Description

Spatulas are used to apply cream or wax for hair removal. In general, a user would use a spatula to spread the cream or wax on to the user’s body. The spatula may also be used to remove excess cream or wax from the user’s body. The spatula may be stored in a stack prior to packing. The storage of the spatulas in a stack may make removal of one spatula from the stack of spatulas difficult and reduce packing efficiency. For example, separating the spatulas from one another in the stack may be problematic. The present disclosure is related to a spatula that provides a user-friendly design and an efficient packing process. According to the present invention, there is provided a spatula according to claim 1. Aspects of the disclosure are also described in detail, by way of example only, with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which: Figure 1 shows a spatula for spreading hair removal cream or wax; Figure 2 show a spatula for spreading hair removal cream or wax with a gripping portion; and Figure 3 a cross section taken through A-A of the spatula of Figures 1 and 2. Figure 1 shows a spatula 2. The spatula 2 illustrated in Figure 1 comprises an elongate portion having a first end 4 and a second end 6. The first end 4 has a first width and a second end 6 has a second width. The width is defined as the dimension of the spatula 2 in a direction perpendicular to the elongate direction of the spatula 2. In this example the first end 4 is used to spread the cream or wax and the second end 6 held by the user when applying the cream or wax. Figure 2 shows a spatula 2 having a griping portion 10. In the example illustrated the second end 6 comprises the gripping portion 10. The gripping portion 10 is configured to allow the user to more easily grip the spatula 2. In the examples shown in Figure 1 and 2, the spatula 2 comprises a curved outer edge 8. The curved outer edge 8 is configured to provide a surface forthe userto spread or scrape the cream or wax from the skin. For example, the user may use the periphery of the curved outer edge corresponding to the outer edge of the spatula 2 to scrape cream or wax. In the examples illustrated, the spatula comprises one or more nodules 12 configured to separate one spatula 2 from another spatula 2 when the spatulas are in a stack. For example, during the packing process the spatulas 2 may be stacked. The stacking of the spatulas 2 may make the separation of the spatulas 2 difficult. For example, the bottom surface of the upper spatula 2 contacting the upper surface of the bottom spatula 2 may lead to difficulty separating the spatulas 2. The addition of nodules 12 allows for easier separation of the spatulas 2. Figure 3 shows a cross section of the spatula 2 shown in Figures 1 and 2. The cross section shows the spatula 2 having a flat portion 14 and the curved outer edge 8. In the example illustrated the curved outer edge 8 encloses the flat portion 14. The cross section shows the one or more nodules 12 located on the curved outer edge 8 and on the flat portion 14. In the example shown in Figures 1 and 2, the spatula comprises four nodules 12. In an example, the nodules 12 have a height of between 0.5mm and 1,5mm, for example 0.6mm to 1mm. In the example illustrated in Figure 3, the height of the nodule 12 varies. For example, the nodule 12 has a greater height at the flat portion 14 relative to the height of the nodule 12 at the curved outer edge 8. In an example the height of the nodule 12 varies from 1 mm to 0.6mm. In an example, wherein the first width is between 15mm and 25mm, for example 18mm to 22mm, for example 20mm. The second width is between 12mm and 23mm, for example 15mm to 19mm, for example 17mm. In an example the flat portion 14 has width of 9mm to 11 mm, for example 10.3mm at the first end. In an example, the spatula 2 is made from PCR Poly Propylene. The spatula 2 may also be made from PP. In the example above, the spatula has a first width and a second width. In a further example, the spatula 2 may have a constant width. Further modifications and developments can be made without departing from the scope of the invention described herein.

Claims

1. A spatula for spreading hair removal cream or wax;the spatula comprising an elongate portion having a first width for spreading the cream or wax and a second width for a user to hold;wherein the spatula comprises a curved outer edge;wherein the spatula comprises one or more nodules configured to separate one spatula from another spatula when the spatulas are in a stack.

2. The spatula of claim 1, wherein the nodules have a height of between 0.5mm and 1,5mm, for example 0.6mm to 1 mm.

3. The spatula of claim 1 or 2, wherein the first width is between 15mm and 25mm and the second width is between 12mm and 23mm.

4. The spatula of any preceding claim, wherein the first width is at a first end of the elongate spatula and the second width is at a second end of the elongate spatula.

5. The spatula of any preceding claim, further comprising a gripping portion at the second end of the spatula.

6. The spatula of any preceding claim, wherein the one or more nodules are located on the curved outer edge7. The spatula of any preceding claim, wherein the spatula comprises four nodules.

8. The spatula of any preceding claim, wherein the spatula further comprises a flatportion; andwherein the curved outer edge encloses the flat portion.

9. The spatula of claim 8, wherein the one or more nodules located on the curved outer edge and on the flat portion.

10. The spatula of claim 9, wherein the nodule has a greater height at the flat portion relative to the height of the nodule at the curved outer edge.

11. The spatula of claim 10, wherein the height of the nodules varies from 1mm to 0.6mm.
