion 112, and a second protrusion portion 115 further 25 protruding in the radial direction from the first protrusion portion 112. The middle shell 11 has a second positioning surface 116 which is an end surface facing the upper shell 12 side of the second protrusion portion 115 and comes in contact with the body portion 21 of the main frame 2 in order 5 to determine the axial-direction position of the main frame 2. And the middle shell 11 has a third inner wall surface 117 which is the inner wall surface of the second protrusion portion 115. That is, the middle shell 11 is formed into a stepwise shape such that the inner diameter is reduced toward 10 the other end side.

[0029] The first positioning surface 113 and the second positioning surface 116 are formed so as to be substantially perpendicular to the center axis of the crankshaft 6 and such that the normal vectors of both positioning surfaces are set 15 so as to be directed in the same direction. A recess 1131 is formed at a corner in which the first positioning surface 113 and the first inner wall surface 111 intersect each other, and a recess 1161 is formed at a corner in which the second positioning surface 116 and the second inner wall surface 114 20 intersect each other. Thus, the fixed scroll 31 and the main frame 2 can be assuredly brought into contact with the respective positioning surfaces. In addition, the body portion 21 of the main frame 2 is brought into contact with the second positioning surface 116 formed on the middle shell 25  11, thereby the axial-direction position of the main frame 2 is determined. Further, in this state, the main frame 2 is fixed to the second inner waif surface 114 or the third inner wall surface 117 of the middle shell 11 by press fit or shrink fit, thereby the center position is determined. 5             If a retention force is insufficient, arc spot welding or the like may be further performed. Thus, the main frame 2 can be retained in the middle shell 11 in the state in which the center position, the axial-direction height position, and the phase are determined. 10

[0030] As shown in FIG. 2, FIG. 5, and FIG. 10, the surface of the first base plate 311 of the fixed scroll 31 on the side in which the first spiral body 312 is formed is brought into contact with the first positioning surface 113 formed in the middle shell 11, thereby the axial-direction 15 position of the fixed scroll 31 is determined. Further, in this state, a side surface 3111 of the first base plate 311 is fixed to the first inner wall surface 111 of the middle shell 11 by shrink fit, thereby the center position is determined. Thus, the fixed scroll 31 can be retained in the 20 middle shell 11 in the state in which the center position, the axial-direction height position, and the phase are determined. In addition, a function of separating a high pressure and a low pressure inside the shell 1 is imparted to the fixed scroll 31. 25

[0031] Next, a method for adjusting the clearance between each spiral body tip and each base plate of the fixed scroll 31 and the orbiting scroll 32 (teeth tip clearance) will be described with reference to FIG. 13. FIG. 13 is a view obtained by indicating dimensions in FIG. 10. The dimensions 5 of respective parts are set as follows, and then a teeth tip clearance Q can be represented by the following expression. L: the distance between the first positioning surface 113 and the second positioning surface 116 M: the distance between the first positioning 10 surface 113 and the tip of the first spiral body 312 N: the thickness of the second base plate 321 of the orbiting scroll 32 T: the thickness of the thrust plate 24 P: the distance between the second positioning 15 surface 116 and the flat surface 212 Q: the teeth tip clearance L = M+ Q + N+ T + P Thus, Q=L-M-N-T-Pis obtained.

[0032] Here, if the dimensions of the respective parts are 20 known by measurement, it is possible to obtain a desired teeth tip clearance Q by adjusting the thickness T of the thrust plate 24 for which the most sorts of and a largest number of products can be produced. By this adjustment, it is possible to prevent the refrigerant from passing through 25 the clearance between each spiral body tip and each base plate, and from leaking into an adjacent compression space. Thus loss of the compressor can be reduced.

[0033] Next, an assembly method until the fixed scroll 31 is inserted into the middle shell 11 will be described with 5 reference to FIG. 14 to FIG. 19. FIG. 14 is a flowchart showing a procedure of assembly until the fixed scroll 31 is inserted into the middle shell 11, as a part of the assembly process for the scroll compressor, FIG. 15 is a partial sectional view of the scroll compressor showing a state in 10 which the main frame is disposed in the middle shell, and FIG. 16 is a perspective view showing the relationship between a reference plane and the main frame. The flat surface 212 of the main frame 2 fixed to the middle shell 11 as shown in FIG. 15 is measured, whereby 15 the reference plane 25 as shown in FIG. 16 is set(step S001) . Specifically, by using a measurement instrument capable of measuring a coordinate point, a probe of the measurement instrument is brought into contact with a plane of the flat surface 212 in order to measure coordinates with respect to 20 the origin that the measurement instrument has. From the measured values, an expression of the plane is created by a least squares method, and this plane is defined as a plane at Z = 0 (Z represents an axis perpendicular to X axis and Y axis described later). Here, the reference plane serves as a 25 reference plane for the positions of holes to be measured in a step of setting reference axes of the main frame and a reference plane for the position of the orbiting scroll 32.

