Sullman baby carrier protective shell

Abstract

A protective shell 5 for use with a baby carrier 1. The shield may detachably attach to existing baby carriers, for example via clips 6, 7, 8 which fasten to straps 2, 3, 4 of the carrier. The shell may have cushioned pads on supports 9, 10 which rest against a parent’s body in use for comfort and protect the baby. The shield may also incorporate a head protection cushion 11. Alternatively the shell may be provided as an integral component of current styles of baby carrier, integrally incorporate the component parts of a baby carrier, incorporate at least one detachable component part of a baby carrier, or show some combination of these aspects. The shell may be rigid or at least partially flexible. The invention as a whole may include neck support and protection, thigh support means, a handle or a carrying strap.
