Abstract

A method for evaluating contour display accuracy for radiotherapy, the method comprising obtaining, by a control device, a through plane distorted MR image comprising a representation of a phantom disposed on a patient support surface of a radiotherapy device and determining a difference between the representation of the phantom and a reference contour of the phantom. Also disclosed is a phantom 500 for use in evaluating contour display accuracy comprising an outer surface tapered along at least one axis of the phantom between a base and a tapered end, and a fixation mechanism 510 configured to fix the phantom on a patient support surface 114 of a radiotherapy device such that the tapered end is selectively alignable at different respective times with each of three perpendicular axes of the radiotherapy device.