[0034] After setting the reference plane 25, the process proceeds to step S002. In FIG. 16, for convenience of 5 description of the assembly procedure, only the main frame 2 is shown. In actuality, the flat surface 212 is measured in a state in which the main frame 2 is fixed to the middle shell 11 in order to set the reference plane 25. In step S002, as shown in FIG. 16, a reference hole 26a and a 10 reference hole 26b of the main frame 2 are measured, and a center point 27a of the reference hole 26a and a center point 27b of the reference hole 26b are calculated. That is, by using the measurement instrument capable of measuring a coordinate point, the probe of the measurement instrument is 15 brought into contact with the inner circumferential surface of the reference hole 26a in order to measure coordinates. From the measured values, an expression of a circle is created by a least squares method, and the coordinates of the center point 27a of this circle are calculated. Similarly, 20 the coordinates of the center point 27b of the reference hole 26b are calculated.

[0035] A line passing the center point 27a and the center point 27b is set as a Y axis 28a, the midpoint of a segment connecting the center point 27a and the center point 27b is 25 set as an origin 29, and a line passing the origin 29 and perpendicular to the Y axis 28a is set as an X axis 28b. After setting the Y axis 28a and the X axis 28b, the process proceeds to step S003. Here, the reference holes 26a, 26b in FIG. 16 are circular blind holes present at positions along 5 the direction in which the Oldham ring 33 moves along the first Oldham grooves 215, and are located on the radially outer side with respect to the first Oldham grooves 215. FIG. 17 is a partial sectional view showing a state in which the orbiting scroll is disposed in the middle shell. 10

[0036] Next, as shown in FIG. 17, the bush 7 is disposed so as to be fitted to the eccentric shaft portion 62 of the crankshaft 6, the Oldham ring 33 is disposed at the Oldham storage portion 214 of the mam frame 2, the thrust plate 24 is disposed on the flat surface 212 of the main frame 2, and 15 a phase-determining member 2121 is disposed so as to be inserted into a first recess 2126 which is a positioning portion of the main frame 2 (step S003) . After the bush 7, the Oldham ring 33, the thrust plate 24, and the phasedetermining member 2121 are disposed in the middle shell 11, 20 the process proceeds to step S004. The positioning portion is not limited to the first recess 2126, and may have any shape such as a projection that enables positioning between the main frame 2 and the orbiting scroll 32. Here, the first recess 2126 in FIG. 17 is a circular blind hole located on 25 the radially outer side with respect to the thrust plate 24 and the orbiting scroll 32.

[0037] Next, as shown in FIG. 17, the orbiting scroll 32 is disposed on the thrust plate 24 (step S004). After the orbiting scroll 32 is disposed in the middle shell 11, the 5 process proceeds to step S005. FIG. 18 is a partial enlarged sectional view showing a part in the main frame and the orbiting scroll of the scroll compressor. As shown in FIG. 18, an edge portion 2124 of a second phase-determining member 2123 provided in the phase-determining member 2121 (a 10 boundary part between the second phase-determining member 2123 and a first phase-determining member 2122 described later) is detected by a sensor 9 such as a vision sensor (step S005). After the edge portion 2124 is detected by the sensor 9, the process proceeds to step S006. 15             In FIG. 18, the phase-determining member 2121 is shown in a two-stage cylindrical shape. That is, the phasedetermining member 2121 is formed into a two-stage cylindrical shape having the first phase-determining member 2122 and the second phase-determining member 2123 whose 20 diameters are different. By providing not only the first phase-determining member 2122 but also the second phasedetermining member 2123 as described above, variation due to the depth of focus can be suppressed. Thus, the phasedetermining member 2121 can have a plurality of phase- 25 determining members (first phase-determining member 2122 and second phase-determining member 2123) . The edge portion 2124 between the first phase-deternining member 2122 and the second phase-determining member 2123 is present on the same plane as the surface of the second base plate 321 from which 5 the second spiral body protrudes . It is only necessary that the edge portion 2124 that can be detected by the sensor 9 has an axial-direction height substantially equal to the axial-direction height of the second base plate 321 provided in the orbiting scroll 32, 10 and it is enough that the depth of focus of the edge portion 2124 can be substantially equal to the depth of focus of an edge portion 3251 described below. Also, a shape other than the above-described cylindrical shape may be used.

