Claims

1. A fire extinguisher comprising:at least one blanket having a perimeter and a centre;at least one ring coupled to the centre of the blanket, wherein the ring is configured to fold or unfold the blanket on rotation;at least one column having an upper region, a medial region and a lower region, the medial region is rotatable around an axis X, wherein the medial region is coupled to the ring;a processor communicably coupled with the column to control the rotation motion of the medial region; anda sensor communicably coupled with the processor, and the sensor is configured to sense and locate a fire and communicate the fire location to the processor.

2. The fire extinguisher as claimed in claim 1, wherein the ring is a collapsible ring having a collapsed configuration and a round configuration, wherein the collapsible ring is configured to fold the perimeter of the blanket in the collapsed configuration and unfold the perimeter of the blanket in the round configuration.

3. The fire extinguisher as claimed in claim 2, wherein the rotation motion of the medial region is configured to facilitate transition in the configuration of the collapsible ring.

4. The fire extinguisher as claimed in claim 3, wherein the processor initiates rotation of the column's medial region that facilitates the collapsible ring's transition from the collapsed configuration to the round configuration to unfold the perimeter of the blanket over the fire.

5. The fire extinguisher as claimed in claim 1, wherein the medial region of the column comprises a motor communicably coupled with the processor, and the motor is configured to provide rotation motion to the medial region.

6. The fire extinguisher as claimed in claim 1 further comprises:a cover detachably coupled to the upper region of the column, wherein the cover has an enclosed space with an open bottom configured to cover the folded blanket; anda base detachably coupled to the lower region of the column, the base has a top surface and a bottom surface, wherein the base is configured to support the folded blanket.

7. The fire extinguisher as claimed in claim 6, wherein the column is telescopicand the column is configured to have an extended or a retracted length along the axis X.

8. The fire extinguisher as claimed in claim 7, wherein the length of the column is retracted in idle condition, and extended when fire is sensed by the sensor, and the length of the column is controlled by the processor.

9. The fire extinguisher as claimed in claim 8, wherein during the idle condition, the blanket is tightly wound, sprung loaded and stored within the cover and over the top surface of the base.

10. Tire fire extinguisher as claimed in claim 6 further comprises a chemical / water shooter / sprinkler communicably coupled with the processor and provided at the bottom surface of the cover, wherein the chemical / water shooter / sprinkler is configured to release a fire-retardant chemical on the fire covered by the perimeter of the unfolded blanket.

11. The fire extinguisher as claimed in claim 10, wherein the fire-retardant chemical is selected from fire retardant foam, water, carbon dioxide foam, sand, or unreactive gas.

12. The fire extinguisher as claimed in claim 6, wherein the cover comprises a plurality of coupling slots to couple the fire extinguisher with a roof, or a pole, or a drone.

13. The fire extinguisher as claimed in claim 1 further comprises a mechanical spring coupled to the ring, wherein the mechanical spring is configured to rapidly rotate the ring for rapid release and unfolding of the blanket.

14. The fire extinguisher as claimed in claim 1, further comprises a rechargeable battery configured to provide power to the fire extinguisher in an event of power failure.

15. The fire extinguisher as claimed in claim 1, wherein tire blanket is a fire-retardant blanket selected from a group of fiberglass, kevlar, woven-nylon, ceramic fibre, silica.

16. The fire extinguisher as claimed in claim 1 further comprises a reset switch communicably coupled with the processor, wherein once the reset switch is pressed, the processor initiates the folding of the blanket by rotating the ring.

17. A fire extinguisher comprising:a blanket having a perimeter and a centre;a ring coupled to the centre of the blanket, wherein the ring is configured to fold or unfold the blanket on rotation;a mechanical spring coupled to the ring, wherein the mechanical spring is configured to rapidly rotate the ring for rapid release and unfolding of the blanket;a telescopic column having an upper region, a medial region and a lower region, the medial region is rotatable around an axis X, wherein the medial region is coupled to the ring;a processor communicably coupled with the column to control the rotation motion of the medial region;a sensor communicably coupled with the processor, and the sensor is configured to sense and locate a fire and communicate the fire location to the processor;a motor communicably coupled with the processor and mechanically coupled to the medial region of the column, wherein the motor is configured to provide rotation motion to the medial region;a cover detachably coupled to the upper region of the column, wherein the cover has an enclosed space with an open bottom configured to cover the folded blanket;a base detachably coupled to the lower region of the column, the base has a top surface and a bottom surface, wherein the base is configured to support the folded blanket;a chemical shooter communicably coupled with the processor and provided at the bottom surface of the base, wherein the chemical shooter is configured to release a fire-retardant chemical on the fire covered by the perimeter of the unfolded blanket; anda reset switch communicably coupled with the processor, wherein once the reset switch is pressed, the processor initiates the folding of the blanket by rotating the ring from a round configuration to a collapsed configuration.

18. The fire extinguisher as claimed in claim 17 further comprises a drone coupled to the cover and communicably coupled to the processor, wherein the drone is configured to transport the fire extinguisher over the fire.

19. A method for extinguishing a fire comprising steps of:sensing and locating a fire, by a sensor;communicating the location of fire to a processor;positioning the fire extinguisher over the fire;extending a telescopic column of the fire extinguisher to lift a cover from a base to expose a blanket coupled to a medial region of the column;releasing a mechanical spring coupled to a ring of the blanket to rapidly unfold the blanket to cover the fire with a perimeter of the blanket; andreleasing a fire-retardant chemical over the fire by a chemical shooter to extinguish the fire.

20. The method for extinguishing as claimed in claim 19, wherein once the fire is extinguished, the method further comprises steps of resetting the fire extinguisher by pressing a reset switch of the fire extinguisher, the processor initiates the folding of the blanket by rotating the ring from a round configuration to a collapsed configuration.16
