Abstract

An aircraft assembly 1 with an aircraft structure includes a flight control surface, 3a, 3b that is moveable relative to the aircraft structure between a retracted configuration and a deployed configuration. A rigid chain actuator 50a is connected between the aircraft structure and the flight control surface. The rigid chain actuator includes a drive assembly 56a and a chain 54a and the chain extends through the drive assembly towards the flight control surface 22. The drive assembly is arranged to drive the chain to move the flight control surface between the retracted and deployed configurations.