[0038] Next, as shown in FIG. 18, the edge portion 3251 of 15 a circular hole which is a position confirmation portion 325 provided in the orbiting scroll 32 is detected by the sensor 9 (step S006). Here, the position confirmation portion 325 is provided on the second base plate 321 of the orbiting scroll 32 and is disposed at a position away from the first 20 recess 2126 which is the positioning portion by a predetermined distance (the horizontal-direction distance between the position confirmation portion 325 and the first recess 2126 which is the positioning portion, i.e., the distance in a direction perpendicular to the second inner 25 wall surface 114 of the middle shell 11), and this distance is determined so that the fixed scroll 31 does not interfere with the orbiting scroll 32. After the edge portion 3251 is detected by the sensor 9, the process proceeds to step S007. A calculation device 91 shown in FIG. 18 includes a processor 5  100, a storage device 101, and a determination portion 102, as hardware. On the basis of the positions of the edge portions detected by the sensor 9, the determination portion 102 calculates a distance and the like described later, and then performs determination. 10             Although not shown, the storage device 101 is provided with a volatile storage device such as a random access memory and a nonvolatile auxiliary storage device such as a flash memory. Although not shown, the storage device 101 may be provided with an auxiliary storage device of a 15 hard disk or the like, instead of the nonvolatile auxiliary storage device.

[0039] The processor 100 executes a program inputted from the storage device 101. Since the storage device 101 is provided with the auxiliary storage device and the volatile 20 storage device, the program is inputted from the auxiliary storage device to the processor 100 via the volatile storage device. The processor 100 may output data such as a calculation result to the volatile storage device of the storage device 101, or may store the data in the auxiliary 25 storage device via the volatile storage device.

[0040] FIG. 19 is a partial enlarged plane view of the main frame and the orbiting scroll as seen from the one end side. Next, as shown in FIG. 19, a center point 2125 of the edge portion 2124 and a center point 3252 of the edge portion 5  3251 detected in step S005 and step S006 are calculated and a distance LI from the center point 2125 to the center point 3252 is calculated (step S007). That is, the edges are converted to coordinate points of point cloud, and equations of circles are created by a least squares method of a circle 10 and the coordinate points. From the equations of the circles, the center points of the circles (edges) are calculated, and the distance between the two center points is calculated, whereby the distance LI is calculated. In FIG. 19, an example in which the edge portion 15  3251 of the position confirmation portion 325 provided in the orbiting scroll 32 is formed as a circular hole, is shown. However, a different shape such as a notch or a groove may be used and the number thereof may be different.

[0041] Next, whether or not the distance LI calculated in 20 step S007 is within a predetermined threshold range is determined (step S008). If the distance LI is not less than a predetermined threshold, i.e., not less than such a distance that the fixed scroll 31 does not interfere with the orbiting scroll 32 (there is a sufficient gap between the 25 spiral bodies of the fixed scroll 31 and the orbiting scroll 32), the process proceeds to step S009. That is, if the distance LI is not less than the predetermined threshold, it is determined that the fixed scroll 31 does not interfere with the orbiting scroll 32. If the distance LI is less than 5 the predetermined threshold, the process returns to step S004 .

[0042] The determination method shown in FIG. 19 is performed by the processor 100 executing the program stored in the storage device 101 or a processing circuit such as a 10 system LSI (not shown). A plurality of processors 100 and a plurality of storage devices 101 may coordinate with each other in order to execute the above function. Further, a plurality of processing circuits may coordinate with each other in order to execute the above 15 function. Furthermore, a plurality of processors 100 and a plurality of storage devices 101, and a plurality of processing circuits, may be combined and coordinate with each other in order to execute the above function.

