Abstract

The present invention provides a vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) aircraft (1) comprising: a fuselage (100) having a front portion (106) and a rear portion (108) and forward and aft wing assemblies; a plurality of pivot mounts (50); wherein each wing (10, 20, 30, 40) is: independently rotatable between a first flight position (11, 21, 31, 41) and a second manoeuvring position (21, 22, 32, 42), is pivotally connected to the central structure (100) at one of the plurality of pivot mounts (50) and includes one or more propulsion units (60) fixed to each wing (10, 20, 30, 40) and movable therewith.