[0043] Next, the fixed scroll 31 is inserted into the 20 middle shell 11 (step S009). In inserting the fixed scroll 31 into the middle shell 11, the tip of the second phase-determining member 2123 is inserted into a second recess 314 (see FIG. 5) of the fixed scroll 31, whereby manufacturing is completed (see FIG. 25  2) . In this case, without finally extracting the phase determining member 2121, the scroll compressor is operated in a state in which the phase-determining member 2121 is attached. 10 20 25 In a case in which, as the positioning portion, a projection is provided instead of the first recess 2126, the tip of the projection is inserted into the second recess 314. Since the scroll compressor is assembled by the assembly procedure as described above, it is possible to perform assembly after it is determined that interference between the tips of the first spiral body 312 of the fixed scroll 31 and the second spiral body 322 of the orbiting scroll 32 can be avoided. Thus, deterioration in parallelism and perpendicularity between the fixed scroll 31 and the orbiting scroll 32 can be suppressed, the sliding resistance during operation of the scroll compressor can be reduced, and leakage in sealing between the compression chambers can be reduced, whereby deterioration in performance of the scroll compressor can be suppressed.

[0044] Embodiment 2 FIG. 20 is a partial enlarged plane view of a main frame and an orbiting scroll as seen from one end side. In embodiment 2, the method of measurement and calculation in step S007 shown in FIG. 14 in embodiment 1 is changed. As shown in FIG. 20, as the sensor 9, for example, a contacttype sensor such as a touch sensor or a contactless sensor such as a laser displacement sensor is moved in order to scan in a direction Sc, thereby the edge interval between the edge portion 2124 and the edge portion 3251 is detected and a movement amount L2 of the sensor 9 at this time is 5 calculated. By this performance, the distance from the center point 2125 to the center point 3252 is calculated. The other features in the assembly method are the same as those in embodiment 1, and the same effects as in embodiment 1 can be obtained. 10

[0045] Embodiment 3 FIG. 21 and FIG. 22 are partial enlarged plane views of a main frame and an orbiting scroll as seen from one end side according to embodiment 3. The present embodiment relates to the predetermined threshold in step S007 shown in 15 FIG. 14 in embodiment 1. In FIG. 21, a diagonal line area Hl is a movable range of the center point 3252 of the edge portion 3251 of the position confirmation portion 325. A diagonal line area H2 is a movable range of the center point 2125 of the edge portion 2124 of the positioning portion. In 20 the diagonal line area Hl, a direction indicated by an arrow P is the circumferential direction. At a designing stage, the first recess 2126 which is the positioning portion is designed such that the center point 2125 is located within the movable range H2. In addition, the position confirmation 25 portion 325 is designed such that the center point 3252 is located within the movable range Hl. As shown in FIG. 21, the first recess 2126 which is the positioning portion of the main frame 2 is disposed within the movable range H2 that can keep the threshold from the movable range Hl in which the 5 position confirmation portion 325 of the orbiting scroll 32 can be displaced.

[0046] The position confirmation portion 325 of the orbiting scroll 32 is disposed at a position away from the first recess 2126 which is the positioning portion of the 10 main frame 2 by the horizontal-direction distance between the first recess 2126 and the position confirmation portion 325 (i.e., the distance in a direction perpendicular to the second inner wall surface 114 of the middle shell 11). Therefore, the circumferential-direction P range shown in 15 FIG. 21 is a range determined so that the fixed scroll 31 does not interfere with the orbiting scroll 32. In FIG. 21, if the center point 3252 is present in the circumferential-direction P range, the fixed scroll 31 does not interfere with the orbiting scroll 32. 20             However, the first recess 2126 which is the positioning portion of the mam frame 2 may be disposed at a position other than the circumferential-direction P range in which the position confirmation portion 325 of the orbiting scroll 32 is displaced. For example, if the phase of the 25 first recess 2126 which is the positioning portion of the main frame 2 and the phase of a gap formed between the crankshaft 6 and the slider 71 are made so as to coincide with each other, even when the first recess 2126 is located at a position of 180 degrees from the position shown in 5 embodiment 1, a predetermined threshold can be provided. And it is possible to determine whether or not interference occurs by determining whether or not a distance not less than the threshold is ensured. For example, as shown in FIG. 22, the center point of the edge portion 2124 may be located at a 10 position that is 180-degree symmetric with respect to the center point 2125 of the edge portion 2124 shown in FIG. 21 about the center axis, whereby a predetermined threshold can be provided. The other features in the assembly method are the 15 same as those in embodiment 1, and the same effects as in embodiment 1 are obtained. In addition, swift detection can be performed by using the same sensor.
